The Sushi Bar 1 - Restaurant in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
The food was excellent and well priced. Service was amazing and the restaurant was very clean. Great all round. Highly recommend
Tasty 😋 sushi 🍣 and new fish sashimi, I forgot that name fish …!
Nice food but the interior has been very annoying because I feel like Im a monkey in the zoo. People watched my people and me for 40 minutes while we were eating. It’s okay that the employees are watching us but not the other customers.. why lol hope there is a cover between the seats.
very good Japanese restaurant with reasonable price
I been there with my family and we really had a nice time come along with lunch set and the staff suprise us with complimentary ice drink and cut fruit.
Lunch menu offered numbers of typical selections.
New owner and gone are all the vegetarian options that made this place special and worth a visit. Hard to understand why they would do this, they loose customers and their menu is became more carbon intensive. Sad
Food quality was excellent! Haven’t been here in a while, had forgotten how good the food is. I doubt you will be disappointed. Udon with fried bean curd, caterpillar roll, and Japanese pancake were well prepared and received.
Big japanese restaurant serve various kind of food, every dishes were plain and dry.average service and price.Good location
Colleagues brought me here for the first time. Would never come back. So disgusting. Hair in my sushi, not even a word of Sorry.
delicious as always, choice of dishes overwhelming, promptly served, maybe due to a near-empty restaurant, nevertheless fresh and professional. meanwhile 3 locations in Phnom Penh, went to BKK1
Great location, The Sushi was great and the price is affordable. Overall its great and yeah I would recommend to go there and try it out
Excellent Sushi Bar 😀A most enjoyable experience. Great, attentive service. Perfect sushi as per Japanese standards of freshness and quality. Very reasonable prices.
Good customer service. Nice atmosphere.
This is a special place. I can see a lot of Cambodian here. Not like other Sushi restaurants. But the feeling just not right. Maybe the music or something. And the sashimi salad is huge. Yes, HUGE!
Good service and great selection of dishes
Its tasty food, but also expensive.
A fine restaurant in Phnom Penh. A bit pricy but its acceptable.
Very popular place, with lots of oversized cars in front. Clean, big menu, but with the feel of a chain - which it is and seemingly not Japanese owned. The fish was fresh, but overall the sushi and other food was just ok. Not bad but not exciting.
Susi bar !!! I recommend to have a "susi bar roll " is very good I love it ! Because it big susi that combine all fish and vegetables together!!! Susi bar locate at bkk 1 always full during dinner time the parking always not enough.
Quite nice japanese inspired resturant. The sashami was very good, and the location is great, in the heart of BKK1. Restaurant as such kind of signals what restaurants look like in Tokyo, with smaller booths for privacy. Probably works very well for both meetings and intimate dinners.
nice shusi place, good service, there are indoor and out door and VIP room for familly or big group, small group. Fresh meat, yummy, good price, many receipes of food.big room for parking, but sometimes need to park along busy street in the evening.
Very nice place to have great sushi in town. The service is quite good. Recommended place. :-)
Great service with waitresses constantly checking in. Many many options for sushi and others japanese foods. A bit on the pricey side but if you go between 11 and 15, you get great combo deals. Would recommend.
Decent Japanese food items, reasonably priced. Preferred their cooked items than sashimi. Their chawamushi (steamed eggis good 😋
Nice food
Lost its touch. Back in 2011 I loved this place, I visited once every year or so and the taste keeps declining. Newer sushi restaurants with better menu and tastier dishes at a lower price exist. Sashimi sushi and Honda sushi came to mind. Really disappointed, this was one of the first sushi restaurants Ive been to in phnom penh.
It is Japanese restaurance with Fresh sushi. It has parking lot and near CHAMPEY massage shop. It also have promosion discuss with PIPAY user. Good for family and friends gathering. However, the price is a bit high.
Was here for lunch on February 22. 2018Service excellent ! Sushi excellent ! Restaurant clean and very stylish. Huge deep wood sushi ber with plenty of room.Bathroom very clean.with flower water and actual towels to dry your hands. (This is the mens room )I had a spicy tuna roll.a softshell crab roll salmon and tuna sushi. And a sapporo beer.Bill total +vat was 18.23 usd.If you are in this part of the city this is the place for sushi in my opinion !
