The Vine in Lancing
Description
Privilege
Lovely garden, inside smelt a but like a care home was not very pleasant to be honest, but the garden is really lovely and dog friendly
MoreA great traditional pub. Amy behind the bar was very pleasant and her rapport with the customers wad excellent. I was made to feel very welcome and the patrons were accommodating as well. Although I was new to the pub there was no feeling of not being welcome, and you could also have a conversation with people without struggling to here them.
MoreNice outdoor space with good pool table.
Very lovely cosy pub.staff really friendly. Good range of ales 🍺
Lovely cosy pub with open fire and great beers. The garden provided the venue for an annual Wassail event following a torchlit procession and followed by a very funny and entertaining version of the traditional Sussex Mummers play. Great evening and I will definitely find it worth visiting this dear old village pub again.
MoreLovely traditional pub
Bar staff made my visit all worth while. Cant wait to go back 👍
Excellent pub excellent bear excellent friendly staff loved it
Friendly staff and good beer karaoke and good company what more could you want?
Tarrings best kept secret. Great service today from a very welcoming young lady. Garden is a gem. Thank you.
MoreLovely little pub, clean, Covid friendly, good service.
Super busy night for the England game, great atmosphere and the staff were absolutely amazing!
MoreGreat food, comfortable place. I like it
Good friendly pub. Good beer. And a good atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. What more could be said 😁
MoreNot too crowded and they serve lovely food at a reasonable price ..I had the roast pork and my husband had the roast beef and they were equally lovely
MoreAmazing pub incredibly friendly well done all staff
Friendly place. Surprised its not busier. A Worthing hidden secret?Came back over the August Bank Holiday weekend and found some good improvements. The kids outdoor play equipment had been replaced and upgraded & there is a separate area for under fives. I was surprised that more families were not here using the facilities. The service I received was good and efficient, the prices were not extortionate. In the bar area there is a retro video game machine which was playing Pac Man. The seating area at the back has been rearranged and now accommodates a pool table. Like I said at the start of this review that I do find it really strange that this pub is not busier.
MoreDecent pub - the garden was the best bit about it, though. Loads for little ones to do!
MoreNice pub, friendly. Great garden & play area with a separate play area for under 5s. Easy garden, can see kids from most points of the garden.
MoreNice old rambling pub in a historic location. Pretty area. Quite busy, but a little down market - quite noisy - might suit some, but I prefer a little quieter. There is a garden with a play area for children.
MoreOne of the best places in Worthing to experience the real English atmosphere and cuisine. Keep on pumping guys!👍
MorePopped in for a quick drink, nice friendly atmosphere not over priced and family friendly, will be back.
MoreGreat local pub with great service and large outdoor beer garden with swing set for kids.
MoreGood enough pub to go to with a few friends.
Great place for a beer and snacks with a good size garden area
Remember when this used to be the place to be back in the day, not anymore.Seems the place has lost its vibe as i went in on a sat night and there were around 5 people i could see.Rubbish beer selection, needs to get with the times and get some craft beers on the go.
MoreA nice village pub. Has the usual things youll find in a pub including live music sometimes and a large garden.
MoreI might just be looking through rose tinted glasses, but although the pub is still worth a visit, it seemed the George and Dragon down the road had a warmer feel, and better atmosphere. It does have the football on, and the staff were very nice.
MoreOld Rosie on tap is always a bonus, good selection of ales. Free WiFi too.
Ok poor choice of beer as only two real ales tasted fine but both malt prefer hop
MoreGreat pub really good ale and family friendly
Never seen it busy so great for a quiet drink!
Great beer, nice ambience, lovely garden
Rate this place as me and my partner and myDaughter and parents in law were looking for some, where nice to spend our bank holiday Monday. There was young man who served us with superbcustomer service Recomend this place to anyone, lovely atmosphere.😎
MoreGreat local pub with lovely cottage pie for lunch. Friendly service.
Traditional English Village Pub. Good selection of Ales . Nice garden for summer events! Often local bands play here.
MoreOk but looks a lot nicer from outside.Very locals boozer.Kids welcome if you like kids in boozers?
MoreNot too bad a place, food was basic but OK, took a while to get the order placed as there wasnt anyone behind the bar for ages. Beer was ok as well but needs a bigger range. Other reviewers have noted it was bad a while ago but getting better now, havent been before so cant comment on that, but Ill maybe go back in a few months and see if its better than now.
MoreHopefully getting back to great pub it used to be. Better choice of beers with more to come, I was told by the bar staff. I will return.
MoreLovely traditional village pub with a traditional feel sliced with modern, great choice of drinks and beautiful garden with play area! Friendly helpful staff,a credit to tarring village 😀 x
MoreFinally this place may be getting back to its former glory. Beer is great and reasonably priced. And now they brew their own. Give it a go, you wont be disappointed!
MoreGood pub, good food, friendly staff with a big garden for the kids.
Lovely village pub in the ancient heart of West Worthing, often visited by the red guy himself..
MoreLovely local pub with local people. Prices not bad either
Friendly staff, great food and drinks. Warm and comfy as recently decorated. Large garden and car park. Now with a Brewery in the barn !! Looking forward to tasting the new Ales.
MoreNice bar, friendly staff, great atmosphere, loveky beer garden
£8.50 for a small sunday roast and £9.50 for a large. I have a small and could not finish it. The food was really good and the cauliflower cheese is to die for I think the whole family has found its new favourite sunday lunch spot.
MoreCatered for kids well, garden to play in whilst waiting, good portion sizes and great choice of ales.
MoreWe had booked although no-one seemed to know of the booking, we were left at the table for 15 minutes and had to go to the bar to enquire about food and drink. The menu is extremely limited and the veggie optional nutburger-was underdone.
Morewhat a wonderful place we were there on friday with a band the KELTIC KNIGHTS and a warm no i hot wellcome from gary and the great staff so thank you all from trev and see you soon
