Loved it...waitress was great. She was very knowledgeable and advised us well. Love her, the food , and plan to take the whole family back soon.

First time at The Rind, came for a glass wine. They have selection of good wine from French, Italy, Spain. Nice place for a glass of wine, very recommended.

Its like that but when they pull that dank cheese out of the jar you dont have to fear getting grounded from Xbox for a week.** They definitely sounded like wine experts too but you could tell me this 2009 Chardonnay was handpicked from a tomato vineyard in the Sahara desert and I would believe you 🤷

I had the lobster Mac and it was lobster and oil. Definitely could do better. They get rid of all that oil… they might have a dish. My man needs his money back. All I taste is lemon and oil in my mouth.

For being a place centered around cheese, wine, and beer, it definitely delivers. I got the alpeno mac n cheese and my significant other got the brieLT. While the Mac n cheese was very good, the sandwhich really didnt stand out that much. The charcuterie board was easily the best part as it really does deliver with quality of meats and cheese. My only real complaint was the price. Everything is rather expensive for what you get as compared to full restaurants that have a more diverse and quality menu. For example, 2 people going to Hells Kitchen in Tahoe would have a slightly larger bill, but the world of flavors and quality is on a whole different planet; I dont believe that for what you get here, you should be paying a similar price to what you get at very high end restaurants. Other than that, I still do very much like the atmosphere and the cheese centered menu.

My coworker loves this place it was her birthday so I picked us up lunch. Eating the delicious soup and twisted sandwich. Yummy good. She likes the cheese boards too. Happy birthday !!

Food was good and atmosphere was fun. Service was also good. However, I thought the prices were high.

Good food and great options for beer etc, expensive though, 20$ for a grilled cheese and a little bit of Prosciutto. Sandwich was very salty but good, ask for the side dressings for the greens, I got vinaigrette and it was really good.The cider beer was strong and something to get used to for sure and for 12$ seemed over priced.My meal came out to about 33$ for one beer and a grilled cheese.Was a good experience with friendly staff though.I really liked the like history of beer poster in the bathroom, that was pretty coolAlso they dont split your bill so keep that in mind.

The T-Brie-D was AMAZING. Best grilled cheese I have ever had.

I have come here a few times, usually pretty good food, fun atmosphere, and nice selection of wines. My only complaint is staff is usually on the slow side so be prepared, and make sure you get your orders in before the kitchen closes. The last time I visited it was a Sunday evening the waitress neglected our table and failed to collect our orders before kitchen closed.

Okay, people! Are you looking for a cute date place or a fun girls night venue? This is your place. I highly recommend choosing a wine to enjoy and allowing the servers to choose which cheeses to pair with your wine. The charcuterie board is amazing, they have these delicious peppers and jams that went well with the cheese. Also, do not hesitate to get the “Not your Mama’s Mac n cheese” it was delicious and so decadent. The indoor and outdoor seating vibes are great.

The grilled cheese & Tomato soup were so delicious. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about everything on their menu. The wine list is great too.

Ordered Lobster Mac & Chz . Definitely a comfort favorite 😊 could have a little more lobster at this price point , but definitely yummy , also enjoyed Tomato Burrata Platter 👍to this choice .

This restaurant has perfected delicious cheesy foods. I had a melted cheese sandwich with pear slices and it was a-mazing. If we are in Sacramento, we will be back.We are back and the food is still amazing! I feel sorry for the waiting staff, they need more help. Our waiter was attentive and very sweet. He was really working hard to help so many people. As always we will be back, we might be back tomorrow! Thank you for such great food

Great food. Great service. Brie/apple/onion grilled cheese made both my inner 5 year old and bougie adult heart happy. Highly recommend for comfort food, good environment. 10/10 for millennials.

Outstanding wines, perfectly paired cheeses if you want them, and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Parking can be tough but its well worth it.

A lovely place. Small with a friendly ambiance. They have a wide selection of cheese and meats and the staff have a detailed knowledge of all of them. They have a well stocked bar of wines and beers. Thier food menu is small but absolutely delightful. With several inventive macs, and cheese sandwiches.

