Whitewashed walls and wood panelling adorn this airy pub for seasonal British fare and craft beer.
Very nice staff members. Nice interiors and great food.
Had a vegan roast and burger here today - just listed on the menu as vegan roast and vegan burger and even staff werent actually sure what the meals consisted of. Was told the burger was seitan but it was actually a vegetable patty and unfortunately my friend didnt like it. Nice pub and lovely woman behind the bar but I wouldnt eat here again as a veggie, didnt seem like much thought had gone into the non-meat options.
The worst meal and service I have ever had. The vegan roast was unacceptable - served cold, dry, overcooked and tasteless. Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional.
All I can say is a very impolite owner with a deeply disrespectful attitude, awful foods with very bad quality and so dirty environment especially washrooms, tables, dishes,…Not recommended at all
I Know someone that worked there, and just gonna tell you a few things. In case you want your food without being properly clean and if you want to eat in a place that as no hygiene youre in the right place.People on the kitchen touch the food basically everything with their hands without even washing them before, and after touching other body parts, rubish, floor, etc.Your desserts and peas and stuff like that its in the fridge open to get bacterias. The oil its not changed everyday what can causes various diseases. If you check the fridges you will see a horrific danger for the health of the population. They should be investigated in that kitchen and they would probably be closedIn case youre invited to work there,be careful. They all seem very nice with my friend at the beginning, but was all a lie, they told her they would pay her 9.50,then after a week when she received her payment they were paying 6.83 because of the minimum wage.If you look closely you can see that only young people work in that pub, thats because they dont want to pay the 9.50,they just want to pay the bare minimum, they told my friend that they didnt have anyone to work in the kitchen but then they would send her 1/2hours early home because there wasnt work even tho they knew she needed the money even if it was not enough it was better than nothing. In the moment she asked for more money because she needed and she thought they would me as lovely as they seem, they just fired her and the kitchen chef and the boss didnt even had the decent behaviour of talking with her face to face, they send a colleague from the bar to give her the payment of her work days...These people are fake and seem very kind and friendly but behind your back they always gonna throw you away when they find someone younger who they can pay less even tho you were a good team member.
We have loved every night here. The bar tenders are 10/10 especially Leon. We will absolutely come here again and again. Thank you three crown and MarcLove you all - Gabi
My favorite Sunday Roast yet! Reasonably priced too.
Beers on tap are a sure valueMenu is out of this « fingerlickious »Staff : well, what can I say ? Kind, and young and helpful and… just think of a single dad with two savages children : after a day of running London in every direction, you get the « your » time dad in a a friendly pub!Need I say more?
Good place for a drink. Poor food menu and most of the dishes are extremely salty. Quick and friendly service though!
Yeah I like this pub it was calm, quite and cozy, the food is seriously nice. Its Thai cuisine and Ill happily come back here again to try out the rest of.
Looking around all the new towers around Old Street all so modern and like Inception (film), then spotted The Three Crowns.Old pub exterior hides a fantastic relaxed retro modern mix interior and cool music and fun food. A quiet time but still three friendly staff sharing chats with us.
I had a (higher upcolleague in town from Finland who wanted to watch the football match (Germany vs ??). While it was on, the atmosphere was dead albeit the pub was pretty full. The bar was a mess. Tables empty but taken up by empty pots(glassesand food plates/items.The person on the bar was clearly having a bad day. Regular heard swearing to himself. Muttering under his breath. Broke several glasses in a 30 minute period. When at the bar the staff member was difficult to engage and my offer to "put-one-in" shrugged off. Overall quite rude. We stayed for one pint each and moved on spending an absolute session in another nearby pub.3 stars for the building/venue and choice of beer.
Decent boozer felt welcomed straight away even told us the good spots elsewhere
Good pub serving decent beer just off Old Street Underground Station (about 2 mins walk if you get your directions right.
At one time this was definitely a spit and sawdust boozer. Not much has changed, except that people dont spit any more. The weather was hot, so I drank and breathed the traffic fumes at an outside table.
What a great pub. Very well looked after, delicious food and some great beers on tap. Just a short distance from the tube and well worth the visit!
