We picked this location because it had 4 separate beds and we really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful (storing luggage, breakfastand our room was fun and funky. Our room overlooked the Reuss waterway near the historic and beautiful chapel Bridge. Tons of shopping and restaurants nearby but not so loud at night because the hotel is just past the loud areas. Perfect stay!

Room is old and smells weird, shower fan broken, breakfast mediocre, didn’t provide a refund when requested, WIFI WORKS EVERYWHERE BUT THE ROOM

We had a renovated room that was nice. It’s a little dark and dingy vibe happening. Good location. Decent breakfast. Internet didn’t work inside our room

We stayed in this hotel in May,2022. We chose this place based on great reviews but were quite disappointed after visiting there. Half of the property is used by Institute for Hospitality training(unsure of proper name). Rooms provide good view of river but you cant open balcony door due to lot of insects. Room also had mosquitoes. Breakfast provided is fine. There was not much staff available at hotel to help you in any query

Hotel located direct in Center of Lucerne, you just need walk 2-3min. And have very nice river view room with balcony. Compare with others hotels preise is also cheaper.But if you looking for passive vocation, you could not find of course comfort in this hotel.

Everything in this hotel is impeccable. Extremely nice staff and perfect quit rooms with a view over a river and the alps. The hotel is in walking distance to all attractions. My wife and I spent an unforgettable long weekend in this wonderful city!

Best price, friendly people, breakfast so rich that you forgot to eat at noon, rooms with a fantastic view on Pilatus, it was a pleasure to come after a so long time isolated. Ideally situated close to the old Town, parking 15chf per day.

Beautiful views and excellent location so close to the Chapel bridge and other attractions to visit. The rooms we had were overlooking the river and it was spectacular waking up to that every day. Clean rooms light rooms with all the facilities we could’ve wanted - very helpful staff (Petra and Christoffwere great with suggestions and warmly welcomed us. Would stay here again for sure!

The staff were extremely friendly and we received a really warm welcome. How they arrange the room makes it spacious and felt comfortable. They also provide a great breakfast and an all-day costless drinks and some desserts. Would return there again next time.

Staff was very friendly, and the room had comfy beds, however the wifi did not work at all. Very very noisy place, can hear people eating breakfast downstairs. Rooms have no air conditioning could not sleep was way too hot.

This is a basic, no frills sort of hotel. But the staff are great, we had a lovely view of the river & the location was perfect.

Well located, near train station, old town and river Reuss. Tastefully decorated spacious rooms. Nice, clean bathroom. Good beds. Very good breakfast, which was included. Friendly helpful staff. Free well working wifi.

Fair 2 star hotel, nice breakfast. No free parking, discount on street parking if you can find it. No air conditioner and soooo hot. You cant leave the windows open for bugs on river side.

Cozy room, good size. Nice and clean. We had a room overlooking the river and mountains which was a very nice thing to wake up to in the morning. Very friendly, helpful staff. And good complimentary breakfast served in the morning.

Very nice reception, breakfast ok, no air condition in room just like many hotel in swiss. A little bit far from train station, by walk around 15 mins, take bus route no. 9 around 7mins.

Great place will definitely return to this hotel shall i visit lucerne are again. Staff and room was wonderful. Easy to walk all over booking direct with them gave me free tell-pass for 4 which saved me money and a free gift per day. The view was great too.

Super nice and friendly reception, nice and clean rooms, beautiful view in front of the river, close to the old town and plenty of restaurant around, very comfortable stay. Nice breakfast also. We have two kids and booked 3 bedrooms suit, both kids have own room, really nice! Strongly Recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Tourist Hotel in Luzern, Switzerland. Our room was clean, breakfast was good and the hotel desk was always friendly and helpful. Additionally, my husband inadvertently left his backpack in the lounge and Christopher was amazing. I called him immediately when we were at the train station heading to Zurich and he said hed mail it to the states. He followed up immediately and we had our package upon our return. Thank you, Christopher, for assuaging my anxiety and helping so quickly. Great hotel!!!!

I would not recommend staying there. First of all, our room did not look like the pictures posted- at all! The breakfast that was offered was not good, maybe better if youre use to a more "European" style breakfast. The rooms have no air conditioning, nor fan. We had to ask for a fan our 2nd night in, and they didnt seem to like that. The shower heads sucked. Also, the hall ways have an institutional vibe about them. On a positive note, the location was convenient.

The hotel is on the waterfront, the owners speak English and are very helpful with city navigation, free coffee all day, breakfast in a city where everything is expensive is a pleasant change. Room is nice, not amazing but cozy enough, would recommend.

I stayed at The Tourist in April 2017. Everything was as advertised. It is a fine establishment with friendly staff and clean rooms. It is a great location and the breakfasts are good.

Not very near to station, however still walkable if you dont mind. Very friendly reception staffs who will explain to you on the city Tourists attraction. They even let me check in early cause I reached luzern very early. Greatly appreciated. However my room was facing the back which is a lot of tress and plants. Cant really open up the window due to a lot of flies and insects. Other then that no complained.

Cozy place. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. We were here in November and had just started snowing. They helped us or with coats to keep us warm. Special mention for Elizabeth and Christian.

Weve stayed in a few hotels on a 3 week journey in this region, some top rated ones. This hotel is roomy in comparison, serviced daily, close to all amenities, quiet, cosey, homely feel. Friendly and helpful staff, nice cold breakfast, all day free self serve coffee, tea, cold water. Free good wifi, elevator, TV but no English speaking channels. We had a balcony overlooking the river in full view. Very relaxing.

The staff are so nice especially elizabeth! They are indeed very polite and willing to offer what you need. Also, they are so informative that you can ask for advices for your jorney as well. I highly recommend this hotel!

Very good location, but very basic. Also, one of the cheapest in Luzern. We slept here with friends on our way to Italy. Accepts cards and euros

We stayed one night at a dorm. We booked for 3 beds in private room but when we arrived, they has to separate us in 2 rooms. The shared washrooms are old, rooms are college dormitries quality and walls are paper thin that can keep you awake all night if others are noisy.

We stayed one night here and thank goodness we didnt book for longer! None of us could sleep due to paper thin walls and particularly rambunctious neighbors. The location is good and Christian was very helpful, but otherwise I would NOT recommend this hostel to anyone. There was also hair all over the bedsheets. Waste of money.

Stayed in the family suite for a few nights June 2014. Suite 400, basically a three bedroom apartment with full kitchen. Was very clean. Represented as having A/C and wifi but had neither. It was cool at night so we were OK but if it were warm it might be a problem. Free wifi in lounge only. Cheap parking at night on the street if you have a car. Laundry was a little odd, you pay the desk 10 CHF and they run the one washer and dryer for you, but it worked fine. Very friendly staff, great location, walking distance to many things. I would go back for sure.

We stayed here for four days last year and had an amazing experience.Beautiful view,well kept rooms with clean linens and attached bathrooms,very friendly staff and a lavish buffet breakfast.After a tiring day wed ask them for tea and theyd make it for us with a smiling face. They also provided us feedbak about certain good places around which we dint have in our iternary before.Thanks to them for all the hospitality and the beautiful views.
