Wood-beamed pub with fireplace and a leafy garden, serving traditional Sunday roast dinners.
Great pub, plenty of tables, plenty of room, good selection of drinks and a beer garden for the summer.
Loved the place. It was very spacious when you look from The outside it looks small but it’s huge from the insideGreat for eventsHad the crispy calamari tasted a bit like egg white but still enjoyed it.
Fantastic pub, lovely staff, decent food. Well worth a visit.
The pubfood is excellent. The pub is large and friendly. Fantastic large garden.Staff sre very helpful
Brilliant pub. Huge dinning area, and massive garden
My evening was made wonderful by the staff, notably Frank. The chips were great. The service here definitely made the experience noteworthy. I would heavily recommend this pub.
Busy place which may have explained, the disparate service. I had a Thai green curry which, was like nothing I had ever tasted before or would wish to, again! Overall, poor value for money. Would have expected so much more, given the location
A fantastic well managed pub with high standards professional staff, good producrs and a great beer garden.
A great venue! Cheerfully scenic location on the Green, absolutely lovely staff, tardis-like in size, unfolding fabulous nooks and a vast, well-kept garden. Food delicious and a good wine-list. We intend to become regulars!
Fantastic pub I have visited in years... Best beer garden ever. Loved the atmosphere and great vibe... Great price, great service, only disappointing is the garden area closes at 11 pm due to its surroundings and location.
Well situated opposite Brook Green space. Nice entrance. Some parking avaliable along the street. Proper pub inside. Big garden at the rear. At times busy but altogether pleasant oasis before Hammersmith. Nice Tesco nearby with parking. Not to be missed as a pub.
An ok pub, with nice big garden and relaxed atmosphere. The same Fullers food menu you get in all their pubs. Would be better if the menus changed. One item several of us wanted was not available and it was early on a Saturday night. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient after a slow start
Lovely pub. Outdoor garden area is so nice and you forget your in a city.
The pub itself is a great spot, big garden, big indoors, the drinks the usual fullers range. Only reason it gets a 2 stars is that a staff member was a complete melon. We were celebrating a friends new job, his girlfriend wanted to celebrate with shots, they arent big drinkers so wanted baby guinnesses. Its Kaluha and Baileys, not the most complicated thing but to keep them seperated you have to use a spoon to put on the Baileys i understand. Anyway. They asked for it, the response for the bar man was that he didnt want to as they are annoying to make and that if we got some then everyone would then ask for them. She explained the circumstances and its really not complicated but anyway he refused. Odd behaviour given its not that complicated, a later pub made them without any problem, and the pub was not busy whatsoever, oddly quiet, so not exactly like its the oniells hordes at 11pm on a Saturday. Sure Fullers are happy that a staff member is passing on making easy money.
Having frequented here often, I am really shocked that on one of the hottest days of the year, the pub CHOOSES to close it’s beer garden at 21.30. The residents surrounding the pub have agreed on a beer garden closing time of 22.00. When I asked why they are closing 30 minutes early, the manager said ‘so we have time to clear up’. Now the pub closes at 23.00, that gives them precisely one hour(22.00 to 23.00to actually clear up, is that not enough time? It’s totally ridiculous that we all have to lose 30 minutes and I suspect that it’s due to ultimately wanting to knock off early and nothing else. The beer garden is THE feature of the pub (it’s certainly not the food), so let us at least in the summer enjoy it for as many minutes as we can and not choose to close 30 minutes early for some spurious reason.
Lovely place. Super friendly staff. Amazing patio/garden. Air-conditioned inside. Delicious food, that catered for our array of dietary needs. Not much more you could ask for really. Spot on.
Lovely warm hospitality, serve my favourite beer - Asahi ! Friendly and professional service . Very spacious pub inside and an excellent beer garden towards the backYou should definitely book and reserve a table in advance to secure a place In the beer garden if that is your preferred locationThe fish and chips served are “A” rated . Great range of spirits and beersThe queens head comes highly recommended
Gigantic garden where you least expecting it, has many seats under roof. Had chicken kiev, good portion and it was tasty. Colleagues had other dishes and were not fully satisfied with quality, so food can be a git and miss. Service was quick and staff was ok.
Great roast dinner. Lots of tables outside in the garden. Nice way to relax on a sunday. Good and efficient staff.
The Queens Head in Brook Green, just on the eastern side of Hammersmith is a most delightful "village" pub, on a green no less, all green and leafy. Unfortunately, no cricket match to complete the scene. A lovely spacious pub with plenty of beer, both cask and keg on offer to slake ones thirst. Staff were welcoming and efficient. A delightful beer garden to the rear. A most pleasant place for a "pub" meal including, I suspect a Sunday lunch (just confirmed from the bar). A special, modern traditional pub well worth finding. A most enjoyable pint too!!! P.S. The place is huge!
classic pub where you can drink good beer or enjoy excellent English food. The location is very nice, complete with a large outdoor garden where you can enjoy a nice pint in the cool of the evening.