OK but me and my mother wanted something light and wanted the fish finger sandwich. But because it was after a certain time theu dont do it so just had to eat starters as too hot to have something big. I know they do a deal with the sandwich and was after the time but they still should do the sandwich without the offer after the certain time if that makes sense. Sometimes you dont fancy something big but you want something more than soup.
Super nice local pub in Shoreditch
Walked in at 11pm and they served us 2 pints with a smile. Hit the last call “lights flickered” around 15-20 mins later, got another pint 😉Wish we could have been there 2 hours earlier. Nice place and classic pub.
Party of 4 for Sunday roast. Our orders were two beef, one pork, one lamb. Its hard to decide between what was the favorite between the beef and the pork. Both were excellent and generously portioned. The lamb, while flavorful, was a touch dry, but the accompanied gravy helped immensely. The "fixings" of yorkshire pudding, potatoes and seasonal vegetables were also great. The staff was attentive and very welcoming.
Great good and even greater staff, cant wait to go back
Don’t bother waited 40 mins for food part was missing, cold lamb & pretty shabby customer service. Never again.
Extremely rude man (Irish guywho worked there, seemed to be a manager and was also very rude to his staff in front of customers. Felt sorry for the other staff as they were all pleasant.Awful customer service - and to top it all off, paid £7.20 for one of the worst pints Ive ever seen. The man in question reluctantly poured me another one, which as you can see wasnt much better.
Beer was good and friendly service. I didnt eat just popped in for a few pints before catching my train.
Great London pub, good selection of ales and food ( though I did not try - other than a packet of crisps that were great 😊, and this time unlike a few weeks ago, the ghost ship tasted fresh and citrusy as it should.... Worth a visit
If you are looking for a place where you can just have a pint, relax, maybe have a chat in a very cozy atmosphere, then this is the place.Food is OK.Very nice and friendly personnel.
Amazing bar, staff & manager! Recomend to anyone in the area...Friendly, fun and polite and the bar is alot bigger than what it looks from the outside....Great vibe! Fab food xxThank you - xx
Food was okay. But big downside was not putting on the sound of the match when it was a big match going on - it was evident that the tables around us were disappointed in the same. I’d say around 40-50% of the crowd were there for the game. Had I known this was the case I would not have booked a table here (after expressing interest in the game)
Great selection of beers, very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and tasty food
Nice bar, good location and decent choice of beers but weirdly got served with disdain and long waiting time
Generally poor experience in a rowdy pub. Roast dinner was sub-par and tasted right out of the microwave. The cherry on top was being rudely shunted out into the rain while waiting for a cab. Shame as there is a lot of potential here with the friendly bar staff who are not at fault.
Such a beautiful pub with a super chilled vibe and drowning in tasty IPA the staff are amazing and so is the food. Also I wasnt sponsored for this review but I could be for the right amount of IPA 😁
Proper pub with a great location. Friendly staff and a good beer list. Food is great and worth staying for the extra pint. Good space to relax inside and outside (weather permitting). Well be back for sure.
Even though I work quite close to this place it was the first time Ive visited here.It has a typical pub style layout, with some outside seating. We visited here in the evening after lockdown had finished in general. The staff were helpful and pointed us to a table, then were happy to offer table service - although we ordered drinks at the bar before we sat down.Throughout the night some staff came around offering free food.... The first round were mini burgers with (I thinkpork belly. Im not exactly sure, as I didnt have one, but my friends said they tasted pretty good.Later they came around with French fries. I did sample those... They were pretty close to fries you get at Mc Donalds - so very crispy and quite tasty.Very nice place, and one I will probably go back again to for a long lunch when I get the chance.
Burgers are crazy good 🤪 watched EURO match here, not really a sports pub but was alright.Aperol spirits was really nice as well.I will visit here for burger again
All of the staff and were very friendly and welcoming. In particular the two bouncers, Taco and Charlie were what made my night. They were very kind and great people to meet. If your lucky enough to walk past the three crowns and catch them on shift, it is definitely worth drinking at the three crowns.
