3720 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140, United States, Miami Beach
Design-savvy eatery offering American breakfast, lunch & dinner staples such as burgers, open 24/7.
Had the waffle with fresh fruits and my husband the French toast. Both were delicious, coffee was just ok. The silverware and plates could use a better cleaning .
Writing this while sitting at the restaurant. I would give 1 star, but the food was too good. The waitress barely came to our table. We saw her when she brought our waters the first time, took our order, brought us condiments, then lastly when she brought the check. Doesnt sound too bad until you note that there is an automatic 14% gratuity on all checks.- She did not speak more than maybe 15 words the whole time. After she dropped off the waters she just walked away. Did not even greet us.- She never refilled our waters. The two times we got them refilled we had to ask. One was by the kind gentleman that brought our food (Green glasses). The second by the hostess. The waitress didnt even ask if we wanted a refill when she brought the check.- Very unpersonable for the service industry.WOULD go back for the food.WOULD NOT go back for the service.
Stayed at the hotel and ate here twice. Service is a hit or miss. The second time I ate here, you’d think the waitress was being forced into some drudgery. No smile, no small talk, almost a smirk of disgust on her face.Food is also a hit or miss; I’d say mostly good but I was served stale cold fries with my sandwich. And with that hostile waitress, I didn’t want to risk asking for better. I doubt they could provide. If you’re staying at the hotel, only resort to eating here if there aren’t other reasonable options.A little more relaxed friendliness from wait staff and do something about those awful fries and I think you have a much better experience.
This place made up for last nights less than steller meal 3x over. Kind waitress, quick service and the French Toast was some of the best Id had. Idk what they do to the sausage or where they get it from but MORE PLEASE! Next time were on Miami Beach, we are absolutely coming back!
Great food, service, drinks, decor and atmosphere! However, I gave it 4 🌟 because the chefs there dont follow the same recipes or style of cooking. I went back a second time because I enjoyed my food so much the 1st time but it was not prepared the same as the time 1st visited. But I will go back again and recommend this place for others as well. Enjoy!
Good selection of food and for a fair price too the atmosphere is nothing but good vibes and the staff are incredibly tentative and friendly! Definitely recommend if your around the area to grab a quick bite!
Great food, great staff and well priced for the Miami Beach area! We visited this spot multiple times as the food was too good to pass up. Try the burgers, they will not disappoint.
Nice location, prices are lower than many restaurants around, the staff is very nice. One thing that confused me was the sausage looking like someone has taken a bite of it before me. They did replace it in no time.
The best brunch ever.. amazing service to top it off. I’m very happy I got to try this place out.
Excelent filet mignon with shrimp, potatoes and asparagus. Nice place, good service.
Stayed next door from this place and had to see what all the in and out was about. Food was ok, not a fan of the French fries, I feel like there is a missed opportunity there for some flavor. All and all I would recommend this place.
Service was good. I thought it took a little long for a fruit salad though. I had already eaten but my friends had to eat so ingot something light. The mimosa was great!
Where too start, interracial couple walks in (me and my girl)! We slowly get seated, and for the next 30 min no one bothers too come over. For 30 mins we watched people come in after us and get water and place orders! We were ignored and just got up and walked out and ate some better food at a better place like The lobster shack. Go there for good food not here!
Diners be warned. Even for a single diner, they add a 6% service charge and 14% gratuity to your check. This comes out to paying 20% more than menu price regardless of the type of service you receive. I am a gernerous tipper but I do not like being forced to tip. Other than that is was a neat little place with a cool vibe. Enjoyed the decor. The Mac and cheese my friend got was amazing. My drink was a little weak and my grilled cheese was burnt more than I like it it to be. It was definitly black and crispy. The fries were good and everything came out hot and fresh.
Came for the diverse menu and patio atmosphere. Patio was amazing, the mussels app, coconut shrimp, and the madras (veggie currywas great. The Filet meal was mediocre at best. Key lime pie was returned, was awful. Our server was very slow, food came out one at a time and apps came out after the entrees, water was constantly on empty. Would not return nor recommend.
