Wow.......amazing place, food was stunning, kids had an amazing time playing in the sea etc

This place is OK if you can find somewhere to park, which most of the time you can’t. Walk or cycle if you can.

Unfortunately the food has gone really down hill. Menu has changed (I don’t know why, new chef maybe?there’s no more sweet potato fries. Some dishes were cold, burger bun didn’t match the burger. Crinkle fries seem childish. It’s like they thought maybe they don’t need to work hard in the kitchen since they’re gonna be busy anyway? 🤷

Very expensive cocktail I ever seen 12 euros and very weak, not recommended unless you only want a beer!

Just stopped for a drink but enjoyed the relaxed vibe and view.

Went on a Tuesday for the live music and food. Very attentive and friendly service. Shack burger and Beyond Meat burger for the veggy. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere.

Amazing and child friendly place located on the lake, the service has always been impressive also, the manageress was very welcoming and always did her best to find us a place as advanced booking is a MUST, visitors start booking as early as April, ahead of their July/August visit. Dont miss Thursdays as they have live music and its a lovely ambiance.

I first discovered the Shack a year ago while installing work in Quinta Do Lago. I ate lunch at the Shack every day. What a wonderful find. Laid back atmosphere in a stunning location. Ive just returned with my wife and children on holiday and will be back in the future. The food is great, staff are friendly and very reasonably priced. Also a great place for celeb spotting! There is a small beach overlooked by the restaurant which is on stilts over the water - close enough to watch our kids chasing the fish in the lake. Live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays is always excellent. You need to get your table early as it is very popular. Absolutely love the place!

A lively bar on the lake. Popular and trendy with light meals / snacks available. Beach with sun beds and cabanas alongside.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch and drinks here. Food was good but a bit expensive for what you get. Drinks were good but again pricey. Would recommend if you are happy to pay a premium based on the location.

Great place with a super atmosphere. Thursday is the best day. We booked a cabanna on the beach Chilled there from 10 am and then went inside for lunch at 3.30pm. music started 4-7 and we had the best day with the best people. Special thanks to LORI & Octavio for excellent service all day. We will be back. Thank you :)

Tis not cheap! Food and service are good but the constant EDM is a bit much for us old bogies.

Nice food and views, but food took ages to come out and we waited over 30 mins (with no drinks leftfrom asking for the bill (several timesto actually getting it. Then it was another 10 min wait before we could actually pay for it. We were all gasping for another drink by then!

Nice outlook. Food was good, particularly the tacos. Loaded fries were a little plain though. Also quite expensive for what it is. Staff were very helpful and friendly. In a very touristy spot

Vegetarian tacos and chicken quesedilla were both very tasty. Mango daiquiris were very strong but couldnt taste any mango.

Cant book for lunch here, so when we arrived we joined the waiting list and the WhatsApp we received said 140 - 180 minutes. No way were we waiting 3 hours so we left the area and went somewhere else. 30 mins later we had just sat down to eat somewhere else, 15 mins drive away, and were just about to cancel our table at the shack when we received a WhatsApp message saying our table was ready. Too late!

This place is highly overrated, horrible and arrogant service which is very slow. The price is way to high for what they have to offer, the food is marginal. The only positive about this shack! are the surroundings.

Great drinks, but far too busy. The staff is nice and they have life music on, which is always fun. The clientele is british rather than portuguese with huge groups of teenagers and families around. Overall, I enjoyed it, but not sure I would recommend to everyone.

Over-priced beds and reminiscent of a Butlin’s holiday camp.

Great location! But staff not superfriendly -the one who serviced us-, food not great either. But the view and lake makes it up.

Please note, for a Sunny bench you need to make a reservation. Excellent place for families with young kids

The place was pumping on a Thursday afternoon, yet the service and food was still top draw. I’d take the family, I’d go with friends or id even go on date night. This place has something for everyone!

Incredible fish taco with very fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and crisp slaw. Winner!

