Cosy inn with beamed ceilings, wooden floor and beer garden, offering hearty pub grub. Dog-friendly.
Loaded nachos were lit innit
A small pub with a large out door seating area...Live bands play weekly and the pubs very busy on the weekends. Mostly the younger generation visit the pub but caters for all. Recommend a visit.
Lovely pub, with a nice outdoor garden thats great for this summer season. The food was nice and delivered very fast to my table, only side note, no traditional Sunday Roast option on the menu. Still recommended, very nice pub!
Great staff,drinks fairly priced.
Nice ambience, great location in the old town. Nice outdoors area for drinking and eating.
Brilliant..loved it..beautiful garden..lovely friendly pub and live music...whats not 2 like.
Lovely place and drink, great if youre getting a taxi, if yoire driving no parking is given so its best of luck to find a spot
Good food, Thursday music nights always packed and queue and people a real natural and friendly. Top for lunch, dinner and just drinks. But wow it seems to be a lot more expensive these days... 😬
It carries a character, as in traditional british pub. Ambience is good. Staffs good too.
Used to love going here, seemed like the staff were making up prices as they went along, two drinks cost £27… but for same order they charged my friend £18 not sure how you can get that so different
Got myself a Cajun chicken burger which was really nice. The bun was a little bit dry and the chips were extra oily. Unfortunately they ran out of tomato ketchup which ruined my whole meal. Although I have to say the burger was very tasty
Staffing needs improvement. No chefs so had to get my starving toddler some snacks and go somewhere else. Need to pre warn customers using your website or even your notice board that was put out the front of the pub. I hope you get things sorted there.
DO NOT GO HERE! It is a terrible place & discriminates if your pregnant! The bouncer was awful & said pregnant women should not be in a bar!!! Save your money and go elsewhere! I will be reporting them to the licensee council
Lively local pub - only real pub left in Beaconsfield - shame pub crawls round Beaconsfield were legendary
It is a very racist pub against Asian people. They serve white people as a priority and don’t care about POC punters even though they may have queued prior to white punters. Awful experience, because they are all racist.
Delightful pub cracking staff didnt eat
Great little pub, great band playing, enormous beautiful back garden with friendly and attentive bartenders!
Extremely disappointed with the food here, we should have guessed when we were the only ones eating.Starters were fine but then it was only cheesy nachos. My chilli was okay but my partner ordered Jerk Chicken, what he got was 3 massive lumps of chicken in a sauce that was okay and rice with no beans. The chicken he said was like cardboard, he took it home, washed the sauce off and gave it to the dog. Not recommended. The staff were very attentive though.
Such a shame. This place used to be reknowned for their excellent burgers, then new owners arrived and almost the entire selection of outstanding burger combinations is gone, leaving just a cheesburger as the beef selection!!!Ruined.
Great service especially at this moment of time.. food & beer is good & the atmosphere is lovely.. very family welcoming
We went on a family meal of 8 and we told them.that we wanted the table side by side but no one table was at the other side of pub and the lady wasnt helpful at all.
Popped here with my 1&3 year old for a midday lunch on a Friday and was quiet. We sat outside so the girls could play on the climbing frames which were perfect for early years.Great American style food and generous portions.Friendly staff who put up with us moving tables 🤣 and the littles running around!I had the nachos which were delish and chicken wings 😋 which were HUGE!Bon Appetite
Good pub but seems to have lost its way a bit recently. The previous Saturday we were the only people in the marquis when suddenly loud country and western music started blaring out. We asked the waitress if this could be turned off or down but she told us that the manager had told her this was not possible as the Swan was now an American themed pub and other guests yet to arrive would want this. Really? We moved table and waited for the bus load of Dolly Parton fans to show but must have missed them. Also 12.5 percent service charge now automatically added to everything so bear this in mind when ordering. It is a shame as a great traditional local pub is in danger of becoming an American themed restaurant that serves pints.
Busy Saturday night but Dom the waiter got us seated and offered amazing customer service. John the security guard was probably the most professional and polite bouncer I’ve met as normally they are quite aggressive with young lads. Small things like this all add up for fantastic and enjoyable experience I will definitely be coming back here. Would 100% recommend if in beaconsfield.
Went today (BH Sundaywith my GF and dog. Really welcoming staff, faultless service. Great atmosphere. Lovely garden. Clean toilets. And most importantly the food was Amazing! Proper honest food, comes as you hope/expect, extremely reasonably priced....would have happily paid more for the portions and quality. Excited to return! Thank you!
We came for lunch here and loved it! The food was so much better than any other pub around and the staff were literally amazing and catered to us constantly! We can’t wait to come back 😌
Really enjoy this place. Been a few times and everytime its been great!Staff are great and food is lovely
Great pub with amazing atmosphere. We had a few nibbles during our visit that was delightful and even a live act!!!
Cracking gem of a pub, friendly staff, great food, atmosphere, lovely South facing garden for all day sun action (when out).. love your gin? This is the place to go, home distilled variety of gin to suit all taste buds.. also has a good range of beers on tap..
Tables outside could do with a refresh feel like they are about to fall to bits. But food is good as are the staff
Atmosphere was great, lovely cosy pub. Starters were great - definitely recommend the buffalo chicken wings. We will definitely be back again
Very nice place. Quite busy so book before you go. Lovely food as well!
Friendly staff and really helpful. Great atmosphere. Great if you love dogs as it is pet friendly which is always a bonus if you dont have pets and can admire other peoples dogs
Amazing food and service. Really worth the money, I had the Southern Fried Wrap (picturedand it was very very filling. Lots of menu choice!
