15 Pond St, Hampstead, London NW3 2PN, Caxito
19th-century pub with arched windows, an open fireplace and leather armchairs, plus heated garden.
Lovely place with great outdoor area and good me u for food a d drinks. A little expensive if you ask me but you get what you pat for
Warm atmosphere, great interiors, and friendly bubbly staff. Definitely a good choice if you opt for your Sunday Roast, which is good.Dessert delicious.(They don’t have the lamb roast)
Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Stunning dining room and outrageously good food. Pulled pork mac n cheese to start..? Yes please
I havent been here for 15 years and really enjoyed a couple of pints. As nice atmosphere and very clean toilets. We will definitely come back again.Thanks.
Our regular. Great garden. Could be more variety in the food.
Lovely atmospheric pub! Had some very nice sandwiches here and good service.
The lovely waitress Aidia (if I’m rightmade such a big difference. Definitely will go back.
There are only 2 places to have a drink in open air in whole of Hampstead and H. Heath area. (Not counting restaurants)Thats a frustrating reality.Roebuck is one of them, although small.
Great pub!! Nice food and good beers
Nice pub with a pleasant garden. Serve GF beer in bottle
I’m in the Roebuck as I write this review, it’s extremely hot and extremely busy as I sit in the garden with 5 others.Willy has made a true and honest effort to see that we have ordered sharpish and received everything in very good timing. It’s rare in the hospitality industry now a days, that you get a true professional who is genuinely smiling with the customer.Manager Scott and the rest of the Roebuck management need to recognise Willy and staff like Willy.
Really nice bar. Never gets overly busy so really good for a chilled out evening with friends.Staff are great and drinks are always poured well with care would highly recommend
Went for dinner dont suggest anyone goes there for dinner. Food quality was very poor. Service ok.
We booked this for an extended family meal including our dog, extremely accommodating to everyone’s preferences and needs (again including the dog!and just a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and amazing food, we will be back again soon.
We have been coming here for years but until tonight they have never gone out of there way to properly look after us. Thanks Willy and Keira xxx
Like having dinner in the smoker’s lounge of Reno Airport. Ashtrays at every table and cigarette smoke wafting at you as you eat, Roebuck’s lovely outside garden turns pretty nice food into a flashback of 1970s smoke-filled pubs with no non-smoking sections to escape the burning cancer sticks. Too bad.
One of the best places I have been for lunch and drinks. The staff is super nice and the ambiance is just what you want. Highly recommended!
Could be great. Very hurried and stressed bar staff who maybe didn’t regard their customers as their priority
Excellent venue for a gathering. I am so grateful that they made a big effort for the funeral I arranged and the guests were very pleased with the atmosphere and the food. Thank you
Lovely youngs pub with a beer garden at the back. Good drink selection at reasonable prices. Food looked amazing although I did not tried it
Amazing place to hang out with friends or family. Loved the ambience and super friendly staff. Had the signature Sunday roast chicken, and absolutely loved it. The variety of drinks and beer is quite impressive. Highly recommended! must visit.
One of the best pubs in Hampstead. Cosy ambiance and friendly staff. Service was quick and efficient. Perfect for a nice lunch with family. I ordered chicken roast and enjoyed every bite of it. Totally recommended!
We spent our afternoon in the garden and we had such a great time, the garden Is lovely.Good environment and friendly staffespecially *Estella* , shes been so helpful with her recommendations of gluten free dishes from the menu as Im intolerant , thank you!!!!
Very nice Sunday Roast. Warm and cozy ambiance.
Had lunch in the garden area and it was lovely. Food and service brilliant!
Terrible service; too many mistakes, too little apologies. Swapping a side for another (lower pricedside from the menu makes them charge you double - unless you ask for the itemized bill and point it out. Avoid.
Excellent management, fantastic service from the staff. Sunday roast was the best we had in the area. What we love about this pub is that its still a pub with great pub vibes we really enjoyed the garden see you soon!
Great pub with a lovely beer garden and good friendly vibes. Visited for the first time for drinks had a good evening.
We came for bank holiday lunch the food and service was superb the manager he was very accommodating and looked after us so well. The Scotch eggs are exceptional and the burgers to die for. The garden is a very relaxing space and my whole family thoroughly enjoyed
Not particularly good value for money - Sunday lunch was served luke warm, and the size of the Yorkshire claimed most of the plate, hence a meager amount of vegetables, but the Yorkie is very nice ! (Childrens meals lacks nutritional value - chips & burger - without any extras !)Overall a lack lustre performance & nutritional value from an overpriced Sunday Lunch - TrevOR
I had not been in this Pub since the late 1970s.Today as we were in the area we decided to have lunch in The Robuck as you would expect it had totally charged and modernised. Back in the 70s it was always frequented by TV stars and minor celebs. We found the food to be excellent good value and totally enjoyed our lunch. The staff were friendly and very efficient.5 stars all the way.
