We were welcomed in a friendly manner. Our waitress was charming, knowledgeable and service was excellent. The food was delectable and the Autumn menu offers really interesting dishes. The Pistachio souffle is divine -Lovely ambience-Highly recommend The Sun Inn !

Booked here for a siblings get together, the Sun Inn being an equa distance one and half hour drive from three different parts of the county. So glad we found you. Sunday lunch was a real treat - delicious and plentiful. Big thumbs up to the chefs.Service was exemplary - special mention for Tilly who looked after us so magnificently - attentive, courteous and helpful without being the slightest bit obtrusive. Whenever we started to think we wanted something, she appeared. How DOES she do that?! Service from all there (who served us at various pointswas just superb - polite, courteous, helpful. The whole team are a credit to the pub. Chuffed to bits to have found a new regular rendezvous spot.

Booked last minute for Sunday lunch, not disappointed. Excellent Sunday menu of starters and mains as well as Sunday roast was good to see so choice certainly wasnt limited like some places that only do a roast on Sunday. Food was excellent, lovely selection with the roast of vegetables and sides, soen if which were unlimited (potatoes, cauliflower cheese etc.). Staff were excellent, very attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommended.

Behind the church is a nice village green, didnt visit pub but seemed to have a good crowd so cannot be bad, enjoyed some peace and tranquility watching cricketers.

Good ambience, lovely staff though a slight mistake with giving the alcoholic drink to the tea-tottaller and vice versa! We realised because of the added fruit slice! Otherwise, delicious food, well presented and the souffle was perfection!! Well be going back.

Went there recently for my wifes birthday brilliant staff the food was amazing and the staff singing happy birthday was great a wonderful evening everything was perfect thankyou

Excellent menu quality food a little pricey but worth it

Didnt start well when they refused to take cash for 2 drinks. Now I know they can do this but come on. I have not had this happen anywhere this year. Also this was on the day that BBC news reported that people have gone back to cash because they want to keep track of what they spending. They blamed Head Office who are clearly out of touch.Now to the food. I had fish and chips. The Haddock arrived and was a contorted mess and clearly over done. Contorted also because the oil was likely too hot to start with. I then removed the overdone and dark brown batter to reveal no more than 3 mouth fulls of fish. Chips and peas ok but not a lot of them. It was only lunch but I left hungry!. Didnt complain at the time due to being with friends we had not seen for a long time.I would never eat here again based on this experience.

Went on a Friday lunchtime in the glorious sunshine so booked an outside table. Had also had an offer of glass of wine with two courses which we’d already decided to order anyway. Very polite and helpful staff, food was delicious 👌 and reasonable prices. Although we live in Chobham so easy to get too, it’s definitely one we use again

We went there a bit late, about 9:00pm. The waitress is probably tired; she forgot to bring us plates and and glasses and we needed to keep asking for stuff. The food is fine, but just the service was not that good tonight.

Whilst Ive had mixed experiences here before a really enjoyable meal and friendly service with good cocktails.

Lovely pub with a nice garden, perfect for a hot British Summer, they also have a giant deckchair, great to chill in.Food is delicious, highlight has to be the soufflés both the cheese and the pistachio are amazing.Staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. You can always have a great chat with them.All in all worth a visit!

First visit and very pleased with everything - quality of food, drink and service. Cannot fault it. I tried sea bream for the first time ever and it was superb. My wife had the fish curry and others had the gammon steak and steaknale pie. Everyone loved their meals. We live local and have now tried all the Chobham pubs so we will be back!

A wonderful birthday treat for our friend with delicious food and friendly service. So different to the other venues around and about with a superior menu with a touch of French of course. Very good value.

Great food and lovely staff. Only thing letting it down would be for anyone who is gf . Limited menu options; they do have separate menu to their credit. Cant have roast (gravy,potatoes etc). Deserts are the same as non gf but with things removed etc. If you arent gf then it is 5 stars for me

Great pub in the heart of Chobham. Small bar areas are a nice touch and there are two outside area at the back. Good menu and friendly staff.