I booked a table for dinner at 8:30pm. Around 7:30pm, I get a missed call from the pub with a voicemail asking that I call them back; nothing further. I try to call 3 times, but was unable to get through. So, I left a message explaining Id received a missed call and asking them to call back. I assumed that if it was something important, they wouldve said something in the message.Fast forward 1-hour, I arrive at the pub and one of the bar tenders is packing up the outdoor seating area. I ask her where the entrance is and she tells me that they are closed. Somewhat confused, I tell her that I have an 8:30 booking. She says, "my manager called you". So I ask to speak to her manager. A guy called Matt comes out to speak with me and the bar tender returns inside. I say "I returned the call three times but couldnt get through, why didnt you say the pub was closed in the voicemail?". He says, "Oh did you? We didnt get anything our end". To which I say "I dont understand, did I book at a time you guys were closed or are you just closing early?". He apathetically says "were closing early today". I clarify, "so, youve decided to close early, even though there was an outstanding reservation, and you left a message without saying you were closing early, thinking that would do the job?". He responds, "yes". In disbelief, I retort "right... Thats a really big f**k up Matt". He says, "yes". I leave. Not once in the exchange did the manager Matt say sorry for the miscommunication. I felt the need to report on my experience, not because its a bad pub; in fact, it looks decent, which is why I chose it in the first place. But, because I think the staff working on Monday night 08.12.2020 were unbelievably unprofessional and represented the pub atrociously; I wont be going again. I hope that whoever sits above Matt has a review of the working guidelines for their staff so that someone else doesnt have a similar experience in the future.
Good old world London boozer and can get busy.Plenty of people eating and the burger looked a popular choice. Only had a pint but will certainly be back for food.
The Sunday lunch is absolutely top notch and I’ve never been disappointed with it. This is a great pub to watch the football when it’s on and it’s always busy enough to have a great atmosphere when it’s not on. Good selection of beers with new beers/ales popping up all the time. If you’re not having a meal then I suggest you get the honey sausages in a pint glass to share as they are amazing.
Oh wow!! What an amazing find this pub was!! We chose 4 different dishes off the menu to share at such a reasonable price and the food was to die for!! So so tasty! Cant rate the staff high enough also for excellent customer service!! The Manager, Andy was so welcoming and Jade served us with the best gin and tonics ( at VERY competitive prices!in London! 5* all the way a must visit pub!! X
Great pub. Friendly service. Delicious food and craft beer.
Cool pub for good times with friends! Nice staff!I ordered a burger and it was perfect! Definitely recommend!
Great dog friendly Pub. There is very little to pick fault with here. A great drink selection with some very good beers on tap !Food is very good quality and served at reasonable speed. The highlight however today was the staff, with a great attitude and genuine care for customers. We will be returning again!
Not sure yet. . . I am writing this as my companion is waiting to be served at the bar. The drinks are fine (I got those earlierbut he went to the bar more than 10 mins ago...hes just come back will continue later with a review proper.Update. Food is good and beer is cold and as long as its not too busy, service is quick.
A great street corner pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Great polite friendly staff to help you get drinking! Simple inviting menu and lots of beer to choose from, what could go wrong?
Great pub and location. Staff were super friendly and chilled, had a cracking night catching up with an old friend. Plenty of beers and great food. They had the footy on in the background but not overbearing. Download the app for a free pint, didn’t work for me.
A great pub in a central location. Normally they have a decent selection of beers, though I feel at times they lose a few taps when it has been busy. The kitchen is real, cooking and serving what seems to be real food, rather than nuking frozen ready meals. I have always enjoyed what they serve on the every changing menu.If you can get at the front of the pub it is a great atmosphere. The back is better for groups and can get hectic sometimes. Even better to perch at a table outside and enjoy some people watching.
Very nice pub in the heart of old London, near - guess they call it Old Street for a reason! Great place to sit and watch the world go by. Decent selection of beers and ales on tap and the Sunday roasts looked amazing.
Great pub food at a great price... really good barman...try the bar food tapas 5 plates for £21 mega value
Nice pub to enjoy a drink, didnt like the fact that the closing the outside bit at 10pm.
