Seasonal, modern British plates served in a rustic space with colourful fabrics and barrel tables.
Quick work trip to London. looking for something interesting and cozy. I certainly found it here. Food was interesting and had a reasonable amount of variety. Certainly appreciated locally sourced food and attention to freshness of ingredients. The food was impeccably prepared and presented. The wine list was interesting and there were some reasonably priced options for us normal folk. I found it strange that I had to order accompaniment to go with my steak. It came with nothing. Steak on a plate with a carrot. as you can imagine this pushed up the price but hey, I guess that’s London. It was expensive but delicious for what I got. I didn’t love the 13 1/2% auto gratuity but maybe that’s a thing over here too. Overall it was a great experience, great atmosphere, not too loud, very welcoming. Quality of food was very high
Overall rather nice. They even managed to make Brussel sprouts taste good. Can recommend the venison. Can’t figure out why there are so many ladies tonight, not that Im complaining…
What a great little gem! Highly recommend it for romantic dinners or to catch up with friends. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet warm, and staff very attentive, with delicious, reasonably priced food. Will definitely book again!
This place is a little treasure box in Notting Hill. So cozy and warm, just coming here for a drink is a great experience. Staff is lovely, Mikey is a star and always very welcoming. The food here is a different level: each dish is a real masterpiece with amazing taste👍I sent friends here to enjoy this place & the food, everyone loved it! Thank you
We recently hosted a celebratory event for friends and family at The Shed, and the experience was faultless from start to finish. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated. As expected from prior experience, the food was incredible and executed to perfection. It is a beloved neighborhood restaurant and we will be returning many times over. Thank you again to The Shed family for an evening we won’t soon forget!
Nice atmosphere, great service (Johnny especially!and well-sourced food with interesting flavours. Took a little while for our table to become available, but we were given free sparkling wine to compensate. Will come again :)
Visiting from NYC; we had a terrific time. Friendly and helpful staff, fun and low key environment, interesting and delicious food with thoughtful wine pairings, good value. In short, a “home run”!
Cute place. Enjoyed the goat cheese 🧀 and the outdoor space
Cozy interior with a lovely rustic decor. Went as group of three and really enjoyed the farm to table values of the restaurant.
Lovely people. Genuinely, they were, wine was nice too. But.....the food to $$$ ratio was a massive disappointment. Felt like the chef was trying to be fancy and make up combos that just shouldnt exist. Average at best.
Perfecto. We savored every tapas dish we ordered. Everything was so thoughtfully curated and tasted phenomenal. Bonus points for lovely staff members! Will definitely make a return visit next time I’m in London.
The food here is so creative, beautiful, fresh, and tasty. I like how they source their ingredients and have fresh menu so often based on seasonal ingredients. Remember to book a table in advance.
The shed was great! Had the beef to share and it’s enough for 3! Super delicious!
Came for lunch, multiple courses and excellent wine. Outstanding flavours with perfect portions, excellent and cheerful service. Family friendly, too.
One of the best in London. Amazing food and staff. Definitely recommended.
Delicious food! The celeriac schnitzel was a surprise and so tasty. The Sussex white wine that they serve was also a nice treat. The service was a bit unfriendly, but the food made up for that.
My fiancé and I had an amazing dinner here the other night! The service was outstanding and so was the food.I especially enjoyed the proteins which were all cooked perfectly and had a great sear on them. Would recommend the sirloin and hake mains and cod cheeks starter. We also enjoyed the tomato carpaccio and the burrata with peach chutney starters which were both light and fresh. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately there werent any vegan options stated on the menu. I called beforehand to ask whether there would be something for me to eat as I was coming with a group and they assured me they could make something. When at the restaurant the only option I was given for the starter was to have the vegetable dishes but without the cheese (a main part of the dish). At a restaurant of this price and general standard this felt not very acceptable, especially when the portions are relatively small anyway. I was offered for a main course roasted aubergine with tomato sauce. The sauce was nice and rich but again this felt like a basic main course option for the price and nature of the restaurant. Nowadays it feels like this is not very inclusive and I wonder whether more thought could be given to this in future.
