The Tides in Vero Beach South

Worth the spend! Excellent food and staff (Joanie was great). Our best meal while visiting Vero for the week. Joanie recommended to get the pork chop and she was right! Delish! They need to jar that sauce!!! Loved it.

The reservation staff is so immature and plain stupid, three years we tried to have dinner there, and they always have no availability?

White linen table setting…so nice!Devin was our server and he told us about multiple specials which all sounded lovely. I decided to order the half a duck and the meal was outstanding with a beautiful presentation. It came with whipped potatoes, asparagus and carrots and a gravy bowl. We were served up a basket of bread choices with warm butter. We shared a bottle of nice wine and had the pumpkin cheesecake.I’m so glad we managed to get reservations yesterday. Thank you Devin and crew at The Tides for a lovely dinner.

I have really mixed reviews about this place, on one hand the food is amazing. Like nothing else in Vero. You can always count on good food and drinks here. If your looking for ambiance though, I wouldn’t come here. It’s like the most humid restaurant I’ve ever walked into, it’s literally inside what seems to have been a residential house at one point. The whole place is carpeted and it kind just feels icky.

Had conch and calamari for apps, and veal for main. Wasn’t terrible but it was far below average for the price point. Basically paid a premium for a pretentious waiter. Extra star because the owner tries to give the image of “shopping local” and cares about her business. The menu is ever changing. I ordered something from the paper menu so I would get a great classic. I was wrong.

Excellent as always. The service is outstanding and the food is the best on the island. Get whatever their soup of the day is and any fish dish will not disappoint. Treat yourself to the best dinner experience in Vero.

My sister and I were amazed at the service. Starting from the hostess ( who accommodated us 30 minutes prior to our reservationto the waiter, to the busboy.We were never left unattended, even as the restaurant got busier and busier.We got there at 6:30 pm.The food was amazing. The calamari, halibut, the pompano from the specials was absolutely delicious!!We also had the white chocolate cream brulee and it was fantastic.Also, the ambience was very comfortable and cozy!

My friend and I went to Tides on a Saturday night at 6. We asked for Kenny as our server because he waited on us previously and the service he provided was excellent!!! Unfortunately, Kenny was not available, so we got Scott. Sorry, Scott but you missed the mark. His service was very slow and we had to ask at every turn that our empty dishes be removed from our small table. Now for the food... Had the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were yummy. My friend had the Penne Pasta Quattro Formaggi, which was good, but not special in any way. We also each had a bowl of the lobster bisque which I thought was awful, but per Scott was very popular. I cant imagine why... Also, they took the potato crusted grouper topped with lumb crab meat off the menu which is what I was going to order. So yeah, I was disappointed.REVISION - READ BELOW:After posting this review, the owner, Claudia, of The Tides reached out to my friend and apologized profusely for our negative dining experience. She explained that our server, Scott, was new and that the person who regularly makes the lobster bisque was out on the day of our meal. To make things right because she obviously cares, she provided a gift certificate for a complimentary meal. Thanks Claudia, much appreciated! We look forward to giving your restaurant another try.

The food, service and atmosphere was pleasant. Great custom vegan option as well! This is an eggplant steak on veggies and grilled potatoes.

This meal was absolutely amazing at every course. The swordfish was the best Ive ever had. 5 stars, would highly recommend. Make sure you get the famous dessert as well.

The food was good but you can tell they tolerate people on vacation but they cater to the locals very clicky

Weve been patrons of this restaurant on quite a few occasions. In the past it has ranged from excellent to somewhat less than excellent. Our latest visit here was a little disappointing while the food was very good it wasnt up to the excellent status of the past. What was quite disappointing was the bar service. I asked for a specific drink, one that would have been easy to Google, the server came back and asked me what was in it. I educated the server (IMO not their job to ask a patron how to make a drink but I was served with a drink that was watered down at best. It was returned and replaced with another drink only marginally better. As was alluded to previously. a quick Google search would would have shown how to make this simple drink.The server, while pleasant was a little overly familiar. All in all Ive given Tides 4 and 5 stars in the past, Im very sad to only give them three stars this time. Additionally the place is looking a little bit worn. The mens room absolutely cheap looking with plastic everything. If one looks at all at the furniture there are chips out of the chairs. The carpet a bit frayed, While the food was still very good, (I had asked for a medium and received medium rare. I did not send it back as I didnt want to wait for a re-do. This is not an inexpensive restaurant. For the cost a meal here, the decor, the service and the food should be and has been much better. In essence both my wife and myself believe The Tides has lost some luster.

