Warrington Hotel, 93 Warrington Cres, Little Venice, London W9 1EH, Barbar
A 5-minute walk from Warwick Avenue tube station, this upscale, 19th-century hotel with an art nouveau vibe is 3 miles from both the British Museum and Buckingham Palace.Polished, individually decorated rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and DVD players, as well as tea and coffeemaking equipment. Some offer 4-poster beds and free-standing tubs. Room service is available.Breakfast is complimentary. There’s an airy restaurant and a warm wood-panelled pub/lounge. Architectural details include original stained-glass windows and mosaic flooring, as well as a fireplace and a staircase taken from an old ship. There’s also a shaded patio area.
The location is very close to central london attractions. Pretty place, with lots of locals and... Americans. Great service now they reopened after the lockdown renovation. Good beverages, havent tried food, yet, the kitchen is waiting to reopen. Plenty of outdoor tables and friendly staff. Overall recommend
A truly fantastic place to visit, great pub, great venue and great staff.
Really beautiful building, and great live music.
We had a family Sunday lunch. Not the best but not the worst but plenty of room for improvement.
Iv never been so disappointed in a roast dinner in all my life it’s was vile £85 puns we paid for starter roast and sides was given when we ate our food
Lot of character, cool place to stay and great location. Stairs are rough especially if you’re staying at the top. Awesome pub at the bottom too. You won’t get all the typical hotel amenities but most hotels can’t match this hotel’s charm!
Did not stay at the hotel came to pub for Sunday roast without a doubt one of the best roast I have ever had. Amazing service from the staff super friendly
Luvly old pub just off the main maida vale rd, ex Ramsey pub, also featured in an old episode of the Sweeney..good beer, good food plenty of outdoor seating, friendly staff
A lovely member of staff offered me to wait inside whilst waiting for a taxi. Thank you so much, especially as you were closing, very grateful.
The place is beautiful and they have a very nice beer garden. Near the canal for a nice walk after a nice lunch and refreshing beer.
Another great pub with good food and beers
Pretty poor experience really. I just popped into for a drink, ordered at the bar and decided to have a roast as well. The price didnt seem right, and after questioning it I was told an extra 15% had been added for service. Which the kind girl as the bar, she was delightful, offered to refund. She asked her manager, the bald guy in double denim, to help her. He looked straight through me and said, Ill do it later. There was noone else in the bar at this time. Me and the girl at the bar were left a bit awkward. So I drank my drink and waited for refund, I cancelled the roast.Im not sure why he felt it necessary to do this but hey there you go.
Only been to the pub. Didnt stay at the hotel. Amazing looking place but definitely on the expensive side. I guess its expected from any place in this area.
Lovely old pub. I havent been as a hotel guest. Food ok. Decor is amazing but new furnishings look very out of place in the bar. Toilets clean.
Just popped in to have some food and cold beverage or three with some old friends. This is a lovely pub inside and out, great service and the food was top notch. We didnt stay over night so I cannot comment on the rooms. Would definitely go back.
Lovely pub would be an incredible local if the prices werent so dear
Great pub! Excellent selection of beers.
Lovely pub, good beer and great service.
This is a review for the restaurant. We attended on a Friday evening as a party of 7. WE were apprehensive as nobody was booked into the restaurant. We ordered a variety of starters, sides and mains and ALL meals were excellent. The staff were amazingly friendly. The restaurant interior was lovely and so was the room.Yes it very pubby downstairs and very popular but upstairs transports to a different atmosphere completely. If I was local I would be going back again and again and again.
Been to the Warrington pub a couple of times now. Its very run down. Very old furniture. I take that back they have got a new sofa. It must have been donated as it looks totally wrong in there. Looks like a sofa for a nail shop. Even though there is not many people that go in there. Its a nitemare to get a drink as they always have just one person. Im surprised its still open. I dont know how they pay the wages. Someone new needs to take it over. Make it more modern and attractive. Its such a shame. Because it could be a great pub again.it will probably become flats like most pubs.
It must be really hard work to make such a terrible pub out of what Is truly a stunning venue, but they manage it. Consistently. The food was possibly the worst part of the visit. Just awful. Even RyanAir could likely do better.
