Breakfast-to-dinner British fare served in a bright, modern space.
Good, flavorful food using quality ingredients, thoughtfully put together, with some pretty decent gluten-free options.Quite enjoyed the Full English, though for the price you pay you get less than what other breakfast places give and have to pay extra for whats included elsewhere.Staff were friendly and accommodating, but at the moment you can definitely see they need more help. Being understaffed, it takes too long for people to have their orders taken, especially during busy times.
Perfect brunch place. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Food and drink are both exceptional. Will definitely come back and try other dishes!
I love this place! Come here at least once a month. Always crave the waffle and fried chicken with Vanilla milkshake. The staff are nice and the place is very cozy. Try to come during an odd time tho if its weekends brunch then its very packed.
It seems to be a trendy place, but it did not meet my expectations. The service was slow and the food average. I ordered eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was nothing special. Our food took long to arrive but we were politely asked to leave our table quite fast after that. Not sure if I would go back to be honest.
This breakfast was not only beautifully presented, but it was so tasty! One of my new fave spots for brunch.
Its a nice place and friendly service. Thats it. Food was awful.French toast wasnt really based on a brioche or bread, it was some bread pudding.Bacon was artificial and cold.Poached eggs were cold.Caramelized banana cold.Coffee wasnt good at all.Only thing good that we had was the fresh juice.Quite the disappointment.
Visited here for breakfast after arriving in London too early to check into our hotel. We had the breakfast stack with homemade lemonade. The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. They were able to sit us without a reservation. Only criticism is that it was a bit expensive for breakfast.
Very accommodating, polite and friendly staff, amazing waffles! I did mention it was my birthday on the booking (it was part of the booking processand the employee who showed us to our seat acknowledged it however no other mention from any other staff and nothing special added to the service which was a little disappointing. Just a thought if you make it part of the booking process to ask if this was a special occasion then what’s the point if you’re not going to treat the customer with a little something extra? This hasn’t put me off from returning as I was happy with everything however just thought I would provide this feedback so you are aware :)
This place was amazing.Got the full English with black pudding. This is not some bulk buy Tesco sausages and beans chucked on a plate, this is a plateful of wonderful texture and flavour.Nearly gave it 4 stars for calling it the full English and not the full Irish like home 😉Staff are lovely too 👍
We were looking for a local space to hold our event this summer, and we are so, so glad we found out the Table could host it! We couldnt have asked for better communication, prep and execution for our party. The chef put together a bespoke menu and we had a cocktail menu created for us - all the staff went above and beyond! And were brilliant on the night. We go for brunch at the Table regularly (honestly, best brunch in S East London - try it!but they pulled off our private party so well, I would recommend them in a flash to anyone looking for an event space. Such a pleasure to host a party at such a down to earth, local, independent establishment.
Absolutely lovely breakfast, I’m a waffle convert! We actually came here two days in a row for breakfast because it was so great the first time. Wonderful atmosphere and staff, with the perfect level of service!
Very tasty brunch; the food was ready quickly despite the restaurant being full. Had to wait about 10 mins for a table (didn’t have reservation beforehand). Staff was great.
Lovely brunch, just 10min walk from Blackfriars station. They do ice coffee! And have outdoor seating.
Stumbled upon The Table Cafe thanks to a Google review and so glad we did. Food was absolutely delicious with so many amazing things to choose from. Service was brilliant, prompt, super friendly and a really lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend
A lovely varied menu of classic and creative brunch items. Plenty of vegetarian options, so theres really something for everyone. The plating is beautiful and the food was good. I had the corn fritter, of which the fritter itself was a little dry but the dish as a whole definitely worked well together. There is also a nice brunch cocktail menu!
Our first meal in London and it was wonderful, full English breakfast, (Free-range fried eggs, streaky bacon, home-made baked beans, roast tomato, herby mushrooms & GF ToastTable Ranch Burger (Sliced tomato, lettuce, pickles, home-made spicy mayo, bacon & and I have to say it was all delicious. Wonderful off the street atmosphere, but topping it off the incredible service. Edrich, you are a jewel. We may come back again just to report on all your recommendations and get more. Thank you for our first wonderful meal in London.
Loved both the waffle and pancake savoury breakfast, this alone makes me want to come back to London.
Great brunch spot, nice ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food and great coffee 😋😋
Went here for a friends birthday brunch. Delicious drinks and the range of food is great. I had the sweetcorn fritter. I would say it was okay but could do with being crisper. The French toast portion was quite small so definitely get extras with it if you are quite hungry!
Was served by Edrich who took good care of us. Great service and good food - the waffles are perfectly light and crispy, will definitely come back again.
Varied brunch menu with plenty of vegetarian options and some vegan as well. I ordered the corn cake dish and it looked beautiful but tasted a little off. Almost as if there was too much baking powder. Service was a little slow. Great location and beautiful outdoor patio
First time visiting, I enjoyed my Brunch with pancakes. I will definitely be visiting again with my family.
