Friendly staff.
A tranquil garden right in front of the shrine, peaceful place to visit and to be taken care of together
Excellent place for worship. The temple supplies incense sticks and tealights. May all my wishes come true.
Nice and peaceful place to prey
Serene, easy to park and spiritual unlike the one in Sydney which was commercialised.
The temple reminded me of the Chinese heritage that came in the gold rush. Beautiful architecture and intricate carvings awaits you inside.

Peace of mind, heritage and the history spoke by itself
Beautiful old temple in the middle of South Melbourne that goes back 150 years.
Ok
Went there since I was a little kid. Always pray at the temple when I face difficult situations. They always blessed me. Really appreciate the temple.
Was in the area and decided to visit this Taoist temple. You enter a peaceful front courtyard before coming to the front entrance. It was very smoky inside due to the incense sticks that are offered to the various deities located in various parts of the temple. Please be aware that photography is not allowed inside the building. You will be able to access the temple via 2 streets.
Place of worship for people who worship the Lord Guan Yu, the symbol of valour, loyalty. Symbolise war and Wealth. Common for people who own a business. Can be quite smoky and eye watering during major celebrations like weeks before Chinese New Year and weeks after Chinese New Year. Also during Lord Guans birthday. The temple also host other Gods like Bodhisattva Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercyon the left wing. The temple also host one of the oldest Dragon head used in Dragon dance in Melbourne.

I didnt know this temple was here. One of Melbournes hidden secrets. Very friendly staff
Anyone know when will it be reopen?
Great place to visit and worship.
Desperately need more exhaust ventilation
Great little temple, believe it was the first in Melbourne. It is small and can get very crowded inside during the spring festival, this means lots of smoke from the incense that can sting your eyes.
Excellent latent knowledge with the caretakers.
Dont go on Chinese new year, too many people also, the smoke from all the incenses can make u tear up if u arent use to it.
I been here a few time ! Great temple , good staff very helpful
A historical building and a great place for worshipping and relaxation. Ive been coming to this temple during my childhood years with family till up today as an adult and honestly theres something about this temple that draws me to using the ancient warrior guan gongs fortune sticks each time Im there. Also, theres Alot of parking space available.
Arguably most memorable part of my trip to Melbourne.
Very spiritual place and good energy flowing around the temple
Very rare traditional Chinese temple in Melbourne. But sits in a building more to old Australian house. Staff there were very helpful. Worth a visit.
A temple with loads of history, worth visit to understand ancient Chinese religions and believes that is still continuing till this day.

This temple provides a solemn and quiet place for worship and reflection. Chinese incence and candles can be bought inside. Unfortunately, photography inside the temple is strictly prohibited.