Delicious food at this lovely pub in the heart of chobham. I had the delectable Boeuf Bourgignon and it was top notch! Service good and atmosphere lovely.

Not bad. Lovely, friendly service; good selection of beers and wines, food only ok. Steaks and basics etc pretty good but everything else a bit average. Could probably do with a smaller menu and better execution.

Amazing staff and out of this world food.We had the baguette with dips (highly recommendfor starter and then we had the cornish beef burger and the butternut squash with bulgar wheat salad. To finish the meal of with mango and pineapple crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Defo going back again.

Well I rarely give 5 stars to pubs because the food is generally average and so is the service. But this is not the case at the sun Inn. The food was delicious and although the staff seemed fairly young with most likely some recent additions they performed really well. Special highlight: the burger, which is really well seasoned and delicious (not surprising its cooked sous vide).

Excellent evening with the new Spring menu in place. Food was delicious, and on recommendation tried the pea and broad bean salad starter which was fantastic. Service was on point and the atmosphere enjoyable. Would 100% return & thought it good value for money too.

Great pub with fantastic food and great service. Not cheap but well worth it. Very small car park but theres a council car park 5 minutes away.

Great selection of beer at reasonable prices, pleasant staff, 5 of us had a variety of food from burgers to steak pie. Burgers were excellent, steak in the pie was a bit tough. Desserts were excellent

My first visit on Thursday 26th August, the food was delicious and menu really interesting. Service could have been a tad quicker as waiting 10 mins for my drinks but nothing worth marking down for. Really lovely pub with high end food quality.

Had a casual business lunch meeting at The Sun this week. Its the first time Ive visited, but definitely wont be the last. Excellent service and really good menu with plenty of choice covering the great British pub staples, plus quite a few twists.

Fabulous food at the Sun Inn. You were spoilt for choice with the menu, so many good options. Lauren was amazing! She was great with recommendations and genuinely happy at her job. All the staff were friendly and looked after us exceptionally well. Fabulous experience! Many return visits necessary to try the extensive, appealing menu.

We visited as a family of 6 last week for my wifes 50th birthday. Outdoor area is comfortable and warm and the service was very good. The food however was very expensive for pub food and I dont think it is value for money. We had no starters or puddings and only 3 x alcoholic drinks but the bill was £145. I had a steak which was ok but it came with just a handful of overcooked chips and a tomato - for £20 I would have expected a little more. Burgers for two of our party were £15 each and very average indeed with again only a few chips. It is a great venue and the staff were very friendly but value for money is important to us and I dont think we got that.

Really nice, cozy pub with fantastic food and great wine list all at reasonable prices. Chateaubriand was 👌 Staff were all very friendly and they have good covid safety in place.

Great place, lovely and welcoming. I could have stayed all night, as nobody rushes you out. I had the fillet steak with vegetables and salad: I can easily say, it was the best quality ever! My husband had the beef Bourguignon and he said it was amazing. My son wolfed down what looked like a class burger. Service was really good too. Will be back soon.

Beautiful food and service with an enviable menu in the lively village of Chobham. Few parking spots out the back but maybe 7 in total but parking nearby easy. Confit duck was epic and they a wonderful range of gins. Perfect for a lunch or intimate dinner, go try it.

Our early evening meal was nice with quick service and friendly staff. The food was presented well and also taste really nice. There were a lot of specials to choose from too. The evening was nice and I enjoyed it.I recommend looking for the set menu on offer, there is a good choice on there!

So after my sister highly rated their roasts i had no choice but to sample them. Waitresses were lovely, polite and friendly unfortunately that is where the good experience ended. The roast was awful! Yorkshires like stone that turned to dust when broken, cauliflower cheese with no evidence of cheese or sauce, roast potatoes that had been re-heated, bottom less gravy that came out in a jug half the size of my fist. Shame really especially as it was a 45 mile round trip. The Manager understood our complaint and handled the situation well. We wasnt billed for the roasts

My dish tasted amazing (the pumpkin ravioli). It was from the mains and the waiter suggested I order a side as its small which I think is ridiculous, just make the portions a little bigger in this case. Lovely inside, took a while to get served.
