Unusual 300-year-old pub building and patio garden showing hints of different architectural styles.
Very nice, food was excellent. Not too pricey. Lovely atmosphere.
Had a super meal with lovely staff! Will definitely be back! The Harveys was fab! 👍😁🤩 xxx
Absolutely loved the fact that there is a dedicated G/F Menu with lots of dishes to choose from. The fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding is amazing, I would highly recommend a visit. Thanks to all for making our lunch sitting so enjoyable.
Great service good food attentive staff , whats not to like
We entered the pub and was told by a woman an hour so we booked online and got in in 20 mins and we discovered there were lots of tables free at the backAnyway the service and food were excellent, it was a real pleasure and food was delicious
It was my first visit to The White Hart after a day out to Knole Park. It is a lovely pub with a very large garden. The service was very good being an early Saturday evening. The food was excellent; I had the Mushroom bourguignon pie with olive oil mash, red wine gravy and sautéed greens.
Had a meal here with family last Sunday for my Mums Birthday. They were very friendly, and accommodating even though I was late, and everyone was happy with their meals. My lamb roast was absolutely delish. The pub is gorgeous and well maintained. Was a lovely evening 🙂
We have been before on a few occasions, the latest was a bit last minute to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I booked the table via the website which was quick and easy. As always there is a friendly greeting when you arrive and we were shown to our table and within seconds a bottle of water was on the table along with the menus. We had a lovely evening, the service was first class and the food fantastic and the portion size was spot on for us.
Very good food and staff. They have a lovely conservatory, which makes eating there very pleasant. Also found that they have a very good selection of drinks, including beers and gin.
Beautiful food and great service. Lovely atmosphere and a fantastic play area for children.I didnt give 5 stars because there were wasps everywhere and no blue zappers or anything else to kill or trap them. We spent our meal being wasp ninjas!
Excellent Saturday lunch friendly and very efficient staff, wonderful scallops followed by a brilliant crispy beef salad, washed down by two pints of gorgeous Harveys bitter 👍🍺🍺
Great pub, good selection of beers. Food and service was also great. Plenty of parking space.
The food was delicious and good sized portions.Staff were pleasant and helpful. The White Hart appears to be very popular. We made a noon booking for Sunday and on arrival there were plenty of parking spaces. On leaving at about 14:00 customers were waiting for a vacant parking place.
Its okay... just very average, so the sort of place which people in the south east seem to like. There was a heavy, winter menu despite it being lunch time in August during a heatwave. I had a somewhat boring burger which couldnt be pink as per my request but had to be overcooked because of where the meat was outsourced from, or something equally uninspiring.Unfortunately we had a horrible table, crammed between the bar and steps up to a raised area, with only one proper chair. The parking here is ridiculous - basically there is none whatsoever if you arrive at 12:45. I have a blue badge and there is one disabled space only which was of course taken, and its therefore not very welcoming even before youve even got inside. On the plus side, the staff are very nice and they make a good lager shandy.
The food is absolutely superb!I could not recommend this pub/restaurant more highly. If you have not been yet, you simply must. Fantastic !!
Extremely busy lunch time but service was very quick ,waitress was efficient and friendly. The food was well presented and delicious, and we enjoyed the smaller sweet with a coffee included .would have liked the Goats cheese cake as a mains it was absolutely delicious.
Great experience, lovely servers (Matthew - I think was his name, was especially wonderful). Good food and drinks. 2nd visit for me and was just as nice as the first. Highly recommend to friends. An extra note: All staff said hello, welcome, asked how we were, checked in etc. It really enhanced the atmosphere and made us feel so special and welcome.
Food was delicious, friendly attentive staff, didnt rush us which was lovely as we were catching up for the first time in a long time. Would definitely go back.
An excellent evening meal with fine wine and service and a very buzzing atmosphere. Well done the White Hart team.Still 5 STARS after an absence of some months. Steak 🥩 Nibbles and delicious Wine 🍷🍷 Definitely one of my favourite spots in town.
