Irish bar with a conservatory, beer garden and no less than 7 plasma screens for showing sports.
The Sheephaven Bay in Estancia
Description
Excellent Guinness! Def one of the best in London
Greet pub with cool staff and cool Guinness !
Nice proper boozer but quite pricey, guess thats just London now though tbf.
Best Guinness in Camden...and possibly London. Spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in here and you wont go far wrong. Amazing service and great atmosphere.
MoreGreat football atmosphere, gentle staff and professional service. And good beer!!👌😊🍻
MoreGreat beer garden out the back. Decent ales and we were made to feel welcome.
Classic Irish pub hidden away on a Camden backstreet (actually equidistant between a Camden Town and Mornington Crescent tube stations), including a small semi-sheltered beer garden at the back. The walls and ceiling are adorned with numerous sport shirts and there are plenty of big screens. It’s usually pretty quiet, unless there is a major horse race, when the pub seems to come alive. If you found my review helpful please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you!
MoreGreat food, great value, and the blonde woman working there was really helpful
Sunday roast was amazing great food great staff cold drink just perfect
Very friendly local pub, plus a delicious Sunday roast and traditional Irish stew 👍🍀🍀🍀
MoreNice bar, friendly service and good choice of beer and drinks. Plenty of tables both inside and out.
MoreBest pub in the city hands down
Like the place for a beer and its outside garden. Friendly staff too.
Traditional Irish pub in Camden, a few minutes’ walk from Mornington Crescent tube station but slightly off the beaten track. Full of sports memorabilia, with many TV screens for watching sport.Definitely a locals’ pub but friendly to non-locals also. Great pint of Guinness, as others have mentioned.
MoreReally nice pub, very friendly atmosphere and staff. Definitely will visit again
Great pub with great staff and a lovely pint of Guinness 👍👍
A pub used by Camden locals, back of the High Street. Food and beer good.
A SMALL homofobic hole in the middle of nowhere. The landlord is a racist. Overpriced drinks. A half of pint of cider over £4.ooDont bother to go there to be abused by staff and local weirdos.
MoreA simple, solid Irish pub with reasonably priced drinks, freshly prepared pub food, and many screens if you have come to watch sport. Good, old-fashioned pub in a tony location.
MoreGas spot. Donegal Irish bar. The Guinness is definitely top 3 in London
Stumbled across the Sheephaven Bay while looking for someone in Camden showing the GAA, delighted we landed in when we did!Lovely Guinness and plenty of tellys to watch any and all kinds of sports, the bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful to top it all off!
MoreFriendly service, lots of beers, big screen sports.
Was recommended this place but a few people. Realised that I was close and came and visited. This place is an amazing Irish pub in Camden and a must see. So many locals enjoying themselves. The staff were great and the decor has to be seen ! A lovely Guinness was had. Looking forward to coming back
MoreI have been waiting along time to visit the Sheephaven Bay after seeing the outstanding reviews that the @guinnessguru left.Although the bar is in the Borough of Camden it takes about 5-10 mins to get to the bar from Camden Town Underground Station, and lets be honest Camden is a very interesting place to go for a walk particularly if the weather is good as it was for me.It would be very easy to walk right past the sheephaven as unlike the other pubs and bars there are not large groups all over the pavement outside swigging pints of the black stuff. So lets get to it.... The pub is massive, lots of tables with a few rooms of the main bar and a very generous beer garden. Lots of Irish and football memorabilia over the walls and ceilings which brings a good touch of character. Now the Guinness @guinness I will be honest and say that this is without doubt the best pint of Guinness that I have tried in all of London, although the barman was honest and said that he serves the second best pint (the first being the Auld Shillelagh @Auld Shillelagh(I will be visiting/reviewing this bar in early June))The pint itself was very well presented in an old style glass with a good dome. It was not Guinness Extra Cold and served to me at what I consider the perfect temperature. The Pint was deliciously creamy and was so nice I had another; in all honestly I could have stayed there all night.I would visit the SheepHaven Bay in a heart beat and strongly suggest that you (any true Guinness loverdoes the same too. Five stars is thoroughly deserved.
MoreLovely irish pub with smashing staff. The Guinness is excellent and sport coverage second to none. Loved the place.
MoreCame for the football - owner was lovely even if the staff were a bit nippy (although possibly understandable considering how busy it was). Prices are typical of London - eye watering for anyone on a visit from elsewhere.
MoreExcellent food and drinks. Great for sports viewing! The ambience speaks sports:)
MoreTop Irish bar very popular with the locals. Staff very friendly and offers bar food. Great place to watch live footie. Ive been going there for years when in London.
