Simple, child-friendly chain pub/restaurant serving grilled dishes, salads, burgers and steaks.
Didnt have what I was after for my first choice but decided to have the mixed grill. Cant go wrong 👍🏻
Good food served promptly, very good waitress in Tina, would recommend if in Stevenage.
Food was awful. The staff were however lovely and deserve medals.
We had a lovely meal and the staff were great, very polite and helpful. But the bread rolls were stale. It didnt bother me too much because the rest of the food was great.
Loved the service and the nicely cooked food. Even given a little bowl to have salad while we waited. There were no rolls but it was quiot though was monday. Very Clean and tidy. Had the Chicken trio, the cajun had spicey kick to it the chicken leg was little dry. My friend had the same but with corn 🌽 and my other best mate loved his pulled pork burger. Too full for pudding. Delicious 😋
Great service and lovely breakfast served nice and hot. Excellent value for money
The staff are very friendly, which made the experience more enjoyable. The food was good. It was a great evening. Will go again. Lots of variety to choose from the menu. Salad bar was good. The only downside was the bread rolls were dry.
The service was poor, items not available from the menu and only told this once food was delivered for rest of group. Ice cream had partly melted for one person but OK for another. Looked like it had been kept under the heat lamps. No bread rolls. There was nothing positive about the visit.
We all enjoyed it,the lady that served us has been there for a while and she is always welcoming, friendly, polite and efficient
Went today and had the best service from Renelle (hope the spelling is correctshe was great at her job and was very kind, she thought we waited too long for our starters, as did I but I didnt consider complaining for a second. She apologised and said she had spoken to a manager and had taken our starters off the bill. Such a kind gesture and the food was spot on, will definitely be going back.
Salad selection very poor (no coleslaw, egg, etc). Very noisy. Dessert was poor (e.g. crumble topping and not baked!!). Main course was ok.
The customer service provided by the waitress was absolutely fantastic! The menu is varied and the food is well presented. The only downside was that the food arrived at our table a little cold. We didn’t complain because we had to wait quite long for the food to arrive and it was getting late.
Pleasant waitress. Lack of ingredients in sallad bar eg most containers almost empty no tomatoes. Long list of sallad dressing but only 3available and 2 were empty. Person from kitchen to refill them very polite and apologised for the wait but was wearing the most filthy apron I have ever seen. The crumble for desert was uncooked, fruit was hot topping stone cold. Waitress offered to heat as though raw topping was normal. When it came to pay none of the staff had any idea how to use the Groupon voucher at one point there was 5of them trying to sort it. Eventually they got the amount right and said oh you should have had a different menu. I pointed out I had told the waitress before we ordered and they said she didnt know. I dont think we will be back
Food okay but restaurant high traffic areas and doors covered in grime. This place hasnt been cleaned properly in a long time and during covid times too. Service efficient whilst busy ... 7pm on a Friday.
Didnt seem very busy mid weeks, so that was a bonus. Salad cart was well stocked, and staff very helpful. Food was well presented, again another consistently good performance from the team at Harvester. Not too busy before 6pm
Overall enjoyed meal and drinks.Service was very good.Salad bar was excellent. Two drawbacks.1 Battered mushroom were not very nice.2 cheesy garlic bread was too thick.
My mum abd and I had lovely Lunch yesterday 7th of September. The food was hot well presented. Nice friendly atmosphere and very good customer service especially from Casey. I will definitely some back with family and friends.
We love it here. The service and staff are lovely. One particular special mention goes to Adam. He never forgets us and always makes us so welcome. He is a credit to you! Treat him well xx we Ofc will be back!
Love the Harvester for its Salad Bar, but tonight very disappointing ! Lettuce peices too big, also brown edges, No potato salad, most of the pots were nearly empty, with no sign of someone refilling, Bread rolls were nice but no Side plates in sight to use. Butters had nearly run out. Main I chose the 1983 combo, chicken small and didnt taste fresh or hot, Ribs with Combo also disappointing, Sweetcorn did not melt the butter. Dessert was refunded as the strawberries and Raspberry Eaton Mess, had less than 1 whole strawberry, no raspberries and half melted icecream. I travelled there from Cambridge, so not just round corner, sad to be disappointed especially when I know, with the right manager and team, Harvester is capable of so much more !! Being busy should not reduce standards. Why is there not a Harvester near Cambridge? Thanks for reading my review snapshot.
Fabulous, uber-cool restaurant. My daughter and I had lunch there last Saturday. The tasting menu is fantastic. Pricey but worth it. A wonderful experience.
Absolutely stunning cant fault it for a second. By far one of the best burger Iv had in a long while so thank you harvester for makeing me a HAPPY AND WELL FED GUY
The decor and cleanliness in the ladies toilets is dyer it needs a complete revamp, there is mould from the air dryers going up the wall, toilets out of use and a tap that wouldnt turn off. Its outdated and i wouldnt go back again
Had a really good experience here the staff were very welcoming especially our waiter Mitchell holding our food back when we had to pop outside also knew how to have a laugh which was appropriated the food was lovely shame we couldn’t finish it as it’s very filling !
Lovely presentation luv the plate. Fair price.
The food was very tasty and delicious. Excellent service provided by our server Adam. He was superb!Great value for money. Never go wrong at the Harvester.
Sadly a poor review. Stars are for the waitress who could not try to do enough to try and make our time great there. The food though was poor overcooked steak, melted icecreams with funny tasting brownies and cheesecake, food looked as though it had been thrown on the huge square plates. And basically half plate of chips. Not much selection to salad bar either but staff were friendly and very helpful. Sadly won’t be returning
Great food. Great service and Great staff.Went here for my brothers birthday with around ten other family members. Considering the size of the family, the food was faster than expected and it tasted great.Friendly staff.
