The Sky Over Dalat - Vegetarian restaurant in Ðà Lạt, Vietnam
The Sky Over Dalat in Ðà Lạt
Description
Privilege
I dont normally eat vegetarian but this was a very good meal. Minestrone soup and a mushroom+artichoke risotto. All very tasty with a glass of Italian red. Nice place, very welcoming, interesting proprietor too.
MoreA cozy Italian vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the center of town. They offer a wide variety of salads, pasta, pizza and vegan cakes. Their pizza is incredibly tasty, would definitely recommend!
MoreGreat food, wonderful service and very reasonable prices! Whats not to like!
Went for lunch. Excellent fresh food. Drinks great, mango salsa and salads outstanding. Mains great too. Apple strudel at the end. Another excellent meal.
MoreI absolutely love this place. It has such a homely atmosphere. The soups are a perfect remedy when out all day. The range and quality of food is very good. I cant say enough good things about this restaurant and the staff.
MoreAmazing place, very tasty food, great service, waitress are super friendly. All Italian dishes looks like true Italiandelicious! All three days of our stay we had dinner here)
MoreRestaurant - coffee shop. Good coffee. Friendly staff. I will be back to enjoy the food.
MoreAwesome authentic italian food. Friendly atmosphere and nicely decorated restaurant with friendly service. They have a well diversified menu. It is not cheap but its totally worth the price.
MoreVery poor and without any love prepared vegan food. I ate vegan pizza and spaghetti and Im very disappointed with what you get for 295k...overpriced and atmosphere, there is no even some music in the background. I Will not come back.
MoreMade to order By Italian chef. Vegan, vegetarian options. Walls covers with original art.
MoreIt was not a good experience. Everything what should be cooked, cooked not good and tasteless. I ordered parmegiano, it was cold inside and too much al dente. Looked nice but inedible. Although guacomole can be eaten if you dont mind a lot of garlic and yes, orange juice with no sugar no ice was great😁
MoreThe food was amazing, vegan friendly, and the vibe and decor quite attractive. The service was friendly, but somewhat slow.
MoreI was very pleased with the food here. I went for the special of the day, which was a mushroom risotto, it was exceptional. The pizza here is excellent too, and they have a lot of desserts. The menu has a lot to choose from, will definitely return!
MoreTasty vegan food and nice atmosphere. I had pasta e fagioli soup and brownie with ginger tea and was very happy with everything. The only thing is that it has a higher price tag, but if you’re looking for great western vegan options including desserts, it’s worth trying.
MoreThe staff is courteous and polite. However food appeared to be overrated. I didnt enjoy the salad or the dessert.
MoreNice place for a change from the local noodles & rice staples:good street-side seating for people watching and enjoying the breeze. Good sized portions and super fresh ingredients. The later goes by default in Dalat:they took time with risotto and it came out as much al dente as I would have liked it. But there was no Parmiggiano cheese offered. Apparently, I needed to ask for it specifically!:would have loved more mushroom in my risotto and some fresh bread rather than Asian flavored crisps. Espresso and Limoncello liquor were superb. But cantucci were hard as nails and so full of baking soda. Only ate half of three served. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this dinner and would come back if I felt like Italian again and as long as parmiggano is served:ciao!
MoreI’m no vegetarian but the food here is great. We ate here twice and enjoyed the food and service. I agree with another poster than the pumpkin soup is bland but I assume this is because it’s vegetarian and not for lack of trying. The oatmeal is also served cold but maybe this is regional thing? Everything else we had exceeded expectations. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I would eat here again.Edit: I have to remove a star after reading some of the unprofessional responses by the owner. I agree, the women that work here are sweet and provide great service. Whomever the owner is should take a step back and reflect on their actions. I would not have tried this place if I had read these responses.
