The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill - Sports bar in Kwinana, Australia
Large range of beers on tap, you should be able to find one you like. large venue with great views if your outside.
I love this place, the quality of the food is good and the location is perfect BUT every time I visit they forget someones meal. Even when its not busy, someone at the table will not receive their meal. Every time. After using it for work functions Im going to give this place a miss.
Was just there tonight with my friends. Had an issue with our food order in the kitchen. Raised the issue with Dave the manager. I must say he is an absolute gentleman and very professional. Being in hospitality myself, you dont find many well mannered people like him managing venues. Keep it up 👌🏻
Excellent atmosphere and service. The bar manager Matty(tall, good looking, lean physiquecouldnt do enough for us!
Came to The Sporting Globe x 4 Pines for the first time yesterday. Incredibly happy with my experience. Booking was placed in a great spot to watch the Formula 1 as per my request - with a separate booking with someone that I know accommodated for, with their booking right next to ours. Very large menu and food was great, fantastic tap selection and great specials on a Sunday. Incredibly satisfied, highly recommended.
Great Bar.Good food.Kitchen couldnt get table orders out for all of the table.Wait staff did their best.Kept a smile and sence of humour in the situation.Crazy seagulls attacking left overs so that was entertaining
Carlos is the best bartender in the building. Apologetic for extended delays on food and compensated us for the long wait. 4 stars for Carlos and -1 for ridiculous wait. Would come again if Carlos is working.
I came here on a Friday afternoon. The drinks were fine but we ordered lunch as well. The wait for food was just under two hours for us and it came out cold. The food was decent but definitely not worth the wait and not a step above the other bars in the area. It was raining on the day so the bar was relatively quiet (half-empty).It is a shame because I come here often for drinks. I definitely wont be coming back here again if Im after a pub lunch.
I had lunch with my family on Monday. Food was excellent, price was very reasonable, plenty of room for seating and very friendly staff. Best meal we had in Sydney during our holiday.Thank you team.Keep up the good work.
Smart bar on Darling Harbour front. They brew their own choice of half a dozen or so ales, of which Ive had a few. The Czech style lager was pretty good, takes me back to my days spent in Prague. I hope Arnie hasnt got a copyright on it, but, Ill be back. Sorry.
Great place on Darling Harbour to sit, have a few drinks, a good feed and watch the Cats beat the Pies in a Qualifying Final!!!
Great place for excellent beers, unfortunately the food was disappointing - had the pork ribs and chicken pieces- both were ridiculously dry - definitely not cooked on that day. My wife had the calamari salad - calamari was dry and the salad woeful - nothing like the picture in the menu. The manager was 1st class - he refunded the $50 for the ribs and gave my wife and I a round of drinks Would return for the 4 pines beer but would never dine in this place ever again.Prime spot for meeting family and friends for drinks but let down dramatically by the quality of the food presented.
Honestly, sporting globe in Ballarat is 5 stars and maybe my favourite bar Ive been to... Sydney one is no a 5 star bar....Why? Because there is no understanding of sport, in VIC every single sport is represented and the staff know exactly whats going on and when big games are happening. Here, its NRL on every single TV and zero idea about whats happening in the world of sport... when asking about other sports the staff generally have no idea and take ages to switch a TV over... We couldnt even get the Sydney kings on in the NBL grand final. The fact in Sydney sporting globe didnt even know it was on showed me exactly what I needed to know... The food and drink is still great but the staff need to be educated in sport, or live sport to work at this place, this really needs to be fixed. You go to this bar to see sport not just rugby league. This is a larger issue with NSW as a whole, we dont get sport but at least at the globe Id expect more. Still solid but honestly your local is no different for showing sport....
Awesome pub with a wide variety of cold beer on tap.Has a large capacity, so there is almost always somewhere to squeeze in regardless of group size for impromptu beverages.Food is high quality and the atmosphere is welcoming for casual drinks after work.
Ordered the rib eye with chips and salad, along with 4 Pines pint. The rib eye was not worth $50 or ordering at all. I ordered medium with mushroom sauce. The steak was small around 250g, and was cooked to well done, grey and dry. It felt like it had been cooked before and reheated. Mushroom sauce was not worth ordering either. Disappointing experience even for pub standards.Things I liked were lots of TVs with sport on, the affordable beer, chips and salad were ok.
