The Tavern in Prague

We went there week ago and I was disappointed, this place had amazing burgers and fries of all shapes. But now they have bad fries and burger was okay. Beer was not good, definitely not worthy your money, better get cocktails, if you wanna spent some money. I would not recommend this place anymore.

Great burgers, beer and staff. I only have two small personal woes, the music could have been a notch less loud and I would appreciate at least one beer that is not bitter, more bitter or the most bitter in the universe.

Nice burger joint. Huge range of burgers with lots of vegetarian ones too. Menu in Czech and English. Burgers and sides were good. It’s not big inside and was busy on a Friday evening with most tables booked, so worth reserving ahead. Good service too

I had the bacon chedder burger. Maybe the best burger Ive had in Europe. My wife had the west coast vegan burger, which was the best veggie burger shes ever had. We had some vegan chicken poppers which were indistinguishable from actual chicken. Nice beer and service.

Very tasty and big burgers, not to pricy and fairly quick service, waiter was very polite and friendly.Fries are not greesy at all, one of the better I tried

I cannot say anything else than this restaurant is awesome. I’m finding myself going back again and again. The food is amazing (I’m vegetarian), drinks good and the staff are always so friendly and helpful!

I ordered through Wolt and had The original Burger, Swiss and Mashroom, and the butter milk chicken burgers with fries. The packaging is high quality that preserved the food texture and consistency during the delivery. The taste was 10/10. Highly recommended for a heavy meal where you won’t feel guilty

Really great pub/restaurant. The space inside is cozy, the atmosphere is great, the staff is really nice and friendly and they play good music too. They also have a great variety of burgers and also vegetarian options. Fries are amazing aswell. Really worth a shot if you want to experience this kind of atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

Really great burgers and fries, worth a trip if you enjoy that. Only reason for not giving 5 stars, was we got a Pecan pie that was old.

Without a doubt I would recommend coming here for dinner. Great food with very helpfully members of staff. Its not the biggest of places but it does have inside and outside seating

We were here for lunch. They have great regular and vegan food. Our burgers and fries were delicious and wed definitely recommend coming here!

Most likely the best burgers in Prague. Loved the staff too! Totally worth visiting 💯 We watched the sunset at Riegerovy Sady and then came down here for dinner. RECOMMEND!!

One of the best veggie burgers weve ever had. Try the Spinach+Grilled Mushroom and Urban Garden Burgers. You wont regret it!!

One of the tastiest vegan burgers Ive ever had. Quite expensive for the size of it though, especially because fries are not included. Fries are pretty average, but they seem to be everywhere in Prague.

Seriously, the best burgers in Prague and plenty of vegan options too! I totally love this place as well as their branch restaurant U Kurelu few steps away from Palác Akropolis. I often order take away as well and cant get enough of it :)

Man this place never fails! The place is small so highly recommend reserving if you can but you can get in now and then and so you should. Never been let down by the taste of these burgers, easily the best burgers in Prague!

The bread assoft as freshly baked, this goes very well with thesauces and all the other vegetables that make upthis masterpiece. At The Taver you can findcordiality, professionalism and intimacy in a trulyauthentic place. At the end we were delighted with agreat cheesecakes

The Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with the Applewood smoked bacon could possibly be the best chicken burger I have ever had. Service was fast and friendly. I’d give this 6 stars if I could.

Burger was pretty good. The big pieces of bacon top! Only problem I see is small portion of meat in normal burgers (115g), but thats only my bad. Chips were pretty good with BBQ sauce.Salad normal, but the chicken was really well flavoured. Just please dont put the cucumber and tomato pieces like on the photo, looks weird.I think the price is little bit higher then should be, but as I noticed, most of the guest were not Czech, which are used to even higher prices.

Amazing little bar, very friendly staff.As I was sat by the door and they were bringing in a delivery through the door, they offered us blankets to ensure we werent cold.At the end of our visit they were more then happy to make some recommendations of other places in Prague to visit.

Its a small place with only around a dozen tables. We both got the tavern classic burger, it was absolutely delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. The fries were okay, the waffle and curly were pretty good, but the regular fries in the mix were just okay. The side of coleslaw was pretty bland, but i added salt and put it in my burger so it was fine. Really nice experience overall.

One of the best burgers in Prague. The place is aways packed and it is no surprise. Meat perfectly cooked, great fries, friendly staff. One of the guys didnt write a thing and always was on point. Dude, how xD It is a really small space so get ready to feel like a sardine, when there is a lot of people.

