Great bar, friendly staff and excellent food at a good price.
The food is wonderful! Have been there a couple times and will go many more! Kudos to the chef and the very nice barman/server.
Very friendly and food amazing for the price be back again
Its a bar, its fine. The space is nice and not too drunk/sticky. Good view of the town. Cocktails are very sweet, so stay with whiskey or beer.
The rocker is one of my favorite eating places, good menu selection, lovely food and great prices.
Weve had a lovely sunday lunch/dinner at the Rocking Chair. Its a nice, spacy place with tables and chairs in and outside and situated next to the Derry Wall, inbetween the Diamond and the Bogside. The food is great, the prices are good and theres always a lively atmosphere. One of my favorite places to eat in Derry town.
Great bar. Great prices. Awesome food
Excellent pub grub and even though I was driving and had a Heineken zero, Id go back for a proper pint when in Derry next time. Great location for a meal and a tipple if you are doing the Derry Walls walk right near the Butchers Gate.
So friendly - went there with the clipper race when we arrived. the landlord opened up (not the barat 8am to let us watch the NZ rugby game.Brought us so much delicious food (wouldn’t let us pay…and made us feel at home. What a welcome!
Great spot for live music 🎼
Great quiet wee bar.
Really disappointing. Took over an hour for food to come and bar was not busy. Staff seemed inexperienced and disinterested.Had to chase 3 times and when it became apparent order hadnt been placed _ instead of an apology ( as do understand mistakes happenwe were accused of lying about the time we placed our order! No offer to resolve or compensate. We only stayed as my son was so hungry. Just as well we have been to city before as really not good example of hospitality!
Singer/Entertainer Michael Doherty was good craicVery entertainingMusic just a tad too loud
I would say its the best pub in Derry, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and spotlessly clean. Top marks.
Great music atmosphere and staff
Lovely friendly bar. Good selection of beer and spirits.
Noël helped us out finding a place to dine . He arranged a table Fitzroys’ Afterwards we had a great time at the pub. We learned a lot about Northern Ireland. Thanks Noël 🙏
The food is excellent! Decent sized portions, very tasteful and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly too. Definitely recommend!
The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was very nice and helped us with our choice. We ordered the coliflower, two chicken dishes, the battered fish and the chilli squid and we left super full and the price was more than reasonable
Good food and service. Serves a good pint of Guinness.
We were greeted by a wonderful bartender named Noel. He showed us around the pub and regaled us with info about the surrounding area of Derry/Londonderry. Prices were fair and the pours were excellent. I would highly recommend this pub if youre interested in a traditional Irish Pub.
Nice bar. Good music. However ladies toilets filthy. When reported to bar staff not really worried. Need more staff to cover toilets. Husband used disabled toilets. Also stinking!!!
Excellent pub, Great food, wonderful service!
Had a great meal, service was great will go back again x
Enjoyable for the younger generations but not for me. Used to love going to this bar when it was my age group and there was a great band on.Everyone. dressed up and danced. Was so disappointed it had turned into a rave. Wont be back
We were passing through late and came in for a drink and some food. We were told that the kitchen already closed, but the manager of the place was incredibly helpful and even called a few places up for us. We ended up getting carry-out nearby and bringing our dinner back here. Noel even set us up with a booth when we got back. He even sat down with us and shared Derrys history with us and gave us places to walk to. Really just an overall amazing place.
Long established pub in Derry, one of the cheapest pints of guinness in the town, does very good pub grub and a great pint of guinness. Live music.
This place was amazing I got the chilli squid fries cheese and pepperoni bites batches chicken bites and colliflower popcorn and let me tell you it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life I can’t recommend this place enough such a friendly atmosphere and such nice helpful staff if you are in Derry you need to try this place you will NOT regret it trust me 💕 10/10
Great bar lovely atmosphere, super food great staff and very reasonably priced.
Stayed in Derry last weekend and found this wee bar. Was so impressed with the cocktails. The barman knew how to make a good cocktail. Bar itself was friendly and relaxed.
Fantastic food, clean place, very nice staff and amazing service. Highly recommended!
Great pints, Guinness is superb, friendly staff, unfortunately they show Liverpool matches but no ones perfect ggmu
Always my favourite place to go when back home friendly bar staff and very attentive.
Nice comfortable pub and the food is excellent, with a variety of vegetarian options. Great staff too, we had a good time
Great wee place, good atmosphere, the 2 young fellas on group last night (Fri 15th octwere fantastic, a great mix of old and new music
Serves a good Guinness. Staff very friendly . Quiet ambiance. Didnt get to try the beer garden , but will the next time .
Great beer garden. Great food and good prices. Friendly staff.
Happened to wander into this bar while on a short staycation in Derry. Nice clean bar. The staff were friendly and efficient and the locals very welcoming. I will certainly call in again next time Im in the Maiden City.
We were in the beer garden which was covered and had heaters but downside was we were surrounded by smokers - not had that in years. Staff were pleasant and helpful, always asked if we were ok when they passed. Live? Music was good but very loud.
Best pub food in Derry by a mile.Great pints of stout also!
Great bar. Nice atmosphere with excellent staff.
Lovely pub...great scenery..top man put on the GAA (Tipp Vs Clare)..thunderstorm and downpour just added to the experience..loved it ❤❤❤🍺🍺🍺
The food in here was brilliant. Lovely bar , good drinks, friendly staff
Great bar with good music for the more mature. Tuesday nights especially good with music by John Trotter and the great Gay McIntyre, on the tenor sax, just wonderful.
Much more comfortable then the pubs with multiple bouncers outside the bars, great welcoming feeling! Gay McIntyre and John Trotter were playing live and it was fantastic
One of the best bars in the city local people who know there history and are friendly and welcoming .The pints are nice and the bar in a great location on waterloo street ,very close to hotels and is centered on the outside of the citys famous Walls .