Had the buffalo chicken burger and the large boneless chicken bites. The buffalo chicken burger tasted decent. Nice flavours in general and chicken was moist. The boneless chicken bites had a mushy texture. I do like fried chicken but the taste and texture of this batch was not right (I’m hoping it was just the flavour I chose (Korean fire glaze). Also, the chicken took over an hour to arrive. Score would have been a three, however as the staff were super nice and acknowledged the delay…. plus it was during lunch service (I’ll cut some slack). Therefore, I have bumped my score to four.
Ive visited this venue mainly with the Midnight Runners on Wednesday nights, and found it to have plenty of open space indoors & out, consistently good & quick pub food, happy-hour pints of any tap beer, nice selection of taps and plentiful & friendly bar staff. Only downside is the 9PM closing Sun-Wed, but maybe thats a temporary limitation; other nights its open much later.
Such a great experience with Antonio and the team at The Sporting Globe x 4 Pines. I recently booked a corporate function and Antonio showed extreme care in communicating and supporting the booking/organising process. The staff supporting the event on the night were also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others and will be using the venue again in the future. Thank you again to Antonio and the team!
Great spot/ location, loved the ambiance. My reason for the score of 3 was due to one staff member coming to our table and yelling at us about the amount of cocktails ordered, there were 4 of us and we each ordered 2 each, problem was one of the patrons on our table was having internet problems and it doubled her order, ok a mistake but the way it was handled was very dissapointing, perhaps some re training on people skills as he spoke over the top of her and wouldnt listen to her problem, just kept yelling that we had ordered too many cocktails!!
Do not waste your time coming here unless you want to have a mid life crisis listening to the entertainment that does not enable consumers to hear one another over a meal. The business needs to decide whether or not they are going to be a sports bar for 18 and over or a steakhouse restaurant.Food - I would love to comment on this however we are still currently waiting on a meal that was ordered over 1.5hrs ago.Staff and. Management are poor communicators with no customer service skills and are better off selling hotdogs at a rural carnival.Another update to come after entertaining the quality of the meal....if they come out tonight.
Update: 4Pines beers now hereGood selection of beers.Great area out the back which usually empty and the kids can move about a bit without upsetting anyone.(Update“All Hands” brewing adds some more beers to the Red Tape selection! The area out the back is smaller than it was, and the snug is gone but still heaps of roomHey $7.50 pints of in house brews too!
First time - Amazing place in Darling Harbour to have a drink and see the sport games.Second time - The security said that do not have any table available, even when i could see that there were many tables available from outside. I booked by the website and after 30 minutes I got the table and I found many other free tables that were not reserved. This was the worst treatment, lies and this was disrespectful in my view.
Its a fine establishment. Great venue for work events and a nice selection of beers. Good range of bites to nibble on while you drink, and a great location between darling Harbour and the rocks.
Honestly, this place has a great social atmosphere. The staff were super nice, and rhe drinks were really good too. Came her with a friend to try out, and we had so much fun! The place looks really cool once you step inside. Highly recommend!
My first time there, so I approached some bar staff to ask questions about where and how to order, and they turned their backs and walked away, said they’re doing other things and were in no mood to help or welcome us. I ordered food, and there were a couple of items missing when it all came out. I asked and followed up on the missing dishes, to which I was asked by staff “are you sure you ordered that?” When the girl taking my order had repeated the order to me. I had ordered these items, and was told someone would check. 15 minutes later, the items still hadn’t come. I asked about the Birria sauce that’s supposed to come with the nachos to pour over. I was told someone would check and after the 5th time of asking, the manager comes out and says to me “what’s the problem?” I politely said, oh no problem, just waiting on my Birria sauce before we can start eating the nachos and they are now cold. He was so smug and rude and sarcastic even though I was being polite and respectful. They ended up bringing it out, but in the meantime a bar staff member walked past and swiped our empty soft drink jug without asking anything. This was a free refill jug and we wanted more soft drink so I again had to get up and ask for them to return the jug so we can refill it. When leaving, nobody even looked at us, we got smug dirty looks from staff and had been nothing but polite the whole time. Really horrible service and attitude, disappointing as I have been wanting to try this place for ages and the food was actually decent. It wasn’t even busy? Really poor ….
I had a booking here, I repeatedly told the security guard at the front I had a booking under my name but would refuse me as my pants had a small logo on it saying adidas. He said he would speak to the manager but didn’t do anything for a few minutes, he then told me I could go in and try and find a table without him even bothering to talk to other staff. I eventually found my table with my name on it. On top of that they had limited food and no steak, I myself have a wheat allergy so basically the whole menu was useless to me. Left after 5 minutes. I’m sure it’s a nice place but the security was so rude for no apparent reason and no staff reached out to help me. Hire better security please who aren’t rude and unhelpful.
