If could give 0 ⭐️ they would get it.Avoid this place, the advertisement is totally different of the reality. I stayed only one night but was a bad experience, the staff is impolite and untrustworthy at least the line looked clean but the mattress was so uncomfortable. Too much expensive for a horrible place, nothing of royal 👎👎👎

Was a great hotel for years then they closed the bar, and the last owner left without paying wages to staff and been empty since .. Looks like its slowly being taken back by nature.. Car park is quite handy tho😜

We had a "family" room. Very dated. Bathroom-not clean. Worn, frayed carpets. Wooden curtain pole cut & used as a shower curtain pole!Meals OK. "Smiley" staff.Costly for what we had.

Avoid this place like the plague, I don’t know who’s writing some of these reviews, maybe they pay friends to do it, believe me, it’s absolutely rotten, run down and smells, I wouldn’t let my dog stay here as it’s absolutely disgusting and should be closed down. The sad thing is I don’t think the owners realise. I went for breakfast and noticed mold on the toast so just up and left, had booked for 5 nights as I was working up there last week but left after 1 day and checked in elsewhere.

Would never stay here again went to work on Tuesday 3/07/18 left work bag in room came back from work somebody had been in the room and stole some stuff out of my bag told the women and she lied saying nobody had been in the room plus the place smells not helpful at at all which I could show pictures of the room no stars disgusting shower and toilet between 4 rooms doesnt work

La limpieza era correcta, tanto en las habitaciones como en los baños. Lo que se nota es que todo tiene muchos años. El restaurante cumple bien tanto para la cenas, con sus especiales del día como para el desayuno incluido. El hotel está muy cerca del puerto que merece la pena visitar después del desayuno.

Today I had the best Xmas meal ever!!! The service was outstanding the food was excellent nice touch was the tiny wee mince pies they were warm when they came to the table we were a table of 7 and a child thankyou royal hotel see you next year for sure

I spent 2 weeks at the Royal Hotel with Catherine & Alan in October 2015. If you want a real family Scottish hotel this is the place for you. The staff are friendly, welcoming and make you feel right at home. The rooms are toasty warm, clean & comfortable, while still being affordably priced. The food is also affordably priced but is wonderful. It has many traditional Scottish dishes, food is available in one meal session or another virtually anytime, and Allan is a fabulous cook. The buses stop right out the front of the hotel frequently & you’re in Edinburgh before you know it. Dysart is a lovely, scenic, quiet little fishing village that’s lovely in summer. I’ll definitely be returning to the Royal if I find myself in the area again!

My family (4)kids and my husband(boab)aka bobfish all had xmas lunchdinner here ,okay it was 9 month ago however at time of booking we were very lucky to get booked 1 month before xmas and the restuarant was choka block ,On day it was calm ,staff very attentive making sure we had all we needed ,the food was nice , had a choice of 2starts 3 main and 2 dessert for the adukts very appealing for the kids not to sure ,my kids all good eaters and they picked at main but enjoyed the start ,none of the kids ate the dessert,Kids were able to play pool in the vestibule area between the front restuarant and the check in counter at the back before you get to the function hall, over all id give service ,810 for food 710 for the overall experience 810 . i feel i must mention the fact the new owner came over and introduced herself .she was or seemed down to earth ,sort of what you see is what you get .no frills you could sit and have a few drinks with her and have a good laugh and enjoy your self

Absolutely terrible, couldnt even make a booking online. Apparently theyre fully booked up for the next 30 years. Every room, every day!!!Avoid at all costs