MoreEditing my review because I cant quite believe Im getting a response from the chef in question talking film analogies rather than the fact that as I mentioned his erratic and aggressive attitude (he genuinely seemed unstable at timesput myself and my partner off our food. This isnt just me being overly sensitive, or as this unusual reply suggests a preclivity for horror movies talking, as the two ladies sitting next to us were just as shocked, and kept making wide-eyed shocked expressions in our direction all meal. To be frank we were all a little too worried what a politely worded request for him to tone it down might provoke so we all kept silent. Ive never been to a restaurant where a chef so openly abused his position of power over his staff. It was actually disgusting. Honestly everyone else there was lovely and I left his establishment feeling genuinely sorry for all his staff. Reading some of the other reviews I do not believe this was an isolated incident and it does seem this man has an unstable temperament, one not fit to run a restaurant (in my honest opinion). He might well say that this is how he trains up new staff, but just calling it like I see it, it was an abuse of power with impunity with a complete disregard for his customers dining experience. Heres some free advice chef, learn to receive criticism as well as you dish it out. Instead of treating negative reviews with contempt, maybe try and recognise the truth in them. Also give your staff a bloody break.
MoreWonderful selection of vegan and vegetarian food (and wine!)! I think they especially excel with their salad/antipasta selection, but its all been good in the few years Ive been here.
MoreThe food weve tried was so good and the price not expensive. We love this restaurant
MoreGreat plant based cuisine. They have done a fab job to create a super yum menu. The vegan pizza and vegan cheese are great. Highly recommended
MorePrices were a bit too high in our opinion, more than all the vegetarian places we ate at during last two weeks all over Vietnam, but definitely nice, so we are giving the place four stars. Would suggest adding more gluten free options to the menu, we were bit overwhelmed by the amount of dough and pasta, but still it is a good restaurant with good food and vegetarian options.
MoreThe food was nice and delicious. Also the waitress was super sweet. BUT we both orderd pizza and for this kind of portion the pizza is extremely overpriced. You have to pay european prices, but we are sure the owner pays vietnamese prices for the ingredients, location and vietnamese salaries to his employees... if the price is that high you should at least expect to get somewhat full!
MoreWe tried this cute Italian restaurant since most Vietnamese places were closed for food around 4pm. Didn’t expect to find authentic and tasty Italian food in Vietnam but we did!! Since it was right after Christmas they were low on the dessert side but the salad ans veggie pastas we had were very good!!
MoreThe food was amazing and the service was friendly and efficient. The food size was just right for me, not too much but not too little. Will come here again.
MoreFantastic meal. Staff are lovely. Saw the Sara Long review and she is an awful human for writing such things. Go support this place. No, I have no affiliation, just a happy customer.
MoreHad pasta and beet salad. Very tasty. The place is owned by an Italian so you are guaranteed a good Italian treat.
MoreGreat food, good customer service and very clean. Some staff can speak English.A good variety of vegetarian dishes. The lasagna was very good.
MoreMe and my girlfriend loved the food at this place and especially the guacamole came straight outta heaven. Sky over Dalat was one reason for us to extend our stay in this city. Been there 4 times in 3 days. Yes... we are obsessed. :)
MoreI love the restaurant. And the food. Fresh ingredients. Well prepared and delicious. Generous servings. Presented beautifully and served hot.
MoreThe waitresses were very sweet, but the Italian guy yelled at one of them for not holding my wine glass by the stem, I care more about the treatment of service workers than about fingerprints on a glass. He never asked how my food was (told me there was dessert I could orderbut spent a long time talking to this British guy named Bruce who was yelling about his personal problems and making my meal very uncomfortable. The pumpkin soup was pretty bland and the spaghetti I got was also nothing to write home about. Probably should have ordered something else, since this is the most expensive meal I’ve gotten in all of Vietnam, and it was a little disappointing for the price. But it was nice to compare DaLat wine to Chilean wine from my country. And again, all of the waitresses working there were very sweet and welcoming.
MoreLots of vegan options including dessert! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
MoreI went here with 2 friends. Had such a good time with the lovely cats they own. So small and so cute. Its not touristic which makes it lovely to sit and drink coffee. We ate vegan dinner and it tasted sooo good. Loved it here.
MoreAbsolutely delicious vegetarian/vegan options. The staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. Price is slightly higher than you might expect, but youre definitely paying for quality and quantity!
