Nice food and a friendly crowd. Affordable.
Very nice place to spend time with friends in morning and evening. They have variety of options for vegetarians as well. Number of choices for drinks also available. Nice place . Must visit.
Meet girlfriends here regularly for coffee & lunch or breakfast, good value, nice staff.
Love a good weatherspoons but sadly this one let me down. I ordered a drink in the middle of the day on a Sunday and it took 20 minutes! By the time my drink came I had finished my food. The food was lovely. It was just slower than usual and it looked like they were short staffed but they were also working quite slowly. 😑
Food and service very good. Rough around the edges patrons.
Nice place to chill out. Decent food, good price.
I normally Dont leave reviews but the service is spot on ! Every time go out of their way to be accomadating . The manageress controls the busy atmosphere well . Could see I was oggling at my flat pint and was proactive to bring over a fresh one . Decent chilled social with pals for sure ! .
Food reasonably priced and good menu.Drinks reasonable too.
Some wetherspoons are a bit more characterful but its spacious, has a large outside area and the usual keen prices. VERY handy for the Princes Hall theatre if you want a pre show meal and drink. Or if you are in the cast like me - a drink afterwards!
One of the nicest pubs in Aldershot. Service food, drink and prices all really good.
Fantastic drinks offers, attentive staff. Reasonably priced food. But as with other WS a very mixed crowd of mainly older clientele that like no music of pool table and young rowdy workmen and winos that like cheap booze.
Fast service, the usual spoons quality & quantityClean facilitiesWell located for Princes Halls Aldershot
Friendly, clean, and every night a member of bar staff drops at least one glass which gives the entire pub entertainment
Excellent value for money and good food - damn good combination
Food is good at this price point and was served quickly the portions are a good size. The guest real ales are all very good and had been clearly well looked after. From ordering to drinks on the table on a Bank Holiday afternoon was 7 minutes the pub was busy, so great service.
Perfect location very friendly quick and easy check in no problem at all enjoyed the stay would come again if I was in the area 😀
Paid for hot food, got it cold, sent it back and got it cold again. Sent it back and told them to keep it. Never going in Weatherspoons ever again!
I ordered chicken wings so did me my mate, they brought what was someones my colleague ate it as he ordered first then after 20min I enquired about it and the guy said Ive eaten my wings. Saw it on cctv... Well I have the invoice and so did my colleague... Quite unfair. But ya keep your invoices and be careful you might miss out on your wings. Other than him the rest of the staff is good and its a nice atmosphere out side as long as they dont mess the orders up.
Do you enjoy overcooked steak, dry chicken, and getting IDd multiple times? If so, this is the Spoons for you!A group of friends and I went to grab dinner as it had been a while since we had all got together. The bouncer at the door meant one of us had to return home to grab his ID (you know. just in case he decided to renounce his shahada for a pint of Guinness.Regardless this is more or less par-for-the-course at pubs, though it was only a Sunday evening. We sat down at the table and ordered a meal and drinks. Looking around, there was a family sat near with two very obviously young children. How on earth did they get in without ID? Not important - though I did wonder if I had come with my parents, would I have been IDd?Our drinks came, but not before the waitress did a sweep of our IDs. Naturally they had already taken our money, so it didnt really matter to them if we were of age. We all passed the check, then proceeded with dinner. While eating dinner, another bouncer came and asked for our IDs. This is almost as bad as that time someone asked me to show them my Driving Licence in the middle of a movie... Oh wait! That never happened, since that would be rather silly.Near the end of our night we had another bouncer come eye us up, but fortunately didnt ask us for anything. Phew! Glad we got away with underage drinking. (NOT!)In all seriousness, I understand the need for a business to check who they are serving liqueur to. But at the same time, three times over the course of your meal? Thats a bit impolite now isnt it.
Friendly security staff, cheap food and a good selection of beers
Easily the worse weatherspoons I have ever been to. After only 1 drink, we were told that our table had been cut off due to one person not having ID (even though he was served at the bar and is aged 23). The young lad at the bar (who had a buzz cut and looked like Sid from Toy Storywas extremely aggressive and rude and shouted in our faces, even though all we asked was why are we not being served anymore. The security guard was also extremely poor by saying we were no longer being served due to ID issues, even though we all had our ID and out of 4 of us, 2 are in there 40’s and 2 both 20 years old (all with ID).I can only hope the manager of this establishment sees this and takes action as I don’t imagine they wish for there staff to be aggressive, verbal and extreme use of bad language (all on CCTV).Thankfully we will never be returning here.
Absolutely shocking, they are the most unorganised and unprofessional people. 10 of us were sat at the table, 9 of us had ID except for 1, someone you could identify as over 18. We all got ID’d and one person wasn’t served as there was no ID but once ordered from the bar instead of app this person had their alcoholic drink. The person who said we couldn’t have it took it away after their staff colleague gave it to us and then kicked out all of us after our drinks although some of us are 30+. Appalling
Wetherspoons was clean, nicely planned and friendly waiters. The food was excellent with nice drinks in clean glasses. Will go back
Stayed for one night. Nice and modern room and even though the pub downstairs was busy. We couldnt hear any noise from our room. Have stayed here before and would recommend.
