Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, - Wine Route Number 8, Windmeul, Paarl, 7623, South Africa, Noorder-Paarl
The Rhebok Restaurant - Bistro in Noorder-Paarl, South Africa
Nice venue but we had a terrible meal. It took them 45 minutes to bring our first drink and about the same again for the main course. Waitresses were not knowledgeable about items on menu and did not tell us what was going on .The food is expensive and my pork neck was fatty and overly rich. It was a very disappointing experienceI find it interesting that the restaurant management quickly APPEARED to want to get to the bottom of this problem by asking for my email address (which I gave thembut have not bothered to correspond with me subsequently.
Lovely setting and the food.when it eventually arrived, was pretty good but I have never waited so long first to order, then to get drinks and finally for food to arrive.
Lovely green lush garden area...Lovely wines, friendly staff, lovely food and good service ....A very relaxing afternoon... to be recommended.....
Beautiful venue, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the wine is great. However, the price of some dishes are unrealistic. I mean, R135 for a burger with a meat patty of probably not more than 125grams…! Granted, it was medium to rare as ordered, but not much taste otherwise. Sorry, but I have to be honest and hope it leads to improvements.
Stunning venue, shady trees for picnicking, amazing wines - highly recommend a visit
The most amazing and serene location. Gorgeous lunch, great wine and friendly efficient service. Great park like gardens bordering a dam lovely picnic spots for families, highly recommend a visit.
Fantastic restaurant, good food, great coffee and an amazing view over the winelands and mountains. Our only let-down was the waitress who seemed to be very uninterested. This was made up by the managers stella and super friendly service.
This is the first time we have visited this wine farm and it was an incredible experience. Firstly, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the tables outside were wonderfully situated, the grounds were magnificent, the food at our table of 10, was memorably good. The pizzas, the burgers and my salmon meal was well presented and beautifully cooked. The wine tasting area was awesome where I also has wine tasting. Exceptional day with the family and the children had plenty to do. I highly recommend this place to all.
Highly recommended. Great menu with excellent food and service. The Management and staff were extremely friendly and surpassed any expectations. We will definitely return.
The lawns are stunning and it is just such a tranquil atmosphere under the old trees in front of the lake. The picnic setup is great. We did find the odd old bottle cap and straw papers from previous picnic goers, which is so sad, that people cannot just use the bins provided.Food (picnicis good. Could be a little bit more substantial, but all in all a good and enjoyable experience.
Venue is absolutely beautiful. Great setting for a lovely family Sunday lunch. It has a peaceful ambience that is almost therapeutic.
After reading peoples posts, we were super excited to try the place out. The setting is beautiful, the service was great however the food left a lot to be desired. Its totally overpriced and the food was totally dry and tasteless. Unfortunately its not a farm I would ever come back to. Very sad.
Beautiful spot, delicious food, tasty wines, very affordable with excellent service
I went back to this restaurant after 23 years.I felt lost and home at the same time.Somethings never change, Im referring to top quality service, yes, thats what Im saying.Well, this space is great for all sorts of gatherings, the kids, theyll probably have to be carried back to the car by the time you leave. The wine and dining, listen, this place is in Paarl, you surrounded by Vineyards and Paarl mountain.Take my word, you can even take your mother in law with, shell look at you differently 🤣🤣😆The wine and food was great, its of a high standard, the staff was really friendly and well spoken.Do put this place on your bucket list.Thumbs-up if you agree and follow.Enjoy
Beautiful grounds! Breakfast was delicious and service excellent. We will be back!
Beautiful setting, family friendly.. Lovely area for kids to play, and run around on the grass outside, no high chairs. Great food and warm, friendly service - thank you Percy :)
What a great experience. We were here after a baptism and the venue was amazing. The food was tasty( we had the biltong pizza), the wine was lovely and the massive kids play area kept them busy whilst we could keep a watchful eye over them. They have a large dam nearby with ducks and other wildlife, just make sure to keep a close eye on wandering children. We will most definately visit again.
Really lovely restaurant with friendly and able staff in a beautiful setting.Menu a bit limited but still sufficient for having a great coffee and bite to eat especially after a run or MTB on the lovely trails on the property.Would still love to book a picnic on the lawn next to the dam. It looks so lovely.
Beautiful venue, friendly staff. However, service for food is much to be desired. Prepare for very long waits from the kitchen, up to more than an hour over a weekend. Some of the dishes are rather lacklustre.
Great food! We had a very lovely day on the estate. The wine is excelent and wont break the bank (except if you buy as much as we didThe children enjoyed the play area and you can keep an eye on them from the tasting and restaurant area. The only negative part of this review is that the service in the restaurant was very slow, when you eventually get to put in your order, the kitchen is fast.All-in-all, I recomend Rhebokskloof for a great day out with great wine and food!
