The Three Oaks in Mallawi

I will not be surprised if in the very near future the Three Oaks will be a Michelin star rated pub.Their offer is well above standard; with a menu and wine list being a sweet symphony.

Nice atmosphere, service was good but the food was bland, the portion was small and the sauce was very thin almost like water.

Several visits since moving to the area. Its a pleasure to bring any of our visitors to The Three Oaks.Certainly a point of pride for any local. Staff are always lovely any day of the week, busy or quiet. Being fair, the staff make the experience.October menu is excellent, highly recommended.

Had a brilliant dinner at The Three Oaks. Mains were delicious and the presentation looked smart. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible, an amazing pecan flavour ice cream. The cinnamon apple vanilla martini was also delicious. Friendly and professional staff.

Wonderful family dinner. Delicious ! The waitress was really knowledgeable about the food and wine and beyond that just very engaging and fun. We shall definitely be back ! Colette

Nice setting, really friendly staff but felt a little rushed. The Ribeye dish had an underlying burnt taste (may have been the Jus), which did spoil the experience slightly. Didnt want to raise it because it felt like they wouldnt have time to fix it! Other dishes were great -Starters:Bread 8/10Burrata 8/10Lamb Croquette 6/10Main:Ribeye - 5/10Aubergine - 8/10Verdict: Might be back to give it a second whirl!

A long wait for order to be taken, food okay but so expensive for what was given.

Usually only go here for dinner but decided to try it for lunch. Absolutely fantastic meal - probably best meal we have eaten at the three oaks. Whilst every other restaurant seems to have had a service melt down the three oaks hasn’t and service is amazing as it has always been. Can’t recommend more highly. Food is excellent and menu changes regularly so there is always something new.

I cannot tell you how amazing our evening was here!!! The food was plate lickingly delicious, Sophie who looked after us was simply superb, she is a master of her craft gliding around the diners with a smile and a hell of a lot of passion and knowledge about what you were about to eat. She clearly loves what she does and it made the night for us. I recommend the cocktails which are scrummy 😋 especially the Aperol and Espresso Martinis 🍸 this is somewhere you have to visit for a luxe but chilled out meal with friends. Gorgeous outside area. Update (July 2022): still excellent. They now have tables for six in pods outside which give shelter from rain and wind - blankets available.We have never had a meal here that was less than excellent. The food is creative; the menu is short but changes frequently. Its one of the few places where I can order something from the menu, even if it looks uninspiring, and know that theyll exceed my expectations. The wine list is similarly short, but high quality and well thought out, the staff knowledgeable and helpful, and the service excellent. The only negatives? Its not cheap (but good valueand it can be difficult to get a table. Weve lived in the area for around five years, and its still one of our favourite places to go back to.

Perfect Sunday lunch - pig belly cooked to perfection, accompanied with a tasty lamb shoulder croquette for starters. Staff were friendly and cocktails were on point. I’ll definitely be back.

To visit a pub is one thing, but to visit a pub and experience food and service so exquisite is something else entirely. Everything on the menu was crafted to scientific precision with the sole purpose of bringing pleasure. The service from Grant and the team was so sincere that I felt as though I was visiting family. I will surely return to this fine establishment and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Simply superb!

Why oh why are so many pubs refusing to take cash now, my brother only went into the pub to buy two pints of beer and paying cash for this should always be an option, I can understand going out for an expensive meal you would pay by card but come on Three Oaks not everyone just going out for a beer wants to pay by card. Will not be coming back ☹️👎

Quality food & super attentive staff. Had a wonderful evening. If you are used to dine at Michelin star restaurant, you will find it such a good value with the quality of food and service provided. To some extend, created a less formal, cozy environment, feel somehow low key. The focus is really on the quality of food and excellent service. I found the quality of food and services are better than some of the Michelin stared restaurants I have been. Highly recommend. Bookings in advance.

Great food, good service. Enjoyable experience

Most dishes are very high quality and tasty but portions are small size in my opinion. Kid meals quality are just average. The kids pasta dish wasnt taste of both adult and kid. Hence we had to order a different dish.i think its ok to have a fine dining portion but I would expect a main dish would still be in a decent size, rather than in a starter size.

