The River Mill - Pub in San Marino, San Marino
Beautifully located on the river. We enjoyed a tasty lunch outside with table service. If the small car park is full it is easy to park on the road. Definitely worth a return visit.
Amazing service, food and atmosphere.I had my wedding reception here in September, the staff could not have done enough. They set the table in such a beautiful way. The service was incredible. The food was really good, very good size portions.I cant recommend this place highly enough.
Just a normal pub. Pool table darts friendly staff. Nice seated area with food truck
ordered 2 cold drinks from Bar. sat in garden for 15mins, still no drinks brought out. went in and asked what was happening. then waitress can out with a pad to take our order, she was told we had already ordered and paid £11 for the drinks and to get them to us now!! full of apologises and excuses about to many hot drinks to serve... bit of advice, if customers order cold drinks first, then serve people in the order that they order them in, not put them to the back of the queue. Disappointed, heard all the excuses before, get yourselves more organised!
The setting is beautiful by the river, the service is efficient and friendly. The food is great, especially the Mac n cheese and Korean Sticky Chicken. Oh and did I mention they have the biggest Gin menu Ive seen anywhere outside of speciality London bars! Fantastic local pub. They do wood fired pizzas from Friday night through the weekend with some tasty options. They do offer coffee and cake during the day too.
Some days it’s great and other it’s notService can be painfully slow and menus has regularly had lots of items not availableGood when it’s goodGreat location. Can be hit and miss
I’ve not been in this pub for circa 8 years and what a shame it’s so tired and rundown. They are also still operating strict COVID-19 rules, which is bizarre in August 2022 and when no other pub in the land is doing so? Either way, I would not recommend.
The chef was so understanding of our dietary requirements. The way they handle Gluten Free is outstanding. Dont be afraid to tell them the scale of sensitivity, it will benefit you and them.Cant wait to go back.
Lovely setting, we had some nice food and great service.
A tranquil oasis tucked away by the river in St.Neots. Excellent food, great service and gorgeous views. Will be back!
Lee is one of the most accommodating chefs we have ever met. We look forward to dining at The River Mill very soon!
Had a lovely evening here. Was a great atmosphere and loved being so close to the river and people walking by with dogs. Staff are very friendly and the food was nice. We will visit again
Location seems to be about the only nice thing I can say for it. Its a pub - but STILL table service only. So you take a seat and wait - and wait - and wait - and eventually give up and go somewhere else.
Menu is mainly Burgers....OK if you like Burgers. Food was fine but if you prefer traditional pub grub (Steak, bangers & mash, fish etcthis isnt the place to eat.
This is a great place! The food is amazing, the service friendly and very attentive.. I loved it.
Wonderful place to have a drink or a bite to eat in a Riverside setting. Reasonable prices, sit in and enjoy the ambiance or outside under the shade of umbrellas with the view of the marina. Staff were excellent and attentive to our needs
Superb situation, if you want to sit in shaded spot with view of River you will have to make a reservation. The pizza oven remains open throughout the day even when the kitchen is closed.Opening HoursMon - Thu10:30 am - 10:00 pmFri - Sat10:30 am - 11:00 pmSunday10:30 am - 10:00 pmMon-Fri - (Lunch food 12:00 - 14:45& (Dinner 18:00 - 20:15)Sat - (Food served 12:00 - 15:45& (Dinner 18:00 – 20:45)Sun - (Lunch served 12:00-15:45)
A lovely pub, which we walked to along the river.I have food intolerances, and the chef/staff dealt with this very well and we enjoyed very tasty food.Very dog friendly.Overall such a lovely friendly vibe from all the staff.Would definitely visit again.
Nice enough food but not brilliant. It was a mixed bag really! The calamari was oddly dry and overcooked but the nduja butter prawns were well cooked. The triple cooked chips should have been a lot crispier - none of our group finished theirs.I was expecting better things from the river views because the outside tables always seem to be prebooked, but you cant actually see much of the river from the narrow terrace.
In the rivermill now ,lots of very young staff who dont seem to know whats going on litrely just sat down and a young lad asks me what Id like I replied Im not sure Ive not seem the menu yet ,the people next to me laughed ,1min later a young girl comes and asks me what Id like ,I repeated myself and told her Ive not seem the menu yet ,when I was eventually given a menu the waiter stood next to me waiting for my order ,he said why dont you dont you know what youvwant ,I laughed at this point and said Ive only just been given the menu can I please a a minute to look Im wound up by this point ,keeps running his fingers through his hair and stareing at me ,cheap labour doesnt always pay off x
Food was really nice, and staff were friendly, but service was very slow. We were asked to pre order as we were a bigger party, however starters came out over a course of 10 minutes, so we all ate at different times. Very disappointed that when we came to order dessert at 9pm, we were told they had run out of everything except 3 pieces of lemon tart - very bad planning on the part of the person who does the ordering. It was such shame our experience wasnt great, as the food was of a really good standard.
Lunch time visit and we were glad to sit inside in the cool, great place staff really friendly and food was excellent. Highly recommended and dog friendly too. Great job.
Really really good, fresh prepared food, we love the menu, lost of choices and prices r not bad too, I recommend to book in advance, as we did 😁👍and we was lucky they given us the choice to have "al fresco" lunch, and we did, lovely views, we definitely come back again. I highly recommend.
Lovely lunch, spoilt for choice with the new menu, would have liked to try more. Very good vegan and vegetarian options. And dog friendly. Craft beer was a bit pricey, but delicious.