We stopped in to try and watch the NRL game. We were told to sit anywhere without reserved sign. We did and the group near us was so big we felt in the way and moved. We finally ask to sit on the end of a large table that only had a couple of people left, we were then rudely told the table was reserved and to move. We also found it strange that it was a sports bar but had a DJ and load music. We ended up leaving at half time to watch the game back in the hotel.
Worst Experience…We went there to have a drink but before entering we were asked what kind of drink are we drinking, is it either black label or what…He was laughing and asking rubbish questions…Because we were Asian that’s why? I still can’t believe this. He was an Asian too but he was treating us badly… He told us to wait outside for 10-15 minutes but he was allowing other people(with no reservationto enter…This is disgusting… Racism shouldn’t exist…
Well Im a little disappointed with this iconic place. Bought tickets online then waited an hour in line to get tickets. In all honesty they were very understaffed. I did however like that the staff were very helpful and polite. I do like that you can just go in for a walk around, but if you wanted to get food or drinks you need to get food voucher. It can become very pricey. But I think Luna Park is one of those places you go every 5 years or so.
If you can get past the rowdy sports bar atmosphere from patrons - the food, staff and overall quality of this establishment is amazing. We ordered a heap of different things to try and everything came out quick, hot and delicious. Staff were very nice and helped us when ever we needed anything especially the older gentlemen who seated us and served us. The security at the door was an absolute jerk to us and customers in line but i didn’t let that reflect poorly on the actual restaurant as our experience was amazing once we were in.
If I could give 0 stars I would! the short security guard with beard and nose piercing was extremely rude! Looked us up and down and accused us of being intoxicated! Mind you we had 0 drinks!!He was yelling at us telling us to go eat something before we go in! Even after we calmly explained that we were perfectly sober! Honestly very disappointed, my friends and I left but we should have stayed and demanded an apology. NEVER coming back here ever
$4.20 for a small glass of soda water out of the gun. $49 for good ribs and tough chewy chicken wing. Great location lots of big screens to watch sport.
Service was great, we were seated quickly with our reservation and enjoyed the convenience of being able to order electronically from our table at anytime that suited us.Food and drink delivery was surprisingly prompt especially considering it was a busy Saturday night.Food was delicious and I look forward to visiting again soon. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is also great due to seating and not feeling claustrophobic amongst others
Food wait was way too long even I saw people who are way earlier than us get their food at the same time as ours which also taken them another 30 mins for us. It would have been at least a decent experience if the food was good. We order only this yummy looking nachos but dont be fooled, its way too salty to eat without sipping water every two bites. Our tables were never cleaned although we have requested the staff to help us clean. Funny enough, they cleaned the table next to us instead. Staff were never check on us or no host was present when we walked in the bar. Really understand the understaffed situation, but at least it would be nice to have someone update us once about our order.I really dont know what to make with this experience, we came expecting great service and food but left utterly disappointed.
The venue itself is a really nice venue. If youre coming for a few drinks with the boys or gals this place is good for it.The staff were all nice and welcoming. When it came to food it was all nice except for my steak.I ordered the black Angus rump medium and it came out well-done.I told one of the staff and he got the chef to cook me another steak this time really medium. But it came out even more charred and well-done than the previous steak. Told the staff member and he refunded me which was nice.So my conclusion is its a nice place for drinks but dont get the steaks, the chef doesnt know how to cook steaks.
Went on a Wednesday when they had $8.90 pints, $5 spirits and schnitzel specials. We had VIP Parma and some wings as well as a few different Keller door pints. Everything was great.
Went to King St Wharf Sporting Globe. Plenty of seating. Good location. Good price from 3pm on a Saturday for the winter warmers menu ($10 each item). Ordering was easy and came out quickly. I had the mac n cheese balls. Food was OK, perhaps I shoulder have returned and tried something else. Typical American food. Kids would like these foods. My friend had the pulled pork burgers which she said were delicious. I would recommend.
Wasnt sure how itd be after rebranding away from All Hands Brewery, but the "beer first" approach seems like its still there with the full 4 pines range and Keller Door specials all on tap. Good to see theres still competition with Beer Deluxe at the other end of the wharf, and great food to go with the beers.
