For the price i was expecting more, ordered a vegetarian platter and felt like i was eating newspaper, no flavor in the food and seemed very bland. just ate it because i was hungry af and didnt wanna bother complaining. maybe my choice of food selection might have been bad and other meat related food might have been good, but still never again id go for something veggie in this place. literally felt like i was eating a rs.300 vegi rice from pilawoos.

A tad overrated in my opinion as the food was underwhelming! My portion of Pork was way too small with just one small piece - hardly adequate for a adult male!! My wife had a Chicken dish which was way larger than the Pork dish but was not particularly tasty and finally, the Garlic bread was a ripoff!Service was excellent - no issues there!

The people were really nice there and quite welcoming. We didnt have to remind them to get us anything from time to time because they were completely attentive. Be that as it may, the food were below par for my taste and for the price.

The customer service is top-tier. However, I had to take 2 stars out because there was no AC and they took way too long to bring our food.

An amazing fine dining restaurant located in Colombo.A quaint and quiet restaurant, with excellent food. There is a good selection, including vegetarian options and very good drinks as well.Interior is very nice and cozy - good ambience. Suitable for friends, families, couples etc.Staff is helpful and friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and give very good suggestions about what to try.Overall a very good experience and would love to re-visit.

Beautiful place, great food, right in the heart of town!

Not what you expect. Deserted, stale food and really bad service. Left a 10% and waiter was angry with us. Tried to pay by card and said that they only accept cash. You would expect a restaurant to accept card but no.

Amazing food with a calm vibe

The worst place you could ever have lunch at. They treated us very well as we entered and as we asked for rice and curry , they told us that we are not allowed inside and we asked for drinks they said they couldn’t offer us that. The WORST place I’ve ever been to . So much of an attitude. Hated the place and staff.

Exceeded expectations with their service, food and the location.Food was excellent and the variety in the menu was unique. Even better than their food is their service. From the manager to the steward, everyone was very accommodating, courteous and goes out of the way to create an amazing experience.I enjoyed every minute I spent there and it was good value for money. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.

I had heard many good things about this restaurant in the past and wanted to try it out. I booked well in advance and when we got there there was only one other couple there. The air conditioning was insufficient to cool the main dining area.Most of us ordered the steak. It was cold and came cut up. They only had pepper sauce and a potato purée as an accompaniment. They charge for everything including the pepper sauce. The drinks were overly sweet. The crème brûlée was awful and priced at Rs 1100/- for a tiny portion.The service was also not even a redeeming quality. There was a manager who had to be reminded to get what we ordered. The gentleman’s lavatory was in awful state. There seemed to be some activity going on in the back but no idea what.Would not recommend going here by any measure. Especially given the cost! Awful experience overall.

So I went for lunch at their Sri Lankan restaurant, the service was extremely rude. When I inquired if I can have a beer with my meal they completely refused. Only to have the owner waltz in with his beer for his lunch right in front of me.The portion size is absolutely dreadful for the overpriced mediocre rice and curry. Which left me with a completely ruined lunch out.Only commendable area was the food was clean. However, the table wasn’t clean nor did the waiter clean it.Definitely don’t recommend their Sri Lankan eatery. Although I am not aware how they run their western dining, and I definitely don’t intend on finding out!

I personally found the place too over priced and the food wasnt amazing. We had the most expensive steak on the menu.The service wasnt great and prompt. I think they were short staffed when I went, due to the current country situation.

Absolutely worth the visit! From the staff service, to food deliciousness, to wine/beer selection. The best dinner in Sri Lanka for sure! Im coming back one more time before leaving Sri Lanka because this was truly an amazing evening.

Weve been in Sri Lanka for more than 3 months and this was the BEST dinner ever! The service is amazing, very kind and caring. The food...I cant even describe how well we ate at this place, we ordered a few dishes and everything was SO YUMMY! Also delicious wines and beer selection. We left this place so happy - thank you so much The Avenue staff!Do yourself a favor and visit this place, it is really worth it!

We had an absolutely wonderful night at the The Avenue’s backyard garden area. From the ambiance, live music to the food and service, everything was perfect! Out of all the yummy food we tried, our favorite was the Seafood Vodka Pizza. Will be back soon!

You can have a pleasant evening dining with friends or your significant other here.The vegetarian pizza was good and you can add toppings on request.

This place was beyond expectations!! The ambiance and the environment is amazing suits for friends/ couples/ family. The staff is so decent and friendly. The food was soooo good. Prices are really fair and decent. Had a n amazing time and finger licking delicious finding food which looked heavenly as well. Highly recommend!!

The setting is better than the service which was painfully slow. We waited 45 minutes for our mains.We order steaks, which were not great and overcooked.Not fine dining, so stick to the burgers or pizza.

My teenage son and I had a lunch date here yesterday, our first visit. Everything about our experience was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Our meals were perfectly cooked, with incredible flavor in both dishes and care for presentation. The inside dining was cozy and intimate, and the outdoor seating appeared to be a romantic evening waiting to happen with string lights and live music on Thursdays-Sundays. I had the privilege of talking to the proud owners of The Avenue, and one studied culinary arts in NYC followed by a significant practice in the culinary field for some time in America. It is strongly apparent that they have a passion for fine dining and I will highly recommend to all.

Nice Ambience, good service, but big let down on the food experience. For this price point and the advertised “fine dining”label, expectations were far higher than what the food in reality delivered to the palate. Might be a bad day but I will not want to go there again. Pity, seemed like a winning option when I walked in.

When you visit this place, definitely choose the outdoor option. It is such a lovely place to visit to get away from the busyness of the city to enjoy a nice relaxing meal with your loved ones and friends.Food is maybe on the expensive side, but you cant argue with the taste. For a suggestion they could lower the price of the fruit juices, its ridiculously priced as of now :)Overall great escape from city life, tasty food, and friendly staff serve you with five-start services.

Its a really nice and chilled out place to have a slice and a beer. If you chose the indoor-outdoor dining area, you get a real nice place. Ideal for a date. The service is excellent, kind of having a fine dining sort of experience with well trained staff. Basically its not a pizzeria but a proper restaurant but the pizza kinda was the star for me.

Its nice to have an outdoor table and the bar inside is nice. The food setting is luxurious and delicious. The staff are kind and try to comply with our demands. Places I often want to come.

Black pepper jumbo prawn curry along with freshly made roast paan(breadand pol sambol is definitely a “should try meal” for breakfast or brunch. The prawn curry came with 4 jumbo prawns. This meal is enough for two but if you are more hungry more roast paan can be ordered . As for SRILANKAN taste pol sambol tastes a bit flat but overall it was satisfactory. We got lime and mango mojito too to make it a filling meal. The bill was around rs.4000++ (prawn curry was around 2100). There’s a garden in the back of the restaurant and even in the afternoon it was not that warm , the staff make sure of that with fans and automatic water sprinklers. The staff is very friendly too.

This place has a nice atmosphere, Staff is friendly and their food is bit expensive. They do serve Alcohol also. Its a one stop place for a Date or a family Dinner.