First visit much larger than I imagined fabulous garden, great pint will definitely return
Sunday roast was very expensive for what it was, arrived Luke warm bordering on cold. The portions are small for the price. Literally had one half of a carrot and parsnip, cauliflower cheese tasted of wallpaper paste, no cheese in it and a spoonful of cabbage. Very disappointed for the price of £22.00
This is a true oasis of great atmosphere, great friendly service and excellent food. Probably the best Sunday lunch weve ever had out.
Super nice garden area with lots of tables. Shady areas mixed with sunny. Nice food too! Excellent pot of tea!
Visiting my Aunty we decided to try this little gem of a pub with one of my Aunty’s friends , and got to say it’s a hidden gem , the only down fall we waited for nearly an hour for our drinks it was so full, but have to say the young waiter was fab he couldn’t apologise enough , I’ve worked in hospitality for over 44 years and I must say his customer service was spot on, and the food was amazing so well worth the wait , I’ll definitively be back it’s a hidden gem
The only thing going for this place is the venue. A lovely beer garden is ruined by inept staff and terrible food.Appreciate I was served by someone new, but their lack of knowledge of whats on tap and the food on offer was shocking. When the food came out, things didnt get better either... An Avacado on toast as depicted in the pictures clearly shows its been left out for a while -brown! The last time I checked if fresh an Avacado is green not brown. The burger, might as well have given me some leather to chew on. The waiting staff - they either like to get their steps in or are just inept. Went back and forth for cutlery, sauces, napkins . A lot more efficient if you go and get it all in one trip.Only got that extra second star due to the lovely beer garden which is meant to stay open til 9.45 however for some reason unknown to us was asked to be vacated by 9pm which was highly disappointing considering we didnt enjoy much of it and had to suffer the terrible service and food
Venue lovely, service good, beer v good but food underwhelming. Eton mess was actually x2 strawberries and cream, no meringue or sauce, sticky toffee pudding had hardly any sauce so not sticky and for prices being asked not good enough. Also bottle of Prosecco for £30+ is alot!!! London prices should have a bit more quality to go with it. A shame this is not considered more! We unfortunately will not be back for food!
What a find neatly tucked away. We were in the area for a show and wanted a pub type place for food and we got just what we wanted. Food was not on the plates long enough for photos but the 3 of us had a steak which was huge but slightly under done for my liking it didnt phase my partner though, friend had a burger and i opted for the fish. All were decent size portions.10 min walk from the station.Staff were polite and friendly, with warm decor. Both Dog and child friendly. Restrooms were ok, nothing to complain about. Id return.
The best patio ever for a restaurant. Super cute! Food is delicious. My only complaint is they need more staff during the time when people are stopping in after work. Waited 30 minutes for a bartender to get our drinks. Serving staff is friendly and works hard to make up for the lack of having more servers.
Lovely venue with a large outdoor dining area. The food is average, wine is OK but the range of beer on offer is poor. Overall, this place is ludicrously overpriced based on the lack of table service/app ordering. Come here if you like to sit outside on a nice day, or if you enjoy standing in a queue at the bar.
This pub have a very lovely secret back garden! It is s good one to spend some time after work with your colleagues or just go for a drinks with friends!
Many years since I was last here when the bar would have a great but busy atmosphere. Lovely to see it has lost none of its splendor, with a great and welcoming landlady. If youve never been, or not for many years recommend a visit.
Comfortable atmosphere. Wait staff courteous. Best fish and chips Ive had during my holiday. The chip I had were truly triple fried", the way I like.
Disappointed that both steak and pork chop had run out, I had the steak pie. It was served with mash and very lightly cooked leeks. Im all in favour of lightly cooked veg with a bit of bite, but if you are going to cook leeks that way, they have to be very young and tender. These were not. Service was not great, waiting staff unclear what was available or how to use the tablet to take an order. It was ok, but not great.
Fun, bustling place, people on the younger side.We were in a group of 10 - garden sitting was pleasant, beer selection voted nice, I on the other hand had a good white wine. Hovewer food doesnt stand to the overall vibe of the place - overpriced, bland and dry crab burger, very avarage fish&chips. Portions on the small side as well.
Very spacious, decent atmosphere and good food. It was a little loud for my liking but it was the first decent weather of the year so everyone was out. The drinks menu was great food menu was fine. As a vegetarian with a nut allergy it was very limiting but thats bit exactly new.
The best Sunday roast Ive had in a very long time!!Tucked away off the beaten track near Hammersmith is this pretty pub. Its like a TARDIS. From the outside its an oldey worldy small pub, but from the inside it is big traditional, full of atmosphere, great garden. I first went here in 2005 and it gets better and better every time I visit.