Nice venue, small play area for children, spacious garden with seating. Ate in conservatory which was nice, lovely food.
Excelent food and service, really a must, sure i will come back soon, thanks
Very good pub. Excellent roast, desserts and drink selection. Not unreasonable prices and tremendous staff. Whats not to like..?
Friendly staff and decent food. My risotto was delicious.
Excellent menu choice, staff attentive. Setting lovely. Very good experience overall. Definitely be back again
First visit, had a great welcome, enjoyed a good Sunday lunch and great service from very happy and pleasant staff. Will definitely return
Really welcoming pub and staff. Great Sunday lunch, large choice of wines and lunch felt home made rather than being an add on to a pub. 2nd visit, will be back soon.
Myself my partner and mum enjoyed the food, drinks, service and the little garden and garden shack it was an afternoon out for my mum a treat for her but we all loved it.
One of my favourite pubs. Friendly, attentive staff, excellent food, and a very clean and well-maintained environment. Also dog-friendly!
Lovely setting with space for children to playI ordered the small fish and chips and was very disappointed the fish had very thick oily batter more batter than fish although the fish was very fresh Good job I ordered a large glass of wine which I thoroughly enjoyed on the lovely sunny terrace
Nice restaurant attached to a good pub. The environment is very nice. The outdoor garden is very pleasant in the summer and there is a children’s play area near the car. The white Hart is located along the edge of Knoll park.
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at this pub. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating to us - we had requested a table in a ventilated area due to a member of our party being pregnant and wanting to avoid covid. They provided this and were also apologetic when another customer were rude to us for wanting to keep the windows open. They were also very attentive throughout and kept us updated when the food took a little longer than expected, although we didn’t mind! Food was delicious too. I would love to come back here if I’m in the area again.
What a delightful pub and restaurant. Sitting atop a hill overlooking Sevenoaks and the North downs, the beer garden on a sunny afternoon is an absolute must!Great selection of beers is on offer. The staff are really friendly and its not too pricey either.Saving the best for last, the food is absolutely delicious. I had a chicken and leek pie which was a whole individual pie, great pastry and the sauce was unreal. The fish and chips looked really good too.
The food was really nice. Good value for money. Lovely location. Staff were accomodating. Service was a bit slow today.
Great food that isnt slow to arrive, very patience staff when dealing with kids, dogs and ordering questions. A great GF menu and lovely building inside. The only disapointment is the messy garden that needs a good mow and tidy up once a week. Its just unloved and for such a wounderfull place it is a shame.
Lovely venue and well located next to Knole Park. Delicious beef in the Sunday roast but let down by the trimmings & pudding. The veg portions were inadequate, roast potatoes weren’t crispy and the Yorkshire looked like a pancake. Such a shame as the overall taste of the meal was good - it wouldn’t take much to make this a great roast. Sticky toffee pud was dry and shy of sauce.
Fantastic menu, so much choice. I finally chose the homemade quiche, belive me I could have ordered every single thing of the menu. It was lovely, definitely homemade, lots of filling, crisp thin pastry, gorgeous. Service was excellent, pricing I would say reasonable for premium food. I would recommend a visit just to try the quiche.
The food is absolutely AMAZING, this is now one of my favourite restaurants.Staff was very friendly and approachable, the wait for the food is not long. The atmosphere is very relaxed, cosy and vibrant.I am writing this review in the car on the way back from the White Hart and I already cannot wait to be back 😃
A group of friends and I visited last Tuesday. The meals were fantastic, they even had a gluten free menu. I am trying to lose weight and they prepared a meal for me that wasnt on the menu. Our server was polite and helpful, I would definitely say he went the extra mile. All in all, would I recommend them? Yes 100% xx
Ive been to this pub multiple times before. It is a high-end pub as part of a chain, and Im always impressed when I got to this pub or a sister pub. Prices are naturally slightly higher than a grubbier pub, but the restaurant is clean and tidy and feels very comfortable. Food is lovely and staff are friendly.
