Locavore dishes and house-cured meats in a charming, converted stable building with old-world decor.
Came for a drink and little bite to eat on a Tuesday night, great ambience, Bart staff seemed a bit rushed even though it wasn’t hectic. I feel they could of been a little more relaxed but I’m from Margaret river so everything’s more cruiser down south.Ordered crispy squid, fresh and tast and the guy who served me was lovely, attentive and relaxed. Great place! Highly recommend
Im giving 5 stars to The Stables for their bottomless brunch (both their normal gin cocktails version and their special Greece event). Id say this is probably the best value bottomless brunch (and Ive been to many around Perth!Plenty of tasty food, a good selection of decent cocktails, and definitely the best customer service. The staff were very attentive.
Beautiful venue with outstanding food! The service was friendly and helpful and it was a great lunch. Thanks guys I can’t wait to go back to have some more of that amazing food!
Always Love the food drinks and atmosphere but the bookings (not transferablethen phone is off hook if running late is not good service…it’s not professional either.
We booked a Chefs Table Menu for a friends 40th Birthday. The ambiance on a Monday night was quite relaxing, especially after work. The staff were busy and quite aloof. Our starters came in a bit late, then after about 35 minutes, the mains came out. The meals were great, we particularly loved their Kale salad, and pesto gnocchi. The slow cooked lamb leg/shank was very soft and warm, perfect for the winter weather. Though we wished there were more sauce or gravy added to them. Overall a pleasant experience, the only thing was the food delay as well as the leak from the roof that leaked straight on my side of the table. We told the staff but they didnt really do anything about it. Good thing they had a vase with flowers, so we just used that as a bucket to collect the dripping rainwater from above. Also wished that the staff would smile more often.
Aesthetically this place is awesome, love the brick, plants and lighting. Drinks are good, however the place needs to turn the volume down, its obnoxiously loud. All in all though, great little place.
Cozy even on a cold day. Picked the first four items off the entree menu and it was heaps of food for two. Chicken bites were the favourite
Super friendly staff, the service was great. Going on a Monday for lunch I was suprised by how empty it was. I highly recommend the pork belly as it was FANTASTIC!!!! I loved it, soooo good! With a great range of local craft beer on tap as well as packaged you should be able to find something that you like.
Excellent service and amazing food. We will be back, Pork Belly delicious.
Pretty disappointing. I gave it 4 stars. It was better than three. But it’s a completely different place from a year ago when it was sensational.Sadly cannot be raved about any more
We went there for drinks yesterday and were very deceived. The espresso martini’s were good, but we waited 15-20 mins for each round of drinks (cocktails), despite the place being more on the empty side, with a lot of free tables and seats. There were 2 bartenders who looked like complete beginners and took for ever to make the cocktails. The place looked nice and they had gas warmers out. The blasting music on the other hand was really bothering, way too loud. We could barely hear ourselves talking and left quickly after our second round of drinks. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
My hubby and I dined at The Stables for his birthday. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Always a pleasure dining here.
Nice bar.
Went to stables for the bottomless botanicals lunch. It was less organised than shopping on Christmas Eve.2hr lunch, first drinks was over 30mins in, we didn’t get in for 15 minutes.Food came in the last 45 minutes and you couldn’t get a drink unless you were a female. We paid for a three course meal, never got three courses. What a stitch up.If I could give a zero, I would.
Service is amazing! Luca went over and beyond to ensure we found a table and were having a good time. The food is delicious and the overall atmosphere of the bar is buzzing! Definitely check it out!
A must visit when Im in Perth. Great food.Lucky for me Im here to enjoy Taco Tuesday. $8 tacos. Sampled the barramundi and chicken kraage to start with. Barramundi worth a repeat followed by the slow cooked lamb taco but this was $10...no complaints though, worth it for the deliciousness.Im sure the pork taco was equally delicious....unfortunately no more room in my stomach!
A lot of restaurants - often very good ones - are drowning in staff who run round doing not very much. Bumping into each other, looking busy. I came here on a genuinely busy evening; 40 or 50 people in for dinner. 1 amazing barman. 1 amazing waiter. All over it. So refreshing to see these guys at work. Delicious food. Great atmosphere and brilliant service. Cheers.
We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Stables bar for a baby shower. We opted for the Bottomless Botanicals option. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Our glasses were topped up regularly (this is rare at events such as these). The food was also very delicious and of good quality. We will definitely return. I wish I could remember the name of the female waitress who served us, she was fantastic.
Have just been told by staff that there is a newrule that assistance dogs are no longer allowedinto the bar (even the outside area). For a bar that was (alldog friendly last week to one thatnow ignores the law on assistance animals I offeryou one star because there is no option for nil stars.