The Rind is an especially excellent place! Yes, they focus on cheese. And yes, theres a lot of wine. Good enough for most foodies, right?They also have *really good* vegan options, beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic options. Pretty much anyone can come here and enjoy their menu!As an unsolicited bonus: The owner is a very ethical business owner! When people had to sit outside (think: 2020they sold blankets AT COST! And they made tasting events pick-up only, and login virtually.Im continually very impressed with this The Rind, and visit them with some regularity.

Called ahead for a party of 7 and they accommodated us outside. I specifically asked if they would have heaters available outside and they said "yes." However, when we got there, they said their heaters had been broken for some time. So we sat outside with no heater in 50 degree weather. Then, they were out of many options of cheese and food at 6:30pm. I had been here before and it was decent, but will not come back again as we were freezing outside, did not get a full menu, and waited over an hour for our entrees to come out.

This is one of our go to places in Sacramento. The ambience is nice as the place is small but we’ll decorated. The menu is not fancy or extensive but the food is great. If you love cheese, this place is for you. Cheese platters, grill cheese sandwiches and mac&cheese are staples of the menu. And likely you are also getting the vibe. Salads are tasty too. Overall, a nice place to have a good time…

Amazing food, wine and staff. Everyone was so knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend checking this place out. I read some reviews beforehand that stated it was pricy, but for the quality, it really was not that bad. Great experience.

I love their selection of cheese and board placing. The outdoor seating is a great spot and the service is good. I like that they let you choose cuts of cheese to go, 4oz minimum. Maybe more expensive than going to a whole foods or nugget but its a nice experience. Theyll shape the taste around what you give them too if you dont know what you want.

Such a great spot! A hidden gem in Midtown Sacramento. Try any of the cheeseboards... They know their cheeses. They actually make great grilled cheeses too. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Great for a date spot or just to catch up with some friends. They have a nice bar and a great outdoor seating area. Def check this place.

I’m very particular about my mac & cheese so I was a bit hesitant about trying out this lobster mac at The Rind. So glad that I did. It’s important to try new things and different variations of this comfort food. It was piping hot, served in this mini cast-iron, and jam-packed with flavor and spices. I paired it with a nice red blend that worked perfectly. Topped the meal off with dessert, the chocolate moose and whipped cream . Everything tasted great. There was a courtyard concert going on as I dined outside that only added to the experience and our host/server was very attentive, kind, and accommodating. I really did enjoy my time at The Rind. While I didn’t get to have it myself, I hear the quarantine salad is yum! Might have to check it out next time.

Came in an hour before closing, friendly wait staff let me choose where I wanted to sit and didnt rush me at all. Everyone was covid complaint and wore masks. I ordered the lobster Mac n Cheese and it was delicious! I had to take some home because it was very filling! This cozy restaurant has a lot of options for wine and cheese dishes. Ill be back again

I always order too much. But its all so good. Steve gets to your level. And makes sure everyone gets a experience they wont forget. Outstanding choices & I love all the grill cheese,& but go gaga over the lobster ravioli.

Such a cute, intimate place. Went with a girlfriend and we sat under heat lamps outside due to COVID restrictions but the food was delicious. Had one of the grilled cheese sandwiches, a charcuterie board and the Pinot Grigio. Was expecting a bigger selection of wine but the one I got was exactly what I wanted.All great quality. I’ll definitely be going back to sample more of the food!

First time here and wow I know what the hype is all about now! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, helping my girlfriend and I select the right drinks and cheeses based on our palletes. The staff here truly care about creating a delicious and enjoyable experience. We ended up loving each of the cheeses (cheddar, smoked gouda and goatand all of the accompaniments. We already decided we’ll need to come back just to try the grilled cheeses too!

You read the menu and youre like "okay grilled cheese and mac and cheese? Thats not very impressive" but then you read the ingredients and taste how decadent it all is and honestly? No regrets on spending $15 on a sandwich. The best meals Ive EVER had have been here.Also, if you like wine, they have plenty of options and for someone who ISNT a connoisseur, such as me, they were super patient with finding a wine that paired with the food I chose AND that I genuinely enjoyed.