We had a superb lunch with friends here on Sunday. We could relax with our dogs alongside, which meant we stayed for three courses and coffee and cocktails and so on! Never disappointed, The White Heart is consistently great all round. Friendly, inviting, hospitable, food excellent, restaurant clean and comfortable. The Chocolate cherry torte dessert was absolutely delicious! Im still thinking about it!
Lovely pub, friendly staff, and tasty grub, especially as you can earn your food by doing the popular red/black/blue circular walking routes around the nearby Knole Park (also with a look around the lovely National Trust house if you are memberssurrounded by beautiful grounds and free roaming Deer. We really love these sorts of pubs that you can build your walks and days out at National Trust buildings, as we like to support out National treasures and also the local businesses and pubs too.The food was fantastic as were the puddings, so we will come back again and again. My wife is still cautious about eating indoors, so they have a fantastic setup for outdoors eating with a waterproof cover and heaters above which have control for the customers to turn on or off according to preference. Staff were friendly and seemed very happy with working there and made you feel they enjoyed chatting to clients without pressure which I really like to see. We took some friends who had never been to that part of the world and they were very impressed considering they usually dont do pub grub. They also gave out some loyalty vouchers to collect for payment towards a future meal there.Car park can get busy, so drive past that and there are some free parking streets nearby with a hundred metres.Very classy place, so get your rambling boots on and do the walk before you BULK up on the food!
The staff are very friendly and professional it’s a relaxed atmosphere I love the fact the food is all fresh not bought in pre made or frozen. The place is very well run and the head chef is extremely experienced and runs a fantastic kitchen with interesting menu items with great flavours. There is a large garden with plenty of seating, a bar and a conservatory area you can dine in as well as a large car park and a children’s play area. The food is very good all round and so is the service - definitely give it a try.
Great ambienceEnticing menuServed quick and deliciousEfficient customer serviceGood collection of drinks and alesBraised lamb shoulder was fantastic
Lovely food in a beautiful beamy building. The garden is pretty too. The COVID precautions were all in place with good distancing between diners, contactless sanitiser stations and all staff in visors plus no staff contact with your cutlery and single use menus with the date printed at the top. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch!
Very nice, turned up on the off chance as 7oaks was shut due to a funeral. Was not disappointed, manager went the extra mile to find us a table, food was great, only downside was wifes Bacardi didnt taste correct.
When the English summer weather finally gets to that point where people are saying “it’s too hot!” you have to react accordingly. By visiting The White Hart you have made an excellent choice. If you want to really cool down then sit inside and admire the dark, dank corners of this historic pub. If you want to embrace the sunshine in a pretty setting, sit out front. If you want to be social, absorb some rays and contemplate a bite to eat there is a abundant back yard. I sat in the veranda area, absorbed not only sunshine, but the historic details of the pub and area from the array of exhibits that spread across its walls. The food is sensational for a pub, up there with some of the best, presented with care and packed full of flavour. The whole experience reminded me somewhat of The Horseshoes pub over in East Farleigh.Service was down to earth and chatty, albeit a little overstretched given the mass of customers (given the fine day we had). A great place, which has a fine selection of ales to boot.
Best pub in the world. Amazing, super-friendly staff, in a fantastic setting with a lovely garden. Food is superb with a wide variety of beers, gins and drinks to complement. I can not recommend this pub highly enough.
Great food, friendly staff, good prices very nice pub with outdoor area and dogs are welcomed. Book in advance. Recommended.
Standard gastropub offering, done very well. Decent portions and quality good. Prices on the higher end but worth it. Delightful beer garden out back
Lovely pub/restaurant at the edge of Sevenoaks. A lot of attention to detail with the decor, particularly with the Christmas decorations.Good sized bar with a large selection of spirits and dog friendly in one section. Fair price for the drinks themselves which is a plus.Had the 3 course Christmas meal with a large party which I was very impressed with. The only complaint I have was the sprouts were hard, other than that the meal was sublime.Does appear to get very busy so best to book ahead if eating in.