Nice bar. Good beer selection (perhaps better choice of cider needed but...)and food great.Dog friendly and staff wonderful. (dog thanks them for the leftoverfood snacks).
We attended the Bottomless Botanicals yesterday for a friends 40th and unfortunately will not return for it. The music was so loud it felt like we were in a nightclub. Our table of 6 were unable to have a decent conversation because we simply could not hear each other. We asked for the music to be turned down several times but it always went back up. Im sure the staff found it incredibly frustrating having to repeat themselves every time they approached our table but with the masks and the music it was impossible to hear them. The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. The drinks were definitely free flowing which we appreciated. The choices for the gin cocktails were are very sweet though. It would have nice to have an option on the menu for one that wasnt. In saying that, when we talked to a staff member about that they were great and arranged for a different one to be made for us. Our whole group questioned how much gin was in the cocktails because after 2 hours of endless drinks, we all walked out feeling like wed be drinking water the entire time.
I was at a business meeting at The Stables today; we had a room in the basement, which is a fantastic private room for the 20 odd people we were. There was a menu with choices for each course. The food was excellent, something you would expect more in a fine dining restaurant; modern, simple and very well presented. But, the thing that amazed me was the team. They provided a very professional service and worked together to ensure the table was served again like in a five start hotel. All is well orchestrated and above the standard you get in more expensive places. Very Well Done Stables Team! Thank you for a great experience.
What a fantastic venue! The food was beautiful and the staff were so lovely took care of everything we needed for the night especially Shaun, if your after a good cocktail go and see him they were phenomenal all night definitely going back again 😁
A huge thank you to Lucca & staff for a fantastic time. What was to be a quick lunchwith our & son and his girlfriend while on the Urban Wine Walk turned into a long lunch with friends. We were all made to feel so welcome, the food and service was amazing.A great example of what hospitality should be about but we dont often see at other venues.
We hosted my husbands 40th Birthday celebration here in the Basement, and had the best time. The staff were very attentive and kind. All our friends remarked on what a great venue it was, how tasty the food was and what a beautiful room it was. Loved it!
Lunch bottomless $75 package.🍸Gave it the 2 rating based on the lack of flavour with food, unorganised on serving and timing. The staff are kind but looked overwhelmed and confused. We had to consistently put our arms up to get waiters attention to request for drinks and for our food beside dessert. There was lack in flavour when it came to the food beside the cous cous salad. Ive paid cheaper for bottomless and been surprised with service and magnificent dishes.
Ordered: Salmon, Pork Belly, Gnocchi, Fried Chicken & a side of chips.Everything was delicious except the fried chicken couldve been better. It was lacking in a bit of flavour and probably salt. Would definitely come back though. We did go on a Friday night so it was fully booked and quite loud. The only other thing to mention is the restaurant is upstairs - there were no signs when we got there so was a bit confusing as downstairs is the bar area.
Great venue and friendly staff. Outdoor sitting area was pleasant if not a bit too loud. If you are thinking about meeting a group there consider this....it is not conducive to table conversation. You cant hear anything.Food was ok. To be honest, food was average and it is actually quite expensive so you would think it would be a little higher quality. The wait staff were friendly, sometimes the male staff were a bit too friendly acting a bit "bufoonish" around the girls at the table who ended up stating they wished "that guy would rack off". A little show boaty, perhaps older women would love it.Great place for a loud drinky event....not good for a social gathering that requires multiple people to talk and socialise over a meal.
Shared a really great meal on a busy, a little loud, Saturday night. Service was prompt and professional. Food was 8/10 and a meat foodies delight. I recommend the grill barramundi.
Stables is pretty nice vibe, nice decor and good music. However, tried to get in at 10.55pm and stated by a rather rude bouncer an 11pm lockout. Even though 5min before lockout (not sure why there is a lockout, as it wasn’t busysurely should let people in.
The restaurant is very nice and the service staff is amazing. One of the best I have experienced so far in Perth. So keen to details, polite and friendly. The food is outstanding from start to finish. I have nothing but praise about this place. I was there for a staff Christmas lunch and everything was great :well done and keep up the great work!
I recently hosted my 30th birthday at Stables Bar and I couldnt fault the service. I worked closely with Mia, the events and function manager, who made the entire process so seamless and stress-free. The staff on the night were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious and the drinks were poured quickly. Highly recommend!
We attended the Bottomless Botanicals yesterday. The service was impeccable and our servers were consistently on the ball topping up our champagne, taking our cocktail orders and making sure everything was okay. The food was delicious, our drinks were perfect and the decor and atmosphere was also beautiful and welcoming. Highly recommended.
