The Steps At Marble Head, Drummond Island - Tourist attraction in Thessalon, Canada
4 wheeling on the island. Lunch at the steps.
A blast to test your machines rock crawling capacity. Whether you drive over the steps or just walk over them, be sure to continue out to see the cliff overlook of Lake Huron.
Took the SXSs to Drummond, this was one of the obstacles. Fun, can be mildly challenging. I did it dry and while raining. Dry its only probly a level 4 with lockers and tires at the hardest section. Much more of a challenge when wet, closer to a 7. Awesome view just past the obstacle over looking lake Huron.
Not just for jeeps anymore.
Amazing place to go. Challenging yet so fun
Great View, if you can get there!
Im sure it was beautiful, but the black flies were insane!!! Such an experience!
People in charge of the jeep event were a holes.
An incredible time on the trail!
The culmination of a great trail ride to view of the lake that is picture worthy. The steps down is not too bad for a stock 4x4 and there are a couple different ways to do it. All that is after them is a short ride to the beach and lake view. Going back up is more difficult and a stock 4x4 (Jeepwill need to choose wisely on the line they take. The ride there and back is a doozey! It was drier when we went so many features that are normally full of water and mud were dry but still fun and challenging.
Very nice, but the side by sides overtook the trails and marblehead. Instead of a secluded getaway it was packed with loud and beer drinking rowdies making "new trails" that they could handle. Still a great view from the cliffs and a nice part of fun trails to enjoy.
Destroyed one of my rocksliders but it did its job.
Popular tourist place for good reason. Some excellent vistas to take in while traveling to and from the steps.
This Jeep busted a U-joint and lost the rear drive shaft coming back up. Luckily able to drive it out with just front-wheel drive.
Awesome experience taking the trail it here. Tough for our small Jeep, but worth it.
Nice trail, got through it in my stock JLU aired down to 23-24 psi. Couple spots where I had to use the less challenging route due to being on 31" tires with no lift, but nothing crazy. My gf took the same route I did with her JKU on 35s and 2.5" lift and faired about the same as I did. Great views though, both along the trail and at Marblehead.
Great fun for Jeeps
Its awesome up there! Had slot of fun and really enjoyed the spectacular veiw views views from up there. Couldnt ask for perfect weather up there it was so nice and clear and warm.
Majestic, this is our serenity. Everyone is polite and the fishing is awesome. Great place to make memories to pass down through the generations.
Beautiful scenery at the destination. Fun orv trail to get there. Stayed at shale beach, then caught the sunrise here the next morning.
Beautiful views. Must see if youre going to be out and about!
Amazing ride. Amazing views met some new friends here
Beautiful scenery. Nice trails well marked. Not very challenging. The turtle ridge park is more challenging.
Most of the trail is quite easy. But the steps can be a nice challenge..
Made it just before the sun went down, made it up and down without the winch!!
Absolutely gorgeous, definitely need 4 wheel drive to get to it, but well worth the journey. Stunning views and one of a kind beach to hike down to.
Great place to visit if you have a 4x4!
There is a section to the right going down that stock jeeps could make it through. This was a great touch because ours is stock. Would love to do it again later once we modify our jeep.
This is a bit of a nice ride to get too. The view is pretty amazing too!
Better be ready for a ride, my little 400 made it and it was worth the drive and a fun ride.
Awesome time! It was absolutely beautiful and well worth the trip out there! We had lunch on marble head and then kept going! Would definitely recommend!
One of the coolest spots to wheel in Michigan. You can even earn a Jeep badge of honor.
Great place to test the capability of a 4x4
Is good fun. Broke last fall going up but made it this time no problems. Beautiful place.
Seeing this for the first time and during winter no less was incredible. Breath taking views. Amazing snowmobiling all the way around the island. Definitely want to return during the summer and fall.
Awesome experience! Recently snowmobiled Drummond island and was hands down the best trails I have rode in years! For anyone who has only been in the summer or has never been I highly recommend going in the winter to see this beautiful place! Also limited to no traffic on the trails which also added to the enjoyment!
Went last summer with a group of buddies. Cant wait to go this summer for the Jeep jamboree.
Always worth the drive out if youre in a capable truck.
Great place to camp. Good food and great service. Great place to make it your base camp.
This is a wonderful experience if you like off-roading. Both downhill and uphill are challenging. After going down, you find yourself in a little piece of heaven...rocks above a beautiful forest and breathtaking views. Its a perfect spot for a morning coffee if you want to camp here.
Really great views, and the driving path down and back up is pretty fun. It really is deceiving though, looks way harder than it is.
Very nice view great day with family
Great view but takes 4x4 to get there
Very neat adventure. Loved the sites!
A great place to stop and have a picnic lunch on Drummond Island. Fun to watch the Jeeps descend and climb the rock steps
Great fun. Made it with 33" AT tires and no lockers easily. Great views. There were beard around so be careful walking it off youre by yourself.
One of many great places to visit! Mild trail can be down with stock 4x4 vehicle
I live in Fla. I visit Mi. Every year. Totally worth the drive. Most scenic trail Ive ever seen.
Drummond Island is a GREAT place to trail ride in Jeeps. Tread Lightly
Great view and an adventure ride to make it there. You can spend days riding these trials. I did this in a stock 2001 Dodge Durango. A few months later I broke a leaf spring. Not sure if the ride had anything to do with it.