We just arrived at our bnb in Prague and wanted to grab a quick bite before heading out to town. Having been hungry for more than a couple of hours, we couldnt have asked for a better joint to land up at. Amazing burgers - the hamburger (lokaland a spinach veg burger, smooth pivo jezek (pale lager?), and a medium bodied house wine. All served with a smile, and a very medieval ambience to add the "tavern" touch.

The Loaded Fries with pulled pork were soooo good! We also had a vegan burger which was okay. It’s kinda small inside, therefore pretty crowded. However the staff makes up for it by working really hard and being very kind.

A really chill, somehow friendly place. The reason I am saying somehow friendly is because both the waiters who served us had a certain kind of sarcastic humor whenever they were interacting.I ordered their famous pulled pork burger with the side of fries. I have to say, I definitely had better burgers than in here. I mean the burger was okay, the bun was tasty but everything inside did not quite match.The fries were a bit oily and did not taste like potato anymore.Inside the restaurant it’s quite dark, but they have outdoor seating which is cool.To be honest I think the burger price was to high for the quality and what we received.

We got a recommendation from a neighbour so visited here and we were very happy. The burger was so tasty and coleslaw with beet or red cabbage was so good. Fries was too much for me and it was not so crispy as Ive expected. But overall everything so nice, so we have ordered one more burger to go :)

Best breakfast in all of Europe most likely! Seriously though.. the chicken and waffles on Sunday are a must. Diner style filtered coffee, mix-match mugs, Bloody Mary’s, old school hip-hop, cool staff- it’s just all around a really sweet place. Their cheesy omelette is also so simple but delish! Did I mention they have real maple syrup?! Wish we knew about this place sooner. Our number one breakfast in Prague!

"How did they do this.?!!" Hands down, the best lunch Ive had in Prauge. Me and three friends visited in hopes to find some epic spots to relax and enjoy great food. Something away from the busy downtown square. The Tavern surpassed my expectations.!! Two of my friends ended up ordering two to-go meals after our original meal. From a great location to even better food The Tavern has what you want and need. If you dont believe me try it and see for yourself. From beacon burgers and fries to Chicken burgers with onion rings its hard not to find something youd like on their menue. That is and enjoy 🤙🏼

I found this place in prague superguide, so I was going there with high expectations and sadly I was let down. I had Danish Blue n’ Bacon burger with fries, ranch sauce and sparkling Ginger Lemonade. Food was mediocre, fries worse than in fast food chains. The burger was a combination of strong unbalanced tastes. The only great thing was lemonade.Their staff was unfortunately not very nice and oblivious. Although I partially blame the hot weather, it worsened the already bad situation. The place is also very small and the table arrangment does not help at all. I might come back to check whether it was a bad or normal day and hopefully change my review.

Great location by the park so customers can take their burgers away and enjoy it during warmer seasons.The restaurant is cosy and decorated like a tavern, pretty cool. Staff were young, friendly and checked on us frequently (by Czech standards). We went after the peak lunch hour on a weekday so it wasn’t too crowded.The burgers were delicious and portions were huge (typical Amerkcan style), but the done-ness was not consistent (my friend’s burger was a nice medium and mine was medium well).We also ordered the buttermilk chicken nuggets and they were savoury and nicely seasoned, with a generous serving of sauce and a side of purple cabbage coleslaw which was tangy and refreshing.The fries were a mix of regular fries, waffle fries and curly fries. We loved the latter two as they were extra tasty.Everything was fine and I was about to give the restaurant five stars until we ordered the brownie. It was more like a biscuit and we were pretty disappointed that it was not the soft, warm brownies we were used to.I’d still go back for the burgers and fries!

Great brunch place! Honestly haven’t been for any meal but brunch! Their brunch burger on Sunday’s is great and their southern eggs Benedict on Sat and handover fries are great! It’s right next to a great park to take the kids after or go for a nice long walk!

A definitive burger experience, and one that should not slip by you if youre a fan. I typically place this burger joint in the top three in Prague, the others being Dish and Palanda, though in no particular order.Tavern is a great place to head into after a walk and some drinks in the park next door, to cool off in the pleasantly dim basement over a few drinks and a basket of amazing fries.Reservations are almost a must, so do take the time to make one.
