The Radius Arms Micropub - Pub in Caterham, United Kingdom
Decent "unusual" beer. No muzak or TV..
An unexpected surprise. Good selection of beers and ciders and a decent burger place next door.
Always a warm welcome from Vincent and excellent beers. A great place to be with friends.
Superb micropub with an ever changing range of interesting craft beers.
A greet place to find great ales, warm atmosphere great publican good company and many friendly locals.
Vince is a top bloke but does he really have a mullet these days?
Great micro pub with good beer range, and lovingly looked after by the owners. Good choice of Wine and Gins too.
The only stop in Whyteleafe and neighbouring areas for lovers of real beer looking for a great and different pint. Its a small venue with high tables, benches and stools, more in the style of a Spanish bar with English influence than a typical English pub.
Tasty beers, choices galore, mad amounts of beer mats
Lovely place; idiosyncratic gaffer. Great beers sourced from all over the country, superbly kept.
Excellent, warm atmosphere with a great selection of real ales.
Great choice of Real Ales, ciders and keg beers worth a try. Beet quality excellent...
A nice friendly place, always a great choice of Ales.
Great beer and friendly vibes. Cheers Vincent!
First time we had been in there and it was really good was visiting family ,,so to find a micro not to far away from them was excellent ,will be back when we next visit
Good place to get unusual strong beers.
Super selection of real ales. Not to be missed if going out of Croydon on the A22.
Fantastic micro pub. Well kept beers. Friendly atmosphere.very clean toilet. What more can you want? X
Friendly hostelry with a great atmosphere! Always an excellent and interesting selection of beer and cider, gin, also wine and fizz!
Excellent beer. No music. No food. No fruit machines or bar games.Just a basic proper pub.I really enjoyed my visit.
Good choice of beers in a relaxed and friendly environment just what an excellent micropub should be.
Wonderful dog-friendly pub with a good atmosphere and great selection of beers including vegan ones!
Friendly with good choice of fine ales.
One of Londons finest micropubs (OK, I know its just out of London, but the two nearby railway stations - Whyteleafe and Upper Warlingham - are both in Zone 6). An interesting, varied, and ever-changing selection of cask and keykeg ales, always in exceptional condition. Those of robust constitution should try the Pig of Doom pork scratchings, favoured with ghost chilli 😉
For the love of beer and a great variety too, its my favourite place for a tasty pint.
Lovely place to go for a beer or cider & just chat & chew the cud. Always good selection to choose from & always good atmosphere from clientele present.
The efforts this pub has gone to over lockdown to provide us locals with beer and cider is second to none.Prior to all this, this was a lovely, dog friendly niche little boozer, very popular with all who visit. But what must be said is the efforts they have gone through to keep going is amazing.I love this pub, and I love the man who runs it with passion, care and drive. When all is well in 2021 (hopefully), pay a visit.
Beauty of a spot. Extremely well priced with delightful brews on the taps. Always rotated out.
Great choice of Beer, fast becoming my local for a few pints (even if I have to travel up from Sussex), good atmosphere especially Saturday evening after a `Leafe Home win.
Great choice of beers and ciders. Lovely lady entertaining us on guitar and singing. Expect to be a little cramped my living room is bigger :-)
Highly recommended traditional pub with no music or TV. The beer mats on the ceiling bear witness to the wide range of beers served since they opened five years ago. Well worth going out of your way to visit!
Brilliant range of ales, a tiny place but what all real pubs ahould be like. No bloody great sports TVs or inane plastic music, just proper ales, proper conversation and no numpties!
Cannot rate this place highly enough. After a lovely walk on Riddlesdown stopped off here for a couple of pints and now completely in love with the place. Great beer in a casual, un-pretentious setting- check out the hilarious signs! Chatting with other customers (thought that only happened up north!and the owner even brought out some treats for our puppy. Will definitely be going again!
I have driven past this place many times over the years but due to the lack of easy stop off in this High Street failed to do so. A ferociously independent place with little concern for regular hours, it has all the charm that a place that barely gives a damn for what you think utterly should do.It is small, it is intimate, it is random, it is right for what it is and I shall be back. A definite local highlight for local people and the bar staff remain somewhat surly at first but will warm to you if you keep ordering from the wide range of keg beers and ciders. If you want to to feel like an errant youth again and are still below 50, this is your place.
Bloody excellent little place with range of craft beer and cider. A few halves of an 8.7%er had me on the floor at the weekend. Keyrings are 50p! Mixed toilet. Make what you will of that... We were in here one Sunday and a group of regulars offered us some of their picnic. Handmade sausages and a lengthy explanation of how they were made. Great people!
After a 5 hour journey from lancashire we arrived at the pub just before last orders to a warm and friendly welcome, delightful beer and great atmosphere. Just what we needed, almost like being up north😀
Fantastic selection of ales and ciders. When one runs out Vince will put a new one out to try. Good pricing and everyone is really friendly here. If you like ale, youll love it here
A great selection of flavourful beers/ciders on tap and in bottle, plus a few interesting gins. Very reasonable prices. Welcoming local crowd. Go over the road for a boring lager if you have to have one...
Great for any beer lover! Huge range of beers, hard to try them all in one go (but worth a go). Generally large range of cask ales and a few keg craft ales as well. Owners really know what theyre doing. No music etc, just a small pub with lots of excellent beer. Friendly crowd.
Amazing beers and ciders and a unique pub. Very refreshing to be in such a place and wonderful to see such a great concept. Not local but will be back!
Small but perfectly formed. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, the beer (and ciderselection very varied and a well stocked bar. In the short time it has been in Whyteleafe, it has become a key and very welcome part of the local community.
Excellent pub with outstanding real ales and super ciders. Its a no frills kind of place with just one toilet, limited seating, no music or TV and no video or gambling machines. People go here to drink seriously good beer and have not so serious conversations. A must visit pub if youre in the vicinity.
Believe the hype! The closest thing you will find to actually being able to go to a beer festival every time you want to, locally. Ever changing perfectly prepared selection of real ales along with ciders, red and white wines, bottled and tinned specials in a busy chatty environment. Best thing that’s happened to this area in a “very” long time! Served by two train stations, a busy bus route and of course Katye And Vince!👍
Friendly atmosphere. Down to earth service. Good selection of ales. IMHO it is a plus point that there is no wide-screen HD plasma TV blaring out sports noises. You can have a cosy drink and a nice chat!
Micro in size, but a great big plus. Wandered in for a quick pint when waiting for a bus one evening. The owner is friendly and good to talk to and the beer is great. Its small but friendly and well worth a visit.
Nice friendly pub selling a good selection of beers. Very cozy though the premises are quite small. If you are a fan of real ale, or just fancy going somewhere a bit different on your night out, would recommend giving this place a try.
Great micro pub with three keg beers, at least four cask ales and a board full of ciders
One of the best pubs I have been to in a long while, while not the biggest, its small size brings a cozy air along with the genial staff and the cheery customers. Vince the Owner and Barman is knowlegeable in his products and is always happy to welcome a new customer and will make them feel like a local if they are not.
Interesting place. As you approach it looks like the shop it once was but on closer inspection, its a pub!!Small in size but with a good selection of regularly changing beers. On my visit the patrons were a friendly bunch, which is just as well as theres not a lot of room. Sharing seating at tables needs to happen. The barman wasnt so friendly but was polite and did his job.All in all, a unique experience for me but one I will happily repeat.
Fabulous, ever-changing range of beers and ciders, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Theres a full bookcase too, if you fancy sitting and reading with your pint.