When it comes to The Warrington Hotel, the only thing Im disappointed about is that I hadnt discovered it sooner. As a frequent London traveler, I only wish Id known of this wonderful place before my last trip. It is now my favorite place to stay on the West End and I will definitely be staying here again.I initially booked a room here on a last-minute trip to London and I am so very glad I did. I feel as if fate brought me to its doorstep. The building itself is chock full of a colorful past and history and situated in the most charming neighborhood. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and clean and surprisingly spacious. The pub is cozy and offers a genuine London pub atmosphere. Food and drinks were both terrific. The company was even better. I felt a part of a neighborhood I so wish I lived in.The cherry on top? The staff. I cant thank managers Nathan and Keir enough for their warm hospitality and candor. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and even offered help due to some last-minute rearrangements on my trip. They are so knowledgeable and truly care about their guests. You can tell The Warrington is a point of pride for them which is so refreshing in this time. The Warrington Hotel (& pub!is a wonderful London locale best experienced. Go for the history & the ambiance. Stay for the friends that become family.Thank you again for everything, Nathan & Keir.
Came here for a bite to eat and a couple of beers with friends, the staff were super friendly. Food was reasonably priced and close to Paddington station
This review is for the Pub. We love coming to this extraordinarily beautiful pub and were excited to see they were serving food again. Wasnt expecting much given the poor reviews but really enjoyed an amazing burger - actually cooked to a medium temp! Truffle fries were also very tasty. Would definitely recommend!
Nice pub, but the food is bland at best. I have not been to the Warrington for over 12 years, it has always and still is a nice place to drink, but the food is rubbish and of cheap quality. Seriously do not eat here!
Didnt eat, didnt stay in a room, just went for a drink. What an amazing bar room though - beautiful art deco everywhere. If this was in Paris or Brussels or Nancy or somewhere like that it would be a highlight in any guide book.
Really disappointing trip to the Warrington today. My wife has been house bound for 2 months following an accident, so we were excited to get some family time out of the house. We ordered a few starters with our drinks, including a red peeper houmous with flat bread. When the dish arrived it was clearly wrong, it appeared to be melted cheese and tomato on baguette. I told the waiter that we had the wrong dish, but he insisted it was right. I complained twice more, but to no avail. As a 4th attempt to rectify the situation I took the dish to the bar, and showed it to another staff member, who also dismissed me saying the dish was correct, and that the tomato was red pepper, and the baguette was flat bread. I asked where the houmous was, as was told that it was under the cheese. I pointed out that the menu had no mention of cheese, so it had to be wrong, but was told that I should be happy that the cheese came as a bonus. Other customers agreed with me that I had the wrong dish, but the staff were absolutely insistent that it was correct. I was told to eat the dish as the matter was closed.Despite the fact that I stayed very calm and polite, my wife had decided that I was making a scene and an argument ensued, the gist of which was that I had somehow ruined the day. Before returning to my table, I asked to see the chef. I was told the chef may not be available but they would mention the situation to him/her Shortly afterwards the water returned and (without any apologyand told us that we were actually eating a pizza not flat bread.I asked the waiter if he know what flat bread as, and he said no. As an aside, the reason I was so insistent that we got the right dish was that I have spent several months on a health kick and have been avoiding processed carbs. Given it was a special occasion I had decided to indulge a little with a treat. Getting the wrong dish, especially one that was nothing more than copped tomato with cheap cheese simply did not cut it.When the dish did arrive, the red pepper houmous was both decent and generous. Unfortunately the flat bread was nowhere to be seen (replace without explanation with ciabatta), but at least it resembled what the menu said. The 2 pictures attached are the original and replacement dishes. Had I ordered the pizza, I would have been disappointed as it was a very basic dish (and frankly not a pizzabut I would not have sent it back. Its quite a shame as the Warrington has always been a decent pub. The architecture is exceptional and on my many previous visits (0ver the past 30 yearswe have always been treated well. I don’t mind mistakes happening, that just life. I do mind when polite request to resolve mistakes are dismissed. I strongly suggest the management take the time to educate the staff on both basic customer service, and to recognise the food they sell.We ate in near silence and left. I’m not sure how, but apparently this was all my fault. I look forward to spending money with the neighbouring pubs in the future.
Pretty place, with lots of locals and... Americans. Great service now they reopened after the lockdown renovation. Good beer, havent tried food, yet, the kitchen is waiting to reopen. Plenty of outdoor tables and friendly staff
Rich, airy atmosphere; spacious and refined but homely; great to watch rugby in winter!
Beautiful pub, nicely decorated, ok prices.Slow staff, gave me a dirty glass, leaking toilet.Mulled wine for £7.50 a glass?
The staff are always polite and friendly, but if you advertise on your website, Google and more importantly - on the chalk board outside that youre open until a certain time (i.e. 11pm Monday - Thursday), probably best if you dont tell people that the pub is closed at 10:35pm and refuse service for a walk in pint? That or change your advertised times and stick to them. Whilst management reserve the right to pick the hours, its poor show when the locale come to expect a business to honour its core hours advertised.