We’ll worth the 30 min drive ! From the moment we arrived Rebecca looked after us. She was knowledgeable about the food and drinks - she was friendly efficient lovely ! The food was outstanding- beautifully presented. Deliciously tasty. All three courses faultless. Can’t recommend enough Can’t wait to return

Lovely food, great service with relaxed friendly atmosphere. Will be going back and can definitely recommend if you like good food.

Excited this will become our local next month. Food was spot on, staff exceptional and a proper selection of drinks for the better half so she was happy. Just need to convince them dogs in the bar area is a good idea.

First visit in a few years and first in the COVID era. All staff wearing visors and clearly taking the COVID threat seriously. Our server Anna was exceptional. We had soup to start and followed with cod in sauce and steak with home frites. Food was good and filling. Overall a pleasant experience on a cold Tuesday.

Went Saturday 30th October 2021, 6 of us, had an amazing starter, main, and dessert, definitely recommend. Staff was fantastic and very helpful, will definitely go back again. Thanks for a lovely evening

We were having a birthday lunch for 4 in Friday 22/10. The food was delicious. The service we received was absolutely outstanding from a lovely young lady who was very attentive to our every need without crowding us in any way. Well done. Looking forward to my next visit 👍👏👏

Wonderful Sunday lunch. We loved the pods. We initially werent sure whether they would be suitable as we were 4 adults and 2 buggies. It worked out perfectly.Service was fantastic.

Amazing staff, what a lovely team. And the outdoor area is beautiful with the little pods and manicured lawn. Food portions HUGE, but expertly prepared. A great venue, supporting local breweries too

A unexpected lunchtime visit was the nicest surprise. The staff were welcoming even though we only phoned 10 minutes before. The fish and chips were amazing really tasty fish and a batter that was light crispy. Perfect.

Had a wonderful evening for our anniversary.Obviously theyve been busy during lockdown taking their already excellent food and service to the next level.Incredibly well organised, friendly staff and a superb selection on the menu.Wide and well chosen wine list and even made me a non-alcholoic cocktail too!Dined in the pods as my SO isnt jabbed yet, but was warm under the heater and they even have blankets available.

A great meal in a fantastic setting. The current Covid 19 regulations make it tricky for fantastic service for many hospitality businesses, this is not my experience at the Three Oaks, Becca our waitress was exceptional, looking after our table superbly, with just the right amount of wit and charm she effortlessly attended to us throughout our 3 course meal and was always there at the right time. The drink and food was top notch (my Beef was melt in the mouth good). Thank you for a 5 star experience, I look forward to our next visit.

Great food and great people! Their meat is FREE RANGE, which means I can eat just about everything on the menu, as we try never to eat meat or eggs that are not free range. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was that the part if the dining area where we ate was in need if some refurb and let down what would otherwise have been a perfect evening. Lovely touch at the end of our celebration meal when we were presented with a small plate of delicious pud with happy birthday written in chocolate!We will definitely be returning for another great meal soon and hope we get a seat in the better part of the restaurant next time.

Amazing food, amazing service and a wonderful homely atmosphere. We will be returning in the New Year. One of our favourite restaurants, if not our favourite. You will want to return too when you experience this incredible restaurant.

Deserving of the bib gourmand award which recognises excellent quality:value ratio. I arrived on a Sunday without a booking, but managed to get a table for two as long as we were finished within 90 minutes. Friendly service throughout. Great wine list at good prices. Sunday roast (pig bellywas full of varied but complimentary flavours including an excellent onion and bacon jam. I look forward to returning.

Very impressed by welcome as I walked in the door. Was seated immediately. Nice menu. I chose the roast lamb, plenty of meat, the rest was as usual, a small boat of gravy would have been nice. The waitress who served me was very attentive & suggested a very nice wine to accompany my meal. One annoyance, the table next to mine was attended by a waitress that kept saying no problems repeatedly, after each visit to their table; I overheard that they also found it annoying.

Lovely pub with great food. Defo worth another visit! Have uploaded the confit duck bun and the cripsy baby squid which is one of the best squid dishes ive eaten. Would have given it 5 stars if the burger was better.

Great food, presented really well. Great service. For a special occasion, or if you want to impress guests / friends, this is a great gastro pub. The only thing to note its quality over quantity, so the portions are very small, so after main/dessert, I was still hungry (probably should have a starter).