Me and my partner enjoyed this place very much, the quality of food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to be brought out to us either! Members of staff were nice and welcoming. Special mention to Mitchell, who in my opinion was the best waiter I’ve ever had, anywhere. He was polite, helpful and even brought humour to the table aswell. Definitely made our experience that much better. Would recommend this place to anyone 👍
Very disappointed food was cold and took nearly 45 minutes to arrive for 2 people. Peoples food under hot lights for quite a while before being taken out to customers. Its a shame as always had good breakfast there.
Steak was spot onServed by Mitchell, made my day lolWhat a lad 👏*UpdateMitchell still a legend (geeza with mohawk)Bbq King burger is top tier 😋
Great service, food exactly how it should be very nice, salad bar well stocked, clean restaurant with very nice staff. Cant fault a thing about this place. It just keeps getting better and Agnus the waitress is got to be the best ever
The staff were very efficient and friendly. The meal was lovely, we ate everything which did not leave enough room for a dessert!!
Really good customer service from the waiters, got served by a guy with tattoos. Food was really good too, will defo be back. Highly recommend ‘The Dirty One’
Had a lovely lunch. The waiter was lovely helpful. I have special dietary requirements and together we found something I could eat. The only downside is they dont have a separate menue for gluten or dairy free options and its not marked on the main menu either so unless you have a good knowledge of what you can and cant eat this could be a problem.
I mentioned that one of our party has a guide dog, and was pleased to find we were seated in an area which was very suitable, the dog was able to be out of the way and my friend had plenty of space for the harness etc
Overall it was a very good experience, the staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was quickly prepared and tasted delicious. The only downside was the self service salad bar is no longer self service, this caused a bottle neck for most of the time I was there. Bit of a deal breaker.
Ordered through just eat only thing we got were severly bad stomachs. Allergy notes not followed order was all wrong. Chicken werent even cooked properly pulled pork chips where the size of a tea spoon of pulled pork... restaurant wouldnt take ownership just eat wont take responsibility so 70 pound lost for good.... shame its not in bodyfat fr being so ill but there we go... awful place awful food
Great service! The food came quickly and our waitress was really lovely. Food tasted great and good selection on the salad bar.
Did not enjoy our experience at all. Very noisy seats were near the door so kept getting draft. My wifes salmon was overcooked, my steak was cooked to medium as I asked but was charred really heavily on the outside and was cold in the middle
Staff were friendly and helpful. Took allergies seriously and food arrived in a reasonable amount on time and was extremely good quality. Only let down was being given dirty glasses for the refill but these were replaced straight away by our server.
Its cheap and not bad. Not great either but you get what you pay for and for that its hard to grumble.Good for families but this also translates as avoid at busy times if you dont have kids.Very strange hangover from Covid is there was a young man at the salad bar who collects the salad you point at then gives you the bowl when full.
Food ok/decent overall - what you’d expect from a Harvester. Excellent service from Courtney who was the highlight.Edit: after leaving this, half our party had food poisoning and it looks like others that visited this week did too. Needs looking into.
Quick service to be seen to our table, friendly waiting staff and seems as we were a big group they were patient and happy to assist with any queries. Calming atmosphere, quick food service including at the Salad Bar.
Really happy with our experience here. Leah our server was great, and the food was tasty. Nice big portion sizes
The waitress was lovely is really the only thing I could say was good about the experience. We had to replace a chair one of us had as it was ripped and torn, as were many of the chairs in the restaurant. This is the second time we have visited in the last 6 weeks, and then as the same Wednesday, there were many things missing from the menu.I had to ask for the vegetables to be replaced, they were foul. They looked very old, withered and tasted awful. My friend had the same meal and her vegetables looked lush and green. Finally, I went to the toilet and 2 of the 3 cubicles had no lock on. I spoke to the manager about this and he said that there had been a problem the day before with two children getting themselves locked in the toilets so they had had to remove the locks. I asked why they had not been replaced and he said a company had to come in and do it. I was told I could use the disabled toilet. Why was there not a sign at the entrance to the ladies toilet telling me of this! The restaurant really looks very sad and in need of refurbishment. Not a pleasant experience for me and my 3 friends. We have now decided to go to another restaurant when we meet up agiain in 6 weeks.
Took the little one for something to eat. She enjoyed herself and the treat. Picked her meal and her own salad bits. The staff where lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed our food. It was a busy evening but by time we had done salad our food arrived.
Always happy with the quality at Harvester!Firstly, friendly and welcoming staff members from greeting, seating, salad bar, food ordering and getting the bill. The food quality was very good, generous portions and good quality control even when it was a busy night there. Went away stuffed and satisfied.
Lovely evening at harvester great food great service table of nine brilliant waitress Fri 4th march
Bit different after the pandemic, salads are served by their staff, bread rolls were very dry. Staff was very friendly and professional, food was great for the friendly price but I did send the mojito cocktail back as glass was dirty and had red markings inside it.We chose the starter tapas, chicken wings, sweetcorn ribs & prawns serving time was great not too long a wait. Flatbread was great too cant fault them.
my girlfriend and I had dinner here this evening. courteous, friendly staff and the food was great 👍I had mixed grill and the steak was just how I asked for it and my girlfriend had the rump steak which was just how she asked for.I had the Rocky horror desert and my girlfriend had the waffle with ice cream and couldnt fault it at all, very tasty. The buttons on my shirt were being tested by the time we left!!! 😂I didnt get the young ladies name that was serving us, but she couldnt of been more polite and friendly if she tried. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we were OK, had everything we needed and were happy, without being intrusive.A great visit and would happily visit again