Music was loud, food tasted good but unfortunately that’s where it stops the service was sparse and extremely slow. A lot of staff walking around and only 2 at the bar. Wait times were too long
Had an absolutely beautiful meal here and the cocktails were amazing. Cannot fault the staff and the attention they gave. They were approachable and friendly and a credit to themselves and management. Highly recommend this place and we will be back.
Absolutely loved dinner here! What a hidden gem!Outstanding service, amazing space - I let Luca choose our entire menu and wine for the night and his service was second to none!Anyone looking for a bespoke evening or a fun drink should hit this place up!Great live music fantastic ambience!
Went for the "dine in the dark" expedience here. It was so romantic and lovely. The food was so good. Very friendly staff. Dinner was in candle lights. Blindfold to use if you wanted to. Couple right behind us proposed to his partner at the end, which was amazing to see it happen live. I liked everything about the place. Just the tables were set up too close to each other, would have been better if had more room in between. Generally, let very happy.
Went to The Stables for Dining in the Dark and had an excellent time. Food and service were fantastic, staff were really friendly. Highly recommend
Attended "dining in the dark". Atmosphere was so lovely and welcoming. Staff were super friendly and very helpful when it comes to finding your drinks on the table!Food was very nice tasting. Cant say I know what it looked like but I assume it was well presented haha.Overall very nice dinner especially for something different. Highly recommended both the dining experience and the host venue.
A small bar tucked away in a alley in Perth that proved to be a hiddem gem. We attended "Dine in the Dark" event in which we were treated to a 3 course meal far exceeding the price we payed. Our table was waiting on by Esther who was genuine, up beat and a genuine pleasure to be around. I highly reccomend it for any event or casual drink, it caters to both crowds brilliantly! Stay awsome guys!
Great place for drinks and maybe a feed. Even though there’s plenty of room with an upstairs that’s just as large as downstairs (inside and outthe after work rush can make it pretty packed (when there were no restrictionsbut it makes for an enjoyable atmosphere.Staff are always awesome especially the front cafe staff in the mornings! Great team, great coffee!Yet to attend an event for LIVE at the basement but the area seems like it would be very enjoyable and intimate with the performers.
The venue is great, old historical building with nice ambiance. Feels a bit upscale.Outside it can be a bit loud sometimes, but it was pretty busy when we where there too.We only ordered a snack, the Mac and cheese croquettes, but they were delicious!Food menu looks excellent too with lots of interesting options. It is rather expensive, but I can’t judge the price/ qualify factor. We will need to come back for some real dinner I guess !
An awesome 2019 End of Year celebration with my project team was made possible by The Stables. We were about 30 min. late for our reservation, thanks to the traffic. And while we couldnt get through to let them know, our table was still there, waiting for us! We really appreciate this special treatment and for receiving very friendly and prompt service. Love the ambience and selection of food and drinks. Great music, too! Highly recommended.
If you’re a cocktail person, you’d not wanna miss out on this place. Tried 4 different types if cocktails and not a single one disappointed. Will defo go there again to try the remaining. :D
All I can say is wow. My girlfriend chose this place after discovering on Instagram. It was difficult to choose what to eat as the menu items all looked so delicious. I ended up eating the herb, truffle and ricotta gnocchi and it was one of the best pastas Ive eaten (and Ive eaten a lot of pasta in my lifetime). My friend and I also shared some Mac and cheese croquettes. Very delicious. From what I saw on the rest of my companies plates, every thing looked amazing. The handcrafted cut chips were also 👌👌.The staff were very friendly. The Stables bar comes highly recommended.
Really great place. Food is fairly fast for the quality you get. Tasty af. I had the sliders and chips and they were epic. The staff were super friendly, and they have a good memory with orders. Table of 6, and everyone thought their food was epic.Good find as a first place to eat when visiting perth.
Caught up with my ex-workmates @TheStablesBar for a quiz night. We ordered the share plates which have crispy chicken wings, crunchy crackling with perfect amount of salt and succulent pork belly, tasty arancini balls, and delicious cheeseburger sliders. These mac and cheese croquettes were super crunchy on the outside, soft gooey cheesy pasta on the inside. What a wonderful old building with lots of character. Had dinner with large group of friends. Great food and atmosphere. Can be noisy downstairs but much quieter upstairs. Quite a large range of food offered. Chicken salad was amazing.
The service was prompt, got served almost immediately after being seated. The meal came in under 25 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant. The lamb rump was tender and tasty with a hint of morracon like spice, served with fresh tasting zucchini and fennel salad. The beef brisket burger was also very tasty. Other items on the menu also looked interestin. Would come back again to try some of them out.
A trendy place in Perth. The staff were quick and friendly and the Cocktails were tasty. Very nice ambiente and good for some afterwork drinks or a catch up with friends. Will definitely be back.
