Popular gastropub dishing out American comfort food & craft beer in rustic yet hip surroundings.
Fantastic! We ate ouside after the ble angels performance we had an awesome server
Food was delicious. We loved the fish tacos and the chicken tortilla soup.
Wonderful food! Started with the tuna tartare, which was fabulous. I got the spicy salmon sandwich and my boyfriend got the sliders and both were delicious with wonderful flavors!
Got to this place early enough to order a bunch of sides as appetizers for the table to split, and i got the chicken and waffles. All the side items were awesome! Tots were salted well and crispy. Biscuits were fresh and tasted so good with the butter on them. Garlic truffle fries were also really good, and i think the truffle aioli made the dish. The candied bacon just melted in your mouth but was thick enough to still have some chew. The donut balls were perfectly sized little treats; i stuck to the vanilla icing and enjoyed it very much. The chicken and waffles were pretty good. I enjoyed the waffles probably more than the chicken, but both were tasty. I wasnt a huge fan of the gravy, honestly. The drinks were just okay to me. The margarita was probably my favorite, but it still tasted a bit off. There seemed to just be something in every drink that made it not as good as it could be in my opinion. That said, i was there with a big group and everybody that got the bloody Mary seemed super happy with them, so you can take my opinion with a grain of margarita salt.Staff was lovely!
Been here a couple times. The place has really good brunch type food. They make a mean mule and the burrata is 🤌. I have yet to try the other half of their menu 🤭 but so far all good things!
Loud, lots of young people, nice spot. Good food, high prices. Smallest tacos Ive ever seen! ;))
Food an service was really good, the only problem was the people on the table next to us, they couldnt keep their dog quiet.
Nice place to have a drink and dinner. Is not cheap, but similar to the places nearby.
If it was possible to take all the most deplorable elements of SF and bake them into a self aggrandizing, narcissistic personality disorder ridden, and pretentious without actually having money Turducken… this is what you would end up with. They really should replace the sign with Greek letters above the door so you know exactly what you’re getting into.Men; If you’re talking to a female on hinge/bumble/ tinder and she tries to wrangle you here, instant red card and mandatory ejection. If she orders that sugary over priced ‘strawberry fields’ signature house cocktail… she’s about as genuine as a gold digger on 90 day fiancé. GTFO now.If Joe Rogan is what a dumb person’s idea of a smart person sounds like … this pub/bar is what a fresh outta college/newly minted LinkedIn account executive considers elegant and refined.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that isn’t soulless. The horseshoe, Donahue’s marina lounge, Mauna Loa are all options that are 10x more permissible than this trash.
Great service, food, and cocktails, would def come here again. It is quite busy on weekends, so I would try to reserve a table or come early
Busy pub, but has an outdoor patio and a park let for additional seating. The Old Fashions and Moscow Mule were large, but about $15 each.
Quite busy on a Saturday evening but you wouldnt know it from the attitude of the staff. They were all very pleasant, helpful, and made some great recommendations! We particularly loved the queso fundido and "pretzel" bites. Couldve eaten a basket of those.
Everything we order was soooo delicious! We got the spinach dip, Parmesan fries, chicken sliders, burger sliders, Mac and everything was sooo yummy! 🤤🤤🤤
Great pub and restaurant! We sat at the bar and had fantastic service from the bartender. We snacked on the tater tots and biscuits, which were delicious.
Great place! The ambiance is nice, service is great, and the drinks and nicely made. We only ordered the guacamole and it was good. Can’t speak for the food in general.
The cocktails are delicious and the bar has a good atmosphere, but the over-eager wait staff cleared our drinks without us even finishing them.
We ordered a bunch of appetizers and a few good beers everything was wonderful this is a great spot. Nice warm outdoor patio behind the building.
The bartenders know what they’re doing, and there is always a lively atmosphere. Beer and cocktails are a little cheaper than your average San Francisco bar. What more could you ask for in a place to get a drink!
