Booked a table on Thursday 29/9/22 and can honestly say the best pub food weve ever had, generous portions and absolutely faultless, and very reasonable prices,I had the steak and ale pie and will be back for another and will definitely book for Christmas menu, the waitress was very friendly and good at her job and when she told me that the chef did all the meals on his own I was amazed because colin the chef is a rare find you can see why the restaurant area always full so advisable to book first but you certainly wont be disappointed with the quality of food and service, top notch made a perfect evening

Great selection of gluten free meals. Had the Sunday roast and very much enjoyed it!

There is always a warm welcome from the staff at this cosy traditional pub.Living abroad, we only call in these days when visiting friends and family but it is the place we head for to meet up as the place is well run with a friendly atmosphere and the food & drink offering is of a good quality

Always a pleasure to pop in here on my Sunday walk. Fantastic staff and service, they always remember my drink which is really nice. And weve started to discuss which books were all reading which is nice too.

Ive been going to the Spotted Cow for years. Ive never had a bad pint or a bad meal, friendly staff too.

Called today just before they stopped serving food. We were made very welcome and had an excellent meal. Lovely, friendly staff, good quality food and fair prices. What more could you ask for ?

We went to the spotted cow Saturday 11th June myself and 3 friends we meet up every couple of weeks and fancied a change Dawn booked a table.from going in to leaving staff were so friendly and helpful.The food was great and will definitely be going back.

Amazing home cooked food and a good variety on the menu. They ways have specials on as well. They offer gluten free options (starters, mains and desserts!). The onion rings are out of this world and huge! The cheesecakes are devine! All meals are reasonably priced too. There is one particular member of staff (blond hairwho serves us and she makes the dining experience so much more enjoyable! She is so kind and really looks after the customers.Here are some of the meals weve had (all shown are Gluten Free)....

Lovely pub, good parking & prices seem fair. Nice to sit outside & if its cool they have several tool sheds they use as sheltered tables.... Great idea.

My first visit to the Spotted cow in years - it has been done out well, the staff are very friendly and I was impressed with the food. A good choice of real ales and dog friendly...

Went here for a friends birthday meal.Was 10 of us in total the server was tremendous,she had great banter with brother in law .My starter and main was lovely washed down with a few pints of well kept Timothy Taylor bitter,everyone else meals were also top notch ,portion size was good.Will definitely call back in when in the area.Well done to all the staff a great meal at a great pub.

Although fully booked in therestaurant they found a place in the lounge for us. Great food and atmosphere.

Wow this is the first time here and I do have to say I was well impressed. my wife and I went to meet friends for a meal. Im a celiac (gluten freethere was plenty to choose from on the menu, now that makes me feel better for a start. We had the special ! steak ! mmmmm with home made chips very nice indeed and there was also a choice of dessert. I had cheese cake with ice cream, also very nice. The staff had a great Yorkshire sense of humour .....lotty .... made the night go with a laugh. Thanks to all for a great night.

Havent been in here for years but oh my goodness what lovely food. The menu was varied so hard to choose. We had ploughmans and fish and chips both delicious and fresh. The scotch eggs on the ploughmans were so light and tasty.Am sure well be back!

Been here for a meal with a good friend over the past 12 months, the staff are just great & very helpful, and the food is out of this world, especially the fish & chips.You are spoilt for choice on the menu.And the portions are large. Highly recommended.

We have been here for food a few times now and it’s absolutely beautiful! All freshly made! The staff are all so welcoming and helpful. Today we went for Sunday dinner for the first time and all I can say is ‘WOW’ it was delicious! Perfect Sunday! I already can’t wait for next time. 10/10 food and service!

At short notice with my daughter and granddaughter 2 years we booked a table at the spotted cow for lunch. We had a lovely experience, the food was excellent and our waitress Lottle was second to non. She made us very welcome and she was very attentive throughout our stay. I loved my slimline tonic being served in a gin glass with a stem, it made it special. We will be back - thank you 🙏

We go here regularly. All the food is freshly cooked to order and is top notch everytime. The prices are really good and the portion sizes very generous. A genuine lovely pub with great food.

Always pleasant for a drink and a meal. The Bar staff are a friendly happy bunch. Id recommend this place to any of my friends.

Slow service for the number of customers inside, however the wedding party outside may have been the reason. The food when it came was very good and plentiful. Decent choice of real ale too.

Great pub food at a reasonable price. The staff are cheerful and welcoming and very attentive to your needs. Good selection of drinks to tempt you at the bar too.

Really helpful service in our time of need although under the presant restrictions we held a funeral wake outside in the marquee. The food was more than we could of wished for and service was professional throughout Big thank you to George and the staff from myself and family

Under the current circumstances we didnt have too many wait long to be seated. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The atmosphere was great. We only had chips with our drinks, which were OK. We werent under pressure to leave of other customers. Well managed pub.

Called on a whim, really glad we found The spotted cow. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Good varied menu with something to suit all. We had the burger and Turkey baguette. Side of chips was also ordered as an add on to the baguette. Food, was hot very tasty. The turkey just melted it was so tender. Burger had lots of flavour and we were really full. Homemade chips were so good. Good food, good prices and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Good beer and good barstaff. Lovely looking pub both inside and out. We also liked the quirky gents toilets! Never seen toilets like that before! Cant comment on the food as we didnt have any,it smelt lovely though. Definitely go again to sample the food next time.

Another mystery Sunday lunch location that did not disappoint. The weather was warm, so we sat out for drinks in the ample outdoor seating area. (Not ideal for young families though), and ate most of our meal inside. The menu is excellently simple, but hey, they have ploughmans lunch to die for, and seriously, when was the last time you saw one of those on a menu?The meals were well presented, ola the chef, and his cheesecake was so light, a culinary crescendo... we will be returning.And thanks to the staff for being so pleasant in a world of TV promoted selfishness...