Food reasonable. Service good. Staff pleasant.
It was a pleasant surprise to eat here as we have had a number of poor meals in the past. My partner had the Southern Fried Chicken strips which were lovely. She complimented the manager on this. I had the burger which was fine, it was quite tasty. The cheaper drinks at Wetherspoons are a bonus too. Altogether an excellent experience!
Queuing single fire queue for drinks taking 30+ mins and table service was 50+ mins.. Ridiculous and poor service
Large Wetherspoons, food typical and good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful.
Had a fantastic stay, location fantastic, rooms massive clean & tidy, friendly helpful staff, only complaint, is I left a black bag in the rm, staff rang to say Id left it, a family member works at the pub, so I said to pass to him, my black bag had my veterans badge & necklace with a picture of my partner & me in it, a chocker & a couple of pairs of earrings in, also so hair slides & grips, well the bag is nowhere to be found, which if find very odd! Considering it was you that called me to say it was there. Matter still not resolved, Im still waiting for a phone call.
Cheap food and drink but all good. Small enclosed area at rear.
Decent size beer garden. Busy on a Saturday lunchtime, but food and drink arrived quickly and staff were friendly and professional.
Exactly what you would expect from a weatherspoons. Good food, reasonably priced. Friendly staff.
Its a Weatherspoons, its cheap, you can take the kids/Grandchildren in. The food is cheap but actually quite nice considering other places that offer a similar price range.
Great place. A former girlfriend lived here over fifty years ago. Whrn it reopened as a Whetherspoons in 2014 I was the mayor and performed the ceremony along with Alan (LordHope of the Monster Raving Looney Party.
Excellent staff and service. Inexpensive but decent food. Family friendly. Good meal deals.
We had a pizza and drink after watching Top Gun. Very good service, vert prompt with food. A lovely end to the day. Thank you 😊
Outside seating was comfortable. Table clearance was fast. Bar service was quick.
Its a handy place to eat in Aldershot before going to the theater hall across the road. All OK, but you get what you pay for, really.
Beer was tidy. Had food, mixed grill. Last time I ate something that burnt I had just gone down on a sunkissed ginger bird in Spain. Did the job though
Pleasant stay great value and friendly efficient staff. Enjoyed my stay thanks
Stopped in for one of their excellent breakfasts, got there late 11am,they finish serving at 11:30am. They had run out of coffee but where very bizzy so not their fault and we where offered orange juice instead.
Stop in for a couple of beers on a hot Easter Good Friday afternoon in the sunny backyard of the Queen Hotel with lovely real ale at £2:10 a pint.
We ordered breakfast and waited such a long time when it finally came it was very cold we asked for it to be sent back as it wasnt getting eaten cold omg... they came bk another 10 mins later with another cold breakfast but a warm plate it is just a shame as it was just a breakfast they had to cook. It was a let dwn.
Though they may run out of ingredients for food and drinks pretty early, its always a good time here. The bathrooms are immaculate and the staff are wonderful, plus the drinks arent too pricey.
Food good quality but had to wait until Id eaten my meal before my beer turned up.I ordered from the app as usual and the drink was part of a deal. When i chased them up they said the drink didnt appear on my order. I showed them it on the app but said they needed to see the email receipt but this hadnt come through for some reason.Sorted in the end but was a load of hassle.Normally have no issues so will put it down to a one off, hopefully.
Very busy on our visit with pre show users. The food & drink was good value. The staff were very busy & didnt get the chance to clean the tables as perhaps they should have. Toilets were clean though. I would definitely re visit here as good value for money.
Couldnt believe, no dry white wine at all.Ordered scampi chips and mushy peas and got chicken burger and chips. Explained the mistake to staff and was reassured my order would be ready soon. When my scampi and chips arrived it was with garden peas. Couldnt be bothered to point this out. It wasnt like they were very busy either but hey ho could have been worse.
Food was delicious but service was really slow, the place didnt seem so busy, when ordering there were 3 staff talking about life behind the bar (nothing against thatbut tables (including the one we sathad plates from previous customers, I asked for our table to be cleaned at the time I ordered at the till but this wasnt done, just the plates were taken when the waiter brought our food so our food was served on a table that wasnt even sanitised. I love weatherspoons but I think customer service could be improved, specially in this pandemic times more attention should be paid to cleanliness.
Nice pub, decent atmosphere and selection of drinks. Seems clean enough, the building is nice and the staff are friendly. Britvic Tonic water is DISGUSTING!! Truly foul. Please can you stock fever tree or an equivalent?
Typical Spoons pub.You know exactly what you are getting food wise. Not gourmet food but for the price you cannot knock it.Drinks are the cheapest in town.Again typical Spoons the staff are very quick to serve and very helpful.Dont know where he gets the people from but they work very hard and try to enjoy their work.Which shows.Well done all the staff and Tim Martin
