Quick service, interesting menu, really tasty food.Although busy, they don’t seem rushed, got served quickly, drinks arrived quickly, just how it should be really.Doesn’t feel crammed, liked the interior, big log burner going, so overall really enjoyed the visit.Salt and pepper squid with delicious salad.Roast beefCheese boardPerfect Sunday!

Just had a very delicious meal at the White Hart. Very enjoyable evening. Excellent service. Will definitely return.

Been here a few times, the service is great with friendly customer service, the food is amazing, the best squid I have ever had. Overall just a great place. Cat the manager is always welcoming. Will be coming back soon

Stopped for a quick lunch and had fish cakes and pork belly. The pork belly was lovely, but not crispy on the crackling and the fish cakes were nice, but chips had clearly been reheated or over cooked as they were dry. Expected a little more at those prices.

Excellent Sunday lunch and atmosphere

Lovely country pub. Nice menu with choices, although as I visited at lunch time it would have been nice to have some ‘lighter’ options perhaps. Really enjoyed what I had however, a starter. The staff were very friendly, polite and attentive. I will be back!

Its a fantastic pub. Probably the best food around. Better than the bricklayers in Flaunden.

We had a lovely meal on Sunday. I had the roast chicken and my partner had the vegeterianwellington, both were delicious! Very accomodating, lovely staff. We will be revisiting soon.

This is exactly what you want from a pub. Great service, lovely food, beautiful pub. The whole set up is so welcoming and warm. One of the nicest places to eat around!

We stopped here by chance on our way to Drift limits. What a great place to find on the off chance.Lovely cosy place. Staff were friendly with great customer service.The food was delicious. I had the home made pie the beef melted in your mouth. Perfect.My husband said his cod was the best he has had in a long while.Our grandson had a burger described as really good.If we wasnt so far away we would definitely be there on a regular basis.

Very good and great garden. Popular on Sunday so recommend to book a table. The garden is great and sitting in the marquee was a good choice. More space and direct access to the garden for grandson. Food was good and on the expensive side for what it was. My feedback would be that there is possibly too much choice on a Sunday and the Roasts and specials would be more than enough... my preference only! Great service.

How all pubs should be: great food; roaring fires; local brews on tap; and excellent service! I had the scotch egg, beef and ale pie and the plum frangipane - all delicious. Well done!

I had a very pleasant experience with the White Hart. Lovely inside and outside. Huge garden with a very pleasant atmosphere. Great menu and selections. Everything that we had was simply amazing. Looking forward to get back soon. Staff were very friendly and ready to assist. I totally recommend!!!

First visit here post-Covid (used to go lots in 2019and I wasnt disappointed.The food continues to be first class. The owner/manager has clearly recruited / kept on an able chef. The grub here is restaurant standard. E.g. crispy pork belly where the meat falls apart and the fat is crunchy and salty.Good garden for outside dining and overall country pub feel.

My first visit, recommended by my family yesterday. Excellent freshly prepared and cooked food, great choice on the menu ( very unusual at the moment). Real ales. Outside dining with overhead heaters . Will be back very soon

Second time we’ve been there in a month. Very impressed last time but I’m afraid yesterday’s visit wasn’t so good.I had the same meal (burger and chipsbut this time the chips were poor and felt tougher. Last time they were crisp on outside and fluffy in the inside.So disappointed but the service was good.

This was a lovely meal to celebrate a birthday and as usual Cat and his team were brilliant.This was during the Corvid 19 period and the hygiene was excellent, protecting both the clientele and staff.

I have been to this place 2 weeks ago. We have been served amazing food. Staff was very polite and friendly too. I have food allergies and they were able to assist me with that too. Very good overall experience. Will definitely go back

A small cottage converted into a gastro pub, with a massive garden.Food is 5 star as is the service, right at the edge of Bovingdon and just down the road from the market.Well worth a visit if your in the area.

The staff are welcoming, some of rhem have been there a few years, and are dressed neatly. There is a quiet conversation corner. There is a good menu of which each individual customer is give their own print out.The hygiene is excellent.

Have not called in here for 2 years owing to work commitments, still a great pub lovely welcome and a good pint of beer. My wife and daughters coffee and hot chocolate was spot on, if you are in the area highly recommend that you call in

Lovely food friendly staff

A very nice proper looking little pub. Tring beers on tap at the going local rate, cost wise. The food is meant to be gastro, but its not and I dont want the place to be so. It serves very nice food at reasonable prices.The trouble is their advertised opening times. Closing at 9.30 pm Monday to Saturday and at 5pm on Sunday is just to early.