MorePerfect place to watch a game. Nice stuff and familiar atmosphere. Cant miss the Nachos with your beer 🍻
MoreGreat Guinness and staff
Toilets are a health hazard.I wouldnt eat or drink in this pub because if they cant be bothered to clean the toilets, they probably cant be bothered to keep the kitchen clean and keep the food in a hygenic condition or clean the glasses properly during this pandemic.
MoreThis is a lovely pub to visit, traditionally decorated and a lovely pint of Guinness. Unfortunately the staff were not as welcoming as other pubs we visited. and I found out later, They completely ignored my disabled friend at the bar and needed a local to step in to help get him served.Sorry Sheephaven, disappointed.
MoreFantastic Irish pub, great for sport or cheap good food. Very friendly atmosphere.
MoreBest pint of Guinness Ive had in England. Great friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff.
MoreLoved the place, really friendly, good food and good people behind and in front of the bar, great drinks, keep it up all.
MoreOutstanding Guinness, probably one of the best bars I’ve been to in London for it and I don’t throw that compliment around lightly as I’m an Irishman
MoreBest Guinness in Camden, probably a shout for the best Guinness in London. As soon as the Guinness touched my lips I dont think I put my glass down until it was empty. Burger and chips were lovely and great value
MoreIrish pub rammed for the start of the 6 Nations & the double header of Ireland v Wales, & Scotland v England. Considering all this, service was good, so theyre obviously used to dealing with crowds. A basic but perfectly acceptable bar menu which includes pizza & Irish Stew. Just a few minutes walk from Mornington Crescent tube station, wide selection of draft beers & a friendly clientele matched by the bar staff. Lots of Irish bric-a-brac including a variety of sports jerseys. Well worth a visit.
MoreThis place serves some of the best Guinness you’ll ever try. Options of cold or regular temperature is a deluxe. Price point perfect. I’ll Beyonce perfect.
MoreSuperb Guinness. Best Ive had in London. And Ive tried a lot of places. Staff are friendly and offer a great service. Can tell they care about customers. Good food too. Overall, a cracking pub. Unassuming, quietly going about doing all the things that matter well.
MoreLovely spacious pub . Plenty of tv screens for sporting events. Reasonably priced drinks and an excellent and reasonably priced food menu. Lovely Sunday lunch. Well recommended
MoreNice pub off the beaten track. Had lunch with a friend, typical pub grub, we had chilli nachos 😋 reasonably prices
MoreAn great institution, traditional but offering a wide range of food and drink. Plenty of football shown as well as Irish sports. We need to support pubs like this. London would be immeasurably poorer if we lose them. I miss the days when it had more satellite feeds than NATO HQ 😜
MoreLovely pub. Friendly staff. I had veg nachos and veg pizza, both were tasty. We went for the football, but they had a quiz on the same time, which was a bit annoying as the volume for the TV was pretty low and could hardly hear it. Dont think they should do both at the same time, but having said that I would go there again even if they had a quiz on.
MoreAmazing authentic "London" Pub with the friendliest and most helpful staff, great drinks at great prices and they do a very fun pub quiz here on a Monday night. Definitely back soon!
MoreReally nice pub and nice staff. The music was great. Was my first time there and for sure I’m going back soon 😊👍🏻
MoreWent in on a whim! Couldn’t find a table as they were reserved but the manager showed us where to sit which was good.We ordered pretty much straight away and got the drinks at the same time. Staff were decent and the food that came out was yummy. Have a look at my photo, the portions were huge. I think I got 1/2 a chicken lol.One thing to mention would be for the staff members just to say hello when you walk into the premises. Apart from that a cosy little pub.
MoreFantastic traditional Irish bar off the beaten track. Great Guinness served in there and a great spot to watch the football!
MoreThis place is a hidden gem! All surrounding pubs are always crowded and you have to deal with enormous queues and long waiting times ... This place has always the perfect balance - its never empty but it never gets TOO crowded. It offers the standard beer choice for London and its decently priced (slightly cheaper than all neighbour places). The garden is great and the atmosphere inside is decent as well. Overall a great place if you want to have a chill night out with your friends.
MoreAs far a a pubs go, The Sheephaven Bay is truly one of the best in the area. Why? This pub has charm, a real neighborhood feel to it (that isnt code for rough!), and the staff, even the boss man, get to know your face. Decent prices, great food and an epic quiz makes The Sheephaven Bay what pubs used to be and should be
