Built in 1840, this 13-m. white stone arch with a clock commemorates the Russo-Turkish War.
The Triumphal Arch in Balti
Description
The heart of Chisinau city, capital of Moldova.
This is the most visited place in Chisinau. The architecture is amazing.I love to be in Chisinau.
MoreHeart of Chisinau! Very nice place!
Nice park-like zones around. Central of the city. Good places to grab a coffee and take a walk or chill. Very festive on Hollidays
MoreAlthough Kishinev or Chișinău is small, this it’s signature attraction. It really defines this small city and is a welcome relief from a sea of concrete. Behind it is a beautiful park worthy visiting!
MoreNice historical monument, you must check it out if you are new to Moldova
Great town to visit@
Worth the walk when touring the city. Cathedral Park, just behind the arch has many other attractions as well as places to sit and eat / drink while wandering around.
MoreA bit small but really nice
Whenever i see it, it remembers me of India Gate!
Beautiful landmark of Chisinau. Needs some maintenance.
Great addition to the Cathedral park. 0
Beautiful concert open air!
Very beautiful area. Recommend to visit it when in Chisinau
Located in the park. There are many old trees, very quiet place to feel peace. But awful roads....

Beautiful historical monument located within the heart of Chisinau and a must visit place for tourist. Many other places of interest are also located nearby the Triumphal Arch.
MoreThe most impressive landmark in Chisinau. Xmas tricolor illumination is amazing. Must be seen!
MoreNice place to enjoy the view in the summer, autumn, winter, spring
Very beautiful monument. With the flag in the middle makes everything wonderful
A much smaller arch than that found in Paris. Nevertheless it is an interesting monument to visit while in the city. Its nearby other attractions so you cant miss it. The park in back of it hosts a cathedral while across the street is Government House.
MoreAmazing arch middle of the city, symbol of kisinyov. I like it.
The Victory Gate is located on Stefan Chel Marie Street, opposite Moldovas Parliament House. The gate is located at the entrance to a well-kept and spectacular garden in the center of which is a very ancient church and cathedral. The gate was built in 1837. Various reliefs related to the history of Moldova are sculpted on the gate. The gate is well photographed in the photos. In the center of the gate flies a flag of Moldova attached with a cable to the floor. Highly recommend a visit to this special site.
MoreThe Triumphal Arch was built in 1840 by the architect I. Zauschevic. From its construction to 2011 the monument sheltered at its second level a huge bell of nearly 6400 kg (400 Puduri). It was smelted with the copper of the cannons captured by the Russian forces from the Ottoman Empire. The bell "clopote–velican" was initially made for the cathedrals belfry but happened to be too big for it. Finally it was installed in this arch, which was designed in purpose. The monument and the mechanism of its clock were fully restored in 1973.
MoreDirectly opposite to Government House and Cathedral in park. Typical imperial symbol , looks massive and beautiful
MoreThe triumph arc is a national symbol placed in the heart of the capital. The park in which its located is well-planned and is a good place to visit
MoreYep its beautiful 😍 ! But no place for Car 🚗 Parking.....
This is a fairly small arch located right in the centre of Chisinau. Its a popular site for tourists and is probably one of the more significant places to visit whilst exploring the city. Not that much to see though so a quick visit should generally be sufficient.Nice place back side of clock tower there is a church... It was built to celebrate the Russian victory over Otoman empire in early XIX century. It has an always working clock, many electric cables for the trolleybuses not so great but they are necesssary, otherwise there would not be the Troleybuses
MoreDefinitely a place you want to visit. The park is a great walk to see city center.
MoreOne of the traditional places to see in Chisinau. Its a nice place in the heart of the city.
MoreAs a tourist attraction its not the best on its own , but then there is the park and the parliament and also a beatifull church all 3 in a row and are so beatifull toghever , its a awesome place to hang out and to meet people , I do recommend it 4 stars becouse , it should be renovated more often.
MoreBeautiful arch. Large clean flag waving underneath. Located in a very picturesque part of the city. Dont miss this when you are here as its one of the most beautiful parts of the city.
MoreNice arc, however nothing to impressive, but at least it is a good photo point on the entrance into park
MoreFor me this is the standout monument in Chisinau and is made for photography.
Beautiful place in the center.
Nice arc, less crowded than its bigger sister in Paris. Nice gateway into the park with the Cathedral church behind and government building on the other side.
MoreVery Attraction place... if you are center of Chisinau , Exactly you have seen it...
MoreAlways like to walk downtown when i go and visit my family in Chisinau. We went out for National Wine Day and also Chisnaus birthday. You can visit the Cathedral and the park.
MoreSomething you must see, it’s not as big as in other countries but worthwhile to see. On this place there are also market stalls and exhibitions sometimes. In winter it looks beautiful, snow, lighting effects, etc.
MoreI assume the only one place I would rate here like worth seeing
Great monument in the center of capital, where you can make good photos.
Surprisingly small - the road runs past it, the sidewalk runs through it.
The Triumphal arch was built in 1840 by the architect I. Zauschevic and thanks to the governor of Bessarabia initiative to commemorate the victory of the Russian Empire over the Ottoman Empire during the Russo-Turkish War (1828–29). From its construction to 2011, the monument sheltered at its second level a huge bell of nearly 6,400 kg. It was made of copper coming from the cannons captured by the Russian forces from the Ottoman Empire. The bell was initially made for the cathedrals belfry but happened to be too big for it. Finally it was installed in this arch. The monument and the mechanism of its clock were fully restored in 1973.
MoreSmaller then the Arc of Triumph in Bucharest, Rome,Paris etc. , but still beautiful