Worst service I think I’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you get the waiter that has a a big head and a buzz cut, get up and walk out — don’t waste your time. Was there for dinner last night, took him 20+ minutes to come over and finally greet us. Then asked if we wanted drinks. He looked at the guys of our group first, which I then said to the women of our group to go ahead and order first. Not at all in a rude way, but the fact that I apparently overrode him didn’t sit well. He stared at me for a moment, gave a fake laugh, and shook his head. Then went on to take the drink orders. I asked if he was having a rough day since he was clearly annoyed that he had to wait on us, and he replied “no, are you?”. Again, same fake laugh and head shake while staring at me. Our reservation was at 7:30. He took our drinks and apps order around 7:50ish. At 8:48 he came back and said if you want food you need to order in the next 12 minutes and you all need to order together. He was nowhere to be found during that hour. Another guy in the group complained to the manager, but nothing changed. Will never go back to this restaurant.
The food was great and the drink i had was really good as well! The atmosphere was super cute and i had a great time!
We ordered delivery and enjoyed delicious Buffalo mozzarella sticks, fries with gravy, a Cobb salad and wings! Delivery was fast through Grubhub even though we’re 2 towns over.
Kyle is the best bartender ever. Gives very good life advice. Super nice and always looking out for us! I always try to bring my friends here.
I liked this restaurants location in the Marina district. Cool vibe with truly amazing back patio which was protected on all sides from the wind. It made this the perfect place to meet dear friends to remember my son, Shane Colombo. This was definitely a place he would have loved.❤
Went for brunch and the menu was composed of the normal brunch fare. The location is great and the bar is a fun hang, but for the portions are hilariously small and the quality is meh. The eggs Benedict barely had a biscuit, was drowned in hollandaise and looked like they used deli ham, and the chicken and waffle only had three chicken nugget sized pieces of fried chicken. Dont go hungry.
Always great. Food is delicious. Strawberry Fields drinks is refreshing. The parmesian garlic fries are excellent. Really nice back patio.
The Tipsy Pig is my favourite bar in the city, I spent a year not drinking thanks to covid and after my vaccine wait time was up, I immediately went to this fine establishment to have a lot of Strawberry Fields and some damn fine pub food.Get the pretzels and cheese dip!
The staff is extremely friendly! And even though they only have side dishes and beverages right now during this time I have to say, the sauce for the fries is probably the best sauce I have ever tasted in my life. And the beverage menu has many options including beers you dont usually find at other bars. You dont want to miss this place!!
Outside eating area (Covidhas 3 tables with heating lamps and four/five tables without. Nice area. The appetizer of tuna tartar was delicious.
Always a good spot to grab some food and drinks, they have a ton of outside space in front as well as the back patio. Service is always very good and the food is pretty darn tasty. I had the burger and it was juicy and delicious, so was the chicken sandwich my friend ordered
Excellent food, a nice cocktail/beer/wine list, and very friendly service. The back patio was lined in lush walled ivy and perfectly set up for social distancing in a quaint and relaxed open-air setting. The inside bar looked very nice, rustic and well stocked, but it was closed when we visited due to Covid-19 restrictions in SF.It was really nice to see the ad hoc sidewalk seating, adjacent to the very lively and active Chestnut Street, but it was a little to crowded for my taste during the ongoing pandemic. Many other people did not seem to mind the limited social distancing of the sidewalk and were happily wearing masks in between happily eating and drinking.
I really liked this place. I had brunch here and the food & drinks were delicious. The back patio is lovely. However I would give 1 star less because they ran out of waffles, they couldnt make ranchero without the meat and so I had to get my 3rd pick from the menu. Also the side order of doughnuts was not good.
We stopped here to eat before a concert at the Palace of fine arts Theatre. We were able to sample some of the happy hour offerings and some of the regular menu items. I tried the sliders and my friend had the tacos. We started off with the pretzel bites with a cheese beer sauce. Beer list is excellent and so is the service. Very nice interior as well.
What an excellent experience!Casual, local, great ambiance - I loved everything about this place. My friends actually took me here for a birthday dinner and I couldn’t be more pleased. It was one of those rare occasions where you’re stuck trying to figure out what to order because there are so many things I wanted to try.We had our drink orders taken and food order taken and everything came out SUPER quickly which was surprising because they were fairly busy. Food was absolutely incredible - couldn’t be happier with it. I will say that the portion size for the plate I got was a bit smaller than I would have liked but that may vary from case to case.Price was what you’d expect for what you get so no real surprises there. Also a great selection of beer! All around an excellent experience here and will definitely be needing to make my way back here for lunch or dinner.