Coffe was cold - had to send it back. Returned hot from micro wave. Coffeee machine not delivering hot beverages. Pastel de Nata full of liquid - on cooked!! Unusual for the Shack which is normally good

After a long walk along the promenade, this was a perfect spot for lunch. Shack Burger, chicken quasadilla and loaded wedges. All were amazing. Passionfruit lemonade definitely worth trying. A great setting, one of those places which you could sit in all day watching the world go by. Absolutely worth a visit, I know well be going there again before heading home

Lovely spot for a family lunch. Prices are kind of UK prices, so more than general for restaurants here but the location makes it worth it. Food is decent, not gastro pub standard in my opinion, but better than an average UK pub. Lots of other families for Saturday lunch, mostly not locals by the sounds of it. Great place to enjoy on a sunny day.

Nice little joint by the lake. Was fairly busy with families and groups. Theres watersports going on, on the lake which is fun to watch and great place for parents to chill if their kids want to get involved. The food was super tasty and quite healthy! Could easily spend the day here 😊

Great setting, fun for kids with the water activities. Good food too.

Got a cabana for the day, €90 but so worth it. We had little children with us and met up with friends which made a really fun environment. The lunch was unbelievably good. All the salads are next level. The Mexican prawn has a perfect kick to it also is very big.

The meals at the shack were fantastic. Nine of us had a brilliant late lunch. Everyone had fish and there was a terrific variety to choose from. We ate, we drank and we made merry. We will always remember the place. The ages in our party was plus 80s for me and my wife, down to 21 for our grand daughter. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the staff were brilliant. Fast food based restaurant, you know what to expect from it; the food is delicious though.Friendly staff and service. Its understandable if the order takes a little more time, especially around lunch peak hours.Fantastic chillout as well, delicious cocktails.

The view is amazing, very cozy deck. We had a delicious sangria and the service was very good. Perfect place to chill out.

Very nice area, beautiful view, I will come on weekdays, they r a bit rude during weekends when it’s crowded, they can make you wait for more than an hour in the sun without telling you there is a list or people are waiting in front of u, they don’t even bother to stop and talk to u while waiting at the entrance. When we asked for how long we will wait, the lady almost screamed at us .. for the first time I felt of hitting the waiter ( woman).. I went again on a Monday to have a honest review about their service, and it was easy, fast and good food .. so it’s excellent only on weekdays.

Lovely place by QDL lake, scrimp Taco highly recommended and live music on a Tuesday or Thursday is brilliant.

Ridiculously overpriced, sub standard snack food. Nice location which saves the place. Drop the shack into any area where they would be reliant on food quality and had some competitors and it would fold in a few months.

Lovely place, avoid Thursdays as it gets rammed. Live music Monday through to Friday and best to get there either early (18:30or late (21:00). Be aware it shuts at 22:00.

The Shack is a great location to have a few drinks and snacks at Sunset with friends or family. Day time the location also caters to families with kids with paddle boats, sail boats, and floating assault courses to occupy the kids which is supervised by lifeguards. There are sunbeds which you can rent, beach beds with umbrellas. Live music is usually staged at The Shack during the summer months 3 days a week from 4.30~8pm. My favourite snacks are the Sweet Potato Fries, and Spicy Chicken Wings, and an extremely sinful dessert is the Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream, the Brownie comes hot and Ice Cream placed on top (delicious!). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Usually waiting time for a bench and table is around 20~30 mins at peak times. Other options are have a drink at the beach bar whilst you wait.

A favourite for some light bites or lunch in the sun. The staff here are always welcoming and helpful, and their guacamole is always fresh. Try the fish tacos (they are lightly batteredor a burger if you want something a bit moreish (pass on the chips though). And sit beside the water if you want to catch a glimpse of the fish jumping out.

Cool place to eat. Not fancy, just benches to sif on in the main but great location on the edge of a lake and beach. Casual eating g place.

Food was very good but just a tiny bit limited with the menu choices. Would like to have seen a sandwich choice. However, staff were absolutely fantastic. Extremely attentive, cheerful and helpful. Excellent service. Will be back again.