Beautiful venue and extremely kid friendly. Service was very friendly, but extremely poor. Two table waited patiently, but eventually left after waiting too long. We only waited about 10 minutes, but order was wrong. Pizzas not fantastic, difficult to explain but bland, we had 5 different pizzas and all tasted very similar.
Surrounded by huge trees, the garden is absolutely beautiful. The food is excellent and so is the service. You can really just sit here for hours and relax. Plenty of place for the kids to play. I wasnt expecting this, but I will definately visit again.
Lovely vineyard, good food, good wine, very clean.
Great place with friendly staff and open spaces, staff are amazing with knowledge of every wine of offer. Jeremiah was a great wine host with his knowledge and friendly demeanor. The Restaurant has some amazing food and value for money, there is also a play area for kids so the parents can enjoy the scenery and sip the wine.
Todays was a beautiful sunny day, I cant imagine any weather more suitable for the pretty at door setting at this place. I wont lie this place is a really awesome setting, no question. The place has a play area for kids and theres absolutely more than enough space for them to stretch their little legs so come through with a frisby or for all those couples out there bring a picnic blanket and take a nap while you wait on your food. The only critics I have are that the service was a little slow (but it honestly wasnt unbearableand it would be nice if all the picnic tables had umbrellas because that summer sun kinda stings.P.S. There is no wifi outside
We decided to look for somewhere new to go for lunch and were not disappointed: the menu is small, but every dish is excellently prepared and presented at very reasonable prices. The St Martin pizza with prosciutto, brie, caramelised onion and rocket was one of the nicest Ive had. Also on the table was the lasagne, St Felix pizza and the mushroom and truffle oil pasta. Something to look forward to afterwards is the dessert menu with the secret recipe flour flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu. Definitely a top choice for lunch!
Outdoor seating with many cool spots for the summer season, playgrounds for the little ones without paying an arm or a leg!
Weve been going here for many years. Beautiful place. Stunning vistas. We buy their wine often. It has undergone a recent refurb and its looking great for it. Worth a visit. Service was unusually a little slow to get started but after that as expected. R170 for 13 mussels and chips, while tasty I question the value when I consider it to other amazing options in Paarl. Some small improvements could make it a five star hit and get them more covers.
Restaurant has been revamped and a new chef. This is a must visit destination. Quality food and the best wines.
Good food, great service and a stunning outdoor setting. Kids jungle gym and lawn to keep the kids busy
Lovely setting with mountain biking and horseriding as well as a good restaurant. Restaurant has seating on the stoep in the garden and on the lawn. You can book a picnic basket for a meal under the trees. I would recommend the platter, wich is substantial and decadent for two hungry people or four friends. As with outdoor seating it can get a little windy and there might be a few flies. This is not a budget place, but worth it. Rolling green lawns and well kept gardens and buildings make for a worthwhile experience. Good friendly service.
Great wine land to visit. Great venue for a wedding or just a Sunday afternoon lunch
We had a truly special mothersday at the Rhebok Restaurant in Paarl, the restaurant was extremely busy and initially they were short of menus but the staff were accommodating, friendly and attentive. The kitchen even went the extra mile to make a mushroom sauce on request for my mom to accompany her steak. Good job, we will be back.(added benefit, theyre now on the entertainer. Youre welcome)
What a magical place. If you need to take the little kids for a fun day and want to eat something this is the place. Beautiful surroundings and the food is great. Just a brilliant way to relax on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly staff. We will be back.
Stunning setting with lovely food and excellent service. Really worth a visit and highly recommended. Our waitress was Candice and she looked after us very well
Very peaceful..reason for 4 stars we never got to eat there due to them having a function..otherwise kid friendly and the perfect place to relax!
Stunning views, great wine and delicious food! Love the Pork Belly
Beautiful setting for a day out. Restaurant was lovely but the picnic baskets are a bit disappointing, very little food for the price that you pay and not filling.
Excellent lunch and service. Kids friendly, our children loved the pony rides
The best Valentines ever. Movie with basket and whine. A devenite yes if you are wondering. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Had a lovely picnic under the willow trees. Beautiful view and a awesome spread.
Great atmosphere, good place for business meetings during the week. Had a great gnocci dish
The most amazing views. Tranquil setting ..award winning wines and delicious food..
Lovely picnic place also and a awesome restaurant
The garden is beautifully kept. With wide range of food options and wine list with exquisite selection.Children are kept busy with playing area(bring their bicycles withThe function/wedding venue is 5 star with a beautiful lawn in front for pre dinner drinks. We just love this place.O yes be sure to try their MCC..it was exposed to wood for 5 years!!
Lovely and peaceful setting. Nice place for kiddies to run and play. Good food!
Beautiful scenery and a great place to spend your Sunday afternoon.
The food we had was not great. I only had one dish though. The wine is great and so is the Estate.
Great views, play area, good, service and food. Was a very good experience. Will definitively go back. Also offers free pony rides for the kids
We had a lovely time. The food was great and the staff was friendly and always available
