Drink prices will make you think you are at a restaurant in the western world and the food was a bit of a let down

Friendly place, reasonable prices. Has Guinness. My only complaint is they only open 4pm weekdays and closed Monday

Amazing place. Great vibe. We watched the footy and enjoyed great food drinks and company. Best chef in the world at making shanks!

Great place and food. We got three roast dinners between us. We were hungry so we got some chips while we waited. Big mistake, they tasted awesome, but we were so stuffed by the huge roast that followed. Top notch. Highly reccomended!

Most Sundays I would come here and enjoy Tavern’s Sunday Roast. I think it’s one of the best in Phuket that I have tried so far 😊 Best to book the place before you come or check in with them because some times lamb/pork is out

Great place for Sunday Roast. Excellent quality Australian roast beef. Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes all very authentic. Although a sports bar with big screens volume kept down during Sunday lunch.

Best sunday roast / lunch ive had in ages, friendly staff, pork ( crackling ), beef and lamb shank.Best to book as very popular on Sunday afternoon..

Beside the fact that you will enjoy some of the best food in Phuket in an unassuming sports bar. You will be greeted and taken care of by some of the best and gracious staff you will find anywhere.

Awesome roast dinner and actually fills me up, we had both the lamb shank and beef betweenAbsolutely delicious, you also get a pudding included so well worth the money 👌Now time for a lay down 😁

Another excellent meal of bangers ,mash,peas,onion gravy in a giant yorky pudding and topped off with mint sauce. Very nice 👍👍

Hard to catch them open these days, but when you do, its well worth the effort. Easy going atmosphere with friendly patrons and staff. Cocktails are first rate, food is a bargain, and the closing time is relatively "flexible". Thanks for helping make our stay in Kata an enjoyable one.

Wow, what a meal! We rode from Phuket town just to get a Sunday roast, it was absolutely 100% delicious and well worth the trip.My wife is English, and she loves a great Sunday roast. This place delivers in spades. Im honestly amazed we got such a perfect meal outside of England.I got a roast dinner with beef tenderloin, she got the roast chicken inside a huge Yorkshire pudding. They also offered lamb shank.Both meals were cooked to perfection, came with a lot of amazing sides, were an extremely generous portion, and delivered on all expectations. Im a big guy that eats a lot of food, and this filled me full. My wife had a good 30% remaining.The meal even included a spectacular dessert of toffee pudding with ice cream.I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a gorgeous roast dinner. The staff were very, very kind, and the owner was a nice bloke as well.

My Wife and I found the "Tavern" 2 weeks ago, after eating in the less than average restaurants in the area, this was a FANTASTIC change. Once we found this restaurant it was the only place we ate until our departure back to Canada. The food in exceptional, the restaurant is very clean, good prices and it is in a very quiet location away from the insane crowds. John and his staff make you feel at home and complete the excellent eating experience. You can not go wrong eating here!

Good prices, freindly staff

This place is 💯% the best place for dinner/drinks in Phuket. They also took the time to ask what we like and made something exactly to our liking. The chicken in chili paste and Tom yum gai was absolutely phenomenal. We went somewhere else the second night, but took a Tuktuk back to the tavern because it was absolutely best service, food and price!

GO HERE. Owners and staff are lovely. Food is /amazing/. They were out of a dish, my secondary dish was praiseworthy (so i praised itthe chef came out, we thanked her personally, and she also apologized for not having the first dish???? I dont expect amazing customer service but we certainly received it. And the food was awesome.Its this little tucked away restaurant and Im so glad we tracked it down.

The yellow curry was amazing and my wife thought the panang curry was delicious. I believe the owner asked us if our food was ok which we said it was. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. There was football/soccer, rugby, and Aussie rules football on 4 or 5 TVs. It is a little off the main road but definitely worth a visit, one of our must eats when we return to Kata again.

As every single review on here confirmes we had a great time at the tavern as well. Watching the world cup while the owner made us feel extra welcome made this experience unique. Well definitely come back if we have the chance and well recommend everyone to stop by !

Excellent Sunday spent at the Tavern. John and his staff work hard to ensure you enjoy your visit. Food quality is very good as are the drinks all at reasonable prices.Would definitely visit again.

The food was great. The portions are huge, friendly service. The owner will sit and have a pint with you while his wife handles the first rate food. They make you feel like you stopped by their home for dinner.

Felt very welcome here and Im so glad I found the place. Amazing choices of sport on 7 or 8 different screens. The owner even took the time to find the AFL game I wanted to watch. Will be going back next time Im in Phuket for sure

Ive been here every time I visit Phuket. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks price are very reasonable. All sports on the big screens 100 yards from Kata beach its ideal. Owners very welcoming. Back in November, Ill be paying this place a visit.

Epic place to have a ice cold beer with friends. No live band so you can actually hear the conversation. Make your way through all the people that tries to drag you in and in the end of the street. Very nice bar and well recommended!
