Fantastic B&B, Chris is a great host, lovely converted barn, spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast, quiet comfy nights rest. Secure car parking, plenty of pubs around for dinner.

First time back since 2019. Just as amazing! Lovely lounge, great breakfast but most importantly Chris is just so friendly!

Wonderfully relaxing stay whilst visiting family in the area. Beautiful place - stylish and elegant. Wonderful welcome by Chris and made to feel right at home. Every little detail was spot on. The icing on the cake was waking up to glistening snow. Cannot wait to visit again x

Very high standard bnb. Probably the best weve stayed at. Better than some middling hotels, we think. Sumptuous breakfasts, classic choices. Very clean and tidy. Well appointed, tasteful. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I just returned from the most incredible weekend at The Stables at the Vale.Super friendly, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. We loved the reception room with comfy sofas and the breakfast was fantastic. Honestly cant recommend this place highly enough!!!

Great place. Friendly people and outstanding breakfasts, plus well-situated and easy to find.

A great find. Just on our doorstep and ideal for a night away without the kids. Lovely clean rooms. Nice furniture. A great breakfast.My only concern was that the lights in the corridor are motion sensors, but the sensor is so far down the corridor. We had the far end room and if we left the room to head out, we were half way along a pitch black corridor before the lights came on. Im disabled and the carpet isnt the easiest to walk on with mobility problems. There were also uneven sections, which probably wouldnt be noticed by anyone able bodied, but they are very obvious when you struggle to walk. I was concerned every time in case I stumbled in the dark.Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and we would return.

Stayed at the The Stables while in the area competing in a Crossfit comp.The room we had was lovely. Comfortable bed, nice facilities and clean. Couldnt ask for more.The staff were amazing. We needed to leave early doors to check in at the competition so they opened up the kitchen earlier and laid on an amazing breakfast for us.I really cant recommend this place enough.....

Friends stayed a month ago and back today invited us along, Very welcoming, extremely clean , everything you need in rooms, cosy lounge area and unreal breakfast cooked your way , staff friendly and nothing too much trouble, owner very friendly helpful will defo b back xx

Very nice cosy rooms, a lovely dining/chilling area available all the time, and excellent full english breakfasts (as well as fruit salad etc.). Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, clean with big shower and the owners are very nice. The breakfast is rich and very fresh. I’ll definitively come back.

Myself and my five friends stayed in this wonderful B&B I can safely say it is the best experience we have had regarding the hospitality food and luxurious rooms. The owner Chris and his wonderful staff made us very welcome from the moment we entered the building, it’s set in gorgeous greenery with beautiful plants all around. The breakfast is outstanding, they offered us fresh fruit and delicious treats on arrival complimentary bottles of water etc. It is the best value for money you can get anywhere else in the UK.The rooms are all unique with high end furniture and soft furnishings, the bathrooms are fantastic. No expense been spared.. We will deffinatley be coming back to stay again. I would recommend this unique hotel to anyone.Well done to Chris and his lovely family for creating this precious gem, five stars all the way.Maureen Jones Sunderland10/10 highest rating

What a fantastic place, lovely setting, great looking building. Rooms are very nicely decorated, very comfortable and quiet.Friendly staff and a breakfast which is up there with one of the best ive ever had. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Chris & crew at the Stables are fantastic.Rooms are really nicely done, with really comfortable beds. Breakfasts set you up nicely for the day. Stayed 4 times now on business & it never disappoints. No evening meal but some nice pubs not far away.