I don’t typically leave reviews but the service here was ridiculous. We had a party of 9 (which alright, may seem a bit bigbut it wasn’t very busy. We were seated immediately and yet had to wait about 15 minutes for a waiter, another 15 for waters and then ordered food. Waited for over an hour, and had only 7 out of 9 dishes brought out. We were then stared at and asked if we were waiting on anything else which we were. The 8th dish was brought out but never the last one. The waitress never came to check back up on us, only did so twice after walking up to her and telling her we were missing a dish. By the time she came to check up on us we were done. The only thing the place has going for it is the good food. Service? Terrible.
Don’t do it. Eating in the Miami Beach area can be really hit or miss and this was an absolute miss. Service was TERRIBLE. We witnessed two separate tables walking out. I got up on multiple occasions to retrieve condiments and drinks from the bar as we would see our drink sit in the well for a very long time. Food was off. Hard sandwich buns that tasted extremely stale, cold food, fly in water glass and overall terrible experience. They also didn’t have more than half of the beers on the beer list. When it was time to pay they initially didn’t give us an itemized bill. Only an amount we were to blindly pay. When we asked for an itemized bill the server proceeded to place her hand in the trash, pull it out and had it to me. Then, they were very hesitant to give us an itemized bill but after roughly 5 minutes they produced one for us. Super rude staff (other than the chefs who brought us our foodDisgusting experience overall.
I visit the restaurant with 3 other family members, we settled our self and my first impression was the restaurant needs some cleaning the outside floor has food sticked to the outside floor and table and chairs need a deep cleaning, well let’s get to the point the waitress was in a mood 🙃 we ordered water and coke water did not had no ice and coke was flat and had a nasty taste to it send back and we ordered burgers and fries and session salad we will never be back burger was okay fries were so tried and hard we asked for fresh ones they replaced the fries the salad 🥗 was the worst I had. well set all done again it was nasty nasty food and I should have went with my first instinct
The food was nothing out of the extraordinary. It should have deserved a 3 star. But the service was incredibly slow. The restaurant was not that busy but the waitress took a week to come at the table. So much so that I had to stand up and head to counter to pay.Adding on top of that very bad service, the restaurant adds a 14% tip de facto on your bill even for a single party dinner. This on top of a 6% "service fee". Which means an overall of 20% tip for a mediocre service. I would have fight that approach but I was too tired to almost have been hostage for the time it takes the waitress to comeback.I should have taken a clue when tables were not ready when I came in while they were not busy at all and waiters choosing to chat with each other rather than clean tables after patrons.
Nice restaurant. No wait to seat my wife and I. Only 1 menu for 2 of us and way slow service. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious. But our glasses sat empty and took a while for the whole ordering and check out process. Turns out they add the 20% tip automatically so why put any effort into service.
The calamari was so good.It tasted like calamari scampi! The service was pretty slow and lacking, but at least I was with good company.
cozy place to eat something, very nice decorated. The menu is varied and rich. good attention . Prices are without taxes.
Its a nice location, good ambiance and eclectic decor. And its pretty popular on a weekend evening, for lunch or dinner. The chicken sandwich & chicken panini my friend & i had for lunch on our first day was pretty tasty, fries were over spiced (black pepper), but still not bad, esp after a long trip. However, when I went for breakfast, yesterday the service was quite slow and unfortunately my waffle (with strawberries 🍓 & banana 🍌--the fruits were pretty fresh!was soggy and no longer warm. For the price the food should be pretty top notch. Also, when I asked the hotel desk for bottled water, they suggested the bar--without knowing, I ordered to large bottles of Evian (in glass). Each was $11!! 🤦🏻♀️
Not impressed. The food was good but the service was horrible. We stood for 15 minutes and no one seated us. We finally sat ourselves. After 2O minutes we then had to ask the bartender for a menu and drinks. After 45 minutes we had to ask where our food was and they said they werent sure where our server went. Come to find out the server was upstairs eating. So we thought lets try again another day. Maybe they were having a bad day. Nope. Same thing. We will never go back.
