What a hidden gem of a restraunt, we expected normal pub food but we were very wrong. The food was beautiful throughout, very fresh and good value for money. The staff were outstanding with thier service which is rare these days. I cant recommend it enough.

Quite expensive but very good quality. Steak was cooked perfect for me. Managed to squeeze in a delicious pud as well

Gem of a place. We visited here after a weekend away in Shipley, looking for some good pub grub on the way home and we saw the reviews on Google and it did not disappoint. This place is fantastic! Inside is very modern and bright. The toilets, spotless and very modern. Friendly staff and the food is fantastic. By far the best meal I had all weekend. Highly recommended. You dont have the views as it is near an industrial estate and right next to houses but I would definitely visit again if in the area.

Stopped by for a drink on a bike ride. Its just a short ride from Low Moor Station on the cycle path.Pub looked really nice inside. Would consider stopping here for something to eat next time.

Good food, helpful staff and reasonably priced. Doesnt pretend to be something it isnt as is all the better for it.

We had garlic mushrooms which were great. Fish and chips were slightly cold and the batter was soft. We had Eton mess top marks for that. Our table enjoyed all their meals.

Great value for money. Had the small meat pie, honestly couldnt have handled a large one. Absolutely packed with meat. Homemade chips, peas and beautiful gravy . Staff were very friendly and attentive.

First time visit here , lovely food and atmosphere, lovely staff will definitely visit again.

Nice staff , nice clean pub but the meal was not as good as I had expected , to be fair I have only had I meal there but will not be going again to eat

Had a steak burger. Nothing on the menu to say it is served pink. Sent it back and it came back pink. Inedible. Wasn’t offered discount. Paid almost £50 and came home hungry.

Very sad, humiliating experience my party and I received on our visit to the royal from the manager .He was very rude. His attitude let his team down who work very hard .I ordered a pizza . When it came I quietly explained to the waitress that the pizza was not cooked enough and unable to eat it and please take it away . The waitress asked if I would like it cooked more or order anything else .I declined saying , no I didnt want to eat warmed up pizza and waiting for another meal to be made would take too long and my party would have eaten there meals before a new meal arrived .I was happy not to pay for the pizza and sit a talk to my party while they ate there meals .A few minutes later the manager came to our table and spoke abruptly over our heads at us and asked what was wrong with the pizza .When I tried to explain that the pizza was not cooked enough and cold leaving the mozzarella like dough . The manager was rude and contradicting.I had to say to the manager I would not argue with him and to stop showing my party and me up in front of everyone in the pub and to go away from our table .There was more rudeness from this manager later on in the evening . And once again I had to ask him to go away and I would not argue with him and to stop showing us up in front of the pub .To his reply was there are two side to every story and he was incharge of the review website and he had control to take down any bad reviews he did not like.My party was a group of 7 ladys ageing from over 50s to 90 .Why would we want to argue and spoil our evening.

As always, fantastic food, considerate staff and a great experience. A good choice of food with regularly changing specials; it is more than your standard pub grub but still at reasonable prices.

Excellent pub. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. The place was buzzing on a Friday evening. Great menu with lots of choices. Clean and tidy environment. Not cheap but good quality food and great service. I would definitely recommend.

100% gorgeous food.There was 8 of us all had something different to eat all of us absolutely enjoyed every single bite.We have already rebooked to come again.

Stunning meal, great staff and you can tell they enjoyed there jobs, me and my wife tried the fish sandwich and cheesy garlic bread this time and it was great. The Chipotle coleslaw was a revelation and worked great with the super crispy fish. This place is a must try if its a quick lunch or a big meal out well worth it. Thank you.

Amazing find I visited this place twice in one week each time the standards were outstanding the food was 💯% staff 💯% Went with my friend for a Friday lunch because it was so good took my family on the Sunday for Sunday roast outside you think average but once you are through those doors and you taste the amazing food you simply forget outside.It is winter so probably not looking its best i have eaten in many 5.7 star places including michlin star 🌟 this place takes some beating hats of to the Chef and his staff.👍👍👍

The food was really good, prices ££ portions large to very large and nothing too much trouble for the staff. We had a variety of food from Mexican goujons, pies, beef to fish in a bloomer. Attentive staff made this a very enjoyable experience. There were 8 of us and not one complaint, which is very good. We will be revisiting often.

So I have just had the steak at the royal. It was the best steak I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. I would like to compliment the chef and say what a fantastic bit of steak you cooked. The staff are very friendly.

Came with a big family group for the festive menu , it was absolutely superb .Food was fantastic , huge portions and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us .They have a great selection of beers in glasses from the fridge, for people who love cold beer it was a perfect night.Thank you all so much, all the group saying they will be heading back to The Royal 😀

Im currently sat in here. Having had a Christmas dinner which was fabulous and tasty and very filling. Still will be forcing a dessert down . The staff as always are very attentive cuteous and pleasant. The atmosphere is good and we werent rushed.The 3 course Christmas Dinner well worth the price.

Visited here with my three sisters for an overdue catch up for lunch. Pub not too busy. New and changed menu since our last visit. Prices have increased although still pretty good value. Service was good and staff friendly. We all four enjoyed our lunch. Thank you. I would recommend.😊

Wow!! A little gem, very deceptive from its outside appearance and location. Step in side and its a bright well presented and very busy restaurant. Staff a plenty, well dressed and helpful. Food is amazing, well presented and ample choice. Had many family meals here and will have many more.

Cracking pub dont let its tucked away location deter you! A warm, friendly welcome awaits you in clean, pleasant and comfortable surroundings. The food? Well let me tell you, you will not be disappointed! If you have a healthy appetite I doubt you will be left hungry. A varied menu has something to tempt everyone. In a hurry at lunchtime? They let you order ahead but to be honest their service is pretty quick anyway.
