The Wallace Centers of Iowa in Des Moines

My wife and I attended for their Thursday night dinners. We had been on the wait list for a while and got a table when another person could not attend. The food, atmosphere, and waitress were amazing. The hostess, Carla, was absolutely spectacular and friendly. If you have not attended the Thursday night dinners at Wallace, you may want to take a peak. It’s worth it!

A number of things come to mind...innovative menu selections, relaxing indoor and outdoor environments, Carla, the servers, and the incredible Chef Katie made the overall experience exceptional.

A great experience in farm to table food, the atmosphere and dinner is one I wont forget. The staff was great. THANK YOU....

First time visitors from out of state, Farm to Table Thursday dinner. Everything was excellent!! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Even Chef Katie came by our table for a short visit. Highly recommend.

Sweet way to spend an afternoon with Teas and little treats. There are readings at several intervals, from Mrs Wallaces journal column, that are fun and interesting.

Attended the tea luncheon held once a month on Friday. It was three courses of delicious food. The hostess read articles from the Wallace Farmer and a great way to reunite with friends. A great time

We love to come here for the Farm to Table Thursday dinners, cooked by Chef Katie. Definitely recommend reservations, and if you have dietary restrictions youll have the best experience if you call ahead to discuss. This is a BYOB establishment, no corkage fee.

Love both the Farm to Table experience in Sherman Hill and the Pizza on the Prairie event on Fridays in summer. The food is always delicious and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Both are hidden gem experiences in Central Iowa that make a great date night or get together with friends!

A culinary experience that shouldnt be missed. Im hoping I can make more "Get to Know Your Farmer" dinners next year!

Went of the Thursday night dinner, beyond excellent.

The food was FANTASTIC! The atmosphere was warm and very welcoming. Small setting with great food and great hosts made for an awesome evening. Headed back for their final meal of the season in December. Book this venue!!

Beautiful home with delicious farm to table meals. Will definitely be out to visit the farm this summer!

The Wallace House has weekly farm to table dinners that are wonderfully prepared and presented. Its a limited menu that usually highlights Iowa products. SometimesChef Katie visits tables at the end of service and talks about the food.Be sure to make reservations in advance.