If Could Give this place a zero Star I would!, order a sea food pasta waited a little while came out cold like it wasn’t cook, shrimp calamari clams pasta were cold had to send it back to the kitchen it was a white sauce pasta came out in red sauce this time Calamari tasted like it’s going bad couldn’t eat it … Not worth it at all!
Was not busy when we arrived, the two of us were seated instantly. Then took approximately an hour to get our drinks. We both ordered the same beer, but received two very different beers. Food arrive quite some time later, and my salad was hot from the heating lamps and my burger was cold. I didnt expect much from a "tavern" with 4 beers on tap, but was still pretty disappointed.
The food here is really great-flavors are good and varied. Thw pricing is reasonable for the neighborhood. We enjoyed the wait staff, friendly and helpful with our selections. The only downside was that inside seating area was a bit on the dirty side....
We would give it 3.5 but its not an option.Service dropped the ball here. While servers were nice, we were left waiting for someone to come and accommodate our request to move to another table that had been sitting empty, waiting to be cleaned. Food was good, generous portions; and price was what you could expect from a tourist area... Above average.
Good food here for any meal. Good drinks, pleasant servers and bar tenders that go the extra mile. Anthony will crush you like a grape if you bring bad vibes to his bar.
Food was ok but service as not good and was extremely slow. Server didn’t refill our beverages or check on us after we got our food. Took a long time to get our check after we asked for it and had to ask someone else for the check again and the manager brought it.
I wish they let you do have a star because I was going to give this place 3 1/2 stars! The mahi-mahi sandwich was super salty! The huevos rancheros only had half of a tiny chorizo. The coffee was ehhBut the truffle fries was BOMB.com.
Nice spot for a quiet breakfast...had great service...food tasted great, but was cold. Waitress offered to reheat things, but that would wreck the eggs and French toast...timing from the kitchen to the table could have been a whole lot better
I was here for dinner and it was great! You have to take into account that the restaurant starts to fill up between 6-7pm and there may be no room and you may have to wait. I arrived early and it was no problem. I was given a glass of water and a menu right away. I chose a pasta and it was delicious. And the waiter was great - very friendly, attentive and communicative. The prices were quite high, but thats kind of everywhere in Miami Beach.
If you want to have a great meal great time great memories to the accomplishments you’ve made in your life to enjoy that time at a bar to remember those moments with great service great bartenders great service beautiful environment beautiful love you atmosphere love the bar love the drinks always go to spot for anybody in the general area of fountain blue or North Beach miami
This was one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. It was savory and a slight tangy edge. The Hess were perfect. My potatoes were creamy and sweet and salty with a hint of bell peppers. It was amazing.
Just checked into the RIU Miami Beach, walked around to find a place for lunch and found the Tavern 24/7. Loved the eclectic tiles on the ground, so nice to have a canopy over our heads! It started to rain-but we never had to move inside. The menu is very diverse, something for everyone in our party of 6. Was surprised at the price -so close to the beach-not to high for the area. I ordered the Mahi Mahi- for 17- was a. Nice size of fish - loved it as well as the pitcher of mojitos. The staff were the best, super friendly and personable. The tip is included, but don’t that let that stop you from leaving a little extra!
Vestra Thai bar inside a cozy Miami Artecon hotel certain food is cottage hamburgers up to full on seafood entrées. I had calamari appetizer was amazing greens. And five cheese oven baked macaroni and cheese. Hubby had the Cuban sandwich which was decent. The cocktails are really good I have a limited beer selection. Outside café is the cutest it was down when we were there because of a little bit of rain. Interior is cozy
Place was really good. Manager was at the host stand and extremely welcoming. Service was a little slow but that didn’t bother me.. we ordered the sautéed calamari - spicy, fresh, tender and delicious. I ordered the blackened Mahi sandwich. My sons ordered the Hangover burger and the Pulled Pork sandwich. They all came with a lightly dressed arugula salad and McDonald’s style fries (they were better but similar). We ate every darn bite. We also had a couple IPAs (Funky Buddha Hop Gun). They were fairly smooth for 7.7%. I’d def come back here..