Great brunch spot with vegan and vegetarian options! I had the full veggie plate and loved the full spread. I came on a rainy Friday morning & most of the tables were full. I’d imagine this is a hot spot on the weekends. Quick and attentive service.
The food was delish!!! Edrich and Venus were so accommodating and informative of the food and area. We were able to get a table last minute for coffee. The coffee is rich, full bodied that we had to come back for more!!!
We had a super delicious and wonderful meal here on Friday. I loved the patio area as it was quiet but still in the city centre. The food was AMAZING and my sister and I both loved our breakfast meals here. The cocktails as well were delicious and full of flavour, yet super reasonable too. We left very full to say the least!! Service was wonderful too and I would definitely come back. Thank you so much!
We chose this place as our breakfast and coffe location during our stay in London. We tried some different positions, they always delievered.Great coffe, I have to admit. Nice blend, really soft and deep flavour.Service is also first class, they are very quick, joyful and can offer some great suggestions if you need them.
Great brunch, especially the savory things on the menu, and the coffee is amazing. There are vegan items on the menu and milk alternatives which is lovely; the outdoor seating is especially pleasant because it’s not on a street pavement but in a courtyard type of space, making it quiet and less windy. 10/10
Prices are o.k, the meals are delicious, staff is friendly and respectful
1st time here: Just bad on this occasionI always try to see the positive side even when places dont get it just right but Maybe we just came on a really bad day as the reviews here are very positive mostly But our experience food wise was very bad, even the waiter kept apologising and tried to make amends although it was not his fault. I Wish we went elsewhere as the amount we paid was not worth it. They have also tried to fit too many tables in the restaurant that are too small, barely any space to fit food if you are more than 2 people sitting down to eat (our cutlery kept falling, table was like a small square with 3 people around it, we ate with our elbows close to our chest😭)The pancakes (picturedwere like a thick piece of fried bread🥴 we just kinda picked at our food and ate what we could.....hot chocolate wasnt good either (pictured)Looking back, i do wish we left and went elsewhere instead of trying to just eat/pick what we could from the plate but it was raining and we had no extra time.We have been to another brunch place just around the corner from here called "Where the pancakes at" or "The breakfast club" so i REALLY Recommend trying these 1st.🤷🏾♀️🤷🏼♀️
The staff were really nice. The food is good and reasonably fast.
Amazing spot for breakfast and I’m looking forward to going for other mealtimes as the menu looked amazing. The prices may seem quite high but the quantity of quality food justifies them.
I had a very important birthday to celebrate and I chose The Table because it has such great food and lovely atmosphere. I was not disappointed! Considering we were a large group having a breakfast they managed everything beautifully. Lisa was great when organising everything leading up to the day as well as on the day and Celeste was incredible bringing a very friendly personality and incredibly efficient style to managing all of our chaotic requests! Celeste got lots of comments from the other 17 guests that were with me about how wonderful she was with them and the whole team were really good! We had a lovely birthday breakfast in the back courtyard and I must say I can fully recommend this wonderful restaurant - the people, food, drinks and atmosphere are just fantastic - thanks to all the team, especially Celeste for making my birthday breakfast so wonderful and memorable!
Such an aesthetic place!! Really nice staff and great vibes - an outdoor and an indoor space! Really great quality food and a nice variety of stuff on the menu. We went for brunch. Need to go back for the dinner and the rest of the brunch options!
Food-wise, very much satisfied. I can definitely see myself coming back to this place again solely for food. The greatest thing about this place is a truly wide variety of brunch menus - usual brunch dishes plus waffles, pancakes, french toast and burger. We went with savoury waffle, oh boy what a beautiful taste and texture of waffle, so yummy. Bonus point for the generous size of coffee (large size coffee is large in size indeed). A nice vibe/decor inside as well. Not a five stars because it was a tad overcrowded (distances between table are very short! Almost feel like we were having meal with people from the tables next to oursand felt the place is understaffed - we had difficulty in grabbing attention from servers and ended up not having dessert that initially we were going to have.
Nice vegetarian breakfast. They were very busy when we went. Husband said his breakfast a bit cold, but otherwise fine. Waiter Ethered(?great.
We visited The Table at lunchtime on a Wednesday, I made a reservation just in case but there were plenty of tables available when we arrived. I initially liked the variety and the freshness of the menu and being a vegetarian the full veggie breakfast (£13sounded good. When it arrived it was well presented and was very tasty, the spinach was particularly delicious and the beans were not the processed heinz variety either. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino to go with my breakfast and my boyfriend ordered the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (£13and a milkshake. The restaurant was very bright and airy and the decor was homely looking. The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and welcoming. Having brunch at The Table was an enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend a visit if youre in the area.
Hands down my favourite brunch spot. Host always goes out of her way to to find space for me even when its super busy (always is at weekends). Well worth waiting for a few minutes if it is at capacity. The staff are super friendly every time and the service is always great. Ive tried most things on the menu. Love the Vegan pumkin pancakes, corn fritter and the burgers are also brilliant.