I honestly cannot believe how much they charged for one of the worst pub roasts I’ve ever had. I’ve been a chef for 13 years and would never usually leave a review as I understand how difficult it can be. However, this was not only an awful roast but it was completely over priced. Day light robbery and an absolute disgrace.
Friendly service, good food and drink choice. Dog friendly and lovely fire, would definitely visit again. Food took quite a while was the only minor but would definitely visit again.
Great pub in hampstead with a very cosy feel and welcome service. Definitely recommend sitting by the fireplace for a nice pint in the winter.Staff were excellent and very relaxed, ordering via the app or by the bar was very easy and quick.Good taps on offer, definitely try something different.Excellent experience, thank you.If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews!
Cosy pub and excellent service. Shout out to the manager, the Christmas decorations look fabulous darling 😊
I must say thank you so much for the food for he service for nice environment here.We love the roast chicken and Beef I wish the gravy was a bit more but we enjoyed the food. The staff were so so nice, that you can’t expect more.Love it thank you
This pub has a cosy feel to the inside with lots if comfortable seating and decent beer selection. It has a nice secluded beer garden that is somewhat covered for the rain. The staff are incredibly friendly and there is a decent atmosphere on a Friday/Saturday evening. The food is also quite good, though I did not eat on this occasion. Its not one full of 20 year olds
The food has slipped a lot in quality... we had a Sunday roast which was sub-par and extortionate at £20!Great service, and lovely space though. Stick to the drinks and it should be okay.Management need to sort out the toilets - broken seats and generally always very dirty.
Was a barman here 40+ years ago, so a trip down memory lane. Bar area almost unchanged apart a coat of paint, and new extension into the garden. On a Friday night would have been packed in my day….. Very nice freshly prepared pub food, liked the app ordering although a bit fiddly. Good friendly service. Only observation felt pricy - for a meal for two, couple of drinks before and a bottle of wine c.£110 🤷♂️
Covered and heated outdoor dining area, oddly surrounded by quite tall buildings.Staff were very friendly and helpful, good quality food, wide selection of drinks. Ordering only by app, but arrived quickly. It slowly dawned on us that the night time birdsong we were hearing was actually nightingales.
Place was lovely with heaters and a covering and service was good with lovely food and wine list also. The app was a bit more tricky to use when not used to it but easy enough once we got the hang of it. Good vegetarian options too which was nice.
A top experience - staff well prepared and the young’s app makes ordering easy. Would go again
Myself and three other good friends booked meal and drinks at Roebuck last Friday 4th December and was in the garden area to start with no parasol heaters on our end. However staff were accommodating and found us lovely seating area with parasol heating. Thanks for keeping us warm and we all enjoyed the evening with beers and meal ... have to say food and hospitality provided by staff and management was excellent and they took orders from us . Will visit again and much appreciated for bringing a smile to our face during pandemic times .Raj
I went for a Christmas dinner with my colleagues to the pub. A nice cosy environment for sure with busy and lovely people serving you. Unfortunately the Christmas meal/share was not as expected. The meal in general was very average - the traditional turkey Christmas meal was awful. To be honest the worst I have ever had in my life, its a shame. The drinks were amazing. The presentation was amazing too.
Incredible Thanksgiving spread! Better than your average Sunday roast as well. Best we have had in London and not sure we could have cooked it better ourselves, it tasted home made. Great wait staff as well, Natalia was very accommodating. We will certainly be back!
Gastronomic pub, good welcoming and atmosphere, I like it!Recommended
Organised a surprise 40th for my other half on Saturday night. From original telephone call to the event, the service was fantastic. Manager was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The Fawn bar downstairs is the perfect setting with good furnishings and decor. The food was incredible and piping hot.All the guests commented how great the night was and how perfect the venue was. Thanks Roebuck team!
Nice pub in a good location, halfway between Hampstead underground & overground. Has an area outside for seating which is sizeable and the place was clean and looked after. Has Camden larger and Beavertown on tap, which is nice as theyre both relatively local brews.
What do you say about The Roebuck? Excellent, more of an eatery than a pub, but welcoming to both drinkers and diners. Lovely staff who look after you and care about your experience. I recommend a visit.
This is a classic local English pub. It has good local lagers on tap like Camden. It has some good real ales. The food is excellent with a wide range of dishes -- from classic Sunday roasts to cauliflower salads. Its not going to blow you away but its good pub food. The best part is the good sized garden where they play sporting events.