I went here very briefly with a couple of friends one day. They have good wine available as well as some other interesting options. I didnt try anything on the menu other than the wine, but we took a look, and the happy hour looks great.It is a super cute interior, small and cozy, with a little classy (has to be with the wine and cheese, right?)The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a sampling of the wine we got before we went all in for a glass.Great experience overall, and I hope to be back for a Happy Hour soon.

What a cheese lover’s heaven!! You can get comfort foods made from cheese like grilled cheese sandwitch, Mac’N cheese. You can taste a variety of cheese. What is the best for me is roasted tomato soup. This is the next level!!

This was one of the best meals Ive had this year.Really neat space, and they were able to accommodate our party of 5 rather easily. Food came out at a nice pace- enough to really enjoy each course.The charcuterie plate was nice. We asked for their pairings with the wine we ordered, and the cheese monger had some nice selections.Both the mac and cheeses and grilled cheeses are great- I can especially recommend the "Not Your Moms Mac" and the "T-Brie-D".I cant wait to go back. If you havent been here yet, youre missing out on a FANTASTIC dining experience.

Wonderful and extremely tasty menu! Loved our Bordeaux wine paired with 3 cheeses, moscato jam garnished with fresh berries, crostini, and spiced almonds. One the separate platter we ordered dried figs and Spanish olives. Absolutely delicious!! Will definitely come again!

We stopped by here for some lunch and the food was really good. It was really pricey though, so I knocked a star. We got a Charcuterie Board, 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, a cup of sour and 2 beers. Cost us $100 bucks.The grilled cheese was good, but should have been bigger at those costs I think. The service was great though. Our server (Britneywas super awesome and deserved this shout out for her outstanding service.

Have been wanting to try this place ever since it opened. Splurged and ended up getting two cheese plates. Plus wonderful selection of beer and wine. Staff was very knowledgeable about their product. Easy just to sit and say what kind of cheese you like and theyll create a plate to your liking. Fun place to take friends, better with a group so you can try more cheese!

I tried the Lobster Mac and cheese 2.0, it was filling and very good tasting with 4 different types of cheeses, black olives and cherry tomatoes. I would definitely order this dish again.

I like this place. They have a great selection of cheeses, craft beers and all kinds of sodas you never heard of, which always gets me excited :)We had a "french" sandwich: T-Brie-D, and it is a bomb. Second, we had a "pork" sandwich: Banh Mi Oh My, and it is okay. Just okay. We also had a bowl of tomato soup.T-Brie-D (frenchis a "must try at least once" kind of meal.Banh Mi Oh My (porkis the kind of sandwich you can never have again in your life and you would be okay with it, but if you happen to have it again youd be okay with it too.Tomato soups falls in that same category as the "pork" sandwich.Despite all of my liking of this eatery, 2 negatives (not a deal breaker, but every place has some, and it wouldnt be fair not to mention them):1. Its a little pricey. We had 2 sandwiches, 1 bowl of soup and a soda for lunch and our bill came out to be $52 (including taxes and a 15% tip). I dont know, maybe I am wrong for saying its expensive. I just compare it to the "opportunity" value of these $52, and in our restaurant adventures, $52 usually will also entail lots of leftovers, which is good for the next day lunch/dinner. So, in truth, $52 converts to $13/meal (2 people, 4 meals total), and in this case it came up to be $26/meal (2 people, 2 meals total).2. Really cramped. Looks like they have a lot of interest (demandand not a lot of space (supply), which is probably an explanation for higher prices. Tables are located very close together, which is obnoxious for waiters (not to mention the customers), because they have to ask customers to move every time they want to get to the table in the corner.From a pure business prospective, your overhead cost per customer will go down if you expend. And thats because it looks like you will have more customers (demandthan the increase of some overhead cost (like rent, wages, and amortization), which in turn will allow for retail prices reduction, which will bring even more customers. Not to mention that a bigger place will attract more customers because it wont be cramped anymore. Do your math :)

A large selection of cheeses, wine and beer as it seems. Didnt try any of the beer, but the wine and cheeses was definitely on point. The atmosphere was great but the music was a little strange. If I remember correctly it was playing country music that night. I have nothing against country music, but it just didnt seem to fit with the decor and atmosphere. However, looking beyond that I can go there again and again on the wine and cheeses alone. Two thumbs up!!