Delicious food I love to fish but hate Seafood but my husband said the Seafood was the best and Conch Fritters are wonderful. I ordered Filet Mignon and it was excellent. Makes me sad last time I went as a family with my husbands side. Miss them so much.

The food was amazing and so was the service! We had the duck special and the ahi special. Both were prepared perfectly. So good!

Tides is a fine dining experience near the beach in Vero Beach. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful for a relaxing experience. The staff is eager to serve and take care of your every need. David was very thorough with menu choices and offered suggestions. The food is outstanding with a variety of menu options.

Certainly a top restaurant in Vero Beach. Good menu selection and usually many specials. We have had many meals at The Tide along with many friends, seldom is there any issue. If you are fortunate to get Kenny as your waiter, you will also enjoy some entertainment.

This is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Vero Beach. We have been to this restaurant many times, and never had a bad meal.The service is second to none.From the fresh fish to the steaks, always the best ingredients and spices.That also accommodate Gluten free with issues!I highly recommend this restaurant.

My first fine dining experience did not disappoint!! We were in town for a short while and The Tides had no availability until after we left. We figured we’d show up early to get a seat at the bar but little did we know that people arrive at the bar by 4 pm WHICH IS AN HOUR BEFORE OPENING! That’s a little… rude in my opinion but whatever. The hostess was still able to get us a table; I was so happy 😭 I can say with confidence there is NOTHING that you could order that wouldn’t be amazing. Our waiter was so young but so polite and friendly and knowledgeable! The location was very quaint and had a relaxed atmosphere. They even have an option to make a future reservation and have a multiple course meal tailored to your likes with wine paired specifically to your food 🤤 this place is a foodie’s dream ❤️

Wow, the finest dining Ive had on the Treasure coast. Impressive presentation everywhere. All the flowers in the restroom were real ! First class fare, hard to make a choice for dinner so many incredible choices !!

Wonderful place to have a lovely meal. I had the porchop marinated in tea over pimento cheese grits with green beans. So good. And steak tartar. Great wine selection. Must make reservations from late October thru April in advance.

Its very rare to find a restaurant like the Tides. So many places say fine dining or have an intriguing menu but they leave you wanting and underwhelmed. Not the Tides. Its a culinary adventure full of color, textures, and memorable flavors you wont soon forget. The Tides takes the best ingredients around and they assemble them into edible art on a plate. Few chefs will ever achieve a fusion of expertise and passion on this level. The service was 5 stars. The meal was 5 stars. The Tides is a true 5 star restruant. The crown jewl of Vero Beach dining. We are truly blessed the Tides chose to call Vero Beach its home. Thank you Tides. 5 stars.

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! Absolutely amazing lobster bisque and perfectly prepared salmon. A must try place when in Vero Beach if you are lucky enough to get a reservation for dinner. I booked two weeks in advance and had to choose between 5 or 8:30 pm.

great dining experience. celebrating a birthday with mussels app, swordfish special and potato encrusted grouper..all excellent with beautiful presentation. Very nice wine selection and a tasty Manhattan..service was excellent. first visit, will def go again!

Was recommended to try this place and we were not disappointed. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere; you can feel comfortable dressing up or somewhat casual. Everything we tried was delicious from the crab cakes to the grouper and swordfish.

Absolutely Amazing Food. Best Caesar salad and Veal Piccatta hands down. Staff is great. Cornbread is absolutely incredible and I dont even like corn bread usually. 14 oz Pork is fall off the born amazing. Just about anything on the menu is out of this world good. This hands down the best restaurant in Vero beach. The conch fritters are one of the best we have ever had. Every piece of fish I have tried here has been Cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this to any person out there looking for a good rocksolid restaurant.

Excellent service. Fresh ingredients. Salads are delicious and large.Appetizers were all amazing. Tried the oysters and calamari. Group of 6 and everyone was happy with their entree. Variety of seafood and beef. Beef was perfectly cooked. Ive been trying to go there for years. I be back soon.

