Amazing service and better food.I highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert

Nice service, staff smiling which is nice, food was ok. I had soup and a pizza, WiFi is good. Menu is not to large which I prefer. Food was a little underseasoned but that was fine I seasoned to my own taste. A rather unusual pizza as it was served in a hot plate however the toppings went well together.

Super nice and sweet bar, best served drinks by an amazing staff. Wide variety of classic drinks to specials. The list goes from espresso martini to go. And to tonics.

Even with a light on the table, a special light to tell the staff you want service, it is hard to get the attention of them. The food served was cold and rubbery. We told our waiter about this. No reply or action.The pints were poured poorly. After asking about it, we were told its because the tap is automated. It stops after giving the given amount. This amount is NOT a pint.Beware. Should you want to split the bill, make sure you do the math yourselves, for the waiter will just hand you the pin machine and leave. "I have more things to do and helping you will take too long" was his actual comment.Nothing Irish about this Irish Pub on Rokin. Nothing pubby either. Shame.

The best way to describe this bar is chaotic. I went on Halloween and they were preparing to have a Halloween disco/jazz party or something. While my friends and I were sitting there a bunch of receipts caught fire due to a candle. Then a cat somehow magically appeared and started walking around as if it owned the place. The drinks prices are common for Amsterdam, which is to say insanely overpriced, 7 euro for a pint!

Mad bar.. totally modern Irish type bar not what youd imagine. Japanese djs playing hard house, complimentary sake on entry last Wednesday. friendly staff & joking doorman.. get down there and see.

Originally a church The Tara now has a pulpit on the dance floor and church bench seating. There are still cupboards, doors and items of furniture reminiscent of its beginnings. Stop in during the day for a hot chocolate by the fire place.

Dear Manager of ‘The Tara’,to improve customer experience, please consider the following:- tell you staff that it’s unacceptable that they eat from the dishes that are ready to get delivered to the customer- ensure that waiters/waitresses aren’t working when they are sick with a cold. Having a runny nose and touching glasses of the drinks is unhygienic- the cutlery and the table should be clean when getting seated- implement measures that make your staff work motivated. It’s currently hit or miss: very friendly or very grumpy- the ayam kecup dish should come with a bowl of rice or considered to get cancelled from the menuOur order got forgotten and we had to re-order after waiting 55min. The mistake got fixed immediately and the staff apologized. This did not influence my review.This is only in regards to the diner experience of the 21/09/2019.

Pizza has to be the worst I’ve ever tasted. They serve it on a hot skillet, it can’t be cut and shared properly. It’s dripping with liquid, seems greasy.Large beer they served me was 250ml. Has to be the smallest large cheery beer ever. I complained in general as we were leaving but rather than just editing the price so I only pay for the half they brought, they refused and said I’d have to take the other half of a pint. Con men must be working here.Severely overpriced slop.

Loved being there because of the trendy, dark atmoshpere and the Espresso Martini - highly recommended. Didnt tried the food but looked very delicious! Only criticism is the unattentive service.

The food was quite a dissapointment!! The burger was raw so I sent it back but when it came back it was the same patty only cooked until dry and with no sauce on it. The salmon was also raw in the middle and completely unseasoned. All the seasoning was on the potatoes (they were very salty). I do not recomand this restaurant for food, however, maybe only the cook on the time was incompetent. The staff was nice and everything was clean and well presented.

A couple bars connected with a unique style good place for a drink

Borrowed their bathroom without buying. Very nice personal always ready to help. Their menu looked good but we werent Hungry.The place looks really nice. A lot of history pieces to look at.

So the ratings were very bad but we still ordered the cesar salad and the burger and it was good! There could be more fries withtheburger but in the end we were happy! But i really dont like the plastic waste for the sauces! So only 3 stars..

The locarion looks great and as a group of 5 we quickly found a table. But sadly the food was not great. Im not picky at all, but the food was cold and the coleslaw salad was extremely fatty.The ribs were actually quite tasty, but not warm at all.

To be honest I would have rated this 0* if I could have. The service was absolutely appalling and I can’t believe the lack of attentiveness from the staff. My boyfriend and I sat ourselves down on a table outside and in all honesty it wasn’t too long before a waiter came over and asked what we wanted. However prior to this we were not given a food menu or a drinks menu so had no idea what to choose. My boyfriend asked the waiter what beers that have and he listed them off in the most uninterested way possible and made no eye-contact whatsoever, he kind of just stared into the distance like he couldn’t be bothered to say them all (probably because he has to all day but that’s besides the point). After we had ordered our drinks I got up and got myself a food menu to see what was on offer. I was not impressed by the price of the food for what I saw being brought out to tables. Anyway 10 minutes passed and our beer and lemonade had still not come out nor had we been asked if we wanted any food. Shockingly poor service - I would not recommend this place.