MoreThis place is amazing. I had the cauliflower salad and an Immunity Booster Juice, both were absolutely delish. The staff are so lovely and helpful with recommendations. Thanks so much :)
MoreGood service, creative menu, cool ambiance surrounded by art from owner Alex. Well worth s visit.
MoreWarm atmosphere, nice place to enjoy Italian vegetarian food in Dallat with range selection from salad , main course, soup and vegan desserts , healthy smoothies. They have also signature dish of the day...cheer !!!!
MoreI went with my husband. I had a very good salad with avocado and a very tasty and fresh watermelon smoothie. My husband enjoyed his dish and loved his tomato smoothie. The menu was very interesting. We had a lovely chat with the owner who is a friendly Italian chef passionate about food. The restaurant is cozy and I definitely recommend this place!
MoreLovely place to have dinner in Dalat. Food looks and tastes delicious. Service is prompt and courteous. Really enjoying stopping here. Recommend.
MoreThe best meal I had in Dalat - beautiful presentation, and actual Italian-style pasta rather than an attempted Vietnamese pasta dish. A great place if you need a break from Vietnamese food, and if you’re vegetarian. They also have a great selection of healthy juices. 👌
MoreLove this place!!!! It is a must-visit!!! Nice variety in the menu, including raw vegan options!!! The owner is super cool, too! Be sure to say hello!
MoreVegetarian/vegan restaurant with a large menu. Slightly more expensive then your regular restaurant here in Da lat. Staff speak English well. I had the vegan tofu plate, and it was good and well made. Could have had some more spices. For dessert, a vegan chocolate ice cream, yummy.
MoreExcellent vegetarian Italian. We walked in based on great reviews on Google map and agree with the other reviewers. Food is excellent quality. The service was excellent. Pumpkin soup was a very generous portion, plenty for 2. We also had the guacamole with delicious sesame crackers, the kale salad which also came with crackers. The vegetarian lasagna was excellent. Will be coming back.
MoreWent there with 4 other friends, ordered the gnocchi pesto, it was a small portion and quite bland and the parmesan on the side was flavourless, 22 pieces of gnocchi for 110,000VND. However the other dishes my friends got (the lentil curry and fusilliwere very nice! Me and my friend ordered a Saigon beer which was stated to be 450ml for 25,000VND and turned out to be a 330ml bottle and for 2,000 more we could have got a tiger beer. When we brought it up they just said that they wrote the menu wrong and wouldnt let us pay less for the beer.
MoreSo great and delish! Vegetarian and meat friendly. Owner is Italian and gives great suggestions. Sells wine for reasonable price!—My friend and I arrived (after going to 3 other places that had nothing left for vegetarian foodand the owner had told us that he was too backed up in the kitchen to take us! We said it was fine and proceeded to just read the menu. He then said if we wanted salads he could do that...so we did and they were great!
MoreGo early to get one of the 9 pieces of amazing vegetarian lasagna.
LOVE this place! Alex, the owner, is a friendly Italian chef that loves to be creative and passionate with his food. He opened a couple of months ago and I can not recommend it enough. All food is fresh from the market. Cozy establishment with great menu and wine list. Ok, not your local Vietnamese food choice but definitely worth a visit when you’re in Da Lat. My boyfriend isnt vegetarian and loves it too. Put it on your list of places to go to while you’re here.
MorePeaceful atmosphere, ethereal music, cozy space, nimble and adorable waitress. Fine food and drinks for not only vegetarians but also barely anyone. Not too much room for parking but it still goes well. Plus, the Italiano owner here is a real artist with his works of art all over the place. Overall, love this adorable "concept".
MoreA very calm and friendly atmosphere. Vietnamese and Italian food (the chef is Italian). Very tasty, many vegan and vegetarian dishes, the place is clean and tidy.Would definitely recommend!! All vegan desserts!!!
MoreLovely experience here. The restaurant is all vegetarian, with many vegan options.Nguyen was our waitress and she was so friendly. When they ran out of soy milk she ran to the store to get some more fresh. The chocolate ice cream was delicious (basically nice cream).Highly recommended ♥️*more pages on menu, but heres a rough idea.
