British cuisine and fine wines in white-tablecloth dining room with large mural by namesake artist.
Very Distasteful! The Tate Morden website described this restaurant as “The Most Amusing Room in Europe” due to the paintings they have on the walls. As an art lover, I wanted to see for myself so had to check it out. Got their to find the wall filled with paintings of the chained black slave children. Apparently Tate Morden finds that amusing. As a black person, I ended up feeling out of place and very uncomfortable as a result and left.
Had a great Sunday roast last weekend. Vibe was great, very attentive waiting staff, excellent wine selection.
Loved it! Excellent roast and really attentive service. Particularly impressed by the wine selection and very knowledgeable and friendly somelier! Fantastic recommendations!
Good food and service. I wish they had a set lunch.
Not anything like as excellent as it used to be! Famous for the wine list and the equally unforgettable Rex Whistler murals. Menu is small, by standards but quite sadly disappointing.
Poor service, food ok but overpriced.
Excellent service! The waiters were very friendly and helpful! Also food is great and very well presented. Our handsome spanish waiter Carlos was very nice with us and made our afternoon worth in this place!
Food fantastic, wine list even better!
The ravioli was stunning, beautifully matched with a spectacular wine suggestion from Karolis the Sommelier. The daily special of pork chop with seasonal greens, again perfectly matched, was a delight
My partner and I had an excellent experience today and so we will definitely be back. Very nice starter - I had the veal - my partner was delighted with the beef main course. Nice desserts and greats wines... We always like to see Kate and the waitresses and manager were accommodating and gracious.
Nice food.

Outstanding and delicious restaurant.Highly recommended for all of you. The beef tartare was delicious. The fish with green peas was amazing. And the price was reasonable as well!!
The real art is the food.
A lovely restaurant inside Tate Britain, with very good vegetarian options, and attentive staff .
Had a lovely meal in a lovely setting with good service, however the portions are tiny and the food is over-priced so I dont think Id go back.
Muy buena experiencia gastronómica en un museo del centro de Londres. Espectacular el carpaccio de ciervo.
Decent fare
What a great experience in such an iconic place.
Great food. Chef Alfio knows how to make food special
高いですが、値段相応に美味しく頂けます。副菜もすばらしく、お腹いっぱいになりました。
Excellent food. Was there for my sisters birthday. The best part was how knowledgable servers were about the wine and the food that goes with it.Wine was also very very fine. I highly recommend.
We went for the jazz brunch and decided not to have eggs, but oysters and other dishes from their lunch menu. The location is beautiful, completely unexpected in the Tate.We particularly liked the staff, who were professional, yet very approachable and had a good sense of humour.
Expensive reasonably tasty
We came for brunch on a Saturday. Everything about the experience was excellent - perfect presentation, fresh ingredients, excellent friendly service and a historic location set in the centre of Rex Whistlers magnum opus.We especially like the fact the restaurant takes stand on paying staff a living wage and not requesting tips as a result. The fact the profits support public art is also rewarding.
The food was very refined and the dishes were well designed and crafted, especially the mint flavoured mousse. The atmosphere was very pleasing, but also quite posh. Prices are somewhat on the high side.
inefficient, I only order a main course and has been sitting here over 25 mins and still have no sign of the food. Totally ruined the mood of eating.
I cant find the base price for meals, only supplements seem to be priced.
You can bring your bottle of wine but they will charge you corkage
Comida un poco por encima de la media. Un poco caro. El servicio bastante bien.
Wonderful Sunday lunch fabulous setting with the rex whistler mural - good service and best of all since it was a celebration we had the sommeliers wine selection with all three courses which really made it special and fun
Unlike many other comments, RW becomes one of my best memories in London. Food was superb. Service fine.
Surprisingly bad service at this classic English restaurant. Be aware you need to like high brow English food or you might be disappointed. The service was sub par both unfriendly and slow a deadly combinations for enjoyment. Paid £71 for 2 people 3 course meals which was marginal value. Beware of the optional but included £1 donation and if you proceed without warning to desert, youre being charged for 3 courses
We had an amazing time at the truffle and mushroom event! The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! Great wine, great food and a great night!
Amazing menu of Great British produce, from the sparkling wine to the cheese course. Well worth a visit.
In the clamour of London restaurants, this is a treasured shelter. The Whistler murals really do create an enchanted setting. Look up from your plate and enjoy them.
Beautiful dining room, a great lunch spot. The wine list offers great choice and probably the best value in London.Food was very good and staff friendly
It is a restaurant that teaches you to eat with pleasure and imagination
Very poor and pompous service from waiters. Nearly empty so not good atmosphere. But to top it all I was m poisoned with cockles that smelt strongly of ammonia - they should never have left the kitchen. Am holed up with food poisoning - great!
Terrible experience with a lunch today Sunday at 2pm. Waited 15 minutes until we even could order some water. From starter to main waited 35 minutes. Waiter cleaned table but left a bowl of potatoes on table. After 20 minutes I asked the maitre de service if maybe someone would care to get these potatoes away. I dont even want to write about the desert. It took so long we canceled it. Absolute sub-zero experience. To make matters worse: it was not like the place was buzzing with people eating and drinking, it was more than half empty. AVOID! AVOOOOOIIIID!!!!!
Shame. Cant enjoy proper British cream tea at the very British museum.