It is as simple as this. The Tides is simply THE BEST Chef, Staff and Food in all of Indian River County and probably beyond. Our favorite server is Kenny with his signature introduction "My name is Kenny and I Love my job. Todays specials are..." this place truly embodies the luxury experience... if you are not sure what to order, simply pick up any of the specials. This Chef Ms Leanne Keller I believe is a bit on the shy side as she rarely comes out of her cooking layer but, her Genius is Evident in every morsel... and hey, with the incredible attention to detail from Ms Claudia and staff, Chef can afford to do what she does best... Our hearts and taste buds have been won over and over and over again... Every special occasion we go here and every time we go, it becomes a special occasion. Never disappointed. Worth the reservation while in the area.. Every place else is simply second string. Bon Apatite

What an amazing experience this restaurant provides! The service is incredible (thank you to Rachael our waitress), atmosphere is romantic yet comfortable, and the food is beyond phenomenal! Our meal was memorable and The Tides is officially going on our list as one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! Every course was full of flavor and portioned perfectly. We spoke to Claudia (owner? Manager?on our way out and told her how phenomenal our meal and experience was and she sent us home with dessert! Love this restaurant and we will be back next time we are in Vero Beach!

My wife and I were in town for the weekend and found The Tides online and decided to give it a try because of all the good reviews and let me tell you they did not disappoint one bit. We loved the outdoor seating area they had set up. It was comfortable and romantic.As for the food and the service. Really great! Jake was our server and he didn’t miss a beat. We had a few courses and at one point I believe either the owner or manager stoped by our table to say hello and see how we were doing. Overall the entire experience was so great and we had a wonderful evening.Ty

Very nice Fine Dining restaurant. We had the soup, pear salad, duck and the oatmeal cake. Server was great, constantly keeping our water glasses full and no rush.

What an amazing restaurant my wife and I both had two different types of steak and they were delicious cooked perfection. A little on the pricey side but portions were good. We did not get an appetizer because we were worried about being full and definitely didnt need one but we did have a really good dessert the oatmeal cake was delicious

The Tides is one of my favorite restaurants in Vero. The food is always delicious, fresh, and so satisfying. The service is impeccable, the restaurant is bright and clean, and the food is top-notch. My boyfriend and I had our first date on Valentines at The Tides and last week we celebrate our engagement there! I cannot recommend The Tides enough. In my opinion it is definitely the best restaurant on the beach. Chef and Claudia are so sweet, and Kenny, our server, is great. 10/10

First restaurant experience since the Covid19 shutdown, and oh boy it was amazing! The Tides team worked so hard to make sure their guests were comfortable with all their efforts in practicing safety precautions. The fried calamari appetizer was the best I’ve had in 10 years, the grouper special was perfect, with beautiful carrots & mashed that were superb and outstanding wine pours too!

Had an early dinner here and enjoyed all aspects of the experience. Nice ambiance, great service, delicious food, and wonderful company all helped round out this fine dining establishment. Loved the conch fritters! Also really enjoyed my bleu cheese wedge salad. Might not order my entree again but whose to say that’s not a personal preference. Overall, it’s a restaurant worth trying!

The Tides is always our favorite! I recommend a high top by the bar in the open air. We had the Veal and the Flounder, both tasted better then they look if you can believe that!

Wow, it was an absolutely breathtaking evening. Mr. Robert cared for our service in an exemplary fashion. The attention to detail at this fine dining cuisine boutique is really unmatched. The menu offerings are varied and well thought out. The daily additions to the menu (at least for yesterdayhad a depth and breadth that most restaurants cant touch even if they were to only provide one of the options...but some how they manage to pull it off. The wine list is extraordinary and super affordable. They allow folks to try something a little different in their wine selection without being penalized for stepping out of their comfort zone. Pictured is the First Wave of delightful cuisine I enjoyed. Scallops with crispy polenta with tomato and crisped pancetta. This is one place that I truly truly can not wait to visit once again. Do make reservations as they are regularly near capacity, but with the service and the divine epicurean cuisine why shouldnt they be swimming in friends ready to dive in and enjoy! Best restaurant in Vero Beach. Weve ate here before but came back for our anniversary. Crab cakes, pear salad, creole style swordfish, and key lime dessert were all perfect. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