Wow, amazing specials during the week. I got the burger and beer combo on Wednesday for $15.90, what a steal, the burger was great, and the tap beer (4 pines refreshing aleI had was fresh and quenched my thirst - a great combo with the plant based Burger (which I had with normal cheese and normal bun). Ill be back to try the rest of their beers and food.Went back a week later, and still awesome. Had two of the Keller door beers (I loved the N.E.I.P.A). Great selection of beers on tapWent back Mar-21, tried the chicken crunch burger (with charcoal bun), and it is unique and one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time. The tropical IPA was pretty good, but the summer ale was awesome.
Nice finding in Darling Harbour. Happy and friendly environment. Live music. Massive space and a good variety of tap beers! Do not leave the place without to tasting the 4 Pines Wood Duck Nitro Cream Ale!!
Fun sports bar on Darling Harbour with some decent tap beer options and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The back area tables have screens where you can watch sports or highlight videos, plus you’ll often catch live music at this venue. The food here is really good, including some impressive vegan options. It’s Darling Harbour prices but not as expensive as some restaurants. For a casual meal or catch up with friends, this is my place of choice on the water.
This place definitely has a lot to love. No frills, no non-sense venue with lots of beer options. 4 Pines brewery on site which for us is a big draw. Came on a Monday and there were half-priced pints and wings/ribs. Certainly cant beat for value.Wings were outstanding and so were the ribs, except the ribs portion was very small. We would not have been happy with 4 ribs when the menu indicates a half-rack. But for half price we didnt want to make a fuss.Would come back on other days to try their other specials.
If you want the freshest beer you can get in Sydney, this is the place. They brew beer in the venue! Really enjoyed drinking IPA and munching on the crispy shoestring fries. IPA was fresh, creamy and the spices took me to India. Fantastic place to have a few coldies and I give this place 4 bears
All hands have a great selection of drinks. Almost too confusing for my simple minded girlfriend. None the less, you can be confident that whatever your choosing, you’ll be happy with it! A mix of beer, wine, and cocktails were ordered and all of them were delicious!Bit of a busy venue, but what can you expect with such a great location!Would reccomend to friends and family and will be back next time I’m in the area! :)
A delayed review:Overall, I had really great time at the Boilmakers Dinner at All Hands Brewing House. The pub grub was very tasty and I enjoyed the pairings with the beer and whiskey. It was a great atmosphere and I would highly recommend you checking it out.Its definitely a fun and different experience compared to your average Wednesday night.
Based on the beer and very polite bar staff alone 5 stars!Great range of beers and an exceptional IPA, the hump day is delicious.Bar staff very friendly and have a great knowledge of all beers on tap. Will definitely visit again!Did not try food.
We had a brilliant time at the quiz night hosted at All Hands! Plenty of beer to choose from and delicious food to accompany it. Super friendly service and one of the best places to grab a casual, affordable drink on darling harbour - do yourself a favour and pop in for a drink
This place has all the ingredients of a nice brewpub, but fail some pretty essential tests. Service is pretty poor. I was there on a quiet Wednesday night and hardly got any attention from the service staff. I ordered an entree, main and two sides and they all came out at the same time after a 25 minute wait forcing me to choose between having a cold entree or a cold main. When finished I had to chase down a waiter to pay because no one came to my table for over 15 minutes after I was finished. The smoked beef brisket was tasteless, fatty and served in a small portion. Buffalo wings were dry (but buffalo sauce was awesomeand the half lettuce was drenched in oil. Beer was okay. I really wanted to like this place but couldn’t bring myself to giving it any more than 2 stars.
What a great brewpub & so big! They do lots of their own brews of all different styles and occasionally add small batch brews to the selection. Actually a great place to watch sport as they have a huge back room with big screen. Worth getting a paddle @$18 to sample some of their beers. Food is also great, especially the burgers. They will also typically have a special on that the chef is experimenting with. One of my new favorites!!
Visited All Hands Brewing house with my whole team for a coworkers going away lunch, its a nice place right near the water with views of the surrounding boats. The service was nice and friendly forgot his name but he was very welcoming even providing us recommendations on what to get and try. Only thing I didnt like was the fish and chips they were pretty bland not much flavor at all. The sweet potato dish was literally a sweet potato but the burger was great! So I totally recommend the burgers here. The beer was ice cold which was absolutely delicious! All in all we enjoyed our stay here and might consider another lunch at All Hands Brewing House in the near future.