Very nice, calm place. My salmon delicious, perfectly prepared and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended
We popped in by canoe along the river and moored up at the small pub mooring.Nice drinks, I had a Gladiator cider, a lovely to be ambushed by alcohol. I also had a Laconia Legacy, which was excellent. The food was very good, tasty and a good variety. The Korean chicken was rich and tasty, the steak salad was also superb.
Just a short walk from the C&C club site, we had a fabulous lunch with our two Labradors at The River Mill Pub. Excellent food, fab service and you couldn’t ask for more friendly staff. We’ll be back!
Lovely place with friendly atmosphere and staff. Small plates were delicious. Recommend the Korean chicken, and the loaded fries are enough to share between two. May need to book ahead for food.
We went for a drink on Saturday at the Rivermill, walked in a party of 12-15 people, enjoying themselves. We approached the bar, and was told table service, no problem.Waited 10 minutes, in that time the party was ordering numerous drinks after we had been seated, and also ordering drinks and receiving there drinks at the bar. After we had our drink, we wanted to pay, we was told someone would come over, but the staff were too busy, with the group, that we were ignored numerous times, by the staff.Very disappointed , as have lived here for 20 years and never experienced this kind of behaviour, word and mouth, I will be telling friends to not to go to the Rivermill, staff very un-professional.
Lovely setting. Food really nice. Staff lovely.
We came here because of the vegan options on the menu that are different from most other restaurants/pubs. The menu presented was different to what was online but we were not disappointment. I highly recommend the "fish" taco and the house salad. The chefs mother is apparently vegan so he knows his stuff. Enjoy!
Cant give a review of the food or drink as we were not allowed to sit at a table. Just wanted a drink during the dog walk, only to be told it was bookings only. Around a dozen tables free when we asked, went to Millers Arms for 2 drinks, stayed for an hour and walked back past and there were 16 tables free. Guess us local dog walkers dont fit the type of clientele that the pub now wants. Wont bother trying again, cant give 0 stars, but you get the point.
A perfect visit, staff where very helpful and friendly the menu was very good and are lunch was delicious and perfect.
We had a Christmas party there and what a great place to do it. Food was excellent. Drinks were numerous and reasonably priced. Staff were super nice and returned quickly. Honestly, nothing negative to say about this place.
Lovely staff that could not have friendlier or more helpful. The food was delicious. I had a roast beef and everything on the plate was tasty and well cooked. Very generous portion. We sat in the dog friendly room which indeed had a lot of dogs.
Recommended by C &CC and subject to 10% discount for members. 4 of us went for evening meal. Staff welcoming and friendly.Lots of small plates to choose from but cant be served as a main. Disappointing as really fancied a couple of them. Not much variety in the mains if you didnt want a burger! 2 of us opted for the ribeye steak from local farm expecting it to be excellent. Sadly not, fatty and gristly. Cooked well and chips were great. Were not serial complainers but thought they needed to know. We had the feeling it fell on deaf ears though. Price of one dessert taken off but it wasnt about the money. We think the venue deserves better.
Nice setting and very welcoming, unfortunately not serving any type of food until 6pm is not ideal.
Lovely food, beautiful location and a great feeling. They offer something a bit different but in a good price range. This may be our new regular!
Gorgeous venue right by the river with lots of tables outside. Staff were friendly and welcoming without exception. Food was pretty good too.
A nicely positioned pub with good pub type food and helpful and cheerful staff. Near the river so OK for a walk before or after you eat. The only down side is the lack of parking spaces (for carswhich could mean a fair walk if the 6 or 8 spaces are filled.
The food was really good and the service matched wholeheartedly. However, we were a tad disappointed in the desert selection hence the 4 star review, otherwise it was a great night out with friends!
Had a pleasant lunch overlooking the river, very friendly staff . Then had a walk along the river in the sunshine, bit like being on holiday
Took a walk along the river and stopped here for food. Staff were friendly and the food was nice! We sat outside and there was an option of covered or not.
Lovely roast dinner on Sunday; one of us also had plaice which was also lovely.Great atmosphere, adhering to social distancing measures which is also good to see.Lager and Ales had a good selection.Highly recommended.
Beautiful restaurant/bar ample seating outside to enjoy the sunshine and views of Loch, River.. Covid restrictions good in current climate.. Service not too slow even at slightly busy time..Food is excellent and certainly recommended, prices ££-£££
We often stop here when out on the boat they have 4 mooring spots that your welcome to use if u use the pub. The food is always nice we opped for the pizza this time cooked it the wood fired pizza oven outside which is great to smell and watch whilst your waiting. The beer is always good and there is also plenty to see near by. Best enjoyed when the weather is good. Recommend for a quick drink or a nice meal.
The river Mill at Eaton Socon is a dog friendly pub/restaurant in Eaton Socon next to the Great Ouse. It is an attractive location from which you can look at the nearby lock gates and also look at the Venturi-Enhanced water power generator which is explained by information boards within the pub. This is the first place in the world to have this sort of generator installed so should become a pilot for much larger schemes. It contains an eel pass so that it does not disturb the rivers eel population.
Amazing venue for a 50th birthday party. Organized and executed brilliantly with fab staff. Everyone so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. Best party Ive been to for years and the venue really helps.
The location was really nice. Seats outdoors and great for a drink. We were there for dinner & would recommend the steak (photo), however the other photo is the prawn and haloumi dish which didnt arrive as presumed based on the menu however was still tasty. Reasonably priced & good for day drinks.
Lovely pub and restaurant. With two moorings. Lots of different gins on offer. Home made and clay oven cooked Pizza was excellent.
