Lovely service. We are made most welcome by landlady Sue and Husband. Pub very clean and tidy. We visit every year, when on holiday.

This pub is out of the way of tourist Paignton and is much more pleasant because of that. Landlady friendly and prices decent. Pub in Good Beer guide and rightly so.

Nice beer, great staff. Dogs allowed which I dont mind. However, I didnt like that the dogs were allowed to sit on the upholstered seats where people sit. Okay for dog owners, but not good for others. Hence my score of 4 rather than 5 stars.

Great choice of beers. Dj playing great music. Dancing in one bar and chilled ourt seating in the other bar. Whats not to like!

Lovely family pub our new local .Unfortunately Im renovating my new house so dont get out often. But will be my goto pub when I get chance. Plenty of entertainment including open mic night, karaoke on Saturdays, quiz nights,weekly meat raffle, and much more.

One of my local pubs. Always greeted with a smile and a chat. Good ales, cider, Guinness, house spirits or alternatives. Good selection of malts. Proper pub.

What an absolutely lovely pub, so friendly, comfortable and welcoming. Dog friendly as well.

Lovely pint of Sea Fury. Landlady very welcoming. Bar comes with a delightful fish tank!

Nice old traditional pub with a community feel. Tucked away in the old part of Paignton. We went to a pirate themed charity day - raising money for RNLI. Music, face painting, balloons, food truck - the pub doesnt do food-. Beltane Morris were great, very entertaining

Great pub with open mic night on Thursday and quiz on Sunday. Good choice of cask ale too and a discount for CAMRA members!

If you want to go to a proper pub, this is the place to go. Fantastic beers and excellent friendly service is always guaranteed. Plenty of regular social activities in the week and bigger social events organised throughout the year too. The best pub in the bay!

Lovely place. Had almost everything you could wish for from a pub. Live music, quiz, pool, darts, poker night, cozy imitation log fire. If it had sky sports, would be 5*

Good beer. Friendly staff. Unfortunately no sarnies or pies...only buys and crisps. But still enjoyed it.

Great local pub. The oldest pub in Paignton and still going strong. No food , but the normal crisps etc. Normally a choice of four ales, all well kept. Landlords are friendly people and they run a quiz weekly etc

I agree with all the positive reviews. This pub along with the Coach House are to my mind the best and genuine real locals in Paignton.