If youre wandering down Collins looking for something good to eat Mid-Beach, The Tavern will hit the spot. They have outdoor patio eating and a great menu.
Came in after 8 on Sunday night with 6 in our party. They were able to seat us inside. We enjoyed the hitchhiker shot & the raspberry needs thyme cocktail. The chefs choice empanadas stole the show at the table, and we ordered a second! I reccomend the beef empanadas for sure. I had the caprese salad with added grilled shrimp and it was delicious!! My husband had the bolognese and enjoyed it. My sister-in-law had the calamari and really enjoyed that as well. The bacon chicken panini was dry and had no mayo or sauce on that, only thing that needed help.... The fries were delicious and perfectly crispy.
Food was ok for the price. The potato fries that came with omelette was stale. Nothing great about this place. They also charge 14% gratuity to the bill.
Food was tasteless. Scrambled eggs were very dry like it was prepared long time ago. Fresh juice wasn’t fresh and cappuccino was just coffe and milk without foam. Not coming back.
The food here was absolutely delicious. The mussels were my favorite😍. Waitress didn’t seem to be enthused so the service was just ok. I would have given the 5 stars because the atmosphere was perfect, but due to lack of service…well….
Service was good. Food tasted good. Got a headache later that night, most likely the food. But was the 2nd time there. 1st time no problem. Hopefully 3rd times a charm.
The Tavern has a nice atmosphere inside and out. My wife ordered waffles with strawberries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage links. I had steak and eggs that came with french fries. Food looked good coming out until we started to eat. My wife food was cold and the waffles were hard. My eggs were salty and I didnt ask them to add anything to it. Waitress did apologize for the inconvenience and we spoke to the manager who was accommodating as well. Overall ok place for simple breakfast compared to other places in the area. Probably wouldnt return.
İ first want to state that the food is very tasty and exactly what I wanted. The service on the other hand was ridiculously slow and felt like we were specifically targeted Because we complained. İts like as if the staff on purpose was being slow and ignoring us. The restaurant manager talked to us and offered us a discounted breakfast to make up for the experience. We went their today and we waited 20 mins and we just walked up and left. There was plenty of empty tables inside and out and no one was coming to seat us. İ understand its busy and also covid time, might be short staffed but the respect for customers is not there . Im a paying customer and i felt like i wasnt treated with respect. Ruined my whole mood for my vacation.
The service wasnt very good and the food was mediocre. Fries were cold and it seemed as if I received the scraps of fries left behind from the last batch. I ordered more fries which were hot, but tasted like old grease. The vegan burger appeared to be a frozen patty with no flavor. It beat the craving, but far from satisfying.
My mussel dish was amazing! The truffle fries were a little under cooked. But over all, it was satisfying.I wish the music wasnt so loud.
Food was good, especially the scramble with basil and sausage.Coffee was very watery and tasted burned, pretty much undrinkable. Ordered a cappuccino that didnt come out until ~10 minutes after food. Also had to wait around 10 minutes after giving our card to get it back and leave, but I wasnt in a hurry. They add a 20% gratuity to all bills, which is fine with me, but on the bill it splits it into two parts and says "14% gratuity". This is misleading and hard to believe they are doing it for any reason except to trick you into leaving a 26% tip instead of a 20% tip. If it werent for this last bit I would have given 4 stars.
Yummy food and great service. Ate here Sunday night when really busy and less than 30 minutes sitting by the pool got a table. Fish dishes both great and reasonably priced. Arrived soon enough. Breakfast on a weekday was also great and no wait. Service was great both times. Recommend Tavern breakfast and salmon breakfast both excellent. Staff wears masks. We ate outside but inside was air conditioned and decor was cool. Restroom was clean and a single but several of them. Bar looked nice.