I was lucky enough to get a table without a reservation on a Sunday at 10am.Good friendly ambiance and friendly service. I was warned that the food would take 40 minutes, but in reality it took 15.Eggs Royale for £9 with an extra of avocado for £3 - the smoked salmon was really tender and the poached eggs cooked to perfection.
We loved the full English breakfast. And the black pudding had some great flavor. The staff were friendly and ready to help. The food did that yum that only comes from those that prepare it and cook it with that special love for their craft. It was happy town flavor train. You will not be disappointed with size of the serving. The pancakes were amazing, truly a cake- loved the cream and berries. The French touch was dense with lots of flavor that just put a smile on your face. The clotted cream just hit the spot with the sweet syrup. The eggs Benedict was on point with hand crafted hollandaise sauce. The fullEnglish took you to the country side and a warm English inn. The sausage was fantastic as were the eggs and bacon but the star of the show were the beans , some darn great beans. Definitely coming back.
We were staying just a few doors down and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast/brunch there two days in a row. The food was wonderful and the service was fast and efficient. It was the perfect way to start long wonderful days sightseeing in London. The Full English Breakfast was a highlight of the experience. I could not recommend this place enough. Delicious food!
I took the eldest to London for a half term treat and had heard amazing things about the Table Cafe round the corner from the Tate Modern. I knew that the menu was going to be perfect for me but was worried it looked a bit too adult for the picky 6yo. However the staff were utterly charming and accommodating and delivered brunch of dreams for us both! Delicious food and professional friendly service. 5 ⭐️
The food is delicious , they do great brunch/ breakfast meals . French toast and pancakes are the great , the bacon they use is nice and crispy and the hash browns are incredibly delicious . The homemade lemonade is exactly right and coffees are good too. However, I’ve been a few times and staff seem quite moody and it’s hard to get their attention even when it’s quiet .
Great vegan options, had the pumpkin pancakes which were very tasty! Really nice atmosphere as well. Given 4 stars as it’s quite expensive and alternative milks are subject to an extra charge.
The overall experience was ok, but not outstanding. The food was really nice, I really enjoyed my dish. I am not sure if it was the table they sat us on or just the service, which felt a bit approximative, but I wouldn’t say the experience was remarkable. I would rate this a 6/10.
Great for brunch. I had the Long Weekender waffles with halloumi, which was excellent - the waffles were light and crispy and moreish. My friend is a coeliac and they have a good amount of gluten-free options, although they use the same kitchen. So no guarantees, but that’s pretty standard from businesses in the UK now. Also at our table were the Full English with black pudding (delightful), and the corn fritter, which felt really heavy and dense when cut.The place is obviously popular and was absolutely packed, but the staff at least were observing covid protocols, which was reassuring even if the tables are really close together. There are a couple of outdoor tables which I’m sure are lovely when it’s a bit warmer!Staff were very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this place and return!
A lovely little cafe with very tasty food! I went in with the intention of ordering a full English, but after reading the menu decided to give the Eggs Benedict a go, with a side of Ham Hock and Chorizo hash browns. The breakfast was delicious - the eggs were cooked perfectly (runny in the middleand the hash browns were great. Would definitely go again.
Fantastic!I wasnt sure where to go for brunch while Visiting london and a friend of mine recommended this place. The staff were very welcoming, and I felt really looked after! It was clean and it was nice to see chefs in Action. Coffee and food was delicious and it was a big portion! I will definitely be back next time I am in london! Thank you and see you soon! 🤩
Only giving 4 stars due to poor service from the host when we first entered the restaurant. We had a table of 5 booked but was told the table was not ready, made to wait half hour, and apparently told we were being aggressive when we asked for an update??? Pretty absurd start to the experience but the manager resolved it for us in the end. Food is good, that I must say.
After having read reviews about The Table Café, I was looking forward to their brunch. Unfortunately I came away disappointed after having a subpar breakfast at a premium cost. The pancake (not pancakesfor £13 was underwhelming and the bacon was beyond crispy and very tough to eat.The State Mary drink just looked like a drink you get in a Spoons served with tiny plastic straws but at a cost of £8 and it was very potent, making it difficult to drink. The bacon dust in the drink just looked like bits of soggy biscuit crumb and didn’t add anything to the experience. The latte was nice and a good size. Overall the entire experience lasted about 30 mins and it felt very rushed but the staff were very pleasant and there was a good buzz about the place. It’s not really a place I would recommend to friends.2 x Brunch Clubs Pancake2 x State Mary’s1 x Latte1 x Flat White£55.80 inc service.
I went there for a mini breakfast birthday celebration with my cousin, and I loved the place! The food is delicious and served beautifully, the staff are friendly, the vibe is fun. Will be coming back for some breakfast or brunch - there are so many great dishes to try!
