The Royal Dil - Indian restaurant in Mumbwa, Zambia
Tasty dishes and quick service. However 3 of the 7 of us got bad stomachs afterwards with several trips to the loo the next day...
Came for lunch break. Food came out fast! The food was good. We had butter chicken, palak paneer, and butter naan. The chicken was tender and the taste of the curry was delicious. The palak paneer was okay. Naan was pretty good.
The food was very good...the portions were a little smaller than I am used to from other Indian cuisine serving restaurants...but well worth the price..
A lovely eating out experience. Attentive service. Large portions of delicious food.
Great food and a lovely ambience!Had an awesome lunch here with family and we will definitely be back!
Great ambiance and decor. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Pleasant background music playing at low volume. Definitely recommend for Indian food...
Food is good.
Very nice Indian Food. They also charge Service Fee which is 10% of your bill amount.
Excellent customer service and the chicken masala is to die ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice family place to have dinner.
Good foodA bit too priceyService average
Very nice currys. The butter Nan was scrumptious
Good food and a cosy place. Enjoyed the evening out
Great interior design and Indian food
Good Indian food in Zambia, made by all Indian Kitchen staff
Excellent service, delicious food, great variety on the menu and the seating area was elegant and comfortable.

The butter chicken is always great!
This place has nice food and great service. BBQ Chicken, Mutton Masala and Garlic Naan
Very good service. Nice and clean and very well ventilated. Lovely Staff.
Great location although parking is difficult. Delicious food and great service in the restaurant
The food is good but there were mosquitoes and aircon was not giving proper air
Service delivery was amazing. The food was delicious. Very eloquent. Staff are friendly and hospitable.
My favourite Indian restaurant in Lusaka. The food here is delicious and well-presented. Service is also friendly and fast. The interior is nice but doesn’t feel inviting for a long and social dinner.
Food was average . In the menu you have all the individual dishes name but in reality they are not able to do justice to that name. Very said.Service is dam poor .
Situated at Acacia Park on Thabo Mbeki road. We ordered a murgh sizzler, fish butter masala, butter naan, steamed rice & mixed vegetable raita. We didnt have to wait too long for the food, about 15 to 20 minutes. The food was tasty & served to us nice & warm. The spice level was exactly what we asked for, HOT. Our only complaint on the food was that we had a few small bones in the fish which was supposed to be boneless and pose a choking hazard. The ambiance is great and the service was ok. It wasnt packed but Fridah seemed to be waiting on all the tables with people available.
Some dishes are good but some are below average...somehow all the dishes gives a similar taste little pricey though
Visited the restaurant yesterday night with friends, food quality and taste was fantastic as usual. But the service was a big turn off, we had placed our order on starters at around 21 pm and got served at 22.30, we had to skip the main course due to the delay. The manager and the waiter Harrison, lacked basic courtesy, despite of repeated reminders they had a laid back response.I am sure the management of Royal Dil takes up the issue with their staff, lack of efficiency on the staffs part might effect their business.
One of the Best indian restaurants in town. Never ever disappointed with the taste or service.
Im staying as a guest in Lusaka and my friends suggested going for an early dinner at the Royal Dil, as they know that I love Indian cuisine. I was not disappointed. The curried butter chicken served with naan bread was delicious. I only wish I had saved some room for desert. The wait staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing us even with mosquito spray as we had forgotten ours. The next time I am in Lusaka, I will certainly return here for a meal.
Last visted in September 2020; food was good, service was excellent. Located in a safe place with ample parking in the evening, Day time parking can be a challenge as the place has a number of offices with limited space compared to occupied occupied office space.
Always a favourite for Indian dishes. The portions sizes are great and the food is so flavour full. The service is also good. During the COVID period, they keep the surfaces sanitised.
Food was really delicious and service was good aswell.. authentic indian dishes and the taste of each dish is exceptional
I visited this place first in early 2018. Then, It used to be a great Indian restaurant in Lusaka. Perhaps the best one. But towards the end of 2019, i dont know what happened here, food quality and taste largely detirorated... Service also.not upto the mark. Prices are high and above that they charge 10% service fee.
The decor is beautiful. The table service is amazing. The food is good. The ambience, vibe and lighting is calming. Waiters are friendly. The entire block as great restaurants. The entrance confused us , we almost went to chai thai restaurant . Its definitely a foodie spot when craving Indian food.
Indian restaurant. All kinds of Indian dishes are available. This is just opposite Emirates Office. They serve really good portion and the taste is good. They have bar also. Plenty of parking available. Sometimes during the weekend it gets very busy.
Very good food. Their Butter Naan is to die for. They have very nice waitstaff. All in all a good experience. However theyre very pricy even where I feel its unnecessary. However, we have different budgets so definitely go there to eat.
The food is spicy and we like it.
The food color got stuck in the fingers even after washing.Chicken Biryani rice (They cooked rice in The morning and using the same rice all the dayis hard and full of color. The sizzlers is full of soy sauce, not in Indian style, no spices. Not recommended for Indian taste.
The place is yummmm as it soundsThe food is out of yhe worldBest chef ever!
A nice place with a lovely ambience. Seating is comfortable. Malai Tikka was the best dish there. Prices were a bit on the higher side but its definitely worth it.
Amazing delicious Indian food, you will not miss India, they serve excellent African red wine
One of the oldest Indian restaurants in Zambia, and a go too for many Lusaka residents. The food is still very good, and they have proven nothing but consistency over the years.