During the Super Bowl they didn’t serve food between 3 and 4pm. At 5pm, in the middle of the game, they asked us to leave our table if we weren’t staying for dinner. Really?!?!Unacceptable when we kept ordering drinks and food all afternoon long. Good guest but worst service!More positively, the manager Mikel deserves great credit for smoothing our situation over. He’s a wonderful host and should be recognized for his good job!
I love this local spot! So spacious and warm, even outside during the cold SF nights! A good, heart and versatile menu with options for different dietary requirements. This is also a great spot for larger groups - the staff were very well accommodating when we arrived (without a bookingfor 10 people! Drinks are delicious and well made. The vibe is great too!
Must go! Great food, fun staff.
I came here for brunch this weekend with a friend and had a great time. We were seated on the back patio and it was a beautiful sunny day. I had the salad and my friend had the soup. Also, the sweet potato fries are a must! Would definitely go back!
Strawberry Fields Forever! Best drink on the cocktail list. The burger and the fried chicken sandwich is legit.
I had fish tacos which were delicious! Cocktails are OK but I loved the place. You need to make reservation ahead of time or the wait is long
This place has an overall chill atmosphere, and delicious food. the mini burgers (slidersare just a thing of pure joy and beauty. The drinks are good. Staff is friendly, bartenders know there craft and do it efficiently. My only beef with this place is the disappointing pretzel fondue appetizers. The "pretzels" need some serious Jesus. I dont even feel right calling them pretzels. I would only feel right punishing someone by making them eat them... The fondue was good, but not good enough to hide the lack of pretzel those dence flavorless week old bagels holes tasted like... Sorry not sorry. That was the only reason you are not 5 stars... also I was like 5 drinks in when I had them, and they still were bad... Pretzels should just be making me thirsty, not filling me with regret... anyway good talk...
Fun spot, good food and excellent selection of beers, a bit pricey for sliders. 2 orders was $32 but worth the price.
The Tipsy Pig is a fun place to go with friends. Sitting in the back patio with the string lights is always a fun ambience for a group. I have gone for both brunch & dinner. I thought the brunch food was better than the dinner foods. We ordered the BREAKFAST TACOS, the Breakfast Sandwich, Eggs Benedict, and the OLD FASHIONED DOUGHNUTS.For dinner my friends and I got the Spicy Tuna, Fish Tacos, and the Tipsy Burger. The french friends were delicious, the meal itself was good not amazing. The Strawberry Fields is a delicious drink to add to every meal!
I love the spicy bloody Mary, the Dutch pancakes were amazing too! Friendly staff and patio is great on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend this place.
One of the best gastropubs that Ive ever been to. Ive been meaning to get here for awhile and no idea why to took me so long. Awesome vibe, especially on a Warriors game day. Packed house, but got seated pretty quickly and never felt rushed out.The food was incredible - started with the Pretzel Bites w/ Beer Cheese and a Blind Pig IPA. Tipsy Burger with bacon was cooked Medium Rare to perfection. Cant wait to come back and enjoy the back patio next time.
Went here for brunch. The food was ok, except for the enchiladas which were delicious! The drinks are original and very strong. They did everything to accommodate my stroller so you can go with your kids, on sunday it’s pretty family friendly.
Great place for friends, appetizers and a few drinks. Casual place with a professional bar staff. I really appreciate a group of pros behind the bar - smooth service with a smile.
Nice place for drinks, disappointing for food. The Caesar salad was the size of a side dish but priced $13.
One of the best restaurants Ive ever been to in SF. My favorite dish is the Seared Scallops, Wild Mushrooms, Polenta with Truffle Oil.
Nice ambiance, tasty eats and drinks, fun people watching.Their most popular cocktail is the strawberry fields.I ordered the pretzel bites and Mac quick I found to be perfection!
Always love coming here, the food is really well done and in perfect portions. They have literally the best fried chicken n mashed potatoes ive had anywhere. They taut their mac n cheese as the best in the world or i read it somewhere, n it is good dont get me wrong but not grandmas. The drinks here are what most folks come here for and they always have a raving crowd. Oh one tip, if you go for food order the apple pie dessert first as it takes over 30 mins to bake. Cant go wrong here and reservations are highly reccomended.