This was our first visit to the Swan and I must say if I was ever in the area again I would not hesitate popping in again. We were staying nearby by and so looking for nice places to eat in the area. When we read about the fact they serve American style food I have to say this really appealed. So on the Tuesday morning we made contact and a table was booked for that evening. The pub is set at the beginning of the high street on the left as you turn off the A355. When we arrived we found there was a friendly local welcome waiting for us. We sanitized our hands before being escorted to our table in the front part of the restaurant. I dont know how many tables they had in this area but the ones left were very well spaced out and they had screens up in between. Personally I was glad once again to see the staff without face shields or masks this really needs to catch on. It was also great to see the place very busy on a Tuesday evening with everyone supporting the hospitality industry and the #EATOUTTOHELPOUT scheme. We ordered a drink while we looked at the lip smacking menu. This consisted of burgers , wings , mac & cheese , sides , salads , nachos , sandwiches and of course desserts. We decided to start with some Mozzarella Logs with a chilli jam and half a dozen Buffalo Wings. These were both amazing and you would have to go a long way to find anything better. Now it was burger time and these were absolutely delicious. The Texan burger had a Pretzel Bun , bbq & ranch sauces , cheese , bacon and an onion ring. The Beautiful South burger is definitely one of the best Ive had the pleasure of eating. A Brioche Bun filled with a fantastic piece of Buttermilk Fried Chicken , smoked cheese , hash brown , chilli jam & jalapeños. With this I had some amazing sweet potato fries. We accompanied these with the absolute heavenly Buffalo Mac & Cheese. Now it was time for dessert and there was no disappointed here either as I enjoyed a truly delicious Oreo Sundae with oreo & vanilla ice cream , oreo biscuits & chocolate sauce. This was a fantastic way to round of the evening. This was a fantastic first visit to the Swan and I would love to return some day. I would highly recommend a visit here especially if your a fan of American style food something as I said you would find it hard to beat once youve been here. I would also like to say thank you to Gina and all the team for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.#SupportHospitality #EatOutToHelpOut
The Swan is great. On a sunny day you can make the most of their large sunny garden with play equipment for children. If its rainy, the cosy interior, with open fire and board games are a welcome retreat. Their burgers and sweet potato fries are amazing and they have a great kids menu too. The staff are really friendly and obviously enjoy working there. They have a really popular open mic night and regular live music. Id definitely recommend it.
Very cosy - they even have a fireplace. Nice snacks. Friendly and chatty staff. Dog friendly. Overall, a lovely place to go with your family for a drink and a bite to eat.
Lovely little garden out back. Nice evening sun and play area for kids. Friendly staff. Food had a very heavy American south theme. Chicken burger was nice and my wife really enjoyed the Mexican salad.
Nice pub, but it need a bigger food menuFood can take ages to arrive on busy evenings but friendly staff and it’s a buzzing pubwe never had a boring evening hereLovely spot for a good selection of drinks
Nice local pub. We had the usual burger and a wrap. Not a big menu but good variation. Also in drinks. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Wheelchair access. WC. Garden at the backside. Parking in the street.
We went for the live music. 🎵🎶🎙🎤Brilliant night out.The band that played were great, a jolly place for a few drinks, dance and sing song. The price of drinks, not too expensive and got served within good time even when busy.
Google says gastro pub but its not. The Swan is the best pub in Beaconsfield. Great, friendly staff, good atmosphere and an excellent selection of drinks / ales. The food is American themed and some of the burgers are colossal!Out the back is a lovely garden for those summer days. Kids can play on a pirate ship or run free in the garden.
Had the mac daddy burger and did NOT regret it. Really good burger!!!
Sadly, this kind of more traditional pub is disappearing all too rapidly. Serves great beer (Rebellion is my favouriteand an extensive menu with reasonable prices. Of particular note is the excellent range of burgers that are cooked to perfection - still juicy (much better and cheaper than Mr Blancs place over the road who managed to desiccate it). Highly recommended.
Typical country-style pub with low ceilings, open roof beams and cosy corners. Great selection of beers and gins. Live music on a Thursday evening. Good fun. Enjoy!
I love everything about this amazing pub. It is our favourite pub in the entire area. Great food, English cosy feel to it, nice music, friendly bunch who works here and the clientele is also friendly. We have been here many times and always had a nice time. I cant wait for the summer so we can enjoy our drinks in their lovely garden. I give this pub 5 stars, best in Beaconsfield and nearby areas. Keep up the great work guys.
Great atmosphere, but very loud music. The roof is not very high, so watch out if you are of the taller kind. The food is good, but takes forever to get it. We waited 1 hour to get our burgers!
One of the best Pubs in Beaconsfield with a real local English pub feel to it. Inside its nice a cosy with a few sofas round one side or tables for sitting down for a meal. The food is superb also with a good choice of English Pub food. The Swan also has a lovely outside garden area at the rear which is great place to have a drink in the summer!!
This place is fantastic. It has the looks and feel of what you would expect of a local pub to be. Here you will find good food, amazing burgers, great staff, decent prices. The Swan is family friendly and when the weather permits (yeah, it sometimes does), there is a decent sized beer garden that is safe for kids to run around while you kick back and enjoy one of the many beverages this place has to offer. Of course, you dont need to have kids to relax at The Swan; you can just hangout with friends and play some of the available board games or pick up a good read from the book shelf and chill out, or even just have a great conversation with true locals. The pub broadcast sporting events (when they are worth watchingand has live bands on Thursdays (some are good, some are ... meh).Pets are aloud in doors, but make sure they behave so that everyone, especially you, can enjoy a nice time at The Swan ;-)Oh, one more thing. The celling is low, so mind your head if youre tall. You would not want to be knocked out before you get to enjoy the place!
Avoid the lamb pie. Mostly gristle and fat. Shame, because the pub was quite nice. I told the waitress that the pie was awful when she asked if the meal was ok? The offer of a complimentary coffee would have been appropriate I think, but nothing :-(