A upscale place with rpivate dining spaces too which are good for meetings. The menu is very extensive. As I am a vegetarian, I had just couple of options. The food was good and we had a very good business discussion in the private dining areas. Good option for Sushi in Phnom Penh.
The Japanese restaurant with unique service and delicious foods.
Highly recommended !! Delicious makis and quite cheap! Good service also :go for it !
One the best sushi places in Phnom Penh. If you require Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles etc. standard youll be disappointed, however. There it would rank on a lower to mid range of quality. Since I live here and when I do get a sushi craving it does the job fine, given that I realize that Im not in Japan or the US at the moment.
Food is ok if u like sushi. Very expensive and the recommendation from waitress is horrible. Not foods listed in the menus. So learn from me dont get the food recommended by the waitress.
It was reasonably priced. The maki are bigger then those I ate before so don’t order too much. The steamed egg, Chawanmushi was horrible. Too watery and the ginko nuts tasted bitter. The beef hot plate soup was too salty.
It’s good food but don’t come during the weekend as it’s too much clients.
Love the food and the place was nice although at some time the accessibility of the location is not easy for cars to come in
November 2017:No improvements, on the contrary, actually. This time I also tried the recommendations of the day. With this, I didnt like it, I understood what they are addressing now: the Khmer preferences.Even the money handling, paying the bill at the end, was in that style. I got an old $50 bill as change that gave me trouble later on.I will switch for the quick Sushi delights in PP to the Sushi World on St. 51.December 2016 (4 stars): the food is still pretty decent, for Cambodian standards excellent. The staffs performance got worse; not paying much attention to the guest, constantly distracted, and distracting from enjoying the meal. Hope The Sushi Bar Management will find them a good (Japanesetrainer.April 2015 (4 stars): a Japanese food factory, staff tired, food excellent, sushi ok not great, value ok.
Open on holidays. A bit generic, but not bad. For western tourists, the sushi prices will look appealing; not sure how it compares to prices in other Asian countries.
Good favorite Sushi Bar in town. The most yummy suahi with reasonable price.
I never complain about restaurants or write public reviews, but this time my experience was so outrageous I told myself I would, so here we go: Cheap yet tasteless sushis, you seriously dont know what youre eating there - tuna looks horrible and Im 100% sure the hotate sushis (scallop sushisI had the second time I went there were not even real seafood. Gross. Also I realized after going there a second time that they didnt even keep track of the points they were supposed to give me. Once I was paying at the counter, I told them I wasnt particularly happy about that but they didnt care at all. Telling them I would probably never come back again didnt bring much more sympathy. Service is extremely poor, careless. Sometimes they will close at 8pm if they dont have customers. Its close to my place and convenient, but I promised myself Id never go there again. I can accept average or even bad food, but I cant accept people laughing at my face when I dare saying something politely. Honestly, dont go there, there are much better options in town.
Good sushi. A little more to improve on attentiveness of the staff.
Food was decent and by far one of the better sushi places in Phnom Penh. However, you gotta be diligent to get the staffs attention when you want to order more or need something
They had a vegetarian section and were happy to accommodate a last-minute big group. The servers pronunciation of their menu items made it a bit confusing to figure out who had ordered what, or Id have given 5 stars.
Something is definitely wrong with the staff here. So impolite, so out of character for such a wonderful country. The woman who greeted me acted as if it was an inconvenience for me to dine. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a table for 2. No smiling throughout the meal by any of the servers. When I asked for the bill, I was practically accosted by the man.The food is decent but the staff have left a such a bad taste in my mouth.
Taste and preparation are fair.. not that so fresh with all sashimi
probably the best Japanese restaurant in Phnom Penh. good atmosphere and quality food.
Its an okay place. However the salmon is not properly cut and sometimes you get bad quality sushi. Too expensive to be justifiable.
Probably the best authentic Sushi in PP. Love their selection. Everything is fresh and well made. The staff are very helpful including the parking attendants. Please be sure to tip them. 1000 Riel is typical rate.
Great japanese restaurant in BKK 1. Restaurant is a bit noisy thanks to all that lovely wood furniture and polished wood floors so not really the spot for a romantic dinner. Extensive menu of sushi, sashimi, tempura, grilled dishes, soups and salads.