Nice place, alot of private cozy spots, have pooltables. Ate a burger once, it was good nothing fancy. Service is nice, the girl was friendly and fast. Dont know how it is whennits busy tho. I come here when its quiet. There is enough space inside with acouple of bars and the terras is big enough and got heaters. Cheers!

I must say, I was disappointed. When my fries came to the table, they were cold. Wasnt checked one once during the time I was there. Wasnt brought ketchup for my fries. Had to hunt someone down to pay my bill and none of this was because they were busy. Probably 20 people in the entire restaurant and just as many waitstaff. I watched while they stood around eating, drinking and socializing rather than serving the people in the restaurant.

The food is mediocre but fine if you are hungry, and the chef is super friendly. The service is horribly rude and it seems that they are unable to serve a glass is water with ice, but they will gladly sell you water with ice. If we knew business was that bad we walked have continued to another spot.

Great outdoor area to enjoy when sunny, and funny church-y looking indoors with a fireplace. Friendly staff, and good selection of drinks.

Interesting bar. Worth a visit for the unusual design.

Very friendly staff. I did not get the womans name but she is tall blond and beautiful and she makes some of the best cocktails I have had in a long time if she is there get her to make your drink you wont regret it. If you are a rugby supporter and dont like the massive crowds of the other Irish bars this place Is big enough to fit everyone comfortably and have a great atmosphere at the same time. There are televisions everywhere so no matter where you sit you can see the game.

Ill be back sure. The menu looks nice but just I had Macho Nachos. Staff were lovely and the place aswell

The service was indifferent, unorganized and sloooow.. We were able to order drinks after 15 minutes and also requested the menu to eat something. Nothing happened after that, so we left after 45 minutes. The waiter didnt even notice when we said goodbye.

Nice setting & good location, but MAN what a miserable bunch of waitresses. We were polite, ordered plenty of food & drink and still they looked upset. They hated being there...The bar personnel are much friendlier...The beer selection is great but the food is overpriced for what it is... so my tip is go, have a few beers, watch some sport & go then eat somewhere else.

Good range of drinks here. Music was a little loud and the same song was played again and again. I had ribs which were delicious but my wifes Salmon was a bit under cooked.

This bar is in a really good spot in the center. Its a little overpriced but you cannot expect anything else if you want to be in the heart of Amsterdam. I really like the inside, its like a cave with different rooms which makes it cozy and a cool experience. They even have a terrace to enjoy the days of sun.

Slow service, grumpy staff, over priced for whatever you get. Give it 2 stars since I was happy to leave

Huge restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating with large umbrellas to shield the sun. The service is slow but the food is good. Lunch was a bit pricey but they take care with their service.

Just had a quick bite to eat and it was absolutely delicious. I had the sticky ribs with a side of fries. The ribs were perfect! Super tender fell right off the bone, and the sauce was really good as well. The one thing i really enjoyed was that you get what you pay for. They give you enough sauce ( not 1 lousy sauce packet were you can only dip two fries in ). And it the service was also really quick and polite.All and all it was really good 5 stars

At first glance the menu looks good, but the dishes are just a bunch of ingredients thrown onto a plate. Besides, the dishes are quite expensive for what you get. Would not recommend to go to eat. It looks like a cozy place for drinks. However, there are many better options in and around the Nes.

Asked for a hot chocolate and got on with whipped cream. Told to the server that I ordered without, but he answered that with because he always asks it; from my side I always say not to whipped cream. In the end, still I was charged for whipped cream :). Customer service could be improved

Was looking for a place to get warm and have a drink with a group of friends. And found this place and found it to have a lovely friendly atmosphere and plenty of room to sit where the table and chairs are not all on top of each other as in some other bars come restaurant combined.

A pretty nice hip pub, very cozy and has a great atmosphere.They have a pool table smoking room which is convenient for smoking indoors.Also, you can watch sports/football on their screens.Food menu is pretty good as well.Service is nice with a welcoming staff.

It´s a lovely place to have a drink and music is totally good. Cocktails are overpriced

Staff is friendly and its a great place for casual drinks with friends - either in the afternoon or in the evening. Its located right in the middle of the city and has quirky design elements and furniture in the restaurant. Plus I love to play pool at The Tara.

This is a huge place made up of several bars all beautiful with good prices and friendly staff. Also look out for the wonderful chocolates available to buy they are delicious

The place is huge and has differently themed rooms from cathedrals with log burning fires, to modernist stainless steel areas; have a walk around to find your favourite​!Add to that talkative barmaids and TVs for all the sport, well worth stopping in if youre in the area

Fantastic huge building, great brunch but pricey.

I enjoyed my first visit and particularly the excellent quality bar food. On the second visit the place seems to have become infested with mosquitoes, it was a serious inconvenience, and I think they ought to do more about it. Cleaning the bathrooms thoroughly might be a good start! Not sure if Ill be back...