Lovely home cooked food, great presentation, staff really friendly and helpful, great garden, decor and dog friendly. First visit with friends, definitely will go back and try Sunday roast. Highly recommend!

Had an excellent Sunday lunch. The roast chicken and beef were succulent. The service was efficient and very friendly. Had a nice table by the window. Great local beer.

O my God.. the food was great.. the burger was stacked perfectly and dessert was five star restaurant presentation and staff was welcoming.. 100% going back.. wish I knew it was there.. came across it on a road trip out with the other half.. Its half a hour from where we live but once you find a good food and pub aroma place. You will make the trip back..Keep up all the good work at The White hart..

Nice atmosphere, with very good food and a lovely fireplace

This pub had promise but fell well short of the mark. The menu was too big with a mix match of cuisines for a pub that unsettled from the get go. Having gone with a safe option of a homemade beef burger, the size was underwhelming for the price and disappointing on taste. The burger was dry, underseasoned and little burnt. The chips were soggy and despressing. As for my partners beef and ale pie, this was an improvement. Great pie but disappointing sides and gravy. Overall the relaunch has been disappointing and needs work done

As normal with this lovely pub the food & service was exceptional. We popped in on the off chance of getting a table on a Sunday and they did their very best to accommodate us which they did. I highly recommend the black pudding scotch egg.I highly recommended this establishment.

Very delightful little pub which serves excellent pub grub. A variety of local pies; some incredible bangers n mash, even fancy fish finger sandwiches. With a next decor interior, and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Top place

“ So after hearing about this place by a lot of my clients” ( I have a shop in Berkhamsted I took a trip over there for a Sunday roast !! Just me and a very lucky young lady 😀 ( I think the older generation reading this would class it as courting Anyway back to the main event it was outstanding me and the mention lucky lady Are both vegetarian!!!! At this point you normally get offered risotto but not today !! We had a roast each which was outstanding !! The staff were amazing the manager/owner is a class act !! Wasn’t for the fact we both had to be back me for the Chelsea Man City game and her for her children ( not left home alone I must add dropped off by father )we would probably still be there getting Oliver twist !!!!! I totally get this isn’t your average review but this is from the heart so if you haven’t Had the pleasure of going there yet then get yourself there you’re in for a treat !!!!!

Had an excellent Sunday lunch here. Prebooked a table which was necessary as it was very busy. Dog friendly too. We had our small dog with us and there were several other dogs in too. Staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

The pub was full of character and later on people. Sadly many of the things on the menu were off! A pub that is famous for its pies featuring five different pies only offered one, which was a vegetarian. The barmaid was lovely and we felt sorry that she had to keep repeating Im sorry its off". The food we did receive was very nice although the ice cream contained large lumps of ice.

I held my 40th birthday here and Ian and his team worked so hard to make it a memorable day. Food was fantastic and all my guests were very impressed with the venue and the food, thank you very much - is recommend the pub to anyone wanting great service, good and ambience!!

My new favourite pub!In this day and age country pubs can be a bit of a disappointment with that "youre not from round here" (best in a West Country accentattitude.The White Hart couldnt be further from this! The staff were immediately welcoming and the food was a great take on the usual suspects. Well cooked and tasty with a dash of their own originality.The detailing around the pub was really well thought out with a warm and cosy feel - I am sure it us great in the midst of a dark winter Sunday. The toilets smelt great and were really clean - a big help when you have a 4 year old who will use any excuse to leave the table!Kids were made very welcome and there was a genuine attitude from the staff who made every effort to accommodate - the menu has a blurb in it on exactly this point explaining what they are trying to deliver and deliver they certainly do!The only genuine problem I found is that I dont live near enough to make it my local!Thoroughly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic- so much attention to detail (both menu & decorand beautiful country food. We drive well out of our way to come here because it feels like a little holiday each time. The owner and all staff are extremely welcoming and kind and very much go out of their way to make it perfect every time. Really love this little pub.

This one is a real keeper! A wonderful, cozy and welcoming country pub with a friendly, caring and attentive staff, a fabulous chef, and delicious food (TRY THE PIES!!!). If you can get a table, go for Sunday lunch! You will NOT be disappointed! Really, dont miss this place, whether for a swift pint and a bucket a great chips or an evening out, this is a VERY good choice!

Under new ownership, we have now had great birthday night and a lunch. Both felt like we where looked after very well, being a small pub you really are made to feel at home there. Really friendly staff and landlord. The food was also very good, my wife cant stop raving about it. I though it was really good home cook pub food and it all looked nice and fresh. Potentially could be a little quite while people are discovering it but it wont stay quiet for long.
