HIGHLY RECOMMENDWe visited the ship luckily enough on the new menu launch day and WOW. Firstly we were greated with a warm smile and a friendly welcome by Liam who walked us through the new menu choices. We had home made Scotch Eggs as a starter followed by a flat iron stake and the wife had a wings combo. Everything was amazing, very well cooked and very fresh. Will definitely be going back to try the Sunday roasts.

Beautiful pub in a great location, good selection of beers and weekly changing guest ales, great new food menu just landed with some great pub classics and sharers, friendly knowledgable staff to boot, what a little gem of a pub 🙌

advertised that it opened at 12noon but didnt actually open til 12.25.. but decor and position on Thames very nice

It was alright for a pint and a bite of pub grub. Nice staff.That is a nice response. I would like to add to my review because I have had a few pints at The Ship over the last 20 years. The customers are interesting. My wife and I were next to group of BBC boffins. You never know who you will bump up against. Great pub for a few pints on sunny afternoon. For us the atmosphere and locational are perfect. The "broads" on the Thames. Great place to take the family, or visiting friends, looking for that special, "London" , experience.

Popped in for a quick pint after a bike ride and decided to have the fish and chips also, really really good!!!Staff where very friendly and the service was outstanding.Establishment was very clean and has a very nice decor.Definitely recommend a visit.I’ll be back 100%

Dave the gaffa helped organised our clubs awards night , another fantastic night in the Ship . All the staff that worked that night deserve a special mention , Liam, Kyle , Eleanor & Cameron were absolutely class hosts for the evening , the food was unbelievable too . Absolutely delicious! Great Job from Eddie in the kitchen! The club were full of praise for the night hosted at the ship! We most definitely look forward to the next one …..

Lovely spot to drop in for a local beer. Spectacular place to share with family or friends if travelling abroad. Burger was well balanced, flavours portioned to pop.

A rather nice pub, on the river, the ship has an out door area. Nice nice, green king ales, which if you happen to be a camera member, you are entitled to a discount of 10%. Well worth a visit

I spent several months in the UK as a foreigner from October 2021 to February 2022. This was one of my favourite places as: the staff was delightful, decent prices, and a solid location. I hope to be back again someday.

Fantastic local pub with great space and a standard pub menu. Riverfront seating is a cherry on top!

Potential to be great but at 12:45 on a hot Saturday there is onl one bartender and eight people queued trying to order food and drinks. He says there is more staff at 13:00 but the place is busy. Who schedes this staff here? Wont be coming back.

Really good riverside pub with plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. Service was good and food was decent. Seems like a very local favourite. In general not too crowded when I visited. Id stop here again if walking the South Thames path.

I love going to pubs and almost always enjoy it. Yesterday I went to the Ship. Location by the Thames is great and for a drink it is good.The food however is a different story. Their chicken platter was really terrible. Felt like the chicken had been cooked several times/ recycled and no care for the food. Same with the mash my son had, possibly heated up again from the day before?Have a drink here but skip the food.

It can be tricky to park here, but we were lucky and got a space right outside, but do keep an eye out for flooding because its right by the river, but this means theres excellent views and walking along the towpath. The toilets were fine, staff were very nice and a lovely atmosphere with plenty of seating inside and outside

Nice pub by the river. An Ok place for a pint. Its not usually a busy pub so youll get a seat but it can lack atmosphere - except for during the Oxford & Cambridge boat race, where its just by the finish line. It has a welcoming interior and big (concretegarden with boat race murals.My gripe is that it has become very expensive, without any uplift in quality, particularly on food. Fish & chips will set you back £14, and its pretty average pub grub. Lager is £5.50+ per pint.So despite The Ship being my most convenient pub, there are others in the area doing a better job so Ill probably stick with these.

Out of four ordered dishes, three were incorrect. Staff just generally moody and wouldnt recommend even a pit stop while on the Thames Path.

Great location at Thames bank. On the Thames river path. Outside tables. Near Fullers brewery.

Great location nice patio garden overlooking the Thames. £10.15 for a pint of beer and a small lemonade!

Nice pub, friendly staff, excellent views of the river and Chiswick Bridge.Being honest the Guinness wasnt greatest Ive had in SW14 but I am picky when it comes to a pint of the cream.It wasnt really busy but it was only about 7pm on a Wednesday.

It’s not a bad pub, though not as good as the riverside location deserves, and the cask beers are always “coming soon”. But the snotty new manager didn’t like us parking our bikes in the same place we’ve been putting them for the last five years, so we’re gone - plenty of other places to get a beer.

Our local pub for the past 3 years! A great place to come for a catch up with family and friends. Very cosy inside in the winter and a lovely place to sit outside by the river in the summer. The best of both worlds.