Went to the Warrington Hotel with some friends as it was opened for the first time recently. Had heard alot about the Warrington as its a very famous pub in London. We went inside and the smell was awful, very damp and dirty furniture so we decided to sit outside. The beer we ordered tasted funny so we decided to leave. If only the inside was clean and had new furniture this place would be amazing.
Back in September 2020, Joanne at The Warrington went above and beyond to accommodate just under 30 of us for our last minute wedding reception. We had all of our plans thrown up in the air with the COVID regulations, but after one phone call we had food, wine and a safe socially distanced space to celebrate our wedding in, all with barely a weeks notice. The Warrington is a beautiful pub and we made use of the upstairs space to keep ourselves and everyone else safe and every single one of our guests absolutely loved the evening we had. The food was superb and the entire staff couldnt do enough to help us have as good a time as we could under the circumstances. Thanks so much to Jo and the team, you saved our day! Well be back to visit as soon as were allowed to :)
(A review of the pub onlyDefinitely one of our favourite pubs in London. Beautiful interiors and ample nicely done outside space, cozy atmosphere, always friendly and helpful staff, and of course amazing food. Very happy to see this place back on its feet after lockdowns and wishing it further prosperity. We will do our part by coming back again and again!
Lovely Sunday roast, would definitely go back! The place needs a proper heating system, it was way too cold in there! There was one tiny portable heater. The customer service was brilliant, Lovely attentive staff.
Perfect! I am new to the area and decided to visit Warrington Pub through recommendation by a friend. From entrance to exit the staff were so attentive, welcoming and polite. I could see they were busy but they never let it show on their face and always checked the table for drinks with a smile and warm personality! I hope to come back sooner than planned as first impressions are amazing, including cleanliness of the entirety of the pub and the toilets which is rare in a majority of pubs! I cant remember all names but I managed to talk to Jo and Emily (sorry if the spelling is wrong! Its actually the first pub Ive been to that has made me feel comfortable with a lively atmosphere yet relaxed vibe at the same time! I highly recommend to visit but I cant say anything about food of course because I just had drinks. Judging by the people around me Im guessing the food matches the quality of service!Thank you team -- Alex
Decent overall pub even for a quick visit. Staff were very nice and clear when last order was etc. Drinks came quickly and were great. Perfect Guinness too which was nice. Table was a bit sticky though to be honest and uncomfortable. Outside area was quite nice even for the darkness, definitely needs more lights
Incredible combination of classic British pub and hotel. We stayed there for four days and we had drinks every day at the pub. Food was excellent and generous and the staff is marvelous, extremely friendly. For tourists like us, it’s 500 meters from Maida Vale tube station. If you have a chance, ask for the drink of the day, they are always creating new ones. Highly recommended.
This is a review about the pub, not the hotel (as I havent stayed there). Like most places at the moment, they are trying to adapt to the reality after lockdown. And to be fair they seemed to be one of the few places out there that actually care about following procedures (track and trace / social distancing between tables / table service). Good location, with a nice garden, good food and friendly staff. What more do you want from a pub? Worth a visit!
After having drinks here on a Friday night, it was busy and I accepted the wait staffs apology for the longer wait times for service (20 mins to order a drink and another 30 for a bottle of wine to come). However, we came again today and it was not busy but still waited 20 minutes to be served to order a drink and again we were continuously walked lasted or ignored so chose to leave. This is very disappointing as it is our local but we will not be returning until they roster on more staff to cope with demand or determine a more effective approach for ordering/service (eg. apps/online). I’d recommend else where unless their service and wait times change. Very disappointing.
I did not stay here, however I visited the pub on Friday night with my partner. The pub itself has a nice antique feel (though the interior is in disrepairand I enjoyed the majority of my evening.Saying this, I unfortunately witnessed who I assumed to be the manager(!?And was later confirmed as such by one of the bar staff in a state of drunkenness giving out free drinks and shots to customers... although all in good spirit I found this highly unprofessional and worrying
Always busy good range of drinks . Yes its an old pub no disable access or toilets. The uplostery is in desperate need of repair. Yet somehow its part of the history too Honesty of staff was fantastic when it came to ordering food.Food generous portions. Well presented. Nice flavours prices are Incredibly good.
stayed overnight. the place is amazing. its a work in progress behind the scenes. our room was comfy and spacious. the stairs and corridors need decorating and theres a few damp issues but the staff are friendly and the breakfast was fab and filling and kept us going until 4pm. wouldnt be afraid to stay again. thank you.