Ohhhhh how I love this place!!!Today was the second time back this month. Both for Private parties - we had the best time.Francesca the owner and her team are the most on point and attentive crew I think Ive ever met. They feel like family now and make us feel the same also.Francesca is quick to reply to emails, accommodating and quiet literally nothing was too much to ask.For the Second time! Ive finally been able to enjoy a large group event where nobody complained, the food wasnt sent back, where the starters didnt take an Hour to come out and the staff werent rude or overrun. I love this place! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - the emerald and peacock greens in the deco is definitely a bit of me.The chairs are comfortable and although all different - so beautifully go together. I literally cant wait til its warmer to have lunch in the garden - its so Lovely out there!! The refurb was worth the wait.... And OMD!!! The food!!! Listen if youve read this far you may as well keep reading! This food is phenomenal! Last time was the Sunday roast and this time the Fish pie. Sorry I didnt take pictures but I was too busy enjoying myself. This food is well seasoned, well cooked and my goodness they are generous with their portions - wear something stretchy trust me! And even when you Know you are full, you just cant stop eating, its to good to waste.Im literally on a mission to taste the whole Menu lol. 10 Stars to you Chef - 10 Stars.Well as you can see I enjoyed myself an so did all my guests at both events.See you soon Guys - Love Reneé x
When I normally visit Hammersmith I’m always drawn to the pubs on the river, and so this upmarket, traditional pub on Brook Green was a great find.Apparently rebuilt in 1812 and recently refurbished, the interior is much larger than the frontage suggests yet it still has a cosy feel to it. The garden too is surprisingly large.Fuller’s ales are well kept, with a good range of other drinks including guest ales on offer. Haven’t tried the gourmet food yet but it looked good.
Very unwelcoming and unfriendly attitude. What a shame, thought it’ll be my new local pub. What an irrelevant response. My ‘group’ consisted of 2 people (mum and Iand we weren’t given a table in the beer garden though it was entirely empty in the middle of the day on a Wednesday so we left 5 minutes later. Reading the response to my review and many others, you seem to feel lying is okay. Glad we chose to leave and didn’t have to experience the 50-minute wait for a terrible and highly-priced meal as described by others on here.
I really like this place. Went there several times. Food is good. The place is spacious with an incredible outdoor space and friendly staff. I only ever ate fish and chips (personal obsessionbut all other food looks good. They also have nice wine selection. Easily found a dinning table on both a Friday and a Saturday without prior booking. The drinks only area is busy. Hope you enjoy it.
A cosy pub with a relaxed atmosphere and a spacious beer garden. They also have the best Pimms in the area.
Good pub with a surprisingly big back garden! The tables were spread apart due to COVID guidelines and that probably made the place feel chilled even having a few busy tables around. Food and drinks came really fast after we ordered digitally. Service is very good and helpful. The burger wasnt amazing but was good (I wish they put more of the "secret sauce" in!and the portion of fries was definitely small. Good selection of beers and cozy elegant atmosphere inside (just very cold with the air-conditioning on).
Absolutely incredible. The manager was amazing and funny, and let us use his phone to see the menu since mine couldnt scan the QR code. He was so kind and reguarly came to check on us, the lady who waited our table with the bumble bee tattoo was also wonderful and super attentive! The food was superb, I ordered the prawn cocktail for a starter and the salmon with new potatoes for a main. The place had a beautiful atmosphere and was full as its clearly a great place but did not feel crowded at all. The garden is also gorgeous with beautiful fairy lights that feel really romantic. I loved it!Note before: The menu on the website is different to the menu they served, as I’m guessing they change it up seasonally. The two below dishes are not on the online menu but you can find them using the QR code when you get there.
Best pub in my area, lovely food and staff. The cask beer is kept really well. Great atmosphere.COVID UPDATE: the staff are extremely well organised and friendly and I feel safe here. Lots of respect to Fran and Mike for keeping up the great atmosphere in these difficult times.
Very nice and quiet beer garden in the back. We just came for a couple drinks, we haven’t tried the food. Prices were reasonable. Our waiter was a bit cold with us, and quite rude with customers seating next to us. Other than that, nice experience. We will probably come back.
Nice pub. Didnt get to check out the garden bar as they had a Shakespeare recital when we visited. Good selection of tap beers. Good food, although I thought they were a bit stingy on the mushy peas.
The Sunday Roast is incredible with all the fixings. Weve been around to several pubs for Sunday roast in the area and this has been our favorite. The service was fast and very friendly and they have a HUGE selection of whiskey which won my heart. Also, this place is huge, but it still filled up so make sure on Sunday you make a reservation. Really enjoyed this meal abd finished with a great bread pudding that was very well done.
Really nice, traditional British pub with a lot of room for bigger and smaller groups. The beer garden in the backyard is also really nice and spacious. Not too noisy nor crowded, so potentially a pub suitable for those who look for a calm but still social a nice evening.