Nice Riverside pub which was bustling on Saturday arvo. Decor and layout was nice and tidy but also giving off cozy vibes too. 2 pints ~£13 to be expected in this area of London.

Really good food. We had the fish and chips. Very light batter and lovely chips.An excellent place for dinner by the river

Very nice pub right on the river. We went after my mums funeral the food was lovely and we hired the conservatory. It was a lovely day and we sat outside. Parking is free in the street at the side of the pub. I have been several times.

Lovely evening sat outside enjoying the last of the good weather, as always the service was friendly, welcoming and professional, good selection of ales and larger as well as wines and spirits, had the hunters Chicken for my dinner, very nice, even if it took a while ( as freshly preparedwell worth the wait 👍🏻If youre ever wandering down the river this is a great place to stop even if its just for a quick drink, like me, you will be back.

Beautiful location, good menu with plenty of options for all tastes, we tried a sharing starter and garlic bread which was almost spot on except the fish batter was a little heavy, I will be back to try more on the menu and would say this pub is well worth a visit if passing by. Watch out for river high tides.....its called the ship for a reason!!

The food in the ship is absolutely delicious. Always fresh and hot when delivered to my table. The service is fast and staff are always willing to accommodate any requests regarding the menu, allergies, choice of seating etc.The fish and chicken wings are my favourite for table snacks/nibbles. 😋

It has a lovely veiw of the river, just have to be careful if you park your car due to tide when it rises as it comes up to the pavement.It has a friendly atmosphere & the staff are friendly. You have 3 choices where you can sit inside, outside in the front or at the back where there is a T.V. Has been very popular on Boat Race Day as it is by the finishing line.

Anytime that youre paddling on The Thames (should I have capitalised the T in The?-; particularly the tidal Thames - yeah it gets better! - then we can seriously recommend rocking up to The Ship (Innin a kayak, open canoe, a SUP board etc etc. Theres a slipway just seconds away from the bar, and theyre not particularly sniffy if youre hauling paddles and bouyancy aids with you as you walk in - The London Apprentice could learn a lesson or two here!Great selection of beers, toilets arent awful, staff are *really* great, and I expect the food is too - I actually cant remember the last time we ate here, but I do Greene King tend to keep on top of these things - not sure about the Vegetarian/Vegan options, perhaps someone can elaborate?Shall return.

Fine.No ales available. Staff friendly, did an OK job. Courtyard could do with being cleaned up a bit. Food was pretty good really, and a reasonable price.A bit disappointing given the location by the river - it could be amazing. If youre willing to pay an extra ten or twenty percent you could go somewhere nearby thats much better.

Went here with my husband for a catch up with my son. We had some drinks and lunch. First out, out this year. It was really nice. The food was tasty and the drinks refreshing. It was quite a reasonable price too.

Came by for a long needed catch up with friends and had a great time! Great food and drinks, service was fantastic. Special shout out to Ella, looked after us so well. She looked after us so well and had a fantastic manner with kids. In between looking after the guests she was entertaining some kids and swatting the pesky flies!! Talk about above and beyond!!Thank you team ship!!!

Lovely location by the riverside. Good selection of beers. Friendly staff. Be careful if you’re coming by car - floods at high tide

Third visit to the weekend Everything is perfect. Saturday to South Korea, but a lot to miss.Its all delicious, especially chicken chips

Excellent, convivial local pub. Welcoming, with loads of character. Great views over the Thames river- ideal place for lunch during a walk. Limited but good traditional pub menu- food is well cooked and presented. Good selection of ales and Gin in particular. Darts available, multiple TVs for sports plus real fireplace. Very nice and spacious outside seating available. The site of 16th century occultist John Dees house is just 200m walk away.

Great little pub/eatery adjacent to the Kew station. Nice place to sit back and enjoy a Sunday afternoon. Food looks lovely but I am just relaxing with a pint

Good quiet spot with lovely views, nice bar staff in a perfect spot on the river side. Great place to watch planes on their approach to Heathrow Airport. Parking limited, outside seating, good drinks selection. Let down by toilets though. Tiny cubicles, locks missing and shabby.

Nice setting by the river, beer was ok, reasonable selection.Was only here for a quick lunch time pint, not many punters but the place has a nice real to it.

Well, The Ship in Mortlake, wonderful! A lovely sprawling pub right on the river. Great staff and a good selection of beers and winesHistory too, the clock above the fireplace is a Tavern Clock. It does not appear to work but is still right twice a day! All is well with the world. Do visit!

Great pub if you want to be right in the Thames River. Very near Kew as well if you like a great horticultural experience. No London Pride though :-(

Very popular riverside pub for a meal or a pint. The Thames often overspills onto the road here so be careful where you park near high tide.
