The Southbank Bar - Nottingham City - Sports bar in Nottingham, United Kingdom
Great atmosphere and super staff. These guys know how to treat the customer.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Really enjoyed myself.
Loved the match day ambience.Good beer, service was nice, and food was great as well.Food was a bit delayed, but then it was a match day and full house so understandable.
Good beers on tap. Table service was good and lots of TVs to watch Sport
A really cool place to visit!
Good food staff very helpful
Nice selection of drinks. Pleasant staff. And evenings have great bands.
Solid Pub, great if you want to keep up with the scores on a Saturday, show games. A bit over the norm for drinks. expect to pay 30-40p more.
I am here every week specially on Wednesdays here and i love it here. All the staff are really nice.
Work meal last night. Excellent food and service. Thanks to our waiter, we did not get his name but from Doncaster. Great people skills and very attentive. Will definitely be back.
Met Son here. Was unsure but turned out to be very pleasant. Worth a visit.
Had great night the band smashed it ,great music
Not a bad place, but drinks are expensive.
Excellent management excellent customer service the very best.
A night with Leigh Woods - It was a fantastic night, the bar staff were great and the venue was plentiful. Thank you to the owners for hosting.
The food was fantastic, the place needs a refurbishment as its looking a bit dated and worn, the booths have small tvs in the wall, so you can watch whatever they have playing, a nice little touch.
Watched the 2022 play off final here. It was definitely the next best place to be if you couldnt get to Wembley.
Bar staff excellent, drinks abit pricey but thats ok. Door staff really let this place down though
Had a great evening in here with live music .....
Yes I would recommend going here music good dance floor great on a night out
Great night socializing good beer and quick bar staff
Great music great atmosphere just prices are a little high
Lovely pub good music. Great atmosphere. Not expensive.
Friendly service. Offered a replacement for food not available. Quantities were large and very satisfying. Throughly recommended.😊😊
Great food and atmosphere. Drinks a little pricey and not disabled friendly. Comfy booths
Great for sport. if u have a free Guinness its not a bad option
Excellent night,Bon Giovi Band ,dined in the 98 club beforehand and the food was superb,I love this venue ,every time I visit it manages to create good feelings and great memories, thank you Southbank 👍
Great sports bar, nice food and drink and a cracking atmosphere 👌
St Patricks Day, very busy but good service, excellent music and a great atmosphere
What a brilliant St Patricks Day at this bar, the management have got it right, no queueing to get served, very polite bar staff and plenty of them to cope with the volume of customers thank you for a great day ,,,,
Drink are one of the better ones in nottz, overall design looks nice with plenty of space.Only downside is its £2 pool table per game 😅
little pricey on drinks but good student prices on food. also one of the better sports bars in notts
Great for watching sport, however they must have a tie up with Sky, as both F.A. Cup games were on a few TVs and just analysis from Sky on big screen. After seating us in front of the big screen. Bar staff also need to top up pints, far too many pints with frothy head, and below pint measure. Soon adds up at £5 per pint
We went to see the Abba tribute band and had turkey dinner. Perhaps too many drinks. But a good time was had by all.
Great bar, amazing cocktails, live music
Visited Southbank on a few occasions. The happy hour deals are decent but their standard prices are pretty expensive especially Magners. There are a couple of members of staff who have attitude problems and make you feel unwelcome. Good for watching sports though.
Plus points- The band (The Moneywere amazing and the staff are really friendly.Down side - the general music level was far too loud, we were sat right under a speaker, and the food was poor - my burger was almost cremated and the chips were cold, and hardly and gluten free choices.I dont think Id go again.
Went to see Billy Joel Tribute show. The staff were very friendly, attentive and constantly checking you were getting service in drinks and meal. The atmosphere felt safe and exciting with everyone having a great time. Highly recommend.
Always a warm welcome, attentive staff, plenty of sporting action to choose to watch, food is very good sports bar style food, drinks are reasonably priced, especially during happy hour (3 hours!!🤣
Enjoy the bar and the staff are polite and friendly. I like to sit in their small garden but I find that the loud talkers are back on it. I wouldnt mind so much but theyve only got themselves to talk about and i find them boring. That sitting area needs extending and partitioning. Self indulgent loud mouths one side, and casual talkers the other. No one excluded, just categorised for their own awareness 😂 only messing. Kind of. Love the place.
Good just off city centre bar. Nice open tables and seating.Food menu pretty good. Projection screen for sports events. Slightly over zealous service.
Decent sports bar in an area with quite a few of the same style venues. Good beer selection with a nice layout and vibe.
Perfect bar for students who are looking for an affordable meal with great drinks. Came in on a Saturday and was able to get a table almost straight away despite it being busy.Atmosphere was lively and bar staff were ever so friendly and helpful at providing a high quality and fast service. Was able to get 40% off with my student card and 2-4-1 on cocktails too, which was a bonus.
Very nice fish n chips, the portion fills you good, the sauce is great. And 40% off for students, so I only paid 6£
Just a decent pub, service from staff was excellent so was the food/beer
Love this pub. The artists that they have on are brilliant too! When we went they had 3 men and a box playing, 2 guys with guitars and one sat on a drum box, they were fantastic! Good service at the bar and its a nice pub. Its a bit dark but it all adds to the atmosphere, which is always full of positive vibes and smiles! Found on Friar Lane in a beautiful building, so its a very popular watering hole!
We came here from all over to celebrate a birthday and watch the World Cup final. The service was excellent! Food was decent, but we had a booth reserved and the waitress we had was super friendly (and genuineand attentive so we were very glad we chose to go here. Great atmosphere for the footy too and big screen, along with the booth screens and big screen tvs dotted all around.
Excelent service, the staff was si kind. And this place has a good enviroment for drinking something with your friends and share food. 😎
Great 50% student discount on all food
Absolutely fantastic price and great food! TV screens in the booths are great idea too!Been here 3 times now and 10/10 every time!