Chose the fixed price taster menu with matching wines. The dishes were interesting and well presented. Attentive staff and nice surroundings. Would recommend if you would like to try this kind of dining experience. Although menus like this are not cheapthe Shed is a lot better value for money than a lot of restaurants offering this kind of menu.
Vibrant restaurant with friendly staff, however, the set menu was very average in terms of portion sizes. Might be able to get away with it if offering Michelin-quality food.
Nice balanced meal executed very well. It’s all very good!
High quality food executed to perfection. We had the plant-based set and the celeriac schnitzel was amazing. I would have never ordered celeriac, and was so glad it was on the set.
Food was just perfect in every point, well season, fresh and full of flavours.I had few dishes from the starters, medium plates, mains and cheese board. Thanks to the waitress with dark hair, she was really kind, welcoming and aware of every item from the menu, from food to drinksNice place! I will go back for sure
Food is okay, frankly quite fatty and salty. It’s not the healthy taste you think you will get. Wine list definitely needs an upgrade. The Service is great but the place could be a cleaner, especially the toilet.
All the staff members were so friendly!! We couldnt choose from the a la carte menu so we had the tasting menu… and it was full of surprises!!!! Will come back again!!
What a find. Cosy place just off the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill. Excellent well priced Food, with most if not all being sourced in England. Fantastic wine choices and the staff were great. Elena in particular went out of her way to provide a wine tasting (this wasn’t on the menuso we could choose the second bottle of wine we wanted. Had an amazing time and will recommend to all who head that way
Of my time in London, The Shed offered the most inspired lunch. The quirkiness of the restaurant combined with the utmost freshest ingredients fondly reminds me of the wonderful restaurants throughout my home turf of Northern California wine country. I wish I had time to experience a lively evening there...perhaps another time. Great wine list.
Probably the best meal EVER! My first experience of this unique style of dining. Heavenly menu locally sourced and so beautifully presented. Flavours to die for and service that’s impeccable together with a fantastic wine selection. Can’t wait to return or visit the others in Richmond and Wimbledon! Congratulations everyone involved! 👏👏
The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The food was good. Such a cozy place! I would come back for a after work.
Amazing farm to table food!!! Cannot go wrong with anything that you get. Be sure to order their home made apple whiskey
Don’t come here too hungry because even the mains felt like tapas dishes. Long wait between dishes too. Very pricey considering the portion sizes. Love the sustainability concept of the menu but the food didn’t quite deliver. Sadly the restaurant just seemed more run-down than cozy.
Very cosy place. It gives you a very warm and relaxing feel when dining in there. I like their concept - sustainable farm to fork! They have some interesting dishes. Food are very delicious. The portion is not big, more like tapas so you could try more dishes and order for sharing. I would like to come back again for dinner.
An absolute great find just round the corner from Notting Hill Gate! Fantastic food and cocktails, everything we had was top quality. The staff were super friendly too and offered a lot of suggestions on different courses and drinks. Its quite a small restaurant so a little cozy/compact but that adds to the charm. Theres extra space outside too if the weather is good out.
Gorgeous little restaurant thats bigger on the inside than it looks. Really liked the decor too, as well as the heated outdoor area at the front. The food was amazing, lots of inventive veggie options, nice selection of wines, and service was 10/10.
Nice find right next to Hyde park. Perfect for a weekend brunch. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive and the food nice. Tapas style twists on English flavours. Highly recommend. Prices were good for the quality ~£35 pp, with a drink.
This comfortable farm to table oriented gastropub was a wonderful find in Kensington. All of the flavours were lively and with purpose, and the staff was lovely. Small plates oriented, the best of what we had was the venison on polenta, fried cauliflower with tahini and the Dorset crab salad. Their Nutbourne Vineyards Bacchus is bang on. Every dish was amazing, highly recommend!”
