The White Swan - Pub in Wete, Tanzania
Sunday lunch for a party of 11 at 24 hours notice with no hassle. Food was amazing, generous portions and the meat (we had lamb, beef and chickenwas melt in the mouth. Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch FIVE STARS!
Great place awesome staff will be attending again very soon thanks for the amazing time
Good traditional English pub with a nice range of real ales as well a wine spirits and lager.
Great little boozer this good selection of beers and a great selection of real ales. Friendly and helpful staff, an amazing beer garden beautiful. We didnt eat but the menu looks great, saw food coming out it looked and smelt lovely. We were in for the quiz night didnt do it but great turn out and was a very well organized quiz. I gathered that they do a lot of live music also. All in all well worth a visit if your in the area
Lovely little pub. Good selection of beers and real ales, a lovely beer garden. We didnt eat but the menu looked very good and did see food go out and it looked and smelt lovely, friendly staff on the bar. Well worth a visit if your in the area
An Absolutely Disappointing trip to the swan again! Staff are useless.. Every time its something different; todays nonsense is ‘we have a party, so no one else can have food’ okay.... so why is the menu here? And also.. what kind of management run this place? It makes sense to hire extra staff for functions and always do something more about complaints than ‘oh sorry u feel that way’ complete joke place and don’t deserve customers to be honest..
The White Swan in Charlton Village was lovely in every way possible. Food was excellently well presented hot, meat was succulent and soft u had the slow cooked Lamb and it was reasonably priced. The staff where very accommodating, checking everything was ok periodically. I will definitely be taking my family back there. Thanks very much everyone for a wonderful evening.
Visit this pub regularly and it has a brilliant selection of beersCan get busy on a match day staff always try there best to keep serving times to a minimumDidnt realise untill recently that they do breakfast menu on Sunday which we took advantage of and was nt disappointed with the outcomeWell done to all Involved 👌
Really good traditional pub, well run and local
Friendly and efficient staff. Huge range of real ales, and a long list of music and other events, to bring people from afar. Toilets are acceptable standard, and food available. Recommended as a proper old British pub.
Huge range of well-kept beers (and a few cidersand helpful staff in a lovely traditional old boozer. Personally found Status Quo at 120dB didnt add too much to their Oktoberfest but I forgive them!
Excellent local, loads going on and finally Charlton has a pub to be proud of. Frequent events, fresh beers and fresh ideas including family friendly brunch which is surprising good and really really good value. Well worth a little trip.
Had a business lunch here today. And the food was cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were attentive to all our needs. I shall definitely return again
Lovely pub, probably the friendliest and welcoming bar staff I have come across in years. Decent prices and definitely a place you want to return to.
Good community pub with a changing beer selection. ... especially when Charlton play as fans celebrate/commiserate. Probably the best quiz in the area, every Tuesday at 20:30. Food good too and they have pop ups so check Facebook or website.
Nice pub in Charlton village with nice surroundings
Good selection of ales and beers. Massive beer garden so perfect for when the weather is hot and sunny like today
Great venue for family. Went upstairs for a private bday party. Very large room. They cater food but chef easy on the salt please.
I had my 30th birthday here and from start to finish it was great, the staff were so helpful and really took care of us. The room is beautiful, a brilliant space for a party. Also has a lovely garden. I would recommend the pub to anyone and especially for a party .
Decent pub, good setting. Limited number of beers but good for watching football. They run a weekly quiz every week which is good fun.Lots of Charlton FC memorabilia on the walls which is a nice touch
Good beer. Nice beer garden. Has live music and the food looks quite nice
Really nice, friendly local pub. Good, fun pub quiz and a decent sized beer garden
Great pub and the falafel meal is AMAZING, proper falafel and it comes with chips, salad, pita and hummus really great value. Good selection of beers as well and also spirited drinks. Lots of events on during the week so theres always something going on at the White Swan :)
Food is not good at all if you know about food, and why is it so expensive for few chips on your plate! You don’t even get a proper tarter sauce with your fish shame..
Great pub outstanding service great music the aim go but there albums
Its an intimate music venue but it works well. Good selection of beers at sensible prices. Polite bar staff.
Recently rediscovered after being run under new management.Love this pub, kind helpful staff, great service, gorgeous interior, lovely food, chilled atmosphere.A must visit & Sister Pub The Pelton Arms...just superb! 😊
Gin collection to die for. If it is not worth having The White Swan does not stock it. Lovely garden area and great atmosphere. Staff really look after you and reasonable prices. Would highly reccomend.
Good and regularly changing range of ales and craft beers. Fantastic pop-up pizza van on Wednesday nights with Wandercrust
A decent local pub. Fair selection of beers, but no cider when we visited. The pub was almost empty, so cant comment on atmosphere.
Great pub downstairs and nice venue upstairs with good sized rooms ... The garden is very pleasant with trees and table tennis tables, lovely for a sunny day
Nice pub, good selection of beers, proper traditional pub. Great band played there last night called the Skalites . deffo check them out
Lovely friendly pub with heaps of personality. Great service, good wine & a real fire.
Ver dissapointed. We walked here as we read they were dog friendly to fìnd the kitchen was closed. Even thou on their website it states the kitchen is open from 1pm to 6pm on a Sunday. Someone should update the site.
Just popped in for a quick pint because a friend was playing there that night. Nice pub though with good service and normal prices for the area.
Great pub. Family friendly, can take my dogs there and has a pretty good garden bar to boot
Lovely community pub. All pubs should be like this - friendly, informal with live music and a fireplace! Pay them a visit and help keep it here.
Good local pub. Friendly staff and good beer selection.
Love this pub. Havent tried the food, but they have a good selection of Real Ales. Good size garden also. Bus stop nearby and parking not far also. Great place, will definitely be in again.
Decent ale selection, often has live music and beer festivals. Boardgames available to play in the pub as well as quiz machine. Also football available on the big screen without the TV always being on as is the case in most other football watching pubs.
Great beer selection and a large garden. Bands on every week and very good pub food
A great pub thats a focus of regeneration for the local area. Excellent selection of beers, good food, live music, friendly staff - the perfect local.
Service was good, food was alright and they had some live music (wasnt all that great but Im sure they change the bands from time to time)Went on a Sunday at 3pm, ordered while sitting at the bar but a table became available by the time we got our food. The Yorkshire was a bit burnt but the rest of the dinner was good. The roast chicken wasnt dry and all the veg/gravy that came with both was tasty, reasonable portion sizes as well. Two drinks and two mains came to £33... Not bad for a few roast dinners.
Good pub. Nice decor and good atmosphere. Great range of real ales
Great local pub with good good and beer. They usually have some interesting guest ales and ciders on. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Quiz on Tuesday nights.
Lovely local Charlton Village pub offering excellent craft beers and great value delicious meals. Spacious beer garden and great armchairs.
The new management have transformed The White Swan into a great pub. With an interesting and varied selection of real ales and cider and fair value food. They have a varied programme of events including some great live music and a real fire when its chilly. CAMRA members get a discount and theres a Monday club. A decent pub was the one thing Charlton previously lacked, with the turnaround of The White Swan, the area now has a destination pub worth travelling to.
Brilliant community pub - good food, great choice of beers and more, quality friendly service, games, papers, pleasant garden (for when its warmerbut above all a tremendous character. The White Swan has made a hugely positive impression since reopening in late September.
Recently taken on by new management, this place looks to be a great pub in the making. Came for lunch, lovely roast. Particularly liked beer selection. Definitely coming back.
The food is superb here and everything is super tasty. The menu is seasonal and features a wide range of traditional dishes. I would definitely recommend it to all local visitors.
