The Van Raalte Farm - Historical place museum in Holland, United States
Nice hike, lots to see, will definitely try thr sledding hill this winter!
Great space, perfect for agility training or to get the zoomies out!
It was my first time visiting the park. Very beautiful and lots of places to take pic.
Great area for walking with the family. Very well kept with parking @ 16th and 24th St.
Great local holand culture spot went for the civil war muster. Sprawling grounds
Went for the Civil War Munster. Enjoyable. Amazing volunteers.
Great place for a hike and pictures.
It was a nice place to go out and walk in the woods and meet nice men and enjoy their cummpony. I will need to go back soon
Good place to come walk around. Bring your airpods/headphones and listen to music while walking in nature. Watch out for mosquitoes! (Farmhouse not haunted)
The dogs had a great time! Both my corgi and my pit were fit for the big-dog area, and they had a blast running around, playing fetch, digging in some of the dirt, and making some new friends!Downside was that the fence gates dont latch fully anymore.
This is a nice area on 16th to walk the dogs. Lots of history in the area and a dog park on the south side. The day we visited there were several muddy areas with drainage issues. Finally, there is a natural preserve area on the west end.
Nice dog park to let your furry friend stretch their legs. Trail area to walk was nice. Bathroom area available as well as a little playground for kids
Such a fun interesting park, hike experience! Got to talk to the Sugarbush man as well.
such a beautiful and diverse park! Good walking trails and dog friendly. I love bringing my 3 year old and she LOVES it even more!!
The dog park is amazing! It even has a dog wash station. Someday Id like to try the lighted sledding hill.
Nice walking trails and a good sledding hill for winter. Small parking areas on the east and south side. The parking on the north side (off of adams or 16th street (same road)has more parking available. This works great unless you are going to the sledding hill.Sledding hill is a blast for the kidsThe parking lot can get full very quickly especially now that it shares with the dog park
This park contains an amazing dog park along with some short hiking trails. Its hopping on the weekends but its never so crowded that you cant enjoy it
Ive been going on nature walks here for more 20 years. Always a pleasant way to spend a few hours in any season. Unfortunately, a few areas have fallen into disrepair and probably some vandalism, but I know they do the best they can with their staff and budget. Treat yourself to a quiet peaceful walk in the woods.
Awesome trails, beautiful scenery, and a great place to bring your dog! Loved it 5 stars.
There are a lot of good things to say about this park. Its not only easy to get to, has parking access from both sides, and awesome nature trails, but there is a sledding hill with lights on in the winter. (I would rate the hill, "adult or late teens with good health insurance", level. Its not safe for small children. My favorite trails are the board walks and bridges. A perfect combination of wide trails and natural wonder for your spur of the moment afternoon escape that your less adventurous friends and family can still enjoy.
This place is great. There is a lot here to check out from the new dog park, sledding hills, and seasonal experiences at the farmhouse like the sugar bush.
Amazing park. Clean bathrooms, well kept trails, and a beautiful view. Great place to take the dog to the park, go on a nature walk, or have a picnic. Nice park!
Significant amounts of trails to wander and some beautiful old wooded areas. Recently added a stellar dog park to the south side of the park.
Dog park is still quite new. Laid out well. Needs another year of sunshine to get the grass growing to make it feel finished. Great to have water and bathrooms.
Very nice place, stinks the water fountains not running I would assume its due to Covid still. The only problem is the bench in the small dog section is directly in the sun all day. Some ppl cant walk farther in and up the slight hill. A cover would be nice. I will take my fur babies back to here often🐩🐕❤
Has some really great family friendly features. I didnt rate it 5* because they carved up a whole hill, where deer visited often, in order to install a dog park.
Beautiful place! Lots of trails!
Great outdoors and all seasons trails. Lots to see and discover.
Great hiking, xx sking and sledding. Dog approved as well.
Great walking trails especially w dogs. Garbage build up in certain areas is sad. Dog Park, sled hill off 24th Street. Avoid the edges of the park in spring or rainy periods. Trails can be very flooded.
Very beautiful and stately trees that look great from the hiking/skiing trails, especially with snow on their branches.
This place has been updated recently but I think they missed the point. Sledding should be more lit up with new light poles. Skiing should be facilitated and skijouring. Its pretty dumb to have a huge wooded park and then spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to put in a fenced in dog park that will get muddy and ugly. Park bathroom now reads, Dog Wash? My assumption ia a public dog wash? But how much money was wasted on this short sighted cheapness? Where that money could have been better spent in a gigantic park is obvious but what I think the community should be concerned about is how that money could have been laundered through this unprecedented upgrade. How is the public supposed to know how much thia costs and how their money was probably stolen?
Van Raalte has nice hiking trails. They’re even better when snow is on the ground and you can cross country ski on them. The sledding is great, too! Most people even walk back up the sides, which is a considerate safety protocol.
Krammer loved it we like the dinking fountains for dogs
There are some really great trails at the farm. In the past, I have taken a lunch hour out here to go for a walk. It is just big enough to provide a couple hours worth of fun with some changing landscape. The swamp trail is the best!
Loved it walking around the grounds. Very nice colors and nature..
Plenty of wildlife. If you are at the top of the sledding hill at the right time you might get lucky and see some deer. Some of the trails get pretty muddy during rainy season so Autumn might be the best time to check them out.
Very pretty place to go for a relaxing walk, there are multiple trails marked, a nice open field great for playing with pets or a picnic. Only thing to watch out for is after a rain it can get a bit muddy
The signs are a bit aged, so its very easy to get lost in the trails if you are as directionally challenged as I am. This is something I like. If you do not like this... I do not recommend going alone. Its a lovely park to get lost in for a few hours. Also, there are plenty of little frogs and minnows in the water which is fun. There will be a dog park here soon as well. ;)
Its a beautiful walk. You get the woods, water, fields and wetlands all in one walk.
I Love this trails, so Beautiful, and Peaceful walking along the stream, hearing Gods creation singing Praises to Him. You should go and Enjoy, the only thing I hate is does of you who are ignorant, dumping your trash everywhere, Please have respect, there are trash cans at all 3 parking lots. Throw your trash in its proper place. Thank you and God Bless! Aloooooha!
How nice.Lots of trails, well marked. Peaceful and serene. Plenty of benches on the various paths to sit and relax, 2 parking sites. One just off 16th Street, the other off 24th street.Just a real pleasant nature walk.
Nice place to chill and relax and fish❤
Grate place to go walking at usually go with my dog on the trails it can get muddy though but other then that they take care of everything and it looks well kept
Very nice trails. Loved the Halloween event.
My first visit. Great place to take a hike. The trails are well marked with posted maps along the way. A little of everything with forest, meadows, marsh and stream. Lots of wild flowers and berries.
Weve been here for a couple of community events, sledding, and the trails. Very cool place, the farm inside is beautiful!
Great trails for hiking. Quiet, clean and beautiful! Dog friendly
Great hiking trails near a river plus a big sledding hill on the winter.
Nice large park with good trail system through woods and wetlands around the Macatawa River. Views of the barns by the Van Raalte house are good in early spring especially as the light filters through the trees.