I have heard some recommendations about The Shed for a while and finally got to have a try. The overall atmosphere is pretty classic and chic. The wild menu is pretty big but a bit heavy (too much fried plates I would say). Two waiters know a lot about their food and wine and gave us very detailed intros of the dishes, while the other one waitress messed up the order of food (switched the second and third), didn’t give us any intro when she served the food and it was quite slow compared to other tables. We didn’t touch the Lamb Chips and the Pork as they are a bit too fried and oily. I wouldn’t recommend to try this set of menu if you’re not very hungry.
Lovely experience, warm and welcoming from the start. We had the tasting menu which was very reasonable at £48 each. Staff were very attentive and food was delicious.
Went there last week, it was stunning! Even tho it has limited space for outdoor seating. We had an amazing experience at The Shed. The manager Barry was absolutely fantastic, he gave us a warm welcome and took after us for the whole time.Love the local product from kitchen and wine, beautiful selection of wine, from sparkling to digestive.Great portions of food with great flavour, the truffle eclair, cod croquette, tempura spring onion and monkfish are MUST! I wish i could taste more food, but it was just two of us. Perhaps next time!It was definitely one of the best restaurant i have ever been in london. A little gem full of character. If you’re looking for a cozy place with good food and service, here you go.
We had an amazing event organised by fabulous Nadia Aburdene from InterNations, ambience was spectacular and service was spot on, chef cooked an amazing food. We were looked after immaculate way. Highly recommended!!!!
A cozy modest restaurant with very good dishes to offer. I tried their holiday menus which included an awesome mix of meat, seafood and veggie dishes. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It was a shame we could not try the owners local wine from their vineyards as they were out.
What a fun place for dining. Visited with the in laws over the weekend and my goodness what did we not order. Everything was delicious but the best of the dishes was the chorizo, venison, mallard and the sample dish of the mouth fulls. The group ordered a variety of drinks and the winner hands down was the sloe me down. All the staff were very helpful with questions and the service was quick and delightful. Another special treat for us was that most of the ingredients and produce were from the Sussex country side, which is were we live. Would highly recommend visiting and be sure to book as it was rather busy and space isnt massive.
Interesting and overall very good tapas. Farm-to-table with a changing menu. Service was good and they were able to squeeze us in with no wait, without a reservation. Overall still quite pricey with very small portions. The scallops and venison were very good. Vegetarian offerings weren’t quite up to par.
Had an amazing lunch at the Shed while the rain was pouring down outside. As we were with quite a large group we decided to try everything on the tapas-style menu and this certainly didnt disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal and I can certainly recommend to leave some room for the amazing desserts. Lemon and thyme cream with pear (pictureis an absolute must-try!
All product being sourced in their farm freshness is secured. But more dishes are well executed; a really good place. We were so teased y the description of the amuse-bouches on the menu... we couldn’t decide and had them all...twice!
Farm to plate concept dining. Cosy nook restaurant. Packed to the brim. Love the retro, vintage tractor parts upcycled as part of the interior and exterior. Good quality food but on the small side, hence the rating not the quality.
Very nice concept restaurant. Great idea of having local fresh farm ingredients and an ever changing catalogue based on the availability. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the hippy style decor. All the dishes we tasted were great. Though some of them quite petit in size and portions.
Inspired British tapas, each delicious dish a beautiful creation, and all sourced from their own farm and surrounding West Sussex. Genuine, friendly, knowledgeable staff, passionate about what they do. Highly recommended!
Great place, super-impressed with the unusual flavour combinations of their small plates, but everything worked so well. Trout and grouse (separate disheswere the real stand-outs for me. My only criticism would be our table was a little too cramped to fit 7 people (not sure they had a bigger table), especially with the number of different plates we had. Service was very friendly but a little slow too (the place was full on a Monday eveningbut they do manage expectations in advance by saying to allow 2 - 2.5 hours to enjoy the set menu.
This is definitely a unique experience. Tapas in local grown English way. Absolutely amazing. Super creative and tasty food. The interior decorations are just as unique as the food and large mirrors acompined with roof windows makes the place look surprisingly spacious! Highest award. No brainier 5
