Boudhanath Sadak, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal, Jumla
Contemporary art museum in a unique 1970s-era building with an architectural archive & cafe.
Hospitality is a core to this service... So, need to focus on this part
Very peaceful and quiet place in the middle of the hussle and bussle of the city.
Very peaceful environment
Nice place with greenery. Nice planning in small place. Cool arts and display spaces.
entrance fee is rs 100 n rs 50 for student..arts n paintings are few in no. as mentioned but well managed.. greenery having beautiful managed gardens.. u will find a cafe as well inside there.. perfect place to capture photos or for photoshoot
We had a dance and rights workshop there from 7th to 9 th October 2022 at the gallery . We worked with lawyers, dancers and people with disabilities and had a litle performance also at the open space next to the place. Staff was very kind and supported us a lot. One of the best places to conduct a workshop or an exhibition in Kathmandu.
Its a really nice space with museum, shop, restaurants. surrounded by trees and interesting architecture, its worth a visit if you are in the area.
Really nice olxe to visit and relax
It is Holy place of Lord Buddha
Beautiful presentation of Arts and culture. Loved it! Peaceful and tranquil environment. We even saw some squirrels 😄😄 the cafe is wonderful and serves great food!
Here is an unusual visit in Nepal. Museum or rather art gallery, there is a permanent exhibition space and a very beautiful place for ephemeral exhibitions. Thanks to Jérôme Édou for his invitation and Frank Bernede for his interpretation of Bach.
When you seek inner peace along with art then this is the best place to be at.
Such an impressive architecture to see with only 100 Rs. for entrance fee. The exhibits is quite little which can be equiped with more interpretation for educational purpose. Other than that, its 5 starts! The surrounding is also great with large and clean green yard. You can see many little cute squirrels running around looking for food.
A houses a permanent collection, contemporary art exhibitions, events and performances, café and bar, and is known for its high quality & avant-garde art & performances.
Went for my dads friends art exhibition, the area and location was clean and filled with greens. Loved the theme and everything else, beautiful buildings.Loved the total experience there, didnt spend a long time but I would if I had a bit more time! ♥️
Place is good but Not in operation.
It was great experience for me stay with art bliss peoples they are really helpful and kind ✨️

Its beautiful 💗 babal xa
Nice building to see but the museum is shut currently.
Excellent Place. Museum was closed even in office time. Might be not opened after COVID.
Great place to check out whilst visiting Bouddha. Still incomplete tho.
Spend a wonderful time out here in Taragaon Museum.
This was a surreal experience for me .
A decent place. Great for a walk. They have good collections of art displays every now and then.
This place is sooooo pretty .
I was there for art exhibition so the entry was free. I will definitely go there to view museum too. Art displayed were mesmerizing and informative at the same time. Farm theme was displayed here. If you want to go for exhibition please visit before this March ends.
Very appreciable place. If you love art and you are interested to see something new, you gotta visit it. But still I wish there were some more things to explore in the museum. The place architecture is awesome, the area fantastic and the environment peaceful.
The environment is so calm and beautiful 🌟...and the cafe is so great and amazing. Must visit place!!!
Very much cool Museum into the Kathmandu Valley!
What an amazingly beautiful place to spend time in. The only complaint I have has got to do with the toilet which is small and cramped. Everything else however, is such a treat to the eyes. Such a beautiful place!
Truly an escape from the busy streets and crowds of Kathmandu. The beautiful architecture and the surrounding greenery adds calmness to the already peaceful environment of this place. You can see some great artworks and installations here. I really like the surrounding areas of this place. There are so many trees, which gives a natural feeling to this place.
Combination of the parking, restaurant, Lumbini College of Buddhism & Himalayan Studies, museum, conference hall and greenery in Bouddha.
Legendary Photographer Mani Lamas "BOUDHA" Photo Book and Photo Exhibition.
Besides being a museum, which is a brilliant place to lose yourself, it has grassy patches you can lie down and read all day...
A very scenic place to hangout in Kathmandu.
Its free from dust of area surrounding it, for there is greenery everywhere inside the museum. You can have fresh breathe.
The premises is beautiful and so is the architecture of the museum , but the museum itself does not have much to offer...it seems like a work in progress. The outdoor studio had some interesting performances to offer. It has a very nice cafe for good coffee and snack with a very peaceful view.
Very calm and relaxing place. You would love to visit while some exhibition happening. Or just visit when you have few hour to stroll and see arts.
If anyone want to spend some quality time in peaceful environment there is no better place than this place.
A quite and nice place for nature and architecture lovers where you get to observe the exhibited art and also have delicious food at Flavors.
Nice place ,no entry fees. The museum has a nice architecture but its not very big or special, but if you want just to chill out a bit than its the right place. In the park you will find also a nice restaurant, quite expensive though.
Different architecture, better environment and the food just hummmmnn😍😍 wanna go there again 😊
I am quite amazed to visit there..feel happy to see ancient building structures maps there..and lot of information are kept there. Perfect palce to visit.
One of the finest buildings I saw in Kathmandu was the Taragaon Museum built by Austrian architect Carl Pruscha during the 70s.The campus is quite close to the World Heritage Site of Boudha Stupa, which is about 10 minute walk away.
Well structured peaceful museum
Splendid hotel turned cultural museum. Now also architectural archive. Modern building complex designed with ideas and materials based on traditional buildings in Kathmandu Valley
The neat little museum is just a few feet off the main road and a couple of hundred yards from Boudanath Stupa but the serene garden around it will make you forget the business of the outside world for a minute.Entrance really is free and theres a nice cafe/restaurant connected to it.
The architecture of the buildings in this museum is different from traditional Nepalese architecture although the museum was built in the late 20th century. The artworks here displayed photos representing history of Nepal, especially architectural history.
Beautiful place with lots of arts.
