Disappointed. Awful music.

Good place but way to loud no other place is like it, ears ringing for like 3 days

Bouncers are awful and are getting a bit to comfortable with harassing people of colourHorrid treatment, gave it a second chance and still rubbish - won’t be returning

First time clubbing with my friends, £20 to get in and then the venue itself is way too small that it gets so crowded. Awful atmosphere, I recommend zinc pop world up the road instead!!

The bouncers in this venue need to be sacked!Constant harrasment and assault. Cant enjoy your night without bouncers over your shoulders.They are extremely rude and think they own the place! Appart from that the venue its self not to bad.

Best nightclub in Kent! Since moving to London I remember the beginning of my clubbing days at Source Bar and it makes me appreciate the good times I had there - so many good DJs too from Shadow Child to Annie Mac! So many good times, I was living in Gillingham with family but this place was always worth the bus/taxis there and back 😍😆

Decent venue, decent playlist, but only one gripe.Was told by staff when buying my first drink, "ask for the cheaper brand and get the cheaper drink." Did exactly that for my third drink but got charged for the expensive brand. Well jokes on you source. You couldve gotten several drinks out of me for 4 quid each, but youd rather do the quick steal and do one drink for 7. At least I know not to do my drinking here in futureLong story short, if I wanted to be ripped off, I wouldve gone to those swindlers that call themselves B**rk*llerPS, my whole party left soon after that, so joke really is on you

First club I walked into when I first started going clubbing and loved it ever since. Very good variety of music, 3 places to go to for a different mix of music as well. Drinks can be expensive but overall great club would recommend:)

Came to Canterbury to find something new...pure dog.So I miss source as they actually have decent music which isn’t constant pop and chart songs.However, drinks could be cheaper at times I must say.

I love this place and have always come most weeks for a few years . Always got along with the bouncers and staff however a new female door lady has left me never wanting to return due to her rudeness . I understand door staff need to be firm . I also work in a lively venue and see the good work doorstaff do and why there a necessity to our nightlife . But this was such an unpleasant experience . She spoke to me like absolute s**t. She is someone who is clearly taking advantage of the authority she has . BULLY!

Awful place, avoid

Loved the new street food menu (lots to choose fromand great table service down at the Source. For your £5 entry you can choose one course from any of the menu. All my mates loved it too, we will be back again soon for sure. Cheers

Good clubs, always has an array of events and you can always get entry for £1 or for free sometimes, Maidstone locals can be very unpleasant but that isn’t the venue’s fault in my experience here it’s always been a good fun cheerful night and some of our lads get rowdy at times but, music selection is varied and I really liked the ‘peaky blinders’ event when I went last year one of the best nights out as I remember it clearly this far on.

Was great at the start of the. Night! They bullied me and my friends out the club, TGIF the club for no treason!We asked after if we broken abiding every but we didn’t,. But law was was getting treats different t and they could of.give us a reason! HighlyUpset as so many people was called outAnd highly disruptive to the Song trouble that want us but yet we pay on. Their behalf.

Had a terrible experience here and wouldnt recommend to anyone I remotely like. Free drink as advertised on ticket didnt exist (false advertising), 2 for 1 cocktails, as advertised on the website, wernt on because it was too busy and bar staff making up drinks prices to get as much money as they can out of you. We were charged £35 for 6 drinks, then £48 for the same order 30 mins later (both after midnight when the prices go up anyway). Ive contacted them 5 times, had 1 response asking for more info, but then ignored. Terrible service from the management.

Probably worst Saturday night out I’ve had, went to garage nation 30th thought as special event would be good. Came all the way from Sevenoaks, Seems they are ok with letting just about anyone in, or don’t properly check IDs lots of kids. went upstairs at around half 11ish and to top it off clearly hired some amateur dj who didn’t know what he was doing. Ending up leaving early, going somewhere else in Maidstone now if I do come back

Racist bouncers! Very poor service. I would not recommend this night club to anyone. Security is not reliable or trust worthy. (this is not a joke).

I went to the source bar yesterday and one of the bounces wont let me in Ive done nothing wrong last time I was there the bouncer striped searched me and didnt find eny think and kicked me out and still wont let me in he is bald one its a shame because the source bar people who actually work there are nice people its just the bounces are a bit snobby especially the Bald bouncer ur not a Lound to strip search people u should of contact the police for that

my son went to source night club one of the bouncers grab him by his neck said he was doing drugs striped search him found no drugs on him then kick him out they should have rang the police to search him i will be taking this matter to the police he and his mates wont be going there again

I came all the way from Canterbury, I Went to the HALLOWEEN street party, and it was so terrible! First of all there were no inflatables, face painting or horror maze and only found out about this when I got there!!!. The music was not the same genres as stated... I went there for the dnb in the courtyard but got there and the decks weren’t working, then later on all they played was grime and I actually had to ask the dj to put it on. He then did but just played tracks and over played the same thing a lot! I heard a few songs played 3+ times... the street area was meant to be house (shapesand they were playing chart music and old school stuff like rockstar- nickleback.. I even heard the Thomas the tank engine soundtrack play at one point. There were so many things that were so bad!I’m really sad as I paid a lot of money getting there and took a lot of time getting an outfit and makeup together for Halloween to just be very disappointed when I got there... it was nothing as it was explained to be.Very unhappy and will never be returning again!

It seems there is a rare occurence of negative reviews for here which makes me hope that my first (and definitely lastexperience of Source was an unusual one, however I had to write as I have never seen anything like it. There were groups of 5-10 men who didnt even seem to be friends, just stood outside the toilets so that they could grab girls as we passed. I have never been grabbed so many times in one night by so many people and it got to the point that my friends and I stopped going to the toilet because it was so intimidating. Im not writing this to shame the whole place as I understand that different people will go every night. Im complaining because this should have been spotted by the guards and they should have been moved on at least, if not kicked out. I dont know how it went unnoticed because it would happen every time, from multiple men. I should hope this is brought up with the bouncers as something to look out for because nobody should feel like they cant even go to the toilet without being harrassed. I will say that the bar staff were great, very friendly and fast. But I will never be returning to Source as I have never experienced anything like that before I came here and never want to again.

Love going to the source bar maybe not every week but its always good for some student nights

The source bar was a regular fixture of nearly every Friday for me in the late 1990s. After greasing the wheels at the Muggletons wed proceed to the Source bar to finish the job. Times have changed but Source still pulls in the hedonistic punters. A few years back a man defecated on the dance floor (which made local newsbut thats the kind of place Source is, its a testament to the atmosphere there that he felt so comfortable and unashamed. All are welcome, apparently.

Great place, good music even for an oldie!!

If you love your dance/house music, youll be hard pressed to find a better bar/club outside of london. They put on different nights each week, from different promoters, so it never has a chance to get stale, and look out for the occassional big name nights from the likes of Nic Fanciulli. A really safe place to go out as well, thanks to their ID scan system which keeps undesirables away.
